This place is a scam, owner Amid tried selling me 3 years old wheels by stating they were off New car. When I questioned after pointing to the year printed on wheels, he couldnt accept that I found it's not new and started to yell and gave me a bad time. Real bad customer experience and I am happy I didn't fall in for his lies. To your response below, you were very rude and you couldn't take when I pointed out the year of manufacturing. Even after I agreed to pay the price you insulted me in front of other customers and you called me a bad customer because I tried bargaining after knowing it's old rims, what should I name you when your ad says something and you behave rude with your customers? If you don't know how to do business and treat your customer well, you should not be in business. You just lost a good customer and may be many more referrals.

I considered a few places before bringing my wheels to Union Rim Repair and I'm very glad I chose this shop. Omar took care of me from start to end, very thorough and accommodating every step of the way. From my experience, everyone I've interacted with here was pleasant. Initially I was going to refinish only two wheels and I ended up changing my mind and decided to do a complete colour change refinish. Called Union Rim after dropping off 2/4 wheels off and Omar told me not a problem so I came back with the other two wheels a couple days later and told me he'll call me in two weeks time when they are ready. Not even two weeks later, I have now picked my wheels up. They were mounted with tires and balanced. They look absolutely amazing in the matte finish and all details in the edges of the lettering on the wheel are crisp and sharp, couldn't be more happier. I'd like to add that they didn't try to upsell me on anything. Their wheel straightening is an additional cost and they are very transparent that they spin the wheel on the balancer for you to see. I actually wanted them to straighten all four wheels in my set, two of which were slightly bent and they advised me it wasn't necessary. I highly recommend this shop, what you're getting is quality and honest work at a good price with a solid turnaround.

I went to Union Rim to look at rims for summer tires for my car, the gentleman that assisted was very helpful and knowledgable, he showed me the rims I had initially come in to look for, then showed me some others which I ended up choosing. They were able to offer me an excellent price on rims and tires installed. I was very happy with the quality of service, the speed, and the price. To top it off, I had forgotten my wallet (and driven in from an hour away) the gentleman helping me offered send me a PayPal invoice which I could pay on my phone, so I didn't have to drive home and back.

Had a great experience here buying winter tires for a Golf Sportwagen. I wasn't sure if 15 inch rims would fit on it and so the staff (plus the nephew) stepped up to help me in determining that it should be fine, but I could return/exchange them if they were too small. Ended up with a perfect combo of Barum Polaris 3 tires on 15 inch steelies which I mounted and torqued myself at home. The grip on snow is amazing! My jetta with all seasons feels like it has completely bald tires by comparison. Look up minus sizing to understand why it's best to get the smallest rim size you can for winter tires. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Union Rim has been my "go to" guys whenever I need something done or fixed, and if he can't(not much he can't do) he'll point you in the right direction. Excellent craftsmanship and creativity, and they have several services that aren't offered anywhere else in the GTA. John is super honest, which is hard to find especially in this industry.

My aluminum wheels were severely corroded due to salt on the roads. John refinished them to as new condition, see photos below. Customer service is outstanding. I sent John an email with photos for a price quote and heard back from him within minutes. I dropped the wheels off and picked them up about 10 days later. I will only use these as non winter wheels to maintain their appearance. They were refinished and then clear coated. I'd highly recommend this place for any wheel related work.

It was a big mistake going to these guys, they told me they could fix my cracked rim and the finished product was actually embarrassing to look at. They told me they could make it very very close to 100% but wouldn’t be perfect. When I got it there were air bubbles and it was completely out of shape. The Boss wouldn’t even let me explain anything he just said his employee told me this is how it would come out and they are not going to reduce the price or do anything about it They lies to me and wasted 3 to 4 weeks of my time DONT GO HERE

This is the place to go!!!!! 6 stars out of 5!!! I own a 2020 RAM1500 Laramie Sport Black Night Edition with double spoke satin black 22 inch rims. I had curbside scratched the right side wheels one day and I took them here for repair. Amazing job!!! They fixed them and they look again brand new. They will also offer you all the options on how they can fix your problem from the cheapest to the most expensive... I hope they will stay in the business for ever!!! Highly, highly recommended!!! P.S. I'm posting the before pictures of the wheels. I will add the after ones soon, once I'm back from the cottage area where I use my all terrain wheels and tires!

3 different wheel places told me the barrel puncture on my wheel was unrepairable, union said they could fix it no problem. A week later it's as good as new. Kind of wish I had them paint it, but I can probably do it myself. Not sure if the raw weld will cause a greater chance of rust?

I've brought several sets of wheels, some needed welding, most needed straightening and all needed powdercoating. Compared to listings on classifieds that offer ridiculously low prices ranging from $200 to $400; they unfortunately lack in finish, even application, and most skip on coating the wheel barrel (the bit covered by the tire), while not taking the time to cover the hub, not to mention the amount of dust and particulate in the finish that is an absolute eye sore. Union Rims is one of the more pricier shops, though the level of prep work that goes into stripping the wheel to bare metal and final finish is second to none. They offer warranty on their repair and powdercoating, and I have not had to make any claims thus far. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, the one staff member I prefer dealing with is Omar (tall friendly guy). He is able to give me a price quote over the phone and so there are no surprises when I visit the shop, though for first time visitors, I'd recommend emailing the shop with detailed images for the most accurate quote. P.s, a good facility is usually backed up by 2-3 weeks. If they're not backed up, it's a good sign that they're probably not a good place to go to.

Brought my rims in to be welded. They seem to have done a good job. But a few issues with their service. 1. They expect you to contact them to find out when your rims are ready. They’ll take your number. They’ll give you an estimated time they will be done. They won’t do anything until you call a few days after their promised date to start working on your rims. 2. Sketchy billing practice. They tried to charge me full price again after I already paid a deposit when I dropped off my rims. Problem is, they would have never taken the job without getting a deposit. So there is no way they “forgot”. They were hoping I forgot.

Brought in an OEM 18" VW wheel that got scratched from 1 of the 10 million potholes in Toronto to be repaired. I have used other wheel repair shops before and Union Rim Repair not only was cheaper, they were also faster and the quality of work is bar none. My only regret is that I didn't bring all 4 wheels to be refinished (to a darker hyper black/gunmetal finish), but I'll most definitely bring them here when I do. UPDATE: I ended up bringing all 4 wheels back to Union Rim for a hyperblack refinish and to patch up some more scratches. Couldn't be happier with the results! I can't say enough good things about the shop and the quality of their work. I feel the negative reviews are people complaining for the sake of complaining and not giving the right context. Union Rim is by far the best wheel repair/re-finishing shop I've ever used and they give great pricing on tires too!

EDIT: Seems like the owner has replied. Please note the issue was NOT solved (as they seem to imply in their reply) - I still have the emails where they never stated extra charges for having the wheels on the car. It seems the easiest method here for their rebuttal is to blame the customer - I'm very disappointed. If you see their reply, everything is along the lines of "You should have done ..." - well, as a business, you should have practices in place to ensure I don't have to ask questions for hidden charges :) Got one of my rims powder coated recently. I chose to go here due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and I was left somewhat underwhelmed. I initially inquired through email with them on the cost to get one of my rims powder coated, and I was told it would cost $130-$150. Great - so I drive up there, and upon arrival I was told it would cost $160 - not a good start. Next, they checked the rim by spinning it on a machine and it was bent - so they offered to do get that fixed as well - $200 for everything. I decided to do this. I then left my details, they said it would take a week, and gave me an invoice # to call in a week to check the status. Why couldn't they call when it's ready? Who knows - maybe this $200 job isn't worth their time. A week later I call (first time calling went to voicemail) and on the 2nd try they picked up and said it was ready. I came in to pick it up, and the process was quick - but they never bothered to show me that they actually fixed the bent rim by spinning it (the same process used to show me it was bent to begin with) so it left me a bit skeptical. Anyways, paid the $200 and now I'm on my way. Overall - the customer service here is poor. $200 is a good amount of money, but I felt like this was insignificant to them as I didn't feel like I was valued here as a customer. Also, raising the cost from what was initially discussed is not good business practice. This is all feedback I hope they take a look at. I haven't installed the rims on the car yet to see if the bent rim was fixed, but I will be doing that soon. So right now I can't speak to that. I would say this shop has potential to be good, and live up to the positive reviews I saw, but my experience left me unhappy. RIM shops are a dime a dozen, and I had a handful of other places to go to for this job, so I really do hope to see a reply here from the company on my experience.

I knew that my BMW rim needed to be welded but after it was removed it was obvious there was also an obvious flat spot on the rim. In general, this is the go-to place to fix your bend wheels. Their service is professional and relatively fast. The price they charge is also reasonable. The only unreasonable part, in my point of view at least, is that they charged me a inspection fee for one of the wheels since it is not bent. Given I had 3 wheels fixed at the time, and given checking whether a wheel is bent or not is very easy if they have a balance machine, I think the inspection fee should not be charged. Anyway, I will recommend this place for rim straightening.

Just wanted to share my two cents on Union Tire Rim and Repair upon a disappointing experience with them. After seeing their great reviews on Google and on VW forums, I decided to give them a try on a bent rim for my GTI. Left the rim off last Saturday, picked it up today. Please keep in mind I am no professional, and not very familiar with the process. After a little negotiation, they gave me a price which I thought was a little high, but we shook hands. An older gentleman that works at the shop (probably owner, or management), told me it would be “perfect, like new”, and “you won’t see any difference” once it would be done. Fast forward to today, I picked it up. I don’t know how good of a job this is (given I have no experience n the field), but this is not “perfect”. Please see the pictures. To me, it looks like the promised filling was never added, they just added weights to the rim. When you tell a customer it’ll look brand new, be prepared to get the job done flawlessly. Had they told me from the beginning that its original condition would be unattainable, I would have reacted way differently. I gave them two options, they take it in and fix it, and I had no problem paying what was agreed, or they give me a discount and I will take it as-is. Although I won’t tell you the price, I asked for a $40 discount (which is NOTHING). What bothered me the most, is the following: “We’ll give it back to you for what you’re asking, we don’t want to waste our time with you. However, don’t come back again. You can come for the free coffee, but do not bring your rims to us again”. Now, I know the customer service industry, really. There are a lot of people that just love complaining about anything. I’ve worked in this industry, and I try to be as polite and respectful as possible – which I was. At the end of the day, they put in work. BUT, if your work is not what you said it would be, be prepared to take some accountability and admit your fault. I am now turning to you. As a car enthusiast, a customer, or a business owner, what would you think of this? Would you want to take your car here? How would you react when you come to pick up whatever you needed fixed, and you get this sort of attitude? I want to make this shop realize that what they did was not worth it. And making a customer feel bad for your own mistake AND giving them that much attitude is absolutely unacceptable and should not be tolerated. I have yet to put the rims on and see if I have any other issues. I will definitely not take my rims there again and won't waste their time ;) PS. Rims are from the Clubsport in Europe.

Amazingly great group of people here. I had a concern my wheels still may have been out of balance, but they verified they had been balanced and even double checked for my peace of mind. The techs in the back were able to explain the issue, and they were right about what the issue was (tires were sitting too long on another vehicle so a flat spot occurred). The refinishing job they did on my machined wheels looks flawless. They were able to fill in the curb rash and make them look new. Can not thank them enough for such good work.

This is my second time having them repair/refinish rims for me. Both times John went above & beyond to make sure I'm satisfied with the result. Take note that these guys are very busy, so there is four week wait on average. This, however, only speaks to how good their work is, since customers wouldn't flock to a place with bad reputation.

Not going into details because one can read all the other long written one star reviews. Basically not able to listen to customers, not able to offer other salotion, stubborn, interruptively, and very disrespectful. I'm a pretty laidback and understanding person but these guys are a pretty disrespectful company. Hahaha, this guy now responds to my comment. Funny part is he's disabled the comment for me to write back on his comment, so I'll do it here. this way people may see how funny this situation is. So, sir if you're reading this please know I never said I owned an R8 I tried to tell you that my one rim had a small hair line fracture directly behind one of the spokes of the barrel on one of my R8 "replica rims". You might of mistaken what i said because I had to repeat my self every time because one was rudely interrupting. You kept wanting a picture of the damage but you wouldn't alow me to finish explaining that the rim was on the car and that the crack was so miner that one wouldn't be able to tell in a photo. So, I tried telling you this and to see of another way to temporally explain the rim damage in order to get a rough idea of the pricing. I was even willing to drive from Kitchener to show you. I was going to get 3 sets of rims powder coated and 2 of them needed new tires in top of the rim that needed to be repaird. In the end of the day I truly feal terrible how this has ended. Maybe you where having a rough day. In that case I completely understand. We've all been there. If we can respectfully work something out here then maybe we can still come to an agreement. Super Impressed with their CNC refinishing. I hit a curb and damaged the rim on my new VW GLI. It broke my heart, and I sulked around the house for about a day, and every time I walked to my car. A friend recommended Union Rim Repair, and am I ever glad that he did. Just look at the photos below, you can't even tell where the damage was! The rim is brand new, it's like magic! This shows that John and his team really care about their work. Dropped off the wheel, and they originally mentioned a 1 week turn around at the counter, but I got my rim back in just 2 days! Tip for anyone going, pay cash or debit. Dont' let Visa or MC get their transaction fees, and take their % from Union's work, they deserve every penny!

Excellent rim repair work. Do not have Union reinstall wheels to vehicle. They have no clue or seem to care as to wheel bolt torque specs for alloy wheels. My wheels were gunned on and I managed to break the socket when trying to loosen to retorque the wheel bolts. Tire pressures were set to 41 and 39 psi vs the posted 32psi. Terrible. Fix this problem.

Worst rim shop ever. I placed an order a few weeks ago to get my rim replaced. I called a few days later they stated that it was ready for pick up. When I went in to pick it up the tire was still not on the rim. The gentlemen at the front asked me "what my problem was". That is not proper customer service. He could have simply asked if everything is okay and why I am so frustrated. Then once the tire was on the rim I was sent to the side door to pick it up. The guy brought it out and walked back inside and made me carry the tire into my car. I am a woman who is 5'2 115 lbs.. it wasn't the easiest to put back into my car. NEVER AGIAN will I be dealing with these people. If I could I would give them a 0 star.

I went to Union Rim Repair to get my wheels refinished since they had some scratches and curb rashes on them from the previous owner. I picked them up and was amazed by the quality and powder coating finish on them, I did not even recognize they were my old wheels. The turn around time was exactly as they said (3 weeks), they did an amazing job and I highly recommend these guys if anyone is looking to get their rims refinished or repaired.

These guys don’t honour the warranty they promise. I had a rim repaired 5 months ago and it started leaking again. Brought it back and got an earful of excuses. Would never go back here. I’m not sure how your company operates. The rim was not repaired properly to begin with. I was told there was a warranty on the work and when I brought this up in conversation your reply was “this is a different crack in the rim”. I left frustrated as the gentleman I was dealing with didn’t seem to want to repair under warranty, he kept insisting it was a new crack, which may I add, was less than a centimetre away from the repair. I also did not mention that I’m a machinist. Look at the title of my company. We’re excavators, but we do work with equipment on a daily basis.

After multiple Mercedes-Benz dealers saying that alloy wheels are impossible fix once bent I almost bough a new OEM rim from the dealer for $1200! Union Rim Repair fixed my rim, and my CL550 rides buttery smooth like it used to. My friend recommended them and now I will be recommending them to others as I am recommending them to you. TIP: Make sure when you get a quote from them that you ask for full price including all fees, taxes, etc. (I had some shady charge of ~$12)

Union Rim have equipped themselves with some of the finest equipment enabling them to repair, refinish and paint the most complex wheels. I recently had three, twenty inch BMW alloys clad with 315/35-20 runflats refinished and they look awesome! They also sell rims and tires at extremely competitive prices. Told me my rim was repaired when it's not! I had a bent wheel that's causing vibration. Took it to union rim. After a two-hour wait, they told me it's been repaired. As soon as I got to highway speed, I noticed the vibration was still there. Then I took the car for a re-balancing. Guess what? I was told that the same wheel is still bent. Nice job charging for failed repair!

☆☆☆Update - excellent customer service.☆☆☆ Repaired and powdercoated motorcycle rims that I bent by going over a curb and so far very happy. Then a few years later learned they also sell tires and got the prices from Union Rim for winter and summer tires for BMW X5 that no-one could match. Ended up refinishing my winter rims that look great now in hypersilver. Prices are reasonable so far. I recommend for rim repair and/or tire purchase. Update - just had my summer rims refinished in non-hyper silver and they look great so far!

These guys went above and beyond with me. They repaired and powder coated a set of 18" A-SPEC ACURA rims for me in gloss black. The rims shine and reflect incredibly. They sold me 20pcs locking spline lug nuts to match the rims for $50. They stripped my factory ACURA rims and mounted my winter tires on them. They re balanced everything an everything was ready ahead of schedule and they kept everything on premises until I could make multiple trips over 2 weeks to pick them up. The work was excellent, the price was excellent and the service and attention I was extended was above average and very much appreciated . When my VW dealer advised me that all 4 of my 19" wheels on the new to me 2016 golf R were bent I was shocked. I then took the wheels to a local tire shop and they told me that 2 were junk and the other two likely not far behind. Well that was total BS. I took the wheels to Union and they fixed them all with no issues, one even had a damaged outer lip and they took care of that as well. Wheels are good as new now, and for a fraction of the cost of replacement. Highly recommended.
