Horrible Place. I have to give one star to even write a review but they deserve no stars. I had my Jeep towed to Boult from Summerland because the fuel pump went and it would not start. Boult replaced part of the fuel pump with a new one and put back in the assembly and strainer from the old fuel pump that was 15 years old. I drove away and broke down the next day after paying $425 for a new fuel pump. Boult denied doing this and would not help me or stand behind there work. The owner was belligerent and said the F word on the phone when I called him on it. He said that the problem was not the fuel pump because he put a new one in and wanted me to have it towed back so he could have another look. Boult also left parts under the hood not connected. I had it towed to a Integra Tire in Summerland where they opened it up and had to replace the fuel pump with a brand new one and told me that a new pump was put in but they put in the old strainer with the new pump and it could not filter the gas sediment because it was old and clogged. After a lengthy negotiation Lordco did warranty the pump but said they do not sell the fuel pump separately but as an assembly with the 3 parts. So how did the old pieces get put back in with the new pump???? Luckily I found an honest mechanic at Integra Tire in Summerland who only charged me for his labour to take out the faulty pump and replace it with a brand new one with all three new parts!!! Be Aware Do not go there!!!!! The owners response below is absolutely not true. Boult never called me to help once!!! Boult told me that they would not pay for the tow and also tried to tell me that the problem was not the fuel pump. If they were honest and done a proper job I would not be writing this review! If they would of taken responsibility for there mistake would not have to write this review!!! At no time did they ever tell me to replace the sending unit it is just more lies!! I have a large budget which I never at anytime discussed with anyone, but I never took my Jeep back because they are liars and cannot be trusted to do the job you need!!!! I have since spoke to several people who have been ripped off by Boult Automotive!!! It was an awefull experience and I hope this review helps to expose this kind of dishonesty!!!

They took advantage of my spouse by performing 600 bucks worth of work with out any sort of authorization. He requested a safety and upon pickup is when they told him they did front and rear brakes. I’ve worked in dealerships for over a decade and can’t believe this shop still acts like it’s acceptable. Absolutely ridiculous that they considered that a reasonable policy. We live literally blocks from this shop and will never return or recommend them to our neighbours.

They are absolutely amazing we had somebody accidentally put diesel into our gasoline car late on a saturday evening and they were the only place in town that was open on a sunday, that was able to take us. And they were able to drain our gas tank and prevent us from having major damage done to our engine, for a reasonable price. Thank you guys so much for preventing us from a huge headache.

Fixed my issue with the air conditioner right away!! The only thing they could work on is being a bit more friendly. Front desk people are friendly, but the mechanics need to work on attitude. However, I'll take a grumpy mechanic that gets the job done over a friendly mechanic who is incompetent.

These guys are fair, friendly, and accommodating. They fixed my jeep and not once did they try to get me to fix something that they had "seen" on the original deep scan they did to diagnose my vehicle. This shop is family run and they guarantee their work and stand by their word(s). I have taken my jeep here twice in the past few years and never once did I feel I got ripped off. If you ever need your vehicle serviced I would definitely recommend this place ????

It's very hard to find a good honest mechanic, but we found this mechanic really easy to deal with when our '97 GMC safari van was not starting properly. Allen found the issue so fast and at a reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone.

Highly recommended - I can't say enough good things about Boult. Was on a weekend trip with my girlfriend and the car broke down and we were stranded and they took us in after they were closed (they live upstairs from the shop). They went above and beyond to diagnose the problem for us, and even though they weren't able to fix it the problem (we needed a BMW-specific computer), they put us in touch with a shop nearby that could fix it for us. I was traveling through Penticton and my taillights weren't working. The fuse kept on Burning and they were not able to find the short. Still i was charged $102 for basically nothing. I get that it was .8 hr for labor charge but should be way less if you're not able to find the fault. Secondly the guy who tried driving my car to the service area almost smashed my car upfront as he couldn't get my car into the right gear and went forward rather than going backwards as he thought the car was in the right gear. The front end person was nice and helpful but that's all

Finally!!! I've found a mechanic!!! After almost 5 years of searching. This place is the best auto shop in the South Okanagan hands down. We got a flat early Sunday afternoon and called around to the few shop open on Sundays and they were able to fit us in right away. The owners are awesome and thanks to them my family got home safely. They went above and beyond to make our car safe and at a fraction of the price. Very knowledgeable and honest people which is rare nowadays.

Horrible Service, They were all pleasant when we took our vehicle to them with the cost being over $900.00 but after that it was downhill. We were told to get our piece of Sh**t out of their building or they would have it towed even after we were told it could stay there until the next business day. They charged a bit more than other places for out of province inspection but got me in immediately & were accommodating. Excellent front desk staff, good effort on covid control (again sorry about having to have my kids in tow...not ideal). That being said, inspection went fair (a heads up on a cabin filter replacement would've been nice) and I really like the overall professionalism of the shop...I prefer small shops to the dealerships any day!! What a great way to ruin your own company - letting emotions get in the way of business. sad! "Nice review. If I was here I would have asked you to find another shop as you are to much work and brain damage. You changed the color of your calipers 5 times, You took weeks to get your car here and pick up. Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience at Boult Automotive. We took a work vehicle in for a pre purchase inspection. There was a check engine light on prior to the inspection. The mechanics didn’t note the check engine light on their inspection sheet and didn’t investigate what the issue was. We had to ask them to check it again to see what the codes were. They checked it, cleared the codes and we drove away, only to have the check engine light come on again. We went back, they cleared the codes and we drove away with the check engine light coming on once again. This process took 2 1/2 hours. We took the truck to Skaha Ford and they put it on a reader, identified and fixed the problem in 10 minutes, free of charge. We won’t go back to Boult. By far the worst experience we’ve had with mechanics.

My family and I needed a propane tank repair for our motorhome, in the midst of a cross country trip and Boult was able to make the repair at 430pm and have it done by 530. Incredibly nice people!!! Our check engine light came on when passing through Penticton on a road trip. They got us in right away, checked the code, explained what was wrong, and told us that we could make it home safely. Five minutes later, we were on the road again. They did not even charge us for this service.

We have a classic motorhome and sadly it failed just outside of Penticton. The kindness of 2 people who stopped got us going but hobbled. I called 5 shops that would not even look at it until one recommended Boult. They got us in on a very busy day, diagnosed the issue (carbuerator) and stayed until 7pm to get us running. I am so pleased this level of service still exists. I tried to leave a review on their page as well because Boult really did get us out of a jam! Now we can enjoy the last couple of days of camping! Brought my car in for diagnosis as it recently died in traffic and would not restart. They were able to look at my car within a day and gave their honest opinion of the source of the problem. They contacted me to give the option to have them fix or fix myself, and let me know the price to repair. I chose to do the repair myself as it turned out to be a simple fix, and they were supportive of that decision with no hard feelings. I think they were generally pleasant to deal with and the fee was very reasonable. They did not pressure me to do work that wasn't required and did exactly what I had asked for, and nothing more. I would trust them to work on my car again and would recommend their service to anyone I know. Thanks!

CROOKS!!! did work that was never approved by me. Charged me 157.00 Claiming that they repositioned my skid plate. All they did was take it off, didnt even put it back on!! Took it back got attitude like no tomorrow. Argued with me making it seem like they did me a favour by saving me the 1000.00 that they were going to charge for an unnecessary replacement because that was their first guess!! They are a joke do yourself a favour and drive three blocks to any of the surrounding mechanics!! Hahaha you were informed from the started that all I wanted you to do was look at it. I told you I wouldnt have service but would be back before close. And DONT ACT LIKE YOU PUT IT ON BEFORE I HAD TO COME BACK!!

Been meaning to write a review for a while. Had these folks put a new engine in my old classic car last year. Main issue I had was the final bill being double than that initially quoted with little communication in between to that effect. Just a little watch out for, as hard to argue at the end when they have your car and not much else to do but pay the bill. As for the work done, car runs fine, but had a couple connection leaks where fluid lines not fully tightened.

Very experienced, Fair price, and Honest. I have a 1984 Mazda RX7 I bought as a project car. It has been sitting since 1999 and it was parked because it got harder and harder to start (last owner said apex seals were gone) if that was true engine would need a full rebuild. It took Al no time at all to find the main problem (wasn't turning over). They fixed the starting problem and also found a bad fuel pump, now its running good and starts right up. Huge Thanks to Al

We blew a bearing on our delivery truck around 1pm, and Boult had us in the bay being worked on by 2pm. They give priority to commercial jobs, and helped us get back on the road quickly, and for a reasonable rate. We couldn’t be happier with how fast we were helped and sent on our way. I had a terrible experience today at this location. After driving on the highway a check engine light came on. I have a scanner so I am able to see the code, I know that the code is related to the turbo. I wanted to make sure that nothing was falling apart before continuing the last leg of my journey. I had first gone to a great Canadian oil change location and was told they didn't have the tools to help me. He then pointed me in the direction of your shop. I pulled in very close to closing (which I was aware of). As to not take up too much of the mechanics time I asked if the man had a second to look at my car because the check engine light was throwing a turbo code (I have my own scanner). He agreed went back into the shop for his scanner and came back out. He then said to me "you people and your internet phones and shook his head at me" I was taken aback because of the tone of his voice. I then explained to him that I have a scanner so I know what the code is for. The code can be caused by many things and all I wanted him to do was make sure I could make it home safe. (it would lose power randomly and then very quickly get it again). The man then said to me in a very disgusted condescending tone "You seem to have this all figured out now don't you? I am not sure what you want from me...?" I responded with exactly what I had originally said when I walked into his shop that all I needed was for him to make sure that I would make it safe to Kelowna. He looked at me with a disgusted look on his face and told me that he could not tell the future. He then walked away from me without another word. I can't help but feel as if this man treated me the way he did because I am a woman. I was raised by a father who was a mechanic and raced his own classic car. He gave me the scanner to make sure that I did not get screwed around by mechanics like the man you have at your location. Today was the first time I felt truly thankful for the morals and integrity my father and his mechanic buddies taught me. I am very disappointed that there are still humans in society today that feel as if it is okay to talk to another human being (regardless of gender) in the way that he did today.I will never recommend this location to anyone, in fact I will be sure to tell anyone who asks not to bring their car to this location. Your business advertises Integrity and as a human being with many years of education I know what integrity means and I would advise this establishment to look at the definition again and go over it with their employees. (e.g. the state of being whole and undivided., and/or., the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.) Today I feel that your location failed to uphold any kind of integrity.

On a road trip from Ontario going cross country. Ended up in Penticton BC needing both front wheel bearings replaced. Called first thing in the morning, they took me right in and had me on the road again before 5pm same day! Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
