This is one of the best automotive workshops in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is a family run well equipped business with a steady clientele who are repeat customers for many years over and that includes me. They provide an honest service and repair of your vehicle. Trust matters when one is not too aware of the workings of a vehicle and at Hainer’s Discount Tire and Auto you are assured of that trust. The technicians are highly trained and conversant of the latest automotive technology and capable of producing tangible results no matter what name brand vehicle one brings in. Hainer’s is not a “flat-rate” workshop; their technicians are hourly paid wage earners, hence take the due time to finish a task without rushing through a job. I highly recommend Hainer’s to women vehicle owners in particular. All techies at Harvie's are excellent, but my favorite is Tim Conway. I have been buying tires from Hainers for years. I can always count on Harvey and his team to give me excellent service and fair prices! Recently I was told by my local Hyundai dealer that my 2007 Sante Fe needed $1000.plus worth of work on the front end. I had taken the car in for a simple oil change and winter tire change! Given that the car is only driven occasionally…when one of my children is home from university for the weekend…I had some doubt about the necessity of the repairs. I took my Sante Fe and the written estimate from the dealer to Harvey. After a thorough inspection of my car, he called me to say there was absolutely nothing wrong with it! When I returned to pick up the car, Harvey refused to take any payment for his time! Now that’s not something that happens very often! :-)

I was in St. Catherines from Philadelphia for rowing a few weeks ago. Over the weekend, I had some car trouble. Had my car towed to Hainer's as recommended by some locals. Monday morning I stopped in to talk to them about what was going on. I explained that my trip had already been extended a day because of my car. They did everything they could to get my car fixed ASAP. Harvey was excellent at communicating the status of work being done. The mechanic, Timmy, heard the situation and worked through his lunch to get my car back to me in the early afternoon. After their work, I made it back to Philadelphia and have had no issues since. If I lived in the area, I would definitely return to Hainer's.

Went to Hainer's by a recommendation from a neighbour. I was sick of the dealership, and after dealing with Hainer's for a few years will never set foot in a dealership again. Harvey has been honest, upfront and told me when I shouldn't bother spending the money. I just had to buy tires for my truck last month and it was way cheaper than last time I replaced them 3 years ago. I just bought winter tires and rims for my car today and saved over $2,000 from what the dealer wanted for the same package.

Harvey and Hainers Discount Tire are the most honest transparent mechanic shop I've delt with in my day so far. Most recent example: Brought my car in to Canadian tire for a winter tire swap, they did it. Then had my car in to Harvey's for brakes and he commented how the tread on my winters are done and need replacing. Sure enough they do when I checked them and were brutal. Canadian tire did not even say a word. This is an example of Harvey's character. I highly recommend Hainers (Harvey)
