What a great group of technicians, mechanics and front staff! Most honest shop I've had the experience using, and fair prices. So I had my truck towed in with what was thought to be a timing belt issue. Once they got the vehicle in a bay it took them short work to give a proper diagnosis. And it was remedied immediately and at much cheaper cost than a timing belt replacement. Classic Automotive is top notch!

Al (the guy at the front desk) got me set up in a motel with a good rate when my clutch seized in Sault st Marie on my way to Calgary. Service was friendly and timely, it sucks when your car breaks down but I'm glad I went through Napa Auto Classic!

We was crossing Canada, Prince Rupert BC to St. John NB pulling a travel trailer with my wife, our two little boys, a dog and cat. We pulled into the Sault, Walmart and realized the diesel tank was leaking like a garden hose. CAA wouldn't towe us because we were over height. We were in a new town, knew no one and engulfed in panic. A local recommended classic auto, so I unhitched and set out in the general direction that he pointed. The team at classic reassured me that they were going to look after me and that's what they did. We were back on the road that evening and still on budget. They even brought me back to my trailer while they worked on it and picked me up when it was done. Thanks for reading my review. My family and I (including two small children) were on a long haul from Yellowknife NT to Halifax NS pulling a U-Haul trailer. Our engine started smoking in Wawa Ontario. We were on a very tight deadline as I had a job set to commence in NS. Noone else in Wawa or the Soo would look at my vehicle till the following week at the earliest. Allan at Classic Auto agreed to see me the following day! They had my car in, diagnosed and fixed within a few days, even though parts had to be ordered. Sebastian worked hard on my car and we were on our way! Happy to say we've made it to NS and car is still running! Allan and his crew have to be some of the best, and most honest, mechanics I've ever dealt with. Just straight up good people. Highly recommend. Also a plus that the bill ended up being less than I anticipated.

Had our Kia Spectra fixed up before moving it to Toronto, big job. The Classic Auto team took care of us as though we were family. Al called us at 11 pm to make sure we made it home ok! The car is 12 years old and it drove like new. We have since had it in for summer tires and undercoating. We broke down on the tail end of our cross country journey, right on Thanksgiving of course. Even though they close for the holiday, they took the time to arrange our repairs for the next week and to drop off the car. They even offered us a ride to our rental car - above and beyond. The repair was great, they found parts for our '94 Volvo overnight, identified two other problems and had them all fixed in great time. Our car has come out faster than ever - thank you! Professional, kind, honest work, would recommend!

I have recently received excellent service at this mechanic's shop. My car had a serious breakdown in lake superior provincial park right before the long week end. I called several shops in Sault Ste Marie and was turned away by everyone because I did not have an appointment. Fortunately, Al from Classic Automotive agreed to help me out on the same day. Based on our interaction, I would describe him as polite, professional, helpful, and trustworthy. Despite the fact that it took all day to have my car towed by CAA and it arrived to his garage right before they closed, he agreed to make time to inspect it and was able to promptly identify the issue. I needed to return to Toronto for work the following day and had no other choice but to leave my car there over the long week end because the parts had to be ordered, which takes several business days. Al helped me arrange the transportation, which allowed me to return home safely and attend work the next day. Repair was done over the agreed timeline and for a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the service. The car is fixed and runs great! I can definitely recommend this business because an extra mile that these people are willing to go for their customer really makes a difference!

Truly above and beyond service. I was all the way up in the Soo from Toronto when my car decided to pack it in. They saw me right away when no other mechanic in the city would, and the whole team spent the day giving me all the help they could to get me safely back home (I had no contacts, no rides, and there wasn't a single available rental car in the city). Just recently moved to the Soo from the Barrie area and wasn’t sure what autoshop to bring my car. Was extremely pleased with the service at Classic Automotive. The staff were very friendly and explained in detail what work needed to be done and what my options were. Being a women(and not knowing anything about cars) I am always nervous I might get taken advantage of. However, I called around after getting the service report and compared prices. I was looking for a good, honest, establishment to take my vehicle for repairs. After reading all of the reviews, I thought I would try Napa Autopro. My vehicle was making numerous squeeking noises. I took my vehicle to Napa Autopro. Al was kind enough to drop me off so I wouldn't be waiting at the shop. After receiving a phone call from Al, I was informed it was my brakes, rotors and that my rear calipers had seized. After giving me a very reasonable quote, I told them to proceed with the repairs. After the repairs were done, I was picked up and returned to the shop. I would highly recommend their services and in future will be returning for further servicing on my vehicle.

These guys saved the day ! Traveling from Montreal - Alberta and I had an unexpected wheel bearing issue. It would of interrupted everything in terms of organization for us but this shop completely helped us out by fitting us into their schedule and getting me back on the road on time and also in one piece. Had a brake line burst on a cross-country road trip and a Friday. ClassicAuto got in me quick (everywhere else said Tuesday at earliest), had it fixed within the day, and let me know about some possible future fixes I might need (with no possible benefit to themselves). My car broke down north of Sault Ste. Marie on a trip across the country for work. The check engine light came on, I pulled over, was checking what the problem was when I noticed smoke coming from the engine. Not being a person who knows car engines very well, I had no idea what the problem was and where it was coming from. I had my car towed to Classic Automotive, within 20 minutes of looking at my car, the guys had explained to me the exact problem, and what was causing it. Unfortunately for me, they didn’t have the parts in, which was because I drive a Volvo and they don’t see many Volvos in Sault Ste. Marie. They ordered the parts, which came in as quickly as they could, and when the parts arrived at the dealer, Al went and got them himself. The car was fixed and road ready within 45 minutes of receiving the parts, and I was able to start my way across the country again. The car has been running perfectly since then, and I have been putting it through the gruelling task of driving to Vancouver. I am currently in Calgary, and it has been less than 48 hours since the repair was completed, that’s over 2600 km and just under 30 hours of run time.

Extremely impressed! Amazing service! I highly recommend! My vehicle had broken down the night before so I had it towed the next morning to their lot. I then went in and explained my situation, they had my vehicle in the shop that same day. I had explained to them that I was a student and was low on money, they had a look and called me a few hours later with a price. It was a very reasonable price, one which I was happy with. They did have to order some parts that would take a few days to come in.. It took just shy of a week to get my car back but they had fixed the damage that had happened and saved me quite a bit of money in total. The guys were great and very helpful with the questions. My car is running great and I will definitely go back if I have car issues in the future!

If you're looking for a honest place to take your vehicle, Classic Auto will give your peace of mind that the job is done right and guarantee all their work for 2 years or 40000k. They had my Jeep for a few days and kept me informed and ask my permission before any work was done. Had my Jeep back now for a few days and it feels new again. Don't usually post stuff but thought I should because of my experience.

Very Poor. I brought a 73 big block vette to them to change the oil and get the car running before transporting to the US. Car is running rough but enough to get onto trailer. I get it back to Colorado, no oil change was done. Filter still old and the oil was black. I also found that 3 spark plugs were not even tight and the wires loose. I was basically ripped off my this place because they thought I was American I think. Thing is,I am from the Soo and thought the place was a good shop. They were not scared to charge me though. I am spreading the word to stay away from this place.

My uncle had a problem with his RV while travelling. He thought he would have to tow it to Sudbury. The guys said to get it to them. They diagnosed it and the next day when we got the part to them, they made a priority and got the job done. Price for all the diagnosis was more than fair. Very courteous and explained things as they went along. Would definitely recommend.
