You will be able to see all the reviews of real people like you who have information of the products of Banff National Park (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to Alberta (Canada).
At the present this firm receives a score of 4.8 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is practically the best one, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of National park.
Visit for the park's grandeur. Nothing like it elsewhere. Was there on a Friday afternoon. It started to snow by early afternoon so I went for the hot springs first. Weather cleared up so went up Sulfur Mountain in the gondola for a spectacular view of the mountains. Very charming town at the base of mountain.
Absolutely beautiful! I could easily post 100 'gram worthy photos! We rode the Icefields Parkway as part of a Harley trip to Alaska and it instantly made my top 5 best rides list. Smooth roads, gorgeous scenery, and great weather in July. A bit crowded in spots, but that's the price for July weather. Definitely worth the side trip!
Banff is a beautiful park, but after paying for annual park passes for years, our family today visited Lake Louise to take a quick picture and encountered this. Surprise! Parks Canada is blocking all roadway parking leading up to the hotel and has set up a tent at the parking lot charging $11.70 per vehicle. Pretty greedy considering everyone already pays to get into Banff and this parking lot was built 50 years ago and maintained by the Hotel, not Parks Canada.
One of my most favorite places on earth. Gorillamoves.ca We travel here all the time
What can I say, it's one of my favorite places to go on holidays. So much to see and do and usually so little time!
One of the most beautiful Parks I have ever been too! Allow yourself plenty of time to explore and take in the beauty. Wildlife is plentiful, just keep your distance and let them be wild.
Wow! What a place to visit. There is something for everyone. Perhaps you want to tackle some peaks; there are numberless options. Easy hikes? Check. Biking trails? Check. Kayaking or canoeing? Check. Just sitting and enjoying the views? Check. There are many options and the weather in the summer is incredible.
Banff is one of our stops from our road trip to Ontario and an overnight stay is not enough to visit Banff National Park. If you want to enjoy the view and no "photo bombers" try to walk around early morning, like 6am! There are already restaurants offering breakfast meals and coffee shops too.
Banff National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Canada. No wonder it's the most visited . This is the 7th time visiting this wonderful place and it never gets old. The sheer size and beauty of this park needs multiple visits over and over to see everything. Every season has something else to offer. Love it . Will be back again
Had an amazing time here beautiful park very scenic and is always a joy to come to. Trails and bike paths are well maintained and are always an adventure. This place is the most beautiful in the winter and fall, would definitely recommend for family and friends trips and for the adventurous trail walkers and biking o limp ions.
Devil's thumb is an unreal hike, just be prepared for scrambling. Totally doable, just be safe, don't take it on without a bit of knowledge and preparation.
I consider myself lucky to experience the most beautiful mountain valley in the world. Banff is just a literal demonstration of having a price of heaven on earth. The lake between two blue mountains is a view worth dying for. Can't wait to go back there again someday.
We loved Banff and Jasper National Parks. They were fabulous and we especially enjoyed the Canadian Rockies. Banff National Park is called the Crown Jewel of Canada’s National Park System and it is one of the world’s oldest national parks, established in 1885.
You must go there at least once in your life! It’s is pleasurable in the winter to look at and even more do in summer with the sun shining on the turquoise water . The summer has a lot of crowd to take note! There is free parking and the trail is just a 5 min walk to the lake view! The public washrooms are located in the parking lot! Enjoy!
I purchased a park pass this year and have been to Banff several times. I love going to the park as there is so much to explore. I always see tons of wild life while I’m there. The town of Banff often has lots of great events going on, most recently I attended the art in nature walk along the walking trail by the bow river.
A place that has views to take your breath away. Has trails for both the coach goers and the avid hiker. Not a huge amount of wildlife outside of the squirrels and birds, but keep your eyes open for the bigger stuff tho. Just remember the further your walk the less people will be there. Tip* the car parks for all the major walks fill up around 8 / 8:30am so have a plan on where your going to park.
Banff national park is the oldest national park of Canada. You need days to visit all the mainstream tourist spots in park. Your start by visiting Banff city, Canmore city, Lake Louis, Moraine Lake, Banff gondola and the list goes on. If you are staying here more than 7 days, then I suggest you buy the annual park pass as it would be cheaper.
Even though Lake Louise Village was overcast, the snow was falling and it was beautiful. Always so relaxing and you never get tired of the view no matter where you look.
Truly magical! Parks Canada works hard to keep it in it's best condition and the rest is all natural! Wow!
Beautiful park with breathtaking scenery.
Live in Calgary and I forgot how many walking/hiking trails there are. Make the time and take a trek. The views are spectacular. Don't forget it is a "wild life" area. Brush up on what to to incase you meet a wild animal before heading out.
Gets really crowded during the summer. Everyone should at least go here once in their life even though everything is expensive here. There are plenty of trails for hiking with great views of mountains and the air is really fresh. You must visit Lake Louise and Bow River. They don't allow drones here which is shame since the scenery is just incredible.
Loved it!
I love Banff! It has so much to offer in all seasons. A must visit.
Just a great place to visit while visiting Canada. We really enjoyed our time while visiting and stopping for a bite to eat. I have many more pictures to share but need to find them on the computer. So enjoy what I've down loaded and when I come across them they will be added. Also there 3-4 more National parks in the area that we just didn't have time to get to.
Beautiful place , but don't go in holiday days or weekends. You can't see anything and you will not find any parking even to take a pic
Some of the world's most gorgeous spots, maintained intelligently and lovingly by Canada Parks. Lots of publicly managed sights and hiking so you don't have to resort to the pricey and profit-oriented entertainment options. Visitors Center is in the town of Banff and has separate queues for info on the Park and for info on the town. Personnel staffing both were very knowledgeable, bilingual, and helpful.
Banff and area is a favourite place to go for summer vacation for my husband and I. Always lots to see and do, great little shops, and excellent food choices. The scenery is stunning.
Banff is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit! I visited during August of 2020. I love everything about this place, from the mountains, to the trees. It is magnificent!!! I would definitely come back here again!!! I would also recommend anyone who is planning on visiting to explore the beauty this place holds. Nature truly is beautiful.
Just beautiful. Everywhere you look something scenic catches your eye. Then there's the bonus of wildlife. Cold and frozen, sunny and warm, dark or light. It doesn't matter. Just enjoy it. Roads are easy and well signposted.
What can i say that the photos dont already show. What an awesome experience i had traveling through Banff. It's mid June and there's still snow on the peaks of the mountains. People are so friendly and the town of Banff is a tourist haven with so much to see and do. Make sure to buy your vehicle pass the moment you get into Banff from either direction and be careful of the wildlife around while driving.
Lot of cool places to visit within the park. Every single spot is great for photos. Love the mountain view having a cup of coffee from the Downtown. FYI - A group pass cost $9.60 per day.
If you enjoy nature and hiking, not just the tourist photos but hiking in nature and climbing peaks, 1 week here is not even close to being enough. You could be out here for weeks and not even make a dent in the trails, mountains and local culture.
Passing through Banff National Park on the Ice Fields Highway is always a treat. Such beauty as far as the eye can see.
The most beautiful place I’ve been so far. The Icefields Parkway and every lake in this park is postcard worthy. A photographer’s and nature lover’s holy grail. You can’t go wrong visiting this pace. It should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The mountains are spectacular! Rogged and pristine looking. The views are inspiring! And of course stopping at Lake Louise is the icing on the cake for this amazingly beautiful area!
Outstanding scenery in the Columbia Icefield Parkway area. Parker Ridge was amazing.
Banff National Park is Canada's oldest park and has some of the most beautiful landscape imaginable. The mountains, lakes, and forest trails are unmatched. Moraine lake is probably the most photographed lake in the nation and lake Louise has pristine tourqouise water. Bow lake, Peyto Lake, and Johnston Canyon feature amazing viewpoints and natural wonders. You need at least a week to see it all. Plan ahead.
Absolutely stunning place, if you get the chance to visit, please do. You will not be disappointed. A trip up to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola is a must! If you are taking a drive up to Lake Louise, try Highway 1A rather than Highway 1, which will give plenty of stunning views and scenery, as well as the possibility of seeing wildlife such as Elk, Deer, Wolves and Bears.
What a wonderful way to spend time with the family! Banff is by far the most beautiful place you'll travel to anytime of the year, sure Hawaii is great with the beaches and warm weather, but Banff is a completely different experience, exploring nature and seeing the wildlife will absolutely open your eyes to how amazing this country we call home is. The parks Canada staff is amazing and they do a fantastic job, I'm not sure how much they get paid but for all they do I can assure you it isn't enough!
One of the most beautiful places on the earth! 10 dol per day per person or 40 dol for the family/car and when you enter a park, at the gate where you buy the pass they ask how many days you will stay and which parks you will visit, and the same pass is for all federal parks.
Amazing place
Amazing - lots of trails that are challenging but completely worth the hike. I recommend the lake Agnes trail (3 km) take a break at the tea shop then do the extra 1k hike up the little bee hive trail. Amazing views up there and not alot of people go up there. WARNING the trail is all uphill so make sure you're in shape. It's a tough hike for a beginner
One of the best places ever seen I will try to back again and see more You will enjoy each moments you are spending there and want time never passes
Beautiful and scenic experience!
This place was breathtaking!
Absolutely stunning park. You can book a shuttle for the most popular lakes, moraine and Louise, for a good price and it is very convenient leaving every 15 minutes. Excellent hiking options available. This national park should be on everyone's list.
Banff is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The mountains around it are spectacular. You feel like you are surrounded. There's so much to do in the area too. Skiing, biking, hiking, trails right in town - if you are not into that, there lots of shopping as well galleries, museums etc. Try some of the locally brewed beers or go to one of the distilleries while you are here. Take some home for gifts.
It's an amazing hike and beautiful scenery. The stops at the Tea House was simply breathtaking. Parking was a bit rough but get their early to avoid the crowds and the busses. Bring plenty of water and food for the trail.
Had fun
This place is like no other. You have to see it to understand. The water is so- clear and the colors are not like your expect, such brilliant greens and blues. Though you need to be prepared for all types of weather, especially cold and rain, the views are out of this world no matter the weather. The hikes are spectacular. The people are so friendly. Must must go!
Really amazing place to visit! Though the town of Banff is quite the tourist central, the national park it is contained within is beautiful. With mountains wherever you go, the most amazing coloured rivers and lakes, and awesome forests, Banff is for sure a place to visit. Make sure to bring your hiking shoes, because the best way to see all the park has to offer is by hiking, a lot!
Moraine lake amazing colours worth an easy hike up .. stay in the Poplar Inn.. walked easily into Banff saved parking hassles
Once in a lifetime experience to visit Banff!
Loved my stay! What a great place to come and relax. Try to get to hikes early before 9am to secure parking, if not there shuttles available ($). In any weather it is beautiful but I'm sure summer and sunny and still is the nicest. Make sure to dress warm and have solid shoes for your hike. The time of the year you come makes a difference in the color of the water so do your research ahead of time! July August are the good months if you want to see that bright color, has to do with the silt and the glaciers melting. It's still beautiful other times of the year but it's different.
Absolutely lovely, this place definitely have to be in your bucket list if you visit Canada. In winter is super magical, have to visit the lakes and do some winter sports... Or join the activities around, there is a lot free activities to do. If you check the website first.
Absolutely breath taking views! Definitely want to go back! Downtown Banff was a treat anyone can shop or dine here.
My favourite place at all time. Less busy between late fall and ski season.
Honestly one the best locations you can go and be in a majestic nature, mountains are graceful, my favourite one is *Castle* mount( uploaded a photo of it), spectacular lake Louise with great trails and beautiful road between Banff to Jasper which can be described as a road to paradise. No wonder why some people go there every year. So many hidden gems!
Am sure many have used words like beautiful, lovely, and amazing. It is, no doubt about it. Crystal clear lakes, Icefields, wildlife...it all speaks to your inner self refreshing your joy at seeing the world around you. The dismay at seeing the damage done by the beetle infestation was tragic. Changes to the landscape are happening.
I love Banff that’s my magic place
Nice scenery
Beautiful, Incredible, breathtaking. One of the best places on earth to visit. Every turn, every minute brings a new and exciting adventure. Lots of things to do for families, or singles looking to mingle. Great romantic getaway. Shopping is great, food was amazing, and our hotel moose hotel was great. Biking, hiking, canoeing, boat tours, skiing and snow boarding, helicopter rides and skiing as well, white water rafting, great for pets, so many trails. Beautiful spots for photography.
Most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen! Lake Louise, Morraine Lake, Emerald Lake. Gorgeous
This is the most beautiful place. You will enjoy every single bit if you plan ahead. Worst to spend every single minute there.
Some much to do and so many wonderful things to see. Plan ahead and give yourself a plenty of time to explore places. It's beautiful during summer and winter!
One of the most beautiful places you can go to in Canada. We went to Lake Louise/Moraine Lake and completed the Sentinel Pass hike. In Banff, we took the start of a day at Lake Minnewanka and rented a motor boat to go out into the lake. $85 for the first hour and $43 for subsequent hours. Definitely worth it. You can also fish there too.
The park is gorgeous but access to areas is limited. The website is confusing, be sure to purchase your park passes and camp passes - they’re separate. Travelling from Ontario and camping with my family, I thought it would be an awesome experience. We didn’t get there until early in the morning and struggled following signs around the park. After an extra hour of driving we found a campgrounds. It had many empty spots and staff had us pack up and suggested two different spots off the highway. Fine. But, I made it clear it was my first experience in a national park, driving across canada, and with my two kids and partner. I figured the staff might try to be more accommodating. Nope. Beautiful place, just make sure you call and get their staff to set you up, website is confusing and switches between their local park and the Parks Canada website. I was also disappointed that there wasn’t anything specific to Indigenous peoples. Different places to stay, ceremony spots, prayer spots for those who pilgrimage across Turtle Island. Being Mohawk, I was looking forward to sharing prayers with spots along the land. More work to be done, I guess! Thanks again!
Hit up Maraine Lake. Got there at about 5 am and waited for the sun to rise. This is definitely my favorite spot, as well as for others because it is PACKED by 5am. We arrived JUST in time as the parking lot was more or less full by that time. Well worth the extremely early drive!
Some of the best scenery in the world.
This is the Havana!! Amazing lack!! Very beautiful to see in your life!
Banff is Heaven on earth. It really it, nothing higher, nothing greater, nothing more beautiful than Banff and its majestic mountains, turquoise lakes and rushing waterfalls and never ending rivers. Its such peace to go here coming from a never sleeping city. I promise you this, a visit to Banff is a visit to Heaven, without the side effects of being dead.
If it's not on your bucket list, add it. Best in mid September after labor day weekend to avoid crowds and potentially see some trees change color.
This is a bucket list place for everyone. I can promise you that. There is so much to see and do here. You could spend a whole week here and not see it all. This park is a such a unique beauty. Between the mountains, the trails, the trees, and lakes, you will not be disappointed. There are so many breath taking sites. I have been here several times but my recent visit was during the massive wildfires in BC and the smoke permeated the park. It was a bit disappointing but it did bring a different sort of beauty to the park; a definite eeriness. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly but know we have to go back to take in the beauty when the smoke is cleared. We can’t wait!!
My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon in Banff National Park and are already planning our next trip there. WOW! Everywhere you look it’s like a postcard. If you are an outdoorsy person, there is nowhere better to visit. Hundreds of gorgeous hikes, horseback rides, canoeing, caving, you name it! Seriously absolutely incredible. I wish we could have stayed so much longer. Loved the Ink Pots and all of the other hikes we did there.
Banff and Lake Louise rest inside Banff National Park, so there are two things you need to know: this is remote territory and the views are unbeatable. The other thing to be aware of, if you haven’t already guessed, is that this is a paradise for outdoorsy types. Winter skiing is among the best in the world, but during the warmer months, you certainly won’t be hard-pressed to find something to do.
Absolutely stunning place. The wife and I went for 2 day camp and woke in the most beautiful area in Banff. Plenty to see along the drive between Banff and jasper. I'm from England and we have beautiful countryside but I've never seen anything like Banff. Would highly recommend it.
One of the most stunning places I’ve seen on this earth so far! We used Hop On Banff to access all major high points of the park like Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Johnston Canyon & more!
Truly one of the most incredible places in the world. Mountains and wildlife everywhere you look. It's so magical and that reflects back into the community of people that live in this area. So many wonderful things to do if you're touring through and it does not get boring if you live here. Every one in the world should have an opportunity to visit this place. No amount of words can describe the majestic landscape and no combination of pictures can take the place of how truly wonderful it feels to visit Banff National Park.
One of the most beautiful places in all of Canada! This aqua blue lake surrounded by the mountains is truly a sight to behold! It's a 2hr drive from Calgary and parking may be a bit of a challenge depending on when in summer you go. It's open all year and looks just as majestic in winter. A definitive must see if you are vacationing in Alberta.
Most beautiful and Canada's oldest national park in the Rocky Mountains. Tons of things to do and see, the Bow falls, Banff Gondola, hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, the hot springs, the coffee bars, the restaurants, the night life, all these quirky little shops, the scenic views.. just amazing and full of life! People from all around the world are there! Beautiful town with shuttle services always available.
Great hiking spots, gift shops, and sights. Simply beautiful.
Banff is such a beautiful and amazing experience. There are so many things to see and do whilst visiting this pristine pice of mother nature. You can kayak, swim in glacier waters, hike, climb, skate, ski and board, take lots and lots of photos. The night life and restaurants are amazing and a must to indulge in. There is so much wild life to take in. But remember that we are in their territory, and not to approach or feed the wild life. Always treat nature and the park with respect. Never leave garbage or footprints. I hope you enjoy this pice of heaven as much as I did.
Banff National Park is a very beautiful and picturesque park especially if you love nature and the outdoors. Banff National Park was established in 1885 and is 6641 square km in size. It has many attractions to see and do. There is some thing here in park for people of all ages. I have been here many times over the years growing up and some of my favourite attractions and things to do have been touring and sightseeing the town of Banff, downhill skiing at sunshine Village and Lake Louise ,cross country skiing the Great Divide Trail, hiking Johnson canyon both summer and winter , hanging out at Lake Louise and it’s hotel the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise ice skate on the lake and seeing the ice sculptures as well as Seeing the the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. These are just some of the many things in this park too do or see. Make sure to have a camera on you cause there is many opportunities to get some great photos and you will probably even come across some wildlife as there are many animals in Banff National Park. I always enjoy the park when I am here and would enjoy doing some other adventures here I haven’t done yet. Hope to come back here soon.
Perfect spot for hiking without going too far out of the city, wide paths, lots of small wildflowers, it makes for a great break from the concrete jungle! . It's also a super large area so you can definitely come for revisits. There are hills and the ravine. Safe and peaceful park for all. Overall a very good place for the family.
This park is to die for! It’s well maintained and clean. The views are absolutely stunning. There are so many spots to explore. It’s nature at its finest in all its glory! There are lakes, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, everything! Also got bears!! Such an amazing experience
A must visit national park in Canada. We visited in the winter and Banff was absolutely stunning. From what I hear from the locals, it's equally beautiful in the other seasons too. Can't wait to go back and do some summer hikes.
Always an incredible park to visit. Beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes and wildlife.
Beautiful in every direction. All the stores in Banff have mostly the same items which is unfortunate but you find the odd shop that has unique items worth a browse. Worth going just to walk the streets honestly.
I simply adore this park, best national park in Canada (and North America). Nature, wildlife, and infrastructure - Canada's first national park sets the bar for all others. Definitely recommend a visit!
Of course it’s the most famous picture on Instagram as the photo dose this place no justice. Stunning for sunset and sunrise. Banff has so many amazing hikes around the area with stunning area views of mountains and valleys. Definitely a favourite. Instagram is cb_kirkby for more adventures around the area
Took the gondola up the mountain at Lodge of Lake Louis. The weather was fantastic and the view was absolutely stunning. This my first time here seeing the mountains this close and I highly recommend it.
Absolutely Beautiful, most scenic drive in Canada. Don't stop here, I highly recommend going to Jasper National park after.
Amazing views. Absolutely stunning
This place by far surpassed my expectations. Absolutely a beautiful place.
Pristine water. Breathtaking views.
The best possible pictures of Lake Louise with the BC fires obstructing the views. It is still a nice lake to visit and enjoy a picnic or go hiking. There is a place to rent canoes in the summer to enjoy fun activities with the family or friends. The Fairmont Hotel has really nice gardens as well that are open for public to take a stroll.
Always beautiful, I don't mind a work trip here for the day.
Very interesting experience overall. A lot of tourists in crowded places, fascinating nature beauty and very good infrastructure. You can literally drive to almost any place, park conveniently and go hike, bike and just enjoy lakes and mountain views. People are very friendly here and you should beware only two things - bears and speed tickets. It's only 30 km per hour allowed in the city
Mountain ranges here was beyond unexpected. Gorgeous and mesmerising!
We were “split board”snowboarding in beautiful snow
Love the views in any direction. Lots of convenience whilst still in the woods.
Banff and Moraine Lake was our destination driving cross country from southeast Georgia. It did not disappoint!
Such a pretty place!
Awesome place! Better go there in June, if you want to see all these incredible lakes. As we were in May and everything was frozen. And like 15 cm snow in mountains.
Breathtaking! In every way possible. It has become quite popular and very busy. Skiing is fantastic, restaurants in Banff and Lake Louise are excellent and the scenery is unmatched.
A must do when in Alberta! Mountain views all around you is a fantastic view to wake up to! Great little town with so many things to see and do. Always a great little getaway for the family!
It was just adorable???? Peaceful, memorizing, fresh air, travelling, music and everything which you want for vacations.
I never get tired of visiting Banff National park, it's a place gives me calmness and peace, there's nothing like this place to compare.
This is definitely one of the most fascinating historical sites in Canada and around the world I have ever been to. The beauty mountains, unique pools, the prestigious lakes (like Lake Louise) & the valuable lessons about conservation and research. I will encourage everyone who is able to get to Calgary to visit Banff National Park
I only have one comment to make. It is breathtaking!! Such beauty right at home!
Wow what a lovely place but keep watch the climate before arriving. So that you will not missed the beauty of nature
The absolute best hikes! There were some road closures at this time of year, you couldn’t drive to Morraine Lake for example. We did Parker Ridge Trail and it was epic, even after walking through 200m of snow to our knees. We also stayed at Mosquito Campground which was beautiful in the snow. Can’t wait to come back another time!
Hands down the best place for hiking! At first when you go up the trails, its is difficult at hard but as you go it gets easier and easier. If you want to go to the teahouse on top of the mountain, it will take you about an hour of non-stop walking, but the view is great! You can also go even higher that will take another hour of walking and you can see everything up there.
Beauty treasure of nature
Without a doubt among the best places on the planet for scenic Nordic skiing - even at -30°! (Yes, that was anomalously cold.) The Spray River trail is beautiful and serene. Highly recommended.
2019 aug trip! Most beautiful place and i wanna go back
The park is huge and has hiking/site seeing at anyone's level. The landscape is huge and brilliant. This is a trip I think everyone should take to truly understand our world and how we influence our plant.
There's surreally coloured lakes, majestic mountains and endless outdoor adventures. Canada's first national park and the world's third, it has a rich heritage as one of the world's most awe-inspiring mountain destinations.
What can you say about Banff?? It's one of the most beautiful places on earth. Yes, the summer season is busy and expensive but it's worth putting up with the crowds. I would also recommend trying off peak seasons like October, November, March and April. It's a different experience but still amazing.
Absolutely gorgeous! Well maintained
Great place to take a walk and get a couple of good pictures
One of the top places to visit in the world and one of the most beautiful. A definite bucket list item.
Glorious outdoors! If you want to see clear blue-green glacier water, paddle into it, or hike around it, this is the place to be! The air is so fresh, and the wildlife is everywhere! You can make impromptu plans to visit the area for the day, but expect to pay a lot for a hotel (or even hostel) in the area, even with prior plans and booking. More than enough parking for any specific site, lake, hike, or river, just remember to buy a National Park Pass if you want to wander in or through the park!
So much to see and so much discover. A single day simply isn't enough.
You must visit the elegant park.
Loved it! There is so much to do in terms of hiking. You need at least a week if you enjoy hiking in the Canadian Rockies!
What to say? This is one of the most amazing places on Earth. Lake Moraine, Lake Louise and Johnston Canyon are the most popular places there so it gets super busy. Get up early (like really early, you need to be on the trails around 7:30 to 8h) if not you won't find parking near these trails. The farthest reaches of the park are located on the Icefields Parkway. It gets less busy there, and if you are driving to Jasper National Park, you must do the Parker Ridge Trail for a spectacular view.
What can I say? A gemstone in the province of Alberta at just 1.5h west of Calgary. The town of Banff is very busy all year around but if you go for a (long) hike on the many trails you'll get the peace and quiet that you're looking for. Some of the trails are not suitable for little kids.
Looking forward to coming back! Honestly you need to experience it to appreciate this. Words are not enough to express the beauty here.
Beautiful park! Amazing views of lake louise, lake moraine and many other places. I really enjoyed the plain of six glaciers tea house and the beehive trail. The views are amazing whether you're up high on the mountain or right by the lake. It snowed and was very cold when I went the first week of October but still an amazing experience that I'll never forget!
Banff National Park is Canada's oldest national park, established in 1885. Located in Alberta's Rocky Mountains. Very beautiful place to visit.
The most beautiful place in the WORLD!!!! This place is amazing it's so beautiful. Everywhere you look you have unbelievable views just the drive was amazing. Extremely recommended. Bring a jacket it gets cold
The iconic Banff National Park is therapy to the soul! But get there early if you want to park at Lake Louise! Still crazy busy until first snow fall! Come see the seasons change, fall is the best here next to winter bit beautiful year round nonetheless!
Amazing Park! Just stay out of the busy areas! The scenery in the park is amazing but the town and the lake Louise area are just to crowded. Moraine lake looks beautiful but parking lot was full at 6:30, lake Louise is busier than a NYC street (seriously), and the town of Banff had some of the worst traffic I've experienced. Now the rest of the park is a pure joy! Helen lake is an all time favorite, Parker ridge is the best view for effort in a hike I have ever done. Just stay away (or get there very early like before 6 am) the busy areas and you will love Banff.
This amazing piece of earth just cannot be described in just a few words. It's something one needs to experience to understand. The Banff NP offers endless number of hiking trails of all levels. Also Banff town itself is totally worth to visit as it's a lovely alpine town located in the valley between the rocky peaks and its hot springs is a nice bonus after a long day outdoors. If you ever think of visiting Canada this is a place you want to go to.
Growing up in Toronto, and living in a 24/7 rush hour. This truly is a place from heaven. The mountains are just amazing. You can drive and wonder are we there yet... Trust me you'll know when you see them. Giants in the sky.....where the earth meets heaven. That's the only way to describe it There's lot to see lotsthe to do. The water, well it's like someone just painted the bottom of Lake the night before to nice emerald green. Have fun!!!
I'm 24 years old and to this date, this has been the most incredible place I've visited in my entire life. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive from Calgary, filled with scenic beauty and comfortable drive. It has two most amazing lakes covered by mountains called moraine lake and Lake Louise where you can do kayaking and take a hike. If you have money and are healthy, I'd seriously recommend going to this place before you die. This is truly a heaven on earth.
The review for Jasper National Park that I posted 2 weeks ago has received a lot of attention, which encourages me to write this one, for Banff National Park. Actually they were the same trip, and its primary goal was to see Lake Louise in Banff. There are many beautiful lakes in Banff. Without a doubt, Lake Louise is the most magnificent one. The white mountain peaks surrounding the lake were painted to oranges as the Sun was rising. The lake looked like a perfect mirror, which doubled the beauty. You don’t want to miss this spectacular moment. It is a stunning scenery.
Superb scenic views Best time to visit May-June or Sept mid if not winter lover Make sure to have enough arrangements if visiting Jasper from Banff (very less gas stations in between)
They should not sell the firewood pkg online for camp site that have a fire ban listed . Otherwise it was beautiful,
Nothing needs to be said - A MUST EXPERIENCE!
A great place to visit. Scenery is stunning across the park. Many trails to hike. The trails around the lakes and to the high view points offer a good workout, and breathtaking views of the clear turquoise, teal and light blue water (depending on the lake and the time of the year). Winters here are beautiful to see and a bit dangerous to experience (especially without appropriate equipment).
Very touristy but great view, great places to eat and many different stores to buy cool trinkets to remember your stay here
Banff National Park is the Switzerland of North America. It is absolutely gorgeous and should be on everyone’s bucket list to visit during the summer and winter seasons. I’ve visited during the winter and the scenery is breathtaking. I cannot wait to revisit during the summer months. If you do plan on visiting a couple times a year and staying within the park for more than 5 days, it is more worth it to purchase a year pass rather than daily pass. The yearly pass also grants you with free tickets to certain museums.
What a gorgeous drive full of amazing scenery! We had an absolutely magical time. Going up to Sulphur Mountain was well worth it. We had clear sunny weather and went for a hike up there....nothing compares to the quiet and wide open view of snowy trail along the mountain. I'm grateful we wore crampons and had walking sticks and would recommend that for hiking. There is a boardwalk too if you don't want to hike on the trail. We lived walking through the town of Banff and visit the gift shops. (Cascade gifts had reasonable prices.) Parking behind the visitor information was free and most central in my opinion.
Best place in the world. This one is world heritage site. Must must must visit
No words for the beauty of this place
BANFF - purely mesmerizing national beauty spot. It is truly one of the most incredible places in the world. Loved every bit of the visit. Mountains and wildlife everywhere you look. It's so magical. No amount of words can describe the majestic landscape and no combination of pictures can take the place of how truly amazing it feels to the eyes while actually witnessing it.❤️????
If you are traveling the Canadian Rockies I must strongly suggest NOT to start in Banff. Reason being that is so much more beautiful than it's Northside sister, Jasper. You want to have your breath taken away over and over again on a good trip and that would happen starting in Jasper and working South down to Banff.
The icefields parkway is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Nothing truly compares.
Many are unaware of these beautiful gardens tucked behind the old government building just across the bridge on Banff Avenue. The flowers, water features, peaceful pathways and benches have been restored to their original beauty after the 2013 flood. A 'must see' sight in Banff!
What can I say that is not already been said. This place is beyond amazing. We only spent a couple of days here and I wish we had spent at least a week. We hiked from the hotel at Lake Louise to the Tea House (2100m) then on to 6 Glaciers Lookout and then far beyond that. It was cold and rainy and the terrain was rough and I was in absolute heaven. This is a trip that I will definitely make again
This was a beautiful place! Banff, Canada is full of wonders, no matter what your physical capabilities are. In fact, I went with my Grandmother and still had a great time! The reason why I loved visiting was because it was so natural at its core; The drive across the Icefield Parkway itself is to kill for, with views that rivaled that of the Himalayas. You should also go to Jasper if you are in the area.
An absolutely breathtaking experience. The Rockies are beautiful and make you feels small. Once you summit one of these beauties, you feel like you’re on top of the world!!!
I love this place???? world’s most beautiful place⛰????
After years of dreaming of coming here I finish managed to do so. I was astounded by the sheer magnitude of the mountains placing themselves in the background of our everyday view. With the wildlife, city, scenic view and sky always a blistering beauty, I have never seen a national park quite as beautiful before. A trip that I will never forget, I recommend this to anyone who wants a change of view from general city life. The only issue would be that the prices of shops around the park are increased but the hikes and trails were incredible.
Best park in the country. The mountains the towns the scenery is all soo beautiful. So much to do and never gets old. I support the park every year with purchasing my seasonal pass. Got married in Banff and made for a perfect wedding. Tons of close skiing resorts or hiking. Also lots of camping inside or just outside of park. Highly highly recommend going to see.
Mother nature at its best , so much more to explore after spending 3 nights in Banff , 2 in Jasper and 1 in Lake Louise
Just beautiful. If you can only go to one, I definitely recommend this park over Glacier National Park in Montana. Highly, highly recommend.
Beautiful and wild nature all around, need to be prepared for masses of people on most popular spots though. Amount of hikes that can be done is huge, so everybody can find what suits himself.
One of the best places on earth so much love to be able to visit it’s 100% recommended to visit
I've been in number of parks and Banff is one of the most spectacular parks out there. Magnificent mountains, pristine clear lakes and preserved Spruce and Larch forests. Lake Moraine is stunningly beautiful. Especially around noontime when lake is piercing blue color. You'll get coolest photos ever ???? Dont miss it, must see!
The most beautiful and great national part around Canada even around the world
Banff is just a perfect place! We do a lot of hiking so to us, this is paradise! If you have never been to Banff I would check out Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake.. also the drive from Banff to Jasper is spectacular!
An unforgetable experience to say the least! I just got back from Alberta and seeing this magnificent park, one of the oldest in the world, has been on my bucket list for a long time! From wildlife, to beautiful lakes, alpine forests and canyons, there is something for everyone here! Plan at least a week here to see many of the major landmarks and enjoy your time!
Banff and Yosemite are the most beautiful, grandiose places that I have ever been to. All the hikes, all the lakes, nature, gorgeous blue and green colors just give you a zest to life. You can’t go to Alberta without visiting Banff.
"Very kind staff and amazing atmosphere, not to mention the incredible scenery
It's one of the most amazing national park I've ever been. Visit the visitor center before planning for your stay if you want to do hiking.
A perfect place. So much to see and do. So much human history with a charming Banff townsite and Banff Springs the architecture in that setting is just sublime. But obviously it’s the natural wonders that bring the people here. Countless sights all magnificent, one of the prettiest drives in world.
Visited Banff in late April - expect fluctuating weather, from 0 degrees to 16 degrees. It gets hot in the noon but gets really chilly at night. Beautiful lakes and amazing hikes to do
Beautiful park with so much to do! Lake Louise is a classic, but my favourite was lake Moraine. A must visit if you get the chance! Moraine is only open in some parts of the year (summer months), and parking fills up very quickly. When I went, however, my friend and I were able to pay for a shuttle (that operates out of the overflow parking lot about 5-10km before the village that leads to Louise/Moraine). This was about 15$, if I'm not wrong, and came with a 10% discount for use at the canoe rental/food store at the lake itself, which we took advantage of!
Everytime I visit here, the beauty of nature mesmerizes me. Beautiful lakes and camp grounds surrounded by mountains. People travel from across the World and I have been so lucky to be residing close to Banff, less than 2 hours of driving. This is heaven for people who love hiking, camping and nature.
What can I say? This is one of my favourite places on earth. The beauty here is incredible and you can over and over and over again and always find a new trail to explore. Banff National Park is where I go to reset myself and find peace when the world becomes busy and heavy.
Banff Gondola was an amazing experience.... Beautiful and a great place to visit and explore. The downside - the Lunch buffet at the sky restaurant was a nightmere, it cost 27$ and anything packaged like bottle water, juice are extras ... the food was tasteless and the chicken poorly steamed - look gross... I have a picture attached. Asides the food it’s a nice place to be! Make sure you purchase your meals downtown Banff...
Hands down one of our favourite places to visit. So much history and natural beauty to be seen here. You could easily spend weeks here and not see everything. It is great for a day trip from Calgary, over night camping or staying in a hotel and offers excellent food, sites , hiking and so much more. There is something for everyone to be seen in Banff National Park!
What an amazingly beautiful place. We hiked at Lake Louise and also stopped in the town of Banff. Definitely plan to return. It was magical. A place to breath and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
Hands down one of the most beautiful national parks We have ever been to so many waterfall gardens and hikes. The wild life is everywhere will definitely return
So so beautiful!! Incredible amounts to see and gorgeous landscapes! Lineups were quite long for waterfall viewings but to be expected i guess! Long hike so definitely recommend bringing a bag with some snacks and water! Also use the bathroom before hand as there is none along the way!
You can see spectacular views of Rockies mountains. And you will know there must have a creator to design these beautiful nature for us. Please come and enjoy everything by your own.
Beautiful Banff National Park in heart of the Canadian Rockies.
We love Banff National Park. Purchased a discovery pass. Can't wait to come back and do some more trails! If you're visiting more than a few days, the discovery pass is worth it and helps contribute to maintaining all parks across Canada. The day passes are only worth it if you're staying a couple of days and don't plan on visiting any other Canadian national parks within a year of the pass purchase.
Banff National Park is famous for its surreally coloured lakes, majestic mountains and endless outdoor adventures. Canada’s first national park and the world’s third, it has a rich heritage as one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations.
Banff is incredibly beautiful and filled with all types of wildlife. From Grizzlies to wolves, moose, mountain goats, down to the cutest squirrels and foxes. The park passes are reasonably priced. Be prepared to spend at least a week or more to check out all of the magnificent scenery and attractions. Banff has so many attractions, we were glad we had planned what we were going to do and see. Check out the hot springs. Very cool but not quite what I imagined. They have been made to look like swimming pools, but nevertheless, relaxing. Downtown is filled with great shops and the people are friendly. From horseback riding to hikes for every ability, this place is a wonder to behold. The Canadian Rockies and the glaciers take your breath away!!!!
Banff National Park has a subarctic climate with three ecoregions, including montane, subalpine, and alpine.
Such a beautiful place, the views are breathtaking
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent..A must on every bucket list! The weather was not cooperative when we arrived but the majestic mountains and turquoise water more than made up for it.. Must see- 1. Scenic drive to the Columbia Glacier Center 2. Peyto Lake 3. Moraine Lake (Fav) 4. Johnston Canyon 5. Lake Louise
Amazing place. Beautiful lakes and rokies.
What a magnificent place. So many things to do and see. For camera buffs this is definitely a place to visit. Wish we could have stayed longer
Banff was amazing. We had such a short trip, we are already planning to return. We didn't get to do much, but what we saw was majestically beautiful. We highly recommend getting the shuttle up to Moraine Lake. We even took a canoe out on it. It was pretty expensive, but well worth it as it was the highlight of our trip!
Best in Canada ????
Excellent place to visit with the family. Necessary to refresh your mind. Highly recommended
Well, what can I say. No single review can describe this incredible place. Best to spend at least 1 week investigated this place. Even then, you will bearly scratch the surface. My recommendation is to visit the various visitors centres to find out about the best attractions and latest information.
Beautiful mountain views. Very scenic. Incredibly beautiful place to just come walk around. We came here many times before. Today was rainy so the mountain views were harder to see but is still such a beautiful place.
This area has some of the most amazing natural beauty I have ever seen. The forest is beautiful. The town is nestled in the middle of a national park. The beautiful lakes in the surrounding area cannot be done justice by photos. The experience was amazing and so much wildlife there. The town is filled with great places to eat and wonderfully friendly locals.
Great scenery, convenient road access (via Trans Canada Highway #1), and Canadian hospitality. The only downside is huge crowds during the summer season, visit during June or September to avoid them. Oh, and don't forget the three major ski hills (Sunshine, Louise, and Norquay).
I visited Banff during late winter, and still there was a lot of snow. It's good for skiing though. During spring and summer, the Banff gondola would be great. Also hiking on trails during summer are very popular. During my visit, I went to the hot springs to take a swim. It was a great experience swimming in waters at 39C, when it's freezing outside.
Beautiful area. Beautiful views of the mountains and lots of wildlife. Many hiking spots. The roads through Banff seem to be more busy. People drive a little faster through here than they should, especially with the wildlife around the sides of the road. Saw grizzly bears crossing the road and mountain goats. Lots of Elk also. A must visit for anyone. Love it here and will be back again in the near future!
Very beautiful place, everyone should visit once
An amazing national park with tons of beauty in nature and cute little towns. Perfectly preserved wilderness just shows that Canada takes it seriously. The Sulphur mountain hike in Banff offers a great 360° view of the valley and the town of Banff, and for additional 36 dollars you can take the gondola down! P.S. Remember to bring your proof of vaccination if you want to be able to use the services on the peak of the mountain.
I love this park. The mountains are breathtaking. We went out to Lake Louise on this trip. It was cold but we had a wonderful time. We even hiked to Mirror Lake. Then finished the day at Lake Moraine. A terrific day.
Absolutely stunning! Loved that there were viewpoints throughout the park so you could get out and take pictures. Lots of clearly marked hiking trails as well, and opportunities to see wild animals. Pet friendly, too.
Excellent place.
Amazing! Take your time to see all the beautiful view, don't rush to take a photo and leave.
From Japan :) Everything was breathtakingly beautiful. In summer season, make sure to arrive early at some famous places like Lake Louise, as the parking lot might be fully occupied. Besides, there were more police cars than expected. Safe drive.
Banff & the Canadian Rockies has a wealth of must-do activities, set amongst spectacular winter scenery.
The best park in Canada . The nature at its best.
Incredible views! Ride the Banff Gondola up the mountain, you won't regret it. Great hiking trails and the town of Banff is very cute with great shopping. Would live to go back in the spring or summer and see Lake Louise!
The most beautiful national park I’ve seen so far. You should go in the morning to enjoy the views and lakes before it gets busy as this is the most touristic place in Alberta probably. Moraine lake is probably the busiest and you cannot find a parking spot there if you go in the summer after 7 am. Lake Louise’s parking can get full around 8-9 am too. A lot of adventures and activities to do there; hiking, biking, kayaking, mountain climbing, seeing animals, literally everything. Also downtown is beautiful and full of places to dine and shop for souvenirs and so.
The park is spectacular. We went in early spring and the bears were just waking up. I recommend the hike up tunnel mountain if you are looking for an easy/moderate hike. It only takes about three hours round trip.
In this time of covid our vacations are limited and I'm lucky to live a few hours away from one of the most beautiful places on earth. I had a great vacation in banff took in a few stroller friendly hikes in the city and lake minawanka. Was a great time.
Wawwww
Greatest place to visit in Canada. Plenty of activities to do on your visit. Blue torquoise lakes with snow capped mountain, meadow and alpine ranges. Sightseeing, biking, hiking, stroll the main street, visit the hot springs, hoodoos, take the Gondola to Sulphur Mountain, visit Bow Falls, Fenland Park, Vermillion Lake. Great food and friendly people. Views, views and did I say more amazing views. So much activities to do there’s just not enough time. Lake Louise, Kananskis, Jasper and Canmore area are all a short drive away if you’ve got more than a weekend to spare. Super beautiful. You’ll be amazed and will definitely return.
The most fantabulous scenery! Living in Lower Mainland BC I was worried that I might have been spoiled with magnificent views, but Banff was just exceeded any possible expectations! Make sure to drive along the gravel road to the “three sisters” mountains, float along the Bow River (you won’t believe the colour of it) and go up to the Lake Louise and Lake Agnes for the breathtaking views
One of my favorite places to visit. So many things to see. You can spend a day here and that would just scratch the surface.
One of the most beautiful Canadian landmarks.
I've been to many places around the world and few are more beautiful than Banff (and Jasper) are
With Cascade Mountain to the north and Sulphur Mountain to the south, the town of Banff boasts a magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountain setting. Travelers are spoiled for choice by the irresistible combination of luxury lodges, perfect powder, renowned restaurants and energetic nightlife on offer. With both summer and winter appeal, Banff lures visitors to its stores, spas and slopes year-round.
So Beautiful! However, it's like Disneyland in the summer months. Lots of tourists, so be sure plan ahead cause parking at major destination points fills up fast. Also, there are a lot of trails that most tourists won't even go near, so be sure to check out different hikes at the visitor centers. Please be respectful of wildlife and also pick up after yourself.
Absolutely beautiful. Something you have to see in person to truly enjoy. I would like to go back and see everything I missed. Lake Louise and Lake Morraine are both go to’s. This lake in the sunset pictures is a lake that was near our campsite, not sure of the name.
Banff is always a great place to visit. Went camping at Two Jack Main for 2 nights and it was great. The campsite was clean and plenty of firewood available. The washroom has flush toilets and is cleaned often. Two Jack Lake itself is great too, but it does get busy, especially on the weekends. Get there by 9:30am if you want to park close, otherwise it's parking on the side of the highway with a little bit of a trek down to the shoreline. Staff is great, especially when dealing with a lot of people during COVID times.
One of the best places I have ever been. Must go place in Canada. Try swimming in Lake Louise.
Everyone says it's beautiful so I'll let the assumptions be and just say there comes a point when your staring at the scenery and you identify and connect souls with a range that moves you so much you want to cry. That might be from some wine but the feeling was true enough. Every mile gives you a new perspective from the most breathtaking rocks you'll ever see.
Beautiful Park!! Plenty of affordable places to stay and camp if you have a van, RV, or a tent. I recommend Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise, and Tunnel Mountain campgrounds. Beautiful Wildlife Everywhere! Would be hard to not get a photo of an Elk or a Deer, at the very least. Lake Louise and Lake Moraine are must see places! Both have good trails around the lakes for a nice hike. Being a Snowbird, Spring snd Summer seem like the months for me to visit. Winter may be nice for skiers and people who like to dress in layers. I love Canada, this place is great representation of the beautiful Canadian landscapes and people.
amazing place all around
The oldest Canadian national park, Banff National Park in Alberta, is endowed with great natural wealth. Established in 1885, this park is located in the Rocky Mountains region where it protects 6,641 square km of picture-perfect natural landscapes and pristine wilderness. Tourists to the Banff can enjoy their stay at some of the world-class resorts in the area. Mountain climbing, trekking, kayaking, wildlife watching, etc., are some popular activities that tourists to Banff can enjoy.
Lake Minnewanka Super nice ambiance.. Not crowded look for a better spot to take a picture. Wild animals are on the area so extra careful.
No matter if summer or winter, always beautiful.
Surely one of the greatest places to exist on this ridiculous planet. Not even the busloads of tourists carted in daily from Calgary for a selfie shuffle round Lake Louise can tarnish the overwhelming awe of being cradled in this ribcage of the world. The crown jewel of Canada - a sublime, sacred place. Don't come here.
Incredible scenery. Loved exploring the Canadian Rockies. Accommodations were extremely expensive even during a pandemic summer.
Very beautiful place like taking day trips out to the mountains
Canada's first national park, good indication throughout, and it's roads are well maintained year round.
Next will be here Winter
A world famous place for a reason. Absolutely unforgettable wilderness for everyone to enjoy. Yep, it get super busy, but it's worth it. Places like this remind me why I love this part of the world so much, and I can't take it for granted! The only downsides are that it's so beautiful, it's become quite touristy and hard to truly take in all the beauty without feeling slightly claustrophobic. But! The entire surrounding area is just as majestic, so go explore (on designated trails)!
Just love it. There are so many places to see. A nice get away form the city. Peaceful and relaxing place. A few camp grounds available around this area. You can go for a gondola ride or ride your bike or go for a hike. Absolute heaven.
I recommend it for nature lovers, I have never seen nature in all its beauty before. The city of Banff is well equipped with everything you might need, hotels lodges restaurants, guided tours.etc.
A MUST VISIT!!! BEAUTIFUL PARK WITH BREATHTAKING SCENERY!!????????
Amazing tourist destination located in Banff Alberta, there is so much to do here, so many sights to see, just ask at the visitor centre and the staff will be happy to give suggestions.
Absolutely beautiful on a scenic level, plenty to do all year round whether it be boarding, rafting hiking or climbing but very very busy in the summer months. Definitely worth a visit! Banff itself has an awesome party scene too!
