They are perfectly balanced at every speed that I drive. I like the buying experience - send the details with what you want, and the quote arrives. Pay a deposit and then the balance when picking up the tires. I know many people going here and they all had positive experiences.

They also helped me to fill out Bridgestone reward form so I got back some money back. They have a reasonable price range for buying tires and installation. Would certainly go back to them . Although sometimes it takes a few calls and a few emails or a couple of days to hear back when they're busy (early-mid winter), they offer the lowest prices I've seen and they are honest and professional. I have had rims and tires ordered for several cars over the years. When the first didn't tires didn't fit with my car (rubbing when driving), they swapped back to the tires that fit, ordered new ones, and put the new ones on (which ended up fitting) at no cost. After that, they became my #1 place to go. I ordered a tire when I ended up not needing a new one without them taking a look at it first, they'll return it to their supplier in town no problem. It's a small cozy office with only 2-3 seats for customers, the parking lot is tiny and full of cars usually, but all for a great price! Sean and Graham and all the others have always been friendly and up front.

Owner threatened to cancel appointments, rescheduled at 3am via email but no record of an appointment anywhere, suggested if I paid more I could get faster service. All for winter tires. I had the tires on my 350Z recently changed there - I originally had a slight shimmy at higher speeds (110-130 km/hr) - Sean was able to explain clearly why the vibrations were coming and his balancing process. The car drives extremely smooth after the balance and new tires. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are an amazing tire & I recommend them to anyone. I also would recommend the balancing process used - Hunter - they let me watch the entire process close by. Technicians were quite amicable and friendly unlike some places - they chatted and explained everything - took very good care when handling my rims. I particularly like the fact that Sean pays attention to detail. He treated my car like it was his own. I highly recommend him and I've purchased two sets of tires from him already and intend to continue to do. I also send my clients to him when I know they're in the market for tires.

Since 2009, I have purchased tires over 12 times for various vehicles, from sports cars to SUVs, including all-season and winters, and 2 sets of rims. I like the fact that they provide good vehicle specific recommendations if I ask for tire alternatives. Pricing is always excellent. Never find anyone who can beat O.T.D. Don’t let the “minimalist” premises put you off, they are passing the savings on, instead of spending on a fancy office. The 2015 addition of their new wheel-balancing machine is superior to the old one, much quicker process and more accurate.

I have dealt with Sean since 2009, what can I say? Everything is great, even they occasionally screw something up, they are willing to fix whatever problem they had, unlike those big corporations. Things tend to get busy around this place during peak season, so plan ahead, in a normal day, you can expect a speedy turn around. Sean replies messages at middle of night (but do not do that to him anymore, I was just trying to finish my daily list of to-do lists)

Great experience! I got my tires changed from winter to summer here and what I appreciated most was that they were honest about everything. It was pretty funny to find a screw lodged in my summer tires...... Other than that though they welcomed me in their garage to check things out and when they found they had to change one of my tires, they discussed with me the options and made a fit with my needs. In a nut shell, it's it's hard to find mechanics that don't cut corners or that you can trust - these guys are good on both those fronts. Highly recommended

Shawn is a professional. He was the only one in Ottawa that knew what he was talking about. He took over 30 minutes to discuss all my options available for my BMW. His suggestions got me the absolute best deal in the city but more than that, he fitted my vehicle with the best tire and rim package including sensors lower than anyone. He beat COSTCO, Canadian Tire and Frisby Tire by a long shot. Thank you guys for taking the time to explain everything and for having the patience to answer all of my questions. They run at all hours of the night. I live in a neighbourhood across from the shop. They make noise that keeps my young child awake at night. This place is bloody ridiculous. Staying open til midnight? Close down at a reasonable time like other shops do. Do you only answer to reviews that are good in your favor? C'mon. There's for that live in the neighborhood behind and across from your shop. Do you not have anything better to do then remain open until midnight, when during the week kids try and sleep at night and the work happening there keeps them awake?

Never going back here. I have to first off comment how run down that place is. Looks like a crack house. Even though the guys installing my rims on the tires I ordered were super nice, funny and professional; the owner is a complete douche. I tried to price match the tires I bought (as per the website said I just brought the advertized price from a Canadian business in stock) and the guy didnt want to give me time of day on trying to match it. He was making up some lame BS excuse that I had to tell him prior to even ordering the tires to match them (website didnt mention this). Then he went on this speech rampage that he would rather work at McDonalds then price match something that he wouldnt make enough profit on. He then in turn called me a "penny pincher" in front of me for even trying to price match a $20 difference per tire... I should have demanded for him to remove the tires from my rims and I would take my business elsewhere but I didnt want to hear another lame speech about that either so I paid him. Will be taking my business elsewhere next time.

Review update. Bought new car this year. Asked Shaheen to source winter tire and rims. Came through with great combo and great price. Recommend to anyone. This is my third engagement with Shaheen and OTD team. Had a tire go flat and was destroyed late Xmas eve. Shaheen took my call Xmas day, found some replacement tires (2) to match the tread wear on the remaining two on boxing day and replaced the tires on the 27th. Had a small follow-up issue which was resolved immediately and professionally. These guys are the bomb.

I shopped all over Ottawa for snow tires. The big names businesses cost the most money by about $100 more in my case. Ottawa tires direct passes on the cost (lower overhead) to the customer. I didn't even set foot in the place and knew to stay away. I called in for a quote on snow tires and the guy tried to sell me X-ice tires for $20 above the average price stating that it was a good price. And also stating that there were only 4 of them left in all of Ottawa. I called Frisby right after and they had plenty in stock and the price was cheaper and also included installation!

The rim on my car would not properly hold the air pressure and would deflate slowly. I constantly had to refill it every two weeks. I tried to fix it at CT garage and nothing. Found OttawaTiresDirect on Google and gave them a go. I am certainly glad I did. They were able to properly seal my rim and it is now holding air pressure at 100%. Sean, a senior tire tech, even followed up one and two weeks after the repair to ensure it hasn't lost any air. They saved me from trying to find a new rim to buy. Will definitely go back for any tire repair or when buying a set of new tires in the future. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great and friendly service!!

I have been going to Ottawa Tires Direct for several Years now. A former colleague had highly recommended them. As a recently single woman who knew nothing about tires I felt overwhelmed with the amount of decisions that needed to be made when buying tires. Shaun made it very easy and saved me money and when I believed that I needed to get more expensive tires he set me straight and explained what I really should be looking for. One year when I wrote asking to buy tires, he called asking why I was buying tires when the tires I had would fit the car I had recently purchased, again trying to save me money, a lot of of it. They know their stuff, I trust them and I highly recommend them!

Shady place, shady owner, shady deals. Avoid at all cost. Went there to buy used tires, was promised 1 year old tires, they tried to sell me 3 year old tires. Scam that would have caught most people who don't bother to check the year of the tires. In the end probably not since they were way more worn than what was supposed to be a few thousand KMs of use. This is the kind of place where you hear stories about people getting screwed over by mechanics I would also assume most of the reviews for this place are BS fake accounts.

Had the worst experience with this company. I bought tires from them because they promised to get a rebate from the manufacturer for the tires I bought, which brought the overall price down. After trying for almost a year to get the rebate from them, I just gave up. I had sent them all the info they needed numerous times and called and emailed them continuously, but to no avail. They kept claiming they had submitted it, and I should have received it. I even dealt with two of the employees of the company, and neither could explain or help me out. Please don't support this business, even if the price is right. The overall savings are not worth the grief they have put me through.

I got a flat tire and was struggling to find a place that had my tire size available. All places quoted me 2-3 weeks to order my tire which was stressful. Somebody recommended me OttawaTiresDirect and I was very pleased. After a quick phone call I had multiple tire price quotes sent to my email and then the tires I requested were available the next day. I was sent to a garage to get them installed and the staff emailed and called me multiple times to ensure I arrived okay and everything was running smoothly. Service was on time as I got the work done over my lunch break. The staff was friendly. By far, the cheapest price I found for my Cooper tires (215/45/17). Knowledgeable and informative when it came to explaining the tire wear on my old tires and what to expect from my new tires. Wheel alignment was done perfectly. Bought a set of winter tires about 5 years ago. Tires were a good price however 3 of the rims that were installed have broken while on the highway. Almost got into a bad accident once. In my opinion aftermarket rims are very poor quality. Beware.

Terrible place! We had booked our appointment for 10am just to get there and be told there is no record of it. Had to wait around for over 40 mins for this guy Fazil to get us in finally. The office is dirty and extremely cold. We waited over an hour and a half in their freezing office while the only employee there, Fazil, laughed at the situation. Don’t waste your time and money at this broken down mess of a place.

Great service, price and timeliness during new tire installation. One thing they did that is absolutely above board compared to anyone else is that they were running late and actually contacted me well ahead of my appointment time to advise me and ask if they could push the appointment by 30 minute. As a result, I wasn't waiting around for no reason. This was greatly appreciated and will definitely go back again for new tires when needed.

It's been years since I last had my winter tires changed on my car. However im just going to stick to the facts. I gave them 3 stars because of there availability, however I removed two stars because my last visit I was told I need to pay in advance to keep my appointment but they made an exception for me on that visit because I did not know when I booked my appointment and they knew me. Also after one of my tire changes when they kicked a tire to remove it I heard a noise coming from my car brakes. However 2 years later my brakes needed to be replaced . The owner did test drive my car afterwards to help diagnose the noise and offered to look into it further for a fee. Just the timing I started hearing that noise. They always retorque lugnuts after so many km though and the owner is knowlegeable. I wont be coming back though to ottawatiresdirect . Those are the facts .
