My family has taken cars here for a while now, Bill's staff is awesome, they can explain things when I have questions and will bring me out back to show me what it is they're talking about! We get our tires from Bill too - all season and snow - he's great about giving deals and explaining what's going on! I had some issues relates to the last place I took it (not Bill's) and Bill and his staff were AWESOME about explaining what happened and getting it fixed quickly!!

Work was great. Price on the tires was fair. No complaints about any of that. Only complaint is that I had to watch for two hours as he repeatedly tried to sell people these Android based TV boxes for too much money. They are straight off Amazon for $30 (x96 mini Android). He also failed to explain to people that the streaming services built into it are illegal and could cease to exist at any moment or get you a nasty letter from your internet provider. This seems really common in Ogdensburg. I had a sandwich shop try to sell me a similar product that came preloaded with a bunch of Nintendo games.

Update: July 2020 Went to put the summer tires on that Bill Tire Shop took off, and they were NOT marked - I don't know which ones are front, back, left, right. That is a fundamental mistake that could possibly cost me the whole value of the tires. Downgraded to 3 stars. Went to Bill's to put new tires on my trailer. He had the right tires and started the work on time. Then my truck died in Bill's parking lot - the starter motor died. They replaced the starter motor, which proved to be a harder job than it sounds. The existing bolts were rusted in place. I've worked on cars before - I know the drill. I watched the mechanic do the job. He took his time, without wasting time, and did the job right. I highly recommend Bill's, and I will go back.

This review is long overdue! Been going to Bill’s for years for snow tires and rims for all of our vehicles and the kids’ too! No matter how much we price compare and factor in the Canada-US exchange rate, Bill comes through with great quality and prices every time! And it’s closer than Ottawa. Also just a great guy with great staff. What’s more is you can have your US packages delivered here for less than at other similar package places in Ogdensburg. Call Bill to give you a quote. Amazing service. Very friendly and knowledgeable people working there. It's been a long time since I've experienced real customer service from people actually invested in the company they work for. They gave me a great quote on tires over the phone. When they were working on my truck they found a loose tire rod end, something my dealer had missed (Or chosen not to replace). I miss having companies like this around where I live. Glad to see some of them still exist. It's definitely worth the trip.

Every time I come here, Bill and his staff are so courteous and patient. Most importantly, they know how to listen. It's not always easy to describe what's wrong with your vehicle, but BILL'S gets it. I would be remiss if I didnt mention Mr. Mike St.Dennis, a consummate professional through and through. Great honest service! I needed a quick turnaround on a flat and Bill's was the only place that could provide my tire size. He provided the right tire at the right price and his worker came out and explained to me the alignment process done for my vehicle and the best advice moving forward. Been going to Bills with both family cars for 6+ years. Have had everything done from tires and breaks to transmission work. Even with a 30% loss on the dollar, US prices are on par with 'sale' prices in Canada. Labour costs are much lower, so the more intensive the job is... the more you save. I often go down with two cars, drop one off, make a week-end out of it with the family at the outlets (and save more money,) or do the tourist thing in Syracuse, Watertown, Adirondacks ... etc and pick-up the other car on the way back with the 48 hour exemption on work done as well as shopping :) As for Bills Tire management, I have never been 'burned' and he always offers options on work, to include low cost DIY alternatives. I have run into many people from Ottawa who are return/repeat clients. I have referred friends to Bill and none of them have had issues. The only problem I have is that it never occurred to me to get work done on my car when I first started going to the states in the 80's. P.S. They also accept parcel deliveries for clients for less than the UPS store; but, they have more restrictive hours for pick-up.

long term pain for short term gain .. Went there for 4 new low price tires , It seems they also replaced my 4 nice working oem aluminum wheels with 4 old beat up ones. This is evident in that the wheels are all mared and corroded with white trails , likewise the pressure sensor batteries are going dead. Normally these batteries last ten years but my 5 year old car has this problem now as if the wheels had been swapped from another much older car. Bill common you can fool some of the people some of the time ...... every wonder why some sites filter out any review except the ones that highly propagate a business, ? Why would I care about writing a bad review ?

Had a vibration in my car after having a new set of tires installed (not at Bill's). I had bought the tires and had them installed in Buffalo, and I'm from Ottawa Ontario, so the tire warranty required me to drive to NY to have the tires replaced. I contacted Bill himself and arranged that the two replacement tires could be shipped to his shop and I would drive down and have them changed out. I told him all the details up front, that they were 18" tires for a Corvette (he asked specifically about the size), and he agreed to mount and balance the new tires for about $25 each. When I got there, Bill took one look at my shiny car and said "I'm not touching those tires for less than $50 a piece." I reminded him of the price he'd quoted me on the phone, and he basically said "Take it or leave it." He then proceeded to leave after giving the instructions to his tire guy. I was stuck so I had no choice but to pay. For what it's worth, the young guy who worked on the car was very nice and did a great job, and didn't seem a bit surprised when I told him what had just happened with the price. Bill is a crooked businessman that I would never refer anyone to. This took place at least 6-7 years ago, I just happened to be browsing Google maps for an auto parts store in Ogdensburg, lo-and-behold Bills Tire Center is on Google maps in 2016. Bill, you screwed me on a deal to make an extra $50. Now you have a scathing 1 star review, one of 12 reviews as of today. Was it worth it? I hope lots of people read this and decide to do business elsewhere.
