I switched over to this shop a little over a year ago to work out some issues with my vehicle and regular maintenance going forward. I appreciated the option to get financing to pay for the repairs. The staff are really good at communicating with me if extra work needs to be done and its obvious that they really care about the safety and the quality of the repairs done. Definitely not the cheapest spot, but I trust their work when it comes to driving around my kids.

Worse place to go where do I start, the 2 guys who are working as " Tire Technicians" should be fired or laid off. Kal-Tire is 100% better they even jack up your car or truck with 4 jacks at once because they don't have a "lift" which is illegal to do and super unsafe. couple of times they drop the customers car right down on the floor with no tires on. patching tires is the worse job 2 of the workers might grind too much on the tire than say "its junk he needs a new one" DON'T shop here quality of the work is bad for tires. they also mix up your tires every year and there always a few people with the same tire same everything which gets mixed up and they just put any pair on the car. take your tires home.

Brought in my vehicle to have the wheels balanced before leaving on a trip. Appointment was first in the morning, they took all day then tried to upsell me to getting more work done. Front end parts, drive train parts, even timing belt (had just replaced couple months earlier) then used scare tactics quoting safety bla, bla, bla. Close to $4,000 worth. I almost had to argue to have my vehicle put back together. I brought my vehicle to the dealer next day and had everything checked out and it was fine. Stay clear of this place.

Donerite is legit as their name sounds. Anything that I would like for a shop to get done Donerite thunder bay is the best. very honest in safety checks , reasonable service rates and great prices for tires above all that Knowlegeble and friendly staff like Andrew , brady and all the guys who work there. as long as i stay in thunder bay . all my vehicles are going to donerite for any repair needs.

Offer competitive pricing on tires and service and call with any changes or adjustments before going ahead to ensure no 'surprises'. Really feel like they care about me and my family's safety when it comes to repairing our vehicles. Recommended for anyone who wants complete competent service.

My vehicle felt like it had a very slight shake to it. Took it to the car wash to get any snow out of wheel wells but it still didn't feel quite right. It's still under warranty but I couldn't get an appt with the dealership before I have to take it on a trip out of town by myself. I thought I'd go to Done Rite to get my lug nuts tightened on my winter tires in case that was the issue. I told the guy that was tightening them about it and he says do you want me to go with you for a little test drive? I said sure. He agreed it was off just a little bit and said he'd see if somebody had time to look at it in the shop. So they took it right in checked it out. Found out there is nothing urgent but a wheel alignment wouldn't be the worst idea when I get back. They didn't even charge me a penny even though between the test drive and checking it out I took up 30 mins of their busy day. Thank you so much!

I made an appointment to have my tires and oil changed. I dropped it off and went to the mall while waiting for them to call. After and 1.5 hours I decided to return, figuring it should be done. Upon my return, I noticed my car had been done for a while and they never called. I asked to pay and leave. They couldn't find the paperwork for about 10 minutes they found it. When they found it they realized they forgot to do the oil change. In goes the car for another hour. All in all, it took them 2.5 hours to do an oil change and change my tires that were already on rims. And that's with an appointment made. I will not return. They seem disorganized and had me waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. You might as well go somewhere else as there are many other options in Thunder Bay.

Stay away from this shop!!!!!! I had my vehicle served in 2019 summer for a road-trip inspection and the technician told me to replace all the front rotors and braking pads with around CAD800 and also commented they were worn out! Cannot go for a long road trip.... Then I brought the vehicle to my friend's house and took off the wheel and found nothing wrong and it has at least over 50% left on my brake. Even the rotors are rusted which can causes grinding noise, nothing is seriously bad for safety. Then, I had my Halifax road-trip finished on my vehicle with no issues and it's what I experienced in this shop. !!!!! Please stay away from them!!!!! They just try to rip u off but nothing else!!!!!

I was a broken down traveler in Thunder Bay (expensive twin turbo failure). Done-Rite was the third attempt of getting my car fixed. The first shop's quote was ridiculous and sketchy (suspected of being on commission) I moved on. The second shop exploited my dilemma and handed over my car at closing time on a Friday (closed on weekends) and then scatered. 10 km later, I had to get towed again. Not only did they exploit a traveler, they completely botched the job and made it worse. Enter Done-Rite. Done-Rite looked at my vehicle on a Saturday and gave me an honest, straight foreward run down on repairs needed. Done-Rite done it right. Done-Rite repaired the mess, found missed repairs needed and gave me my car early so I could give it a thorough 'test drive'. 3,000 km later, my car is running great (knock on wood). They even picked me up when the car was ready. This review is aimed at stranded travelers. If you are broken down in Thunder Bay; GO TO DONE-RITE.

After I located the source of a leak in my air conditioning system I came here to get it fixed (by the book as it were) as there is no BMW dealership in Thunder bay and Done-Rite claims to specialize in euro vehicles. The moment I arrived the mechanic came out front and scolded me for attempting to repair my AC system myself. He refused to do any service at all. His reason was "My $10,000 machine will break if I hook it up to your car." he then quoted me a $1,200 nitrogen flush before he would even look at doing the work I went in for. I had sent them the part number of the new line as well as circled where the leak was. Also had an air bag light on; due to a faulty ground, not an actual air bag warning. This mechanic pushed one button to clear the airbag codes and drove my car around, then gave it back saying nothing was wrong, cost me $75. Waste of everybody's time. By the way, I replaced the punctured AC line ($175) and using a $200 vacuum pump and $100 manifold gauges; Imagine my surprise when nothing broke!

Traveling through thunder bay in a an emergency needed tires. Out of 4 places these guys are the only ones that had my size, and were able to hook me up right away. Was in and out in under an hour.

Check Price quote from them first or they will charge you ridiculous amounts saying inspections. I was charged way to much for a job. Never to this place again. 1 hr for inspection for a job specifically I mentioned when questioned the inspection time interchanged & allocated to other. I have both copies of the reciept if anyone wants to see it.

This review should have been written long ago.... Sorry Done-Rite. These guys are stellar! I had an issue to be fixed fast, and they delivered. I had some issues with my vehicle after the repair, and when I brought it back, they delivered and fixed me right up. They stay true to their name and make sure the job is Done-Rite. I highly recommend taking your vehicle into this garage.

Was really happy with how I was treated. They drop you off and pick you up when your car is done. You can set up everything and even pay online. I was very pleased with the service and price. A lady very rudely answered the phone, then started accusing us of being a different auto shop and asked where we were calling from. Had to convince the lady we weren’t another shop before she would even give us a quote. Definitely not going here, when they show such poor customer service.

Beware will charge you for doing nothing truck was not taken in for an inspection but to have running boards installed which they did not do but charged for. The boards were installed by another person in 60 mins without a problem will never be back

Had a continual squealing noise from under the hood that belt dressing didn’t fix. Mileage was at 120k on my Ram 1500. Suspected I might have a bad pulley or two. Checked out Done-Rite and their reviews on Google, both good and bad, as well as their responses to those reviews, and all seemed favourable. Dropped off the vehicle before they opened. Got a call from Matt shortly after with the assessment. Needed idler pulley, and belt tensioner replaced and they recommended the serpentine belt replaced as well. I was quoted $400 (there abouts) which was very reasonable in comparison to the same work on same vehicle (CAN funds) that I had searched on-line previously. I was called back later in the morning, they provided a ride back to their shop and I was home with my truck by lunch. I may have lucked out and caught them before they got busy that day, but very impressed with the speed of repair, the price, the prompt shuttle service and friendliness of staff. No pressure, no upsell. I will return.

I have been dealing there for years and never seen them drop a car. kal-tire has hoist in there shop, so I don't know what you are saying about kal tire uses jacks. Also hoist are not illegal to own or use. It sounds like you are just here to bad mouth a company for no reason at all. Done-rite please keep up the good work.

Awesome shop! Went there to get an alignment and the mechanic spotted that my outer tie rod ends were in really bad shape and even showed me the problem. I normally do all my own work as I do not trust anyone with my car, but this shop is great. They were very professional, did the job very well and the shuttle service is awesome.
