Unlike another place with "Tire" in its name, here you get to speak directly to the mechanics and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. I once thought I needed new shocks. When I described the problem, the mechanic suggested it might be something else. We took a test drive together and he confirmed that it was actually just the bearings in one of the tires. So it ended up being a much less expensive problem to fix.

Finally got the tube I was looking for. The guy never called me the next day to let me know it was in (he said he would, I had to follow up). When I kindly told someone at the counter that they should not forget to call when they say they would I was told I wasn't going to die from it. While of course I wasn't going to die (thanks captain Obvious), these kind of remarks give customer service a bad rep. I'm sure his manager wouldn't be too happy to hear that's how they respond to clients.

Recently went to Frisby Tire on Industrial for a wheel alignment. They were prompt and professional. I had a small issue with the steering wheel not being true (Top of steering wheel not sitting at 12 O'clock). Although I had to go back a second time, the staff were very accommodating and addressed the problem completely. Thanks to sales representative (M.M.) & technician for making experience great overall.

It was several months ago that I went to Frisby, but I doubt anything's changed. First of all, disregard the hours they have posted - the employees don't work past 4:00pm. I wanted to make an appointment for about 4, and was told in no uncertain terms that at 4 o'clock they're done working. 3 is about the latest they'll actually book an appointment, even if it's for a simple job. I went in to Frisby to get an alignment because my car was pulling hard to the left. After about 5 minutes on the lift I was told there was nothing wrong with the alignment and it was probably the cheap tires I had on the car causing it to pull(?) OK, I guess that's possible (they were indeed cheap tires but they had come with the car when I bought it). So I was advised to switch the two front tires around. I approved that and was charged $100 for them to switch my front tires over. Uhm ok, that seemed excessive but if it fixed the problem so be it. Shortly after leaving it was obvious that nothing had changed whatsoever, and I had paid a hundred bucks for nothing. Oh, and did I mention they couldn't believe I had 100,000+ Km on my Chevy, because Chevy cars were garbage? Yep. So I paid a hundred bucks for them to tell me my tires were crap, my car was garbage and have them do nothing whatsoever to actually fix the problem of my car pulling to the left. I went to Canadian Tire and in less than ten minutes they were able to tell me that both of my lower control arm bushings were seized. Paid a couple hundred and the problem was fixed. And they didn't criticize my tires or my car. I can't speak to all the Frisby Tire locations, but this one on Industrial has awful customer service, I'm doubtful their "technicians" are even licensed mechanics, beyond 3 o'clock they'll do a rush job because it's nearly quitting time, and they have no problem ripping you if they don't approve of your car or tires. I won't be back, ever.

BUYER BEWARE! Brought dodge truck in for a wheel alignment appointment, mechanics said it needed $2000 worth of work. Said the truck needed all new ball joints, tie rods, front sway bar and wheel bearings. Sounds like the truck is falling apart right? Only problem is I took it to a mechanic the day before on bank street. He didn't have the equipment for the alignment, but inspected the truck anyway. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! I don't know what SCAM frisby is trying to pull but I would recommend doing some research on any work you might need done...

The prices are fair and they ensure that seniors and people who don't understand cars are not ripped off. I've observed how they treat others while I'm there waiting. My first experience was buying tires when I bought the first car I had with alloy rims. They were very helpful and fixed a leaky rim (and the tires were perfect). Years later when the same car was on its last legs I thought I would get a wheel alignment to tide out the last months. They told me not to spend another dime and didn't charge me for anything. Looked over the car for me which was very helpful. Very honest service! Very happy with their patient, and pleasant customer service.

I had a flat tire and was able to book an appointment online which was great and had my car in the following day. The service was quick and they kept me informed each step of the way. They removed a disposable vape pen from my tire which was smoking on the way out (first time for everything!) and were able to use their largest patch and saved me from having to buy a new tire. The staff were very friendly and the location is super convenient!

Exception to the rule! I took my 07 VW to the dealership to get tuned up before a long trip out of town. They said I needed 5K worth of repairs! - with new tires being the most urgent. I took the car to Frisby Tire and instead of just taking my money for 4 new tires, they inspected my tires and told me that I would be fine for the foreseeable future on my current tires. Unfortunately, most automotive shops have earned a reputation of ripping off naive/ignorant customers. If you are a woman and/or anyone that is not extremely familiar with cars, you enter the auto shop feeling that you can not trust what they are telling you. I am happy to report my experience with Frisby Tire was excellent and they will give honest feedback. Highly recommended!

Excellent service. They help me figure out a way to obtain the tire I needed on the weekend when delivery was limited. They were extremely quick. Had the tire delivered from the warehouse to the service centre within the hour and processed me right away. And the service rep was super nice to top it all off! It was my first time going to Frisby today, but their service turned me into a new customer.

Went for a wheel allignement, print out was not given, was told that the computer was not working. Once I got home, noticed I was missing two wheel covers. Called the shop, they said the covers were broken and they did not bother putting them back on or telling me about it. Stoped by next day to pick them up, they could not find them. Steering wheel is slighy off center after the allignement.

Was at this location today and spent over 300$ on some repairs. My complaint is about the lack of customer service. Walked in for my appointment and not one of the three men behind the desk said anything. So I left and came back to get my car, my husband paid the bill and we still had to wait for 15 minutes. My husband decided to make a cup of coffee, the holder had no water, when he asked for some water one of the guys just pointed to a sink and where the cream was. Just to let you know one guy was on his cell phone one guy was on company phone and the other guy was on his tablet. So, needless to say they were not busy at all and this was the so-called customer service they were providing when someone is spending money at that location which in return is their paycheck

DEC 24 - emergency with Nissan fleet car Visiting Ottawa for the holidays, up from Toronto. Smelled something burning in the car - 10.30 am - Frisby Tire on Industrial was the ONLY place answering my Fleet company's call and they were closing at noon. I personally got only one "live" Nissan dealer but they only had 1 mechanic in who was swamped). We arrived in 10mins, they took in the car immediately. 5mins later they had the problem diagnosed and were dealing with it, so I asked them to check my tire with the slow leak - they pulled a 2" bolt out, so I mentioned my burned out parking light - you must be wondering what kind of driver I am, but hey, it's crazy this time of year and don't you know, bad stuff comes in threes - the guys took it all in stride, and turned us around in less than 60 mins. The whole team were superb - quick, friendly, calm, capable, and really good humoured - considering the day. Francis - Chad - and really sorry that i've dropped the names of all the other guys - thank you from the bottom of my heart - you didn't just fix my car - you absolutely made my Christmas. At Frisby tire on Industrial, i get Amazing service! I brought in my rims and tires to be mounted and balanced , no car, and when i installed them, 2 rims had stacked weights , i had to peel off one layer so they would not rub on the calipers. Returned to get my back tires balanced , not really their fault since they did not have the car the first time. Well they re balanced all 4, with colour matching weights on my black rims. I also get my work fleet truck serviced there. Give praise where praise is due. They go above and beyond . Thank you to Chris, Mark , and everyone there !

Had tires exchanged.... second year for this. First year at Sommerset was excellent. Picked up the car and drove away instantly noticing a pronounced thump thump. Drove back and technician comes out.... sprays ?gas? On the tire a ignites it. Tire had not been seated! Two weeks later.... first time on hiway.... thump thump thump.... tire clearly did it of balance. Phoned for two days only getting a recording. Drove there to get an appointment to get it fixed! My time clearly has no value! C’mon boys you are supposed to be tire experts.... that’s why I cane to you!!!! Disappointed!

I came here because of the high reviews I saw on google. I was also excited to support a smaller business than others in the area. I took an appointment and was promised it would be a short wait because I had somewhere to be within 3 hours and the work needed was not going to take long anyway. When I got there I was told that it wouldn’t be done in the time promised and that I shouldn’t try to book an appointment for the next two weeks because it was “busy”. I thought of paying ahead of time and leaving the car to pick it up later however I was told that I can’t do that.. I am disappointed and will be looking for somewhere else with better customer service.

I was once a happy customer but the last 3 appointments have been beyond horrible. Dealing with Mark is a nightmare. For the 3rd time in a row I had a scheduled appointment where I left my car for the day. All 3 times they left it until the end of the day and then claimed they don’t have time to do the work as scheduled. I take the day off work and Uber back and forth. This time they not only didn’t have time they claimed they couldn’t find the problem (simply resting your hand on the trunk causes the squeak, a child could have done it, As I described when I scheduled the work). Once it was finally located they ordered the wrong part and waited until the end of the next day to exchange it. When my part did arrive they never called me. I had to call them. Mark’s reason was “I was too busy with work”. I’m sorry, me spending $10k over the years means I’m not “work”? Mark constantly lies and blames Francis for any failure though they’re obviously his doing (or lack of doing). I would now not only avoid this place but will loudly warn others. Do NOT go here.
