You have the information of real people who used the services and products of ServiceOntario (Tires) in the area of Toronto (Canada).
To this day the business gets a score of 3.3 over 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is discreet, neither too high nor too low, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we can think that the score is very reliable. If many people have bothered to rate when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tires is included in the category of Government office.
Perpetual frowns, delays, and complete lack of respect and manners...as PER USUAL...I smiled the entire time. Dysfunctional.
So rude! Came to renew my OHIP card and they rejected me in a very rude way for having a PR.
Absolutely terrible experience. Out of 6 counters only 2 are open at a time. The line is incredibly long and one should book 2 hours for waiting. The staff is kind but it doesn’t compensate for the fact it takes ages to do anything!
People were helpful. Structures and policies that require a lot of paperwork (no digital copies) just feels very antiquated. Hours are not customer friendly.
Even after multiple requests, Jason from this ServiceOntario location was very rude and even after reaching at 4.40 PM he did not allow me to get in while the closing time for this centre is 5.00 PM. I’d suggest the location to change its timing to 4.30 officially. Else, more customers will get similar experience.
Slow service long wait times this place has to be closed . I don’t want my tax dollars to be spent like this irresponsibly to open places like this.
They now have a pager system set up here so, while you still have to wait an hour and a half for service, you can now browse Canadian Tire instead of lining up outside. There should be twice as many people working here.
I would rank it no-star if I had a choice. Very lazy employees with absolute no respect for the people’s time. Waiting time is over 2 hours and half per person if you’re lucky! Zero efficiency. The manager of this location should either be fired or replaced at least.
Very helpful staff quick easy visit
They told me it was a 3-4 hour wait today, no point in waiting since it was already 1pm. You can't book appointments here. You have to stay within the store waiting, can't go home. This is just an awful setup. Extend hours, increase staff.
I see smiley faces but very slow service. Location is hidden inside Canadian Tire store.
Don't waste your time going to this location, they are Very Rude... have bad attitudes... and they think they run the country, sorry to tell them it's Service Ontario. I made a complaint against them but there Unionized... so end of discussion. I don't shop at that Canadian Tire anymore because of them....
A guaranteed 2 hour wait in line. Always 2-3 staff working when there are 6 counters.
I just visited the Stockyards Service Ontario location and had an outstanding experience. Despite the long line-up due to the first day after a long weekend, they had lots of staff on hand to help the line move faster and the service by Heather was excellent. I’m glad that I didn’t let the poor google reviews lead me to go elsewhere! In observing the various representatives working, I saw nothing but professionalism and I would not hesitate to use this location again. Thank you!
As far as Service Ontario goes, this location isn't bad at all! The line was pretty long when I got there just after noon, but they had 6 reps on duty and I got through with everything in under 30 minutes. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable as far as what I needed.
Unprofessional and arrogant ….. They do not care about the citizens at all.
UPDATE: called Service Ontario and apparently they only do certificates. Their website provides the application for marriage licenses but you cannot buy them at any Service Ontario, apparently. Take it to whatever city hall you got. …
Service must be luck of the draw. I went around 10am on a weekday and not a soul in line. The person I had was very friendly as well. Renewed health card and driver’s licence, in and out in 10 minutes. My picture came out nice, which is a bonus!!
This location is in a Canadian Tire store. It has long lineups and wait times. It has no seating (unless you borrow a lawn chair from the seasonal section at the other end of the store) Any other service Ontario location serve you faster.
Super long line up, ridiculous wait times. Go somewhere else
WAKE UP !! ELECTION Extremely Poor. Staff shortage. Over 2hr. Need to Respect Tax payers "Time " Open more Service Ontario spaces. Shortage of Staff creates stress on staff that are working. Use of staffing agencies would help. Use Our Tax Dollars Wisely!!!!
If you are ok with shared pens and a person wearing gloves touching everyone else's ID before touching yours AND then pulling down their mask to speak to you thru the glass... Then I'm sure your ok.... Otherwise bring your own pens and sanitize your ID
Unfriendly environment, very poor, unprofessional service, careless and lack of knowledge of legal documentation. Mrs. Sara is not doing a good job, lack of knowledge of legal documents provided by Mercedes-Benz and rejected my application for the new ownership. I was back and forth for few time but had no success, I decided go for another location, then it was done in 15'.
I've been trying to register my vehicle from out of province. I'm not even mad at the wait times in line. I can understand with Covid that things are different. What I can't understand is the conflicting information from the agent. My out of province registry isn't valid so go get a bill of sale. Come back and that isn't sufficient. I've been sent away multiple times and each time I'm fairly certain the agent doesn't even know what she needs to register a vehicle. The vehicle is insured in Ontario and has passed an out of province inspection. With multiple forms of documents showing proof of ownership.
I went here today saturday to renew my health card. The line up was so long, I arrived 9am and i waited for almost 2 hours to be served. There are 5 open counters but the service was extremely slow. People are lined up beside the road. I don’t really understand how they assist their client. When you come here you will be waited for a decade.
4 people in line and the wait time is over an hour long per person. Employees either don't know what to do or they are very lazy
There's nowhere to actually wait when wait times are long.
***Please note*** If you get there before 9 am. you will be asked to wait outside. There is no shade. I asked a staff member if they could please let us wait inside as we are getting burnt in the hot sun. Was told that they couldn't because of something to do with sub-rent(?). Once the line was allowed to move inside it did move quickly. If you are renewing your OHIP card, they want all original documents despite COVID since some documents are only available online. You will be asked to go to Staples to print up any online documents. FYI...
I was told the wait could be 1.5 hours before I could get into the line, but it turned out to be only 25 minutes. The counters are all indoor and there are Canadian Tire aisles to browse while waiting so it's actually not bad at all. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Got my first OHIP application completed within an hour since I set foot inside Canadian Tire.
Extremely slow even for a service ontario. Untrained people working who can only do one specific thing! Apparently if you know them you can get ahead of the line. No explanation offered. Man just walks in and ties up two agents. Seemed to be a friend of theirs. They don’t do outdoor cards and even after I said that I was there for that, they didn’t tell me they don’t do it until I waited for one hour and actually got to the counter. Avoid this place if you have another option. I’ve seen better public service from third world countries.
A perfectly Service Ontario Service Ontario. I.e. they're all the same. The main difference here is it is IN A CANADIAN TIRE. That's right. They refuse to mention this on any Ontario provincial website, because it must be against some …
I had 5 client before me and waited for my turn about 1:30 hours! There were three assistants working there behind my there are 8-9 people waiting in hot sun out side of store. I haven’t have any personal issue but I don’t like their way to serve clients. Super slow.... seems they try to avoid more people to be serve during covid-19 I assume. Any way 1 star for poor management. Rest good parking lot huge Canadian tire store to hang out if you have kids or family.. Best Buy, Home Depot, Rona, Mc Donald, shoppers, Tim Horton and Staple all beside a huge mall so I can say nice location.
Unfortunately I cannot give them a ZERO. I called them because my plate sticker came off and didn't realize that until I received a parking ticket. I was told to bring proof of insurance and the ownership which my wife did bring. Once there she was told that she needed to provide her drivers license that she did not have with her as she wasn't driving at the time. I understand policy is policy but when you hear the manager (Adam) being rude to your wife and raising his voice while I'm on the phone with her it doesn't sit well with you. I will drive 50Kms away if I have to but will never go back to this place again.
Least helpful ServiceOntario I've been to. The same employee gave us the runaround both visits and gave off the impression that she was not willing to be helpful or cooperative and was eager to get off work.
Ontario Service here is not provided what they called ‘Full Services’ for OHIP. It seems that they never mention on the website so when you come you will know... Was recommended to another places after an-hour waiting in the long line-up. Poor professional advice on documents needed compared to other locations.
The best service Ontario location. Very well organized.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. Got my wife's n my kids OHIP done. Easy as eating my favourite desert. Try to go a bit earlier to avoid line ups.
waiting a lot, signaling waiting, I went home because there were those who could go sooner
We were treated very fairly today. Had a massive lineup and they were very dedicated to stay past their closing hour to accommodate each and everyone of us, whom have been waiting in line for so long. Will most definitely be returning here!
EXCELLENT service and follow up , they do their best for the customers and its nice you can line up inside the Canadian tire where its dry and warm just bring a coffee or tea.. Maybe some cookies for the girls?
Long waiting time, super slow service, never come back again!!!
The employee was nice. The lineup to get in was about and hour long.
I unfortunately have to go back in less than 3mos because I lost my ID already. Anyways I will always come back here and direct anyone to this location. It's to the left as soon as you walk into Canadian Tire in plain view. It's small but it actually has more than one or two "tellers", even one for the disabled and a few chairs too. I was in and out in 30mins and couldn't believe how fast it was. I rewarded myself with McDonald's coffee just down to St.Clair and it was glorious. : P
Zero urgency from the staff. Huge line all the time and there is no hussle. It's the environment the staff is acclimated to... They also have little or no motivation to do more than the bare minimum. Another example of our tax dollars being mismanaged.
Horrible waiting time and they always closed the queue ahead of closing time.
Always have a good experience here. I always come a few hours after opening. Waits are typical of a Service Ontario. I find the staff here moves efficiently to try to get the people through quickly.
On a weekday morning, it took just 10 minutes despite being third in line for DL renewal w/ a new photo. Of her own, she did 3 retakes. I saw this done with another customer (a senior) without asking......nice! ????????????All counters were open, staff is polite, friendly and efficient. FYI- it’s located inside Canadian Tire, it’s closest to the Auto Service entrance on the extreme left where the barrier-free WRs are located.
Terrible waiting time. Better to go to different service ontario
Great experience with Service Ontario and the staff. I went on a Saturday (today) as soon as it opened and had to wait for 45-50 mins for my turn. This is located within Canadian Tire so you can browse and spend time in the store till you …
Service Ontario is literally the worst and this place is no exception. It’s a ‘private’ service Ontario, meaning they have no access to any government records, and simply send you to a different one at any opportunity. No apologies. Nothing. Stay away if you can.
Do not use this location. A 40 minute wait outside in the sun, followed by a 1 hour and 15 minute wait inside. Five desks available, only 1 clerk processing customers, 1 more doing god knows what at their windows. Trainee staff who need help doing the transactions.
Been in line in the hot sun for 3 hours now and still do not have sight of the mythical service Ontario workers so looking forward to another hour apparently. Id highly advise anyone to avoid this location.
A very long lineup, but I observed and received professional and courteous treatment by all staff members to all of the customers during the 40 minutes I was within eye sight of the counter
Do not use this location. A 40 minute wait outside in the sun, followed by a 1 hour and 15 minute wait inside. Five desks available, only two clerks processing customers, two more doing god knows what at their windows. Trainee staff who need help doing the transactions. You can only blame Covid for so much and for so long. An incompetent organization - note that this location is privately owned and operated under licence from the Government of Ontario, according to a posted sign. I wish I'd noted down the name of the company. No way to run a business, yet we are held captive. Never again.
Nice, the girl with tattoos knew exactly what she was doing, so professional.
Had to have multiple documents changed and updated along with license sticker purchase - went to SO location in CDN Tire/Stockyards and had an amazing experience!!! Was checked in and given a pager and also given length of wait time to expect - 10 minutes at 9:00 am on a Friday morning. Not only did I get some much needed shopping done but they had me in and out of there in no time. My attendant was knowledgeable and friendly and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. We'll oiled machine Service Ontario - BRAVO!!
I had good experience the stafff is very Understanding ,helpful special with People handicapped
You need to be informing people how long of a wait it will be to get in. Instead of having people stand out in the sun and heat! Poor professionalism from a tax paid government service!
The line was very long and I waited for almost an hour however, when I got to the service rep, it was like 1 2 3. Easy like that. The person was also in training.
Without a doubt the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in a bureaucratic storefront. Instead of providing understanding service, the agent was more interested in telling me why they couldn’t complete a simple application for the Health Card. Once refusing my documents I made an offhand remark (about the process not the agent) and the agent was particularly swift to “ban” me from the location. A joke of both an employee and of a service. I will be sure to follow this “ban” and never return to this location nor this Canadian Tire.
Losing the will to live as I have now waited 2 hours in line, and at least 1 one more to go. Spoke to others and it looks like this location is always this bad.
Waited for more than 2 hours today just for stucker renewal. Never ever gonna visit again here.
I went here to register ownership on a botched BMW deal from years ago and the woman reviewed my paperwork and situation but couldn't help so she sought out a manager. The manager was very clear when explaining what is required and who should be supplying what. Both women were very professional and helpful. I was also given a pass to come back and not wait in line for the follow up visit. I have been back twice since my initial visit and I was always treated well. The only reason I kept having to go back is because I got the run around from BMW Financial Services (review to follow). Regarding the lineup, of the 3 times I attended 2 were super busy with a long line ups, and my last visit there was no one ahead of me. It's Covid and the agents were appropriately spaced apart which means that some kiosks were unmanned. It sucks for us and for them so I don't think it's fair to give a poor review based on a situation that is out of our hands.
Big line up went really fast. Went to renew my OHIP but the agent also noticed my license needed renewal soon, too, so we got that done. Saved me another trip, which is much appreciated. Top notch and efficient service.
Had my elderly father waiting out in the hot weather for about 2 hrs..got to a counter that wasn't doing vehicle registration...had to line back up again.... then was turned away because they had issues with the paper work. What makes it worst is that I had I to take work off just to go to another service ontario that had no issues (same exact paper work) and their service was super speedy with no questions asked. This is a government service, especially during covid? Ridiculous....
I was visiting this location to get my health card today, due to the virus I have visit 2 location has already been closed. A lady located in the #6 windows served me, she has been really helpful and efficient, and I feel really appreciated that those people who still working during these days, I hope everyone stay healthy and well, and hope we all could have a normal summer.
Do you like to play the game Clue? If so then this is the place for you. I’ve gone into Service Ontario locations five times in the past 24 hours. Every time I go there’s one more piece of information missing, or something amiss from the last time I was there - it always seems to be the most important thing I need to collect next yet the next time in, low and behold there’s something new. What a pain in the a$$. Bureaucracy for bureaucracy’s sake!
This is the 4th time coming here. Every time it’s a 2hr wait time just to get in another 30 min line. Only 3 service desks out of 6 are open. It’s the same problem at every other location in the area. We re in 2021 there are better ways to do this.
The staff at Service Ontario on St.Clair (in the Canadian Tire) are professional, kind and efficient. Today I was fortunate enough to have Sara assist me. She went the extra mile to help me and I greatly appreciate it. Thanks again Sara!
Absolutely terrible waiting line. WAITED 2 HOURS.
Went to renew my health card after work because if a splinter in my (eye) cornea.. They insisted on be brining back a mailed bank statement i could not use electronic copies my bank issues nor call them to confirm my address. …
Had an elderly man waiting in the sun he’s being carried out in a stretcher!!! Shame on service Ontario !!! Elections are coming up lol ya ok 3 workers two long lines stop your wickedness!!
The line was a bit long but it went pretty quickly. The customer service is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable.
I really think that this service needs lots of improvement. Having many offices with partial services makes it confusing to where to go. Having going three times for different offices and tell me after 2 hours waiting that I have to go a different one. Frankly annoying. Feels more like disservice Ontario
No cover from piping hot sun and rain. It's not a good time. Also limited staff available. I got there 9am and left at 1130am.
Great service very respectful and knowledgeable. The wait wasn't too long about 40 minutes. And she was very patient because my mom does not speak English so she waited while I translated. Thank you so much for your patience. Just the wait was a bit long but other than that fantastic.
Super slow. There are 6 desks and only 2 clerks. This could be okay if they had staff.
I went to get my health card photo done cause of incoming expiry date and to change my address. Photo was correct (that's almost impossible to mess up on) BUT address was written wrong on my paper work. I didn't know that it was messed up …
Went here on a Saturday to register for OHIP. There's an initial counter where you state the purpose of your visit and they give you a vibrating pager which informs you when it's your turn. You can walk around Canadian tire until you get called which took around 20 minutes for me. It was all very smooth and efficient. I was received at the counter by Marcus who was incredibly helpful and patient. He explained the form and everything else requested. One proof was missing so he explained how I could get it online to save myself another trip and gave me some time to obtain the proof while he was with another client. It was honestly one of the best experiences I've had at any government office in Canada thus far. Thank you Marcus!
Close the line one hour before closing time and do not allow anybody to wait after they close line
