Here you have all the opinions of real people who used the products and services of Frisby Tire Co. - Centretown (Tires) in Ontario (Canada).

As you can see the average of ratings is basically the highest, and it is founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Good place to get tires
I desperately needed winter tires last minute over the Christmas season a few years ago and I was fortunate to find them at Frisby Tire. Not only were they able to take my vehicle within the next few days but the service was great. The staff were enthusiastic, and eager to leave a great impression. The job was well done and the tires are performing very well. I'll definitely chose Frisby Centretown to install my next set of winter tires. Keep up the great work!
August 2015 I purchased a set of Cooper CS5 from Somerset and Preston Frisby to go on my Honda that has aluminum rims. There has been nothing but issues since purchasing them. Original set of tire 8 years and no issues. 1) After the install I took back my vehicle next day to have the balance checked -severe vibration. One tire was replaced because it was faulty. That should be apparent when you balance it. I have read other reviews on this forum where this fault type was discovered when they want to sell you a tire. 2) Dec 2015 stored them for the winter. Apr 2016 took them out and one was completely flat. This tire went in for service and was found out to be leaking around the rim. Unacceptable to me. Perhaps they they were to busy to clean the rim properly. $35 for issue that should not occur. Went I got the car back and checked the pressure of the tires (should be 32) they ranged from 35 - 42. Can't even get that right. 3) June 2016 - now more tires are leaking. I will not go back to Frisby. They try hard but if the word Tire is part of your name then it would be best to know how to install them properly. Very disappointed. Update: July 6 2016 - Took my vehicle to Young St Garage and asked them to fix my leaky tire. They told my that my tire was installed incorrectly. The rim was not cleaned and there was no tire sealant applied. It cost $36 for each tire to be re-done. What will Frisby do for me for the 2 remaining tires to be installed correctly?
Came by here with a flat and they disassembled my tire and couldn't find anything and didnt charge me anything either! Excellent customer service! Will definitely be back to buy tires at the end of the season!
Short and sweet, these guys were fantastic. I had my first interaction with them this past fall purchasing winter tires and wheels, Joe was awesome going through all of my options to make a decision, no rushing at all. Had them installed and added tire pressure sensors that ultimately did not function properly all winter like due to compatibility with the make of my car, definitely not from not trying to make it work. When I had my all seasons put on the team credited me back for the faulty equipment without even the slightest push back. Awesome team Joe, Mike, John, great customer service I will be back in the fall and highly recommend this location.
Super fast service, emergency tire fix the morning before a long drive. Thank you! Good price as well!
They are great. Helpful, professional, quick. Reasonable prices.
Simple, hassle-free, friendly service
I was have a road trip to Ottawa, but got a flat tire and contact with the staff through phone, they was very nice, when I get into the store they checked for my tire, I got a cracked wheel, but they can not fix it in one day, so one staff suggested me to drive back to Toronto and take Hwy-7, and check the tire pressure repeatedly.
Always friendly and easy to get an appointment with for changing and storing tires.
We were selling our SUV, and the buyer needed us to fix the shaking before he agreed to buy it. We immediately thought of Frisby Tire, but were worried about price, as tires can be very expensive. WE didnt' want to spend money on 4 tires and still have the shaking... They did some tests and guranteed that the shaking would stop, and said they would simply refund us, if this didn't fix the problem. They have us a great deal on 4 tires, and installed them that afternoon at another location. Problem solved, and the buyer bought the truck.
Great Service at a great price, very professional people and great customer service
I have used their service over the years several times even though the location is not optimal for me, living in the East End. However, I have always been satisfied with the service. In fact, on more than one occasion, they went above any beyond.
I got a flat tire: showed up in a middle of their busy day without an appointment and they fixed it the same day! Reasonable price and courteous service.
Very slow. Took more than 1 hour beyond promised time -- they actually forgot about the car until we arrived to pick up the car. They also crushed the container of cleaning wipes in my trunk, covering it in cleaning fluid. They would not offer a discount for the services they barely rendered.
Warning !!! They sold me old junk tires ,you know ,the kind you see in the garbage bin out back .One actually blew out a few days later .So....go ahead take your chances but then again ,I told you so ....
They were awesome! They looked to help me save money, they took the time to listen to my driving habits, they chose not to upsell me when it didn't necessarily apply to my driving history, their warranty is awesome and Mike was the best! They even stayed open for me so that I could pick my car up after hours. They'll forever more be my tire guys. Thanks for a great experience!
Fast, and a great job. Cant ask for anything more.
Great staff! great service! Staff and management are knowledgeable and professional.
Great people on the front line.
Great prices and service. I used to order tires in the US but don't need to anymore. Make surr you book ahead for seasonal tire replacements. They get very busy but manage to do everything they commit to.
Dec/2013: Actually 4.5 stars -- it's a shade away from perfect. Great customer service, and they store off-season tires too. I had a vibration problem with new snow tires purchased from them (for a new car) and they tended to it promptly. Rebalancing pushed the vibration from 110km/h to 120km/h. From what I've read, this is not too unusual. To get better might require more sophisticated equipment (road force balancing). I don't do enough highway driving to take time and follow-up with that, though I might consider doing so before the next long road trip. Afternote: However, I would strongly advise that you check the tire pressure yourself afterward. I found that it was spread between 30-35psi. I'm not sure if my follow-up trip for rebalancing led to this, i.e., maybe the routine for them is to check all tires when changing them, and this was missed only in the rebalancing visit. (I'm not even sure if tires need deflation for rebalancing.) Apr/2014: Just switched to all-seasons. It went flawlessly. They are the only place I know of that asks you to come back after 80km so that they can re-torque the nuts. So it seems that they have a pretty thorough process. My all-seasons we all inflated to a uniform 33psi and my 5 hour highway drive was without a shudder at any plausible speed that one might drive on the 401. So the previous problem with Michelin Xi3's winter tires might have been the tire itself, or they simply balanced it better this time. Others have pointed out the possibility of ice on one side of the rims. It's possible, but I'm not sure how one would avoid that in an unheated garage. That would mean that many people are condemned to drive around with highly unbalanced tires all winter -- I must be missing something here. July 2017: I recommend asking them to rebalance whenever you change tires, i.e. 2x/year. I sometimes ran into road vibrations, which can be grating, but this time, I asked for a rebalance. What a dream, and it's only a few buck. I do have a story to relate about the Michelin tires that I got. It is certainly not a reflection on Frisby, but I believe it is worthwhile sharing, and this is the most suitable place, as non-ideal as it may be. The purchase of the tires came with a manufacturer rebate of $75. Having participated in a few rebate programs before, I had my doubts that it would be honoured in the promised time frame, and I suspected that reminders would be needed. I didn't need the cash, but I decided to register as an experiment to see if rebate handling had improved since I last particpated. After the specified number of weeks been overshot by quite a bit, I asked the manufacturer about the state of the rebate. Their answer was that they never got it the form. Technically, this is possible, but that would be my first postal mail failure ever. So I bought some fax software so that I could get confirmation of having faxed them the form. I needed fax SW anyway, and I was curious exactly where this would lead. Time passes. More back and forth. Finally, I get 2 cheques, each for the rebate amount. I ask them if it was a good will gesture for all that transpired. Time passes, more back and forth. Finally, a reply that I should send the cheque back. I wasn't sure which cheque, so I asked which one, and whether I could just shred it (I really wasn't interested in spending the effort to send it back when there really wasn't any effort on their end to get their processes right). Much, much more time passes, and very little response to follow-ups until I bypassed the promotion email address and went to the Contact page. I'll truncate the story here, but it includes what seemed like modification of email headers to hide the delay in responses. You can guess at the level of success of my attempts to explain the need for ethics education. Regardless, the experiment was a success in reconfirming that rebates are not worth the time, especially since you're basically selling your personal information, and in providing a view into the Michelin corporate culture.
I always get a great deal
After my first and and second visit to frisby tire made me feel very unwelcome by the blonde girl behind the desk a third tire issue arose which I hoped frisby could fix but when I walked in I was treated very rudely by the same blonde girl behind the desk that honestly seems to really not like me and for complaining about poor service i was told not. To come back so Be fore warned if you complain about there services they will refuse to provide you with service in my experience this is an improper way to run a business, I am now forced to travel across town with my 7 year old to get a tire fixed. Thanks frisby
Customer service lacking. I walked in and four grown men were sitting at the counter and not one of them said hi or smiled. I said I have an appointment, and one of them started to ask me all the questions I already answered yesterday on the phone (license plate, what do I want done, etc). Again, I said I have an appointment. Another guy piped up, "what's your last name?" and found my appointment right away. It was done in under an hour so no complaints about the work itself. Thanks, but I think I'll take my service elsewhere next time. I like to feel heard when I'm paying.
I have been dealing with this location for many years, and have always been happy. Friendly service from longtime staff. Competitive pricing and a wide range of brands.
We bought 4 new tires for our Toyota Sienna from a tire dealer that we found on Kijiji. The price was right, but the saying "you get what you pay for" really is true here. We started having problems with the van shaking at about 90 km/h not too long after putting these new tires on. So, we took the van to our great mechanic in Hintonberg area... He noticed a few other things on the van, and fixed them. The repair bill was $1800, even after he gave us a huge discount. Of course he balanced the tires, which made the problem go away for a few days. But, then it came back.... This time at 110 km/h. So, we took the van to the only tire "expert" that we knew of in Ottawa, Frisby Tire. We really didn't expect to fix the problem, as the mechanic told us is was probably a manufacturer's defect, which he's seen before. But, after I explained the problem to the young guy at Frisby on Somerset, he brought in an older gentleman to take a look. They spun the tires on a machine, and the older gentleman pointed to the tire, and it was bulging upwards. You could barely see it, but they tried the machine on all four tires, and the problem was the same with all of them. He said that the cheap material for the tires could cause warping, especially with a heavy van amd with the heat we were having. They knew I had a newborn, and I told them about the $1800 we had already spent, and they gave me a really good deal on a brand new set of tires. The problem was solved 100%. Now the van runs great and I feel so much safer on the road. I just wished I had gone to tire experts in the first place.
Needed tires for my truck and found them very helpful with no pressure sales. I waited a few weeks and decided witch tires I wanted and they were ordered and installed the next day. Very knowledgeable staff.
Have now ordered some new tires at a great price!! Will be put on early next month .. polite & proficient!!
Fast, cheap, great service. A no brainer really folks.
Very satisfied. I was stuck in Ottawa after a flat tire and couldn't get back home to Montreal. They gave me an appointment very quickly and great service on top of it. I chose them because of the previous good google reviews, so I'm paying it forward. I recommend this place.
Fast great service and the price came in at less than the original quote!
Customer service is still alive!!! Last Sunday I found a large nail in one of my tires. Knowing this is high season for swapping tires for the winter (and they would probably be fully booked), I decided to go to the Frisby location in Centretown when it opened on Monday morning (7:00AM). When I arrived I explained my situation to John (full expecting the "sorry we are booked" (which looking at their daily schedule they were). To my astonishment he said leave it with us. By 3:30PM the same afternoon my tire was replaced! John asked me to return after 80km to check the wheel nut tightness, which I did. I noticed on the bill of sale it states, "Free tire rotation after 10,000km". When I asked if that applied in my case (since I only purchased one tire), I was told yes. Unbelievable service from start to finish. They have my business, and I will unequivocally recommend Frisby to everyone. Thank you so much to John and Frisby Tire!!! Peter
The local Tire shop for all your tire and rim needs. The staff here are helpful and friendly. They go over and beyond to make your visit memorable.
Efficient, friendly, reliable service.
Seriously great service!!!! I've used this location twice now. Yesterday, I showed up 30 minutes after they closed, yet they still served me. They fixed a puncture in my tire and happily changed my tires and made sure I had enough tire pressure in the remaining tires. Shout out to Mike at Frisby. Hell of nice guy. All in all it was 30 bucks. Will happily return to Frisby for all my tire needs.

Went in today with a punctured tire. The service was fast and unbelievably kind. Due to the covid situation, I lost all my income. I explained this and without question, they offered me a loaner tire since my former tire was unsafe to drive. Incredibly professional and quick, efficient and helpful service. Thanks guys! Highly recommend
(Translated) Excellent service (Original) Excellent service
Fantastic customer service! I hit a deer on the 417 and wrote off my car. Mike and Emily helped get me some scrap tires so I could get my new winter tires off the car before it went to the wrecker.
Front and back staff. Excellent service without a doubt.
Excellent customer service. They really went out of their way to accommodate me. I had a series of unfortunate events and on top of it snow and a pothole ruining a one day old winter tire. They were very accommodating and understanding. Can't thank them enough. I know where I'm going for tires from now on.
Friendly folks....went to get my tires checked....no charge! Thanks
Went in to fix a flat tire and noticed that the pressure in the tires is all over the place, and the one they fixed is overinflated. Not a big deal, but gives me a good idea of how they work.
Nice to have the store in our neighborhood.
I have always been happy with the service and high quality tires that they provide for me and my customers.
Stopped by to see the Frisby folks after a tire on my SUV started unravelling on the Queensway early this morning. They were friendly, efficient and installed a full set of new tires for quite a good price and in a short time. Very pleased with the experience
You will not get better service. Best tire balancing work ever. Fast, understanding and friendly.
LOVE them. Saved me and my car when I needed them most! Incredibly friendly and knowledgable staff.
Dealt with Chris who is honest to the core; saved me hundreds of dollars! Will be going here to buy my tires going forward, thanks to Chris!
Always great service and selection.
We've trusted the people at Frisby (Somerset) with changing our tires twice a year for almost a decade. We bought two sets of winter tires here and usually store the off-season tires with them, too. The staff is friendly, hardworking and very knowledgeable about their products and services. We've never had a tire issue, which is something in Ottawa (pot-hole capital).
Amazing customer service. Picked up my winter tires here a few months back. I recently had a little issue with one of them and they took care of it without question. Thank you!
Great service for our fleet. Trust the mechanics. Clyde location good too.
They fit me in right before the holidays, know thier stuff, and were fun to chat with. It's also central so you can easily take a bus or cab from here to work.
Great guys and fast service!
Friendly service. Helped me find the right tire to purchase!
Today we ran into an issue pulling our trailer where we lost a tire and split a rim. These guys went out of their way, after hours to locate the right size rim in the closed warehouse, bring it out to the highway where we were sidelined. The repair was done quickly, efficiently and courteously. Thank you Spencer. We highly recommend you and Frisby. If you are in a spot.they are the right people to call.
I would not recommend this place. I purchased a set of winter tires and wheels and asked them to mark the position of my summers so I could rotate them when I put them back on. I was assured this was standard practise and it would be done. When I took my summer tires back out there was no indication whatsoever of where they were. Because I didn’t know the previous position of the tires I may be prematurely wearing them, shortening their lifespan. They were expensive. Not a happy customer.
Great no nonsense efficient experience. Fixed my flat in 25 mins, told me what the issue was and did it for a reasonable price.
Great customer service. Really know what they’re doing.
Great deals great service go to frisbee Tire I recommended to anybody with a vehicle
I hit a pothole and got a flat tire about 600 meters away from Frisby tire, which was the closest mechanic. I left my car late at night outside the store and called in the morning to tell them about the problem. They told me to come in whenever I can to give them my keys to have a look at the problem. A few minutes after arriving they found that the tire needs to be replaced but were out of stock so they ordered one for me and gave me a free tire to use until my replacement tire was shipped. Customer service was excellent and the quality of their work was just as good. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t charge me any additional costs that were unnecessary. I will be going there in the future and recommending this place to friends and family!
Excellant service had my summer tires put on in and out in 35 mins.
These guys r very helpful and did quality job. They wont over sell you. In fact, i wanted an extra service but they said i dont need it for the car. Super friendly and can program your oem tpms sensors no problem. Its quit cheap too. It will be my tire place from now on
Can’t say enough good things about Frisby Tire Co. I blew two tires on some potholes near my place and Mike helped me quickly and effectively. Really great guys.
excellent service
Passing through Ottawa and tire pressure light came on. The people here brought me right in, checked my pressure and sent me on my way. Such great customer service. Thank you!
Been there many years helpful
Great Fast Service. Frisby is my go to place whenever I have tire issues. They have put plugs in my tires to fix a slow leak rather than trying to sell me new ones. You can trust them.
Great service... have been with them for over 15 years.
I'll NEVER go to Frisby again. Last time my truck was there, the 'fella' that I met in the morning went home sick ... never passed on the info to someone else, so at the end of the day I called... my truck wasn't worked on. When I came to pick it up , the rubber from the brake pedal was on the floor, and the release for the seat ( to access the rear) was broken. BTW... I DID NOT say that they could drive my vehicle somewhere else ! These guys make crappy tire look good Too bad, Frisby USED to be "the place to go "
A relic of good old fashioned customer service. These guys helped me with a tire warranty when no one else would. Very courteous, very professional, well done job. Tires torqued and inflated to spec, vehicle clean, just perfect. VERY HAPPY.
Awesome customer service, which seems to be rare this day in age. Was losing air in my passenger front tire. New winters, old wheels/trims. I went in first thing and they said they were fully booked but would try and fit me in. I left the car with them and when I went to fetch car, they had repaired a leaky rim! It was a reasonable cost in all too. Kudos to Frisby tire (Preston @Somerset). Thank you.
*Look elsewhere* if you want your wheels to come back in the same condition they were when you parted with them. With the wheels scattered all over the lot and stacked on top of each other (see photos), this place couldn’t care less about how they handle your property! I went to Frisby to have a flat tire patched and plugged. Prior to handing off the tire to an attendant, I indicated that the rim was in pristine condition and offered to inspect it. “Sure, no worry” was the last I heard as he wheeled it inside the shop. Fast forward to the pick-up time and I see the attendant fetching my wheel, not wrapped or otherwise protected, from underneath a pile of boxes. Surprise! There are multiple scuffs/scratches across the rim. They obviously denied any wrongdoing, insisted that the scuffs were there to begin with and told me not to "try to pull this off on them". It was pointless to argue with them and I can only blame myself for taking my business there. In retrospect, I should have taken photos/had them note down on the work order that they accepted a wheel with not a single mark on it, but this was supposed to be a reputable shop and not some underground garage where one can expect subpar work and mishandling of the customer property. Lesson learned: avoid Frisby if you care about your property and don't want it to be damaged. UPDATE (in response to the owner’s reply): unfortunately, the team is being dishonest and I can only hope that you reconsider how you store your customers’ wheels so to avoid similar accidents in the future.
So I thought they did a good job but if you got tires put in go check air pressure I got my tires checked after they put new tires on a week later one tire was at 50 psi one at 40 at at 35 one at 33 I bought the new tires hear I called and Joe answered he took my call as a joke and made no effort to even say a word skip this place anyone can do tires better they gonna apologize but try to apologize when your car pops a tire at 100 and everyone dies good job ill pass my tires are rated for 33 how did it get to 50
Very knowledgeable staff that will explain the options. Definitely would recommend them.
Super fast service and they took the time to diagnose and fix an issue with my spare tire that I couldn’t figure out. Great spot.
In my opinion this is the best Tire Shop in Town. Mike is just a great guy to work with.Very knowlegeable staff.
I had a flat tire, but they were able to repair it. That easily saved me 100$. I used to go to the Midas on Bronson, but I'll likely be going here from now on. Thanks!
Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and committed to their work, and honest
Professional, compassionate, fairly priced service. I had a tire with a leak before a weekend trip to Toronto. Chris from Frisby fit my car into the schedule, consulted me on choices for the repair, and finished the job before I had to leave. Will becoming again for any future tire issues. Thanks!
Thank you always a playser
Very kind and helpful staff! John helped me with my flat tire in a jiff, and at a shockingly reasonable price especially considering all they did to help me get back on the road. Could not recommend this location any higher!
Great price and service. In and out like promised
Had A misunderstanding about a warranty issue Mike from Frisby Tire called me he was very polite resolved the issue immediately I was relieved & really appreciated the phone call They care about their clients & that means a lot Thanks
Ladies this is a great place! They are awesome gentlemen who explaine things. I was never spoken down too and was treated like a customer, not a female customer. First time having winter tires, they answered all my questions and had tires ready in two days. Just switched back to my all season and it was the same great service. I will be back in the fall. Thank-you gentlemen!
