My review is long overdue, however I still wanted to post it. I travelled to Toronto late November with my husband, so he could have a heart procedure done at TGH. Unfortunately, I ended up with a flat tire just as we were passing Whitby during the busy morning commute. First, I was very thankful to the gentleman that stopped to change my tire, and would only accept a thank you for doing so! We were back on the road in no time and arrived just in time for the appointment. Once my husband went in for his procedure I needed to find a garage to get my tire fixed, since I had already travelled almost 60 kms on my donut, so there was no way I could’ve travelled the 3.5 hour drive home later that night. I spent almost an hour on the phone trying to find a garage that could squeeze me in and I actually drove to two larger well known garages, but no one could help me. I figured I would try one more garage and if they couldn’t help me, then I would need to get a hotel room for the night and try to find a garage on my way back home the following morning. I called the TireSource and explained my situation, Max told me to come over asap and that they would get my tire fixed for me. John was able to patch the hole in my tire and I was back to the hospital in 75 minutes! Thankfully the heart procedure went well and with the help from Max and John, we were able to travel home later that night. Thank you Max and John….I really appreciate you both helping me out in a timely manner and with kindness!!!

Absolutely horrible. Sold me a tire that was manufactured over 14 years ago. When I went to Install it pretty much broke apart due to being too old.....but yet sold it to me as a new tire. Took no accountability, wouldn't give me my money back. Don't ever go here!

Avoid the old guy (owner) at all cost! This crook is gonna give 4 flat tires to anyone who forgot to pay for parking (which is public parking), I guess that’s how they try to make money. And if you come to him with complain he’s gonna yell at you and deny everything. Why not just call the parking authority instead of vandalizing other’s properties? Complete crooks, stay away from this place if you have at least some respect to yourself and/or your car

Overpriced and incompetent. I paid $183 to have my winter tires (on rims) changed. Probably a 20 minute job. I had my other car done at jiffy lube in Etobicoke for $55. AND they put tires on backwards so I had to get them done again at the dealership.

So grateful for the incredible and accommodating service at TireSource. I called 15 other mechanics asking them to put my winter tires on and every single one said that their next available spot is in December/January (it's mid November right now). Then I called TireSource and they said to come in straight away and that they'd be happy to help. I arrived, took 10 minutes max, and off I went. So reasonably priced, especially considering how little time it took. Very grateful and will definitely be returning.

Over priced and dishonest. Take your car somewhere else. They will rob you here. And as you can see by their response they don’t respect their customers. All they care about is money. As soon as we got there the old man popped his head out of the door with an evil grin and money is all that came out of his mouth. Not even hello...actually he didn’t even acknowledge us. Even made a “joke” saying “pay me before the job is done”. Didn’t even talk to us about his rates. He just told his casual weekend worker that we have to get charged the minimum rate even though our tire wasn’t damaged (the nail didn’t pierce it)...we also had my spare that needed to be patched up. In the end we paid $100 to take off a tire and fix my spare. Find another place. They are overpriced and full of themselves. They don’t care about their customers. Oh, and in their reply they say that most service centers don’t fix tires. A place called TIRE SOURCE is claiming that they’re doing the city a favour by fixing tires. Sure. Again, they are full of themselves and don’t deserve anyone’s business.

My tires had served me well but it was time for a new set. Max took my name and information to look what available options would be. He called the following day to present options and the installation and balancing was done the following day with simple drop-off/pickup. No hassle, fuse or delay, the job was done timely and the results are all i could have hoped for. Prime customer service without a doubt.

Max(owner) is 100% untrustworthy, he is a cheat & a criminal. If negative stars were an option to select, this place would be -10 stars. I live out of town, and my car broke down in front of this garage. I had Max take a look at the situation the car was in, but the repairs where too much money as the car was quite old, so I cut my losses. I paid Max for parking, his labour, and restocking fees for some parts he pre-ordered. I had to leave the city to meet the responsibilities of my life and job outside of Toronto. So I arranged for an auto wrecker pick up the car, the auto wrecker paid Max for the car and took it. I called and messaged Max for weeks and he always said he will send me the money he was given from the pick up of the car. After 7 weeks, he now says that I owe him money. Max has stolen from me, and refuses to pay me the money he was given for my car. this business should be shut down, and Max belongs behind bars somewhere. Max = Scumbag

Thank you Zayland for helping me fix the engine splash guard underneath my Camry. This is a down to earth small business, and I always appreciate shops that work on my car right in front of me and discuss the repair with me in-progress. A dealer or official shop would not have been willing to do the repair Zayland helped me with. We simply resecured the intact splash guard to the frame using zip ties in all the factory screw positions.

I sustained a flat tire on Thursday evening. I phoned a large auto mechanical company who told me they could not repair it until the end of next week and that I would have to leave the car with them for the day. I called up Tire Source around 2 pm on Friday. He asked me if I could get there soon and he would look after me. I was there within an hour, and yes, they did exactly that. Unfortunately, my tire was not able to be repaired because the sidewall was damaged. My tires are 14” and he told me he did not have a new tire to replace it. He went back and looked and found a used 14” tire that did the job. It was installed on my old rims, and I was sent on my way within an hour. The service and staff were exceptional, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Tire Source for they give the old-fashioned customer service you don’t get these days.

This place looks a little rough from the outside, but don't let that hold you back from doing business here. The customer service and courtesy that were extended to me were very impressive. Both Max and his staff went out of their way to help me when I was in a pinch with a leaking tire. It's great to see that good old fashioned customer service is still in style somewhere. Friendly, courteous, accommodating and fairly priced - what else can I say!

Website says they open at 8. Show up at 8:25, no-one there. Guy comes by a minute later (likely a mechanic?) and tells me they will be open at 8:30. Wait until 8:45 (now bound to be late for work), still no one there. What a joke.

They don’t even deserved one start. My friend came at 12pm to fix a small tire from his scooter. The business owner, told him that he need to pay $65 CASH before he actually got his wheels fixed. He wait there for 3 hour and the business owner didn’t fixed at all. Then, they give him the wheel back with out being fixed. So, He asked them for the recipe and the owner didn’t give him anything neither his money back or a recipe. The worst experience in Toronto so far. Basically, he took advantage of my fiend. The same owner kicked my friend out and calling him crazy. Just because he wants his money back or the recipe. Honestly, don’t even worry to go there. There are some many places in downtown that you could try before this one. Hope that this experience help other people so you know what you will have to deal with.

I had a flat on a Friday afternoon. I called three other places and they all said they couldn't do anything until Tuesday. But I needed to get back to the US so I tried here. I told them my situation and they were able to get a tire and install it at a fair price in only a couple hours. He really saved me and my vacation and great service like that is what you really want in a business.

I've been bringing my car to the guys at The Tire Source for over 5 years now and I'm never disappointed with their service. They are friendly, knowledgeable and always go out of their way to help me and solve whatever issue I bring to them. I was in the area and wanted to find a place to get my tire fixed. It had a small screw in it. I went to this place and accepted the $45 price for a plug that I could have done if I were home. First, they could not find the correct size lug wrench or socket (vehicle is Dodge Grand Caravan). Second, the tool to push the plug into the tire was rusted so it broke during the process. Third, I checked the air pressure with my gauge and it was 47, I thought my gauge was faulty but was reading correct on other tires, so I lowered it to 36 as it should have been.

Terrible service. 1 month later warning lights came on for everything the mechanic said had been completed. A second opinion revealed he had just reset the car firmware, and didn't actually do any of the work. Hugely dishonest and not it.

Max and his team were really honest . They ordered the Pirelli P Zero run flats tires i needed. He kept in contact with me advising of the delay of receiving the tires but in this pandemic delays are expected. Soon as he got them he called me and i just got them installed and I was able to hang out with his team while they did the work. The shop from outside deft can throw you off about is it ok to do work there but they have all the equipment and knowledgable folks as installing run flats are more work and they got it done. Thanks again guys ????!

If you have any respect for your car, I wouldn't bring it to this place. Came in with a very simple 10min request (checking a bolt) that turned into an hour shuffling my car around, the mechanic taking a joyride without my consent, and touching stuff I never requested. The result is that they couldn't do what I asked, mechanic burnt the hell out of my clutch, stalled and abused my car. In the end, I was still hit up with a bill. So I was made to pay money to have someone abuse my car. Person in charge was at least pleasant and polite, but was oblivious to the mechanics quality of service.

I found myself in a very difficult situation. I was preparing to return home to Ottawa only to find one of my tires was completely flat. A CAA attendant sent me to 'The Tire Source'. My tire was repaired expertly and very quickly. They could have easily told me they were too busy to fix a flat. Instead, they treated me like a King and restored my faith in people. Unprofessional place as per the other reviews the proprietor gives people flat tires. We had one of our staff park there for hour this morning and they return to having their valve stem on the tire damaged. They park there all the time and pay however this week the machine didn’t work. Unbelievable that somebody would do this. I would avoid at all costs.

Do not go here. My girlfriend had a flat tire but we weren't able to twist off the cap to put air in it. Stopped by this place asking if they could help us remove the cap with a set of pliers. The guy said he didn't want to do it because they were closing soon and he was wearing a jacket he just bought and didn't want it to get dirty. We should have turned around right then and there but didn't - I honestly didn't think he could be serious. He tries to remove the cap and ultimately pops the valve so now we've gone from a tire that's low on air to completely flat. We have no choice but to leave the car there and come back tomorrow which is when we find out that the person who tried to remove the cap doesn't even work at the shop. He is just the parking attendant who manages their lot. Why would they allow him to work on her vehicle, using the tools from the shop?! They now have to fix the valve but can't remove the wheel locks. They try for some time to remove them but are ultimately unsuccessful. She is charged $75 for this and the guy claims he's giving us a "deal" - even though they did absolutely nothing. In the end, she had to get the car towed to a BMW dealership who is now charging her $400 because Tire Source hacked at the wheel lock for so long they damaged more than just the valve. The old guy who I think is the owner got pretty nervous when I started questioning the $75 charge. He kept asking if I was a lawyer.. I should have lied and said I was. Ignore the positive reviews - these guys are crooks.

Needed to fix a puncture in one of my tires. I didnt have an appointment, and they helped me right away, and I was done in 20 minutes. Nice chatty people... would use them for any tire related work. Impressive set of new tires etc for purchase as well. Thanks TireSource!

Worst experience I have ever had. The owner tried to overcharge me for changing a tire valve for $100 basically stealing from me. The tire valve is $4 . He called police on me for not paying . Told them what happened and long story shot called me a bunch of names that I wouldn't say in front of the police. I could have pressed charges but it's a waste of my time. People like that will never change its who they are . So watch out for jerkep up prices.

This place is a ripoff. Came here only because we had no choice! Had a tire issue and everything else was closed. Was charged $75 to install and balance one tire! Not including the cost of the tire. While visiting my daughter in Toronto, I found out we were about to have a major snowstorm. I had no choice than to purchase winter tires as I was returning to Quebec after Dec 15th, date where by law, you must have your winter tires on. I did some research on the net, spoke to a few different outlets, then I found the Tire Source and gave them a call. The owner, Max, was extremely helpful and took his time to find a solution to my query: 4 good used winter tires for my Audi whose lease period was coming to an end in March. When I showed up, I learned that 2 of my rims were cracked. They found some very good used rims at a decent price. I was really happy to be driving in the big storm with good tires and good rims. Then I returned to Montreal. I found that the car was not behaving the way it used to especially at high speed on the highway. So, as I was back in Toronto over the holidays, I went back to the Tire Source. They did a road test and fixed the problem on a SUNDAY!! It is really rare in this day and age to find a family owned shop with people who care about their customers and will go out of their way to help you and do the right thing: Give you great service at a decent price and with a smile and care. I highly recommend it.

Their value added service has been none other than exceptional. I have just figured out how to post a review on Google so this one is long overdue!! Last July I replaced the stock high performance Bridgestone RE 050 run flat summer tires on my BMW 328i Touring. These tires were completely worn out at about 35,000 km as they well should have been being of such a soft compound. Although they were BMW OEM I had never been happy with them. They were very noisy, harsh and pulled significantly on uneven pavement. Max, at The Tire Source, suggested the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS, same size, also run flats. I drove 700 kms on them the following weekend and what a difference! They handled very well, were very quiet and they will last much longer since they have a much longer tread wear rating. AND the price was hundreds less than either the OEM or another suggested replacement tire from BMW. Thanks Max.
