1st time customer and soon to be return customer. Had my 04' G35 rust treated with the complete corrosion free package. They spent almost 2 hrs with my vehicle making sure to thoroughly go through all the check points and application process. Very transparent with questions and extremely polite and friendly. Didn't try to upsell any added services or products, and recommended the basic rust proofing moving forward instead of trying to push the expensive package again next year. Sitting in the waiting room you can tell they have a strong rapport with return customers by name, offering shuttle services for cars too while services are being completed. I'm coming up on my 5K oil change and I'll be looking forward to bringing my car here for that moving forward. They seem to be genuine and transparent in their operations and that's not easy to find with auto repair and service. Definitely highly recommended.

I have been taking my vehicles to this shop for a couple years now, and I can tell you from a standpoint of transparency, you will never find a better shop. They have a very unique technological system which allows for all inspected items to be photographed and sent digitally to your email in a comprehensive report, it’s incredible... honestly! I have noticed some people on here say that they are too expensive but in my experience I find them competitive at this level of service. You have to remember that when it comes to looking for savings with vehicle repairs, your often paying for what you get. Even if you do end up paying a little more consider it for the warranty that it’s backed with (I don’t remember exactly what these guys warranty is but it’s awesome). When you consider competitive pricing with the excellent service they provide, you are losing out if you take your vehicle to any other repair facility. Great work guys and you can count on us continuing our faithful patronage!

I have a super old vehicle almost at 300,000 k! I really didn't want to put much money into it but I had a terribly loud exhaust leak. A quick custom fabrication of a gasket was provided as a great affordable solution. Boyd automotive has been properly and professionally taking care of my vehicle in it's twilight years (while the other garage I was previously going to was ripping me off!) $10 off coupons are always offered for your next visit, the waiting room is comfortable clean, and if you're in a crunch you can take a loaner vehicle! Got to love the cookies at the end as well ... Thank you Boyd automotive team!

This was my first time going to Boyd Automotive and I have never experienced this level of customer service while having a vehicle worked on. The price was very fair, but more importantly, the customer service was top notch. They provided me a loaner vehicle to use until mine was ready, they sent updates and pictures to my phone and they even recommended some other work that I should have done at the dealership because it is likely covered under warranty. UPDATE: TOOK it to Canadian Tire turns out that my axel boot cover was broken. Something they missed and I paid 50 bucks. Changed my 2 stars to 1 star, I'm not happy at all and disappointed and I feel cheated. Canadian Tire didn't charge for pointing out my plastic boot needs a replace (they showed me indeed is broken, idk how they missed it) it's like if I paid 50 bucks for nothing ???? I went there because my car had a clunking noise coming from underneath the driver side. I was not aware that there was a 50 dollar charge just for diagnosis which can go up to 100 depending "how long it takes them to figure out the problem" but I said to me well it is what it is. Im a student so idk if mechanics charge for a diagnosis fee. Customer service was good and welcoming and there was free wifi but in the time I waited maybe 30min to 45min they told me I had a problem with my sway bar. In the time I was waiting they said they change the sway bar and the noise was gone, I think this is good, I mean I paid the 50 bucks, but I can't testify if they actually put the part to check if the noise was gone or they lift my car and it was clear to them it was the sway bar. Their labour Im not arguing , I get it is based on their quality and I respect that you can't put price to qualify so I believe their rate is around the same as Canadian tire. but the main reason why I give them 2 starts is because they quote me for 200CAD in parts, I'm not a car guy, I'm a student and I feel like if I didn't call my dad I would have paid tbh. My dad advise me to go to Canadian Tire and indeed both parts came to 76.34 with TAXES included. I definitely won't come back because I'm a student and I live on a budget and I got my service done almost 60% cheaper at Canadian Tire.

I am surprised to see all good reviews. In short took my BMW for repair as it was lacking power. Charged me 2 hours of labor and said it will cost you $2700 to get a new part including two small parts. It was way too much as they were the one who installed the same part in this car a year back. Decided to take my car back and took to another workshop where I ended up paying $475 for two small parts including labor. The main part which they said is broker was not even broken. Car runs perfect. I will not recommend them because of false statements. I am happy I listened to my instinct and took my car to other mechanic. Thanks to that man.

Wasted my time with this place. Went to drop my car in to get my tires changed and a wheel alignment done. They told me it would take 2 hours to do. I waited for them for 3 hours and called them to see what the progress is and told me it would take at least another 2 hours in order for them to get my car up for the allotment. I took my car back to see white sealant all over my tires as if a bunch of birds just crapped on my new tires. Very disappointing service! I should have just changed my tires at Costco

My first experience with Boyd was the best mechanic experience I've ever had. Took my car in on a one day notice, got expert advice and recommendations that were saving me money. I was off the next day with my car, a simple explanation of the work that was done, and a packet of my favourite hot chocolate & marshmallows on my passenger seat! A special note for the level of detail provided in a very thorough and complimentary digital assesment. This is unlike anything I've ever seen and is value added to seasoned mechanics, weekend gear heads and especially those who may not be comfortable with their vehicle or be comfortable with what questions to ask. I have some pretty decent test equip and tools but am running short on time and patience to do my own work these days. To have a visual assessment of my fluids, battery, suspension, tires, brakes, air filter and body, etc. with photos detailing the findings was absolutely next level. Overall just not satisfactory My BMW had its front alignment done however the rear was apparently rusted/possibly seized and not done even though not fully aligned in case of damage to parts requiring replacement. I should have been offered that option rather than being told it was ready for pick up and finding out then. Is that not the point of going to an alignment centre? The advice was just to watch out for unusual tire wear! Again, I arrived at 0800 , the agreed time, to find there would be a delay of up to an hour due to a previously unfinished job I should have been informed the night before about this as I arrived and expected to wait only the hour or so for my work to be done However I was kindly offered the courtesy car and likewise as a courtesy I put gas into the tank as I drove the 25 minutes home and return I have used another alignment site in St Catharines (closed for the holidays) previously for a BMW, and the prices I found at Boyd to be double that rate. The care package with crisps and cookies I found more pathetic and hardly healthy though I am sure the thought was there. Overall then: too expensive, not a satisfactory end result, poor though attentive customer service and would I recommend - No. Neil Malcolm

I just moved to the area and asked my neighbour for a recommendation for a mechanic. I had a great mechanic in my previous city and his boots were going to be hard to fill. I'm so glad my neighbour told me about Boyd Automotive. They fit me in for a Safety, shuttled me home, called me before the estimated timeframe, and kept me apprised throught the process. The staff understood I needed to get the car back for work and worked to make that happen. They were so pleasant and courteous. One of the things I absolutely love about Boyd Automotive is that whether its just a check up, or you come to them with a problem, they provide a detailed assessment of your vehicle directly to you. They provide photos and explanations of what they've done, what they recommend, and what you need to have a safe vehicle on the road. I've been to other places and they just say, "Yep you need this, this, this and this, its going to be $1000 please!" .... but you really have no idea if they are being honest and are in your best interest, or if they see an opportunity to make money. If you've ever had an experience like I just described, try out Boyd Automotive. You really can trust them!

Arrived for my appointment to get summer tires switched to winter tires, and was met with friendly greetings and welcoming staff. Tire change was done quickly, and was alerted to some of my lights needing bulb replacement. Great service, professional and friendly employees, and excellent prices. Will definetly come back again.

Have been a customer a Boyd Automotive for years. Stu and his crew are very honest and reasonable when it comes to solving mechanical issues. They don't up sell you on unnecessary parts and labor and do excellent work which they stand behind %100. I had always suspected as much but had this assumption confirmed a while back when I took my truck somewhere else for a quick oil change. The mechanic, after doing a quick inspection of the undercarriage asked me where I took my truck and said everything was really "tight" and "proper" on it. As this is my work truck which I run hard, in addition to the high quality work, I also appreciate the quick turn around times which get me back on the road quickly. First time coming, enjoy the professional clean look of the shop, housekeeping is key. Came in for a simple alignment, dropped off no expectations. Text service system is really cool, seeing pictures of what they find without even being at the shop even cooler. They don't pressure you to do the excess work, they do give you individualized quotes based on what was found, with no strings attached. I never really have a comfortable experience at mechanic shops, this was a great stop, I am sure I will be by again in the future for sure! Appreciate the attentive and friendly staff.

A few months ago I went to Boyds to get rear parking brake cables installed, an egr valve and a valve cover gasket installed. All items supplied by me. I wrote and brought with me a paper explaining that I want to see the engine top when the valve cover was off, also when off, a straight edge applied along the outside edges checking for a warp. I also wrote that I wanted a good look under the car while the rear parking breaks were being done. The desk clerk took a look at the paper and stapled it to the back of the Work Order. The Auto Tech did not notify me when the valve cover was off. I wanted to check the oil consistancy, valve play if any and heat wear as well as any warpage. I recently ran my engine hot for 150 klicks. The Auto Tech did not notify me when the car was raised on the hoist, I noticed. I told the desk clerk I want to look under the car now. She gave me the old insurance policy sad story but I went for the door anyway. She followed me to the car and after about 10 seconds started to shoo me out of there. I wanted to check on any rust progression and steerage of my excellent 25 year old car. So no co-operation on their end so far. At a prior appointment the desk clerk and myself were talking about rear parking brake cables and how she could not source the center cable and how expensive they are......around $300. I said I will get the cables. I went to "RockAuto" and got all three cables required for approx 50 dollars new with a Brand name. I have to wonder what their parts mark-up is. Thats if they have one....wink, my opinion. I began to talk to the desk clerk about their rust proofing. I recall on the rust website that they wash the underbody, since then changed, they will now charge you just to run your auto through a car wash. My thinking is how do you wash all the nooks and crannies and how about the top of your gas tank? Is the rust proofing just going to sit on dirt? Also with their rust proofing bay inside that they will scream insurance so you can't watch contrary to the rust proofing website which states you can watch. The Tech when finished properly put the used parts in the trunk ECCEPT MY EGR VALVE which I could have cleaned thoroughly of carbon and saved for down the road for when my car is around 30 years old. And not to mention my trunk key disappeared. They could have called. I did not realize the key was off the ring for several weeks....I am mostly housebound. So don't expect to get in the bay for anything, source your own parts to save a fortune and check your keys.

Neighbor brought his safari van in their shop year ago or so...for some misfiring issues i think after 6 hundred bucks they didnt have an answer and he should leave it longer thus would cost more......he then took it to another shop and they found the cracked distributer cap to be the problem in half hours time
