The owner doesn’t honour his appointments or promised service times. Not once, but in more than one ocation. Last fall he made me wait there overall 5-6 hours, (in 2 sequecial days), telling me that the job will be done “any moment”. After spending couple of hours the first day they make me come on the next day and wait again. Despite this terrible experience I told myself “may be they were busy back than”, and today I decided to give them another try. This time was for a simple tire change - the tires (on rims) they sold me last fall were in my car. Simple 10-15 minutes job. I made an appointment, and they even asked me to come earlier. I showed up, as requested 15 minutes earlier. While I waited about 25 mins, he had a legnhty and and loud talk on the phone (and with other client) in foreign language. Then the owner informed me he can not do the scheduled work today. I noticed also that clients speaking his native language are serviced with priority. And I had all this bad experience despite the fact that I gave him a reasonable business (last fall I spent asbout 1100 dollars) . So, obviously it wasn’t one time misfortunate event, it’s appears that there is systematic disregard to client’s time. But no problem to call me “my friend”. Very unprofessional! At this point I had enough and quit without saying anything. I don’t need to explain him how horrible is his attitude. I will leave the final word to the other clients, their experience, and the competition. I will be surprised if he survive with such service. Will NOT recommend Speedy (under current management) to anyone.

Please don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT GO HERE! Called ahead of time and got a quote for them to change a part of my car. Quote was for $120, but they said it could be slightly higher or lower. I showed up there and asked them to give me the exact quote before they started work on my car. Walked down the road to grab a beer at a bar. Came back after 2 hours and they were already done and charged me $470! I understand it could've been SLIGHTLY higher or lower, but nearly 4 times the price? Please. Also, they didn't even call me with the actual figure before they started work on my car like I asked them to do before. The quote I was getting at my dealership was $200 (and that's a dealership!) Don't go here. They'll rip you off big time.

John and his staff have always been professional and accurate. When they give you an estimate it is exact in terms of cost and timeline. They always find you a deal if it is possible and will suggest things that would need to be done soon but would be more cost effective to do now because of the existing repair they are working on. I would and do recommend them in a heartbeat.

Wish I could give a 10 star rating. My car needed transmission oil, tire rotation and something else I cannot recall. This was the shop I chose to go to...BEST DECISION EVER!!! John (the shop owner) took down my information and I explained what needed to be done. He said it would be ready in a few hours and I left my key fob with him. While out killing time, John called to let me know information about my car I was not aware of (aside from what my car would read every time it was started) in addition to the fact that one of my wheels was missing a lugnut and that it would be replaced for me! I had gone back to the shop to wait as it was too hot outside. In a few minutes, John had come up to me and showed me how worn down my break pad was in comparison to a new one he had in his other hand. He explained the benefits of a new one versus continuing to use the worn down one; I chose to have them replaced. When my car repairs were finished, the mechanic took it for a test drive to make sure everything was okay with it. John explained they make it a point to do this for customers. Long story short, my debit card was giving me trouble when it was time to pay. John offered to take me to the bank to get the issue resolved. Finally, when back at shop, the payment went through!! This is the absolute first best first hand experience I've ever had at an auto shop!! The maintenance message no longer shows and my car drives great! To sum it up: John is a very nice, friendly, honest, patient, understanding, informative and hospitable person who offers above and beyond customer service!! Wow! Thank-you so much again for everything and I will gladly make the trip from Hamilton for any future repairs!! - KD

I live in Hamilton and have been coming to this Speedy Auto in Oakville since buying my car in 2011. I trust the opinion of John and his mechanics and I have always had friendly service at a price that I can't find beaten anywhere else. Even my father-in-law has driven from Niagara Falls to this Speedy in Oakville to get work done on his car. I highly recommend this Speedy Auto location!

Took my car here for a simple check-up and fluid top-up and they came back with a number of issues with my car that would cost me $2500+. Took it for a second opinion at a friend’s trusted mechanic and there was only one minor issue with my exhaust pipe which cost me a fraction of the price: $180. I will not be going back.

Visited them at 8:05am on Feb. 10, 2020; there was a guy on a ladder fixing their garage door. When I asked him I need my tire to be looked/fixed, he said he is busy and has to work on their garage door and turned me away. No one else was there in the store. Very disappointed by his manner.

DON'T DELAY ON SAFETY. Right now all dealers make you wait two weeks for tire change, while Speedy welcomes you on the spot. No line up. Did it in twenty minutes and I watched them operate from my seat in the waiting room. Oh you don't get free cupcakes or popcorn there - hehe - and that Elvis on the wall sure is looking at you wrong, but I can tell you I was laughing with pride in the snowstorm *the very next day* with my brand new tire fix.

Brought my Audi in for muffler service. Upon completion of job I left service outlet after paying $600 for what appeared to be a small repair. Within 2 km a horrible noise developed forcing me to the side of the road. I returned to Speedy and as it was late I was asked to leave vehicle for The mechanic to have a closed look. The next day I was informed that my rear brakes needed to be replaced. Did my brakes need to be replaced, maybe, did it look a little suspicious definitely!

I've needed an exhaust for my Nissan Titan for quite a while now and finally couldn't stand the noise anymore. I went to Speedy Auto because I noticed the new owner had gone through and responded to every review, that told me he cares what people think about his business and if I had a disagreement he had a vested interest. He gave a quick estimate of $600 and said it would be ready at 11. It was ready at 11 and it was $600. Truck is super quiet now. Great experience, I was even served with a smile.

Worst experience ever. Speedy provided lifetime warranty for brakes pads, then they took the warranty away when I inquired about service. This guy John told me now it’s 12 months and 20,000 km. Speedy took away the warranty but I think they just don’t want to do the service work after the fact. I went to Midas and the guy offered to replace front brake pads for free. I only have to pay for the rotors and labour. THEY HAVE S REAL LIFETIME WARRANTY. Never going to Speedy for anything again.

I was on a trip and I got an emergency problem with my brakes. They took me in soon, showed me the problem and explained how they have to fix it. They fixed it quick and with a very fair price. I am impressed and I'll be back.

Review is based on JUST THIS SPEEDY LOCATION. I had my muffler replaced. With labour and accessories it cost me over $400. It lasted for 3-years. Went back to this location cause it had a "life time warranty." They just gave me the run around. They said they didn't have record of it and that I have to produce the original invoice, etc. After searching and finding the invoice, I called the location back advising them that I have the receipt. Even after producing that they said they can't confirm that it has a warranty...even though I was told exactly that when I got it serviced. They said I have to wait a week to talk to some manager/boss to see if it's maybe warrantied. After escalating this through Speedy I was able to get this matter resolved. They sent me to their corporate location at 844 Dundas Street East in Mississauga. I dealt with the manager Taz who was more than helpful. They resolved the matter within an hour, all under their warranty. They are the place to go to.

Overall the price is fair compare to other auto shops I went through in these years. Service is good, Yong and Nick are friendly and give me a lot help and suggestions. I would say if they can do more communications during job then it will be even better- although I know they might too busy to confirm every detail while doing the repairs. I cannot remove the review thus I write a new one here.

I have been an extremely satisfied client ever since and would highly recommend his shop's services. I don't normally bother writing reviews on-line but felt compelled to write a review commending John and his staff on the great work they have done on my car over the last 5 years. As someone who was commuting to work from Toronto to Woodstock five to six days a week for over three and a half years I put a lot kilometres on my vehicle (over 525,000 and still counting!!). John and his staff have always given me great advice on exactly what needs to be done and what might need attention in the future to avert more costly major repairs. stay away from this place.called and asked if they fix pipe without replacing the whole muffler they said yes ,went in and they insidted on changing the whole thing . for a price of almost 700.00 dollars. i went to a different location ant they fixed for 50.00 dollars.i guess they get you in and they pressure to change everything.I called them back and told me they do not do partial fix but when i made the appointment they said they do.Stay away from this place .Who knows how many people they overcharge.they told me they do not do mickey mouse jobs. The only mickey mouse job is their business. stay away. i am reportng them to better business. No need to contact you. you will never see me there again

Terrible service. I had something wrong with my water pump and the indicator lights were on - but John did not bother to look to see what light it was. All they did was a diagnostic, and oil change. Had to have the car towed a few days later as the water pump was leaking badly. Very disappointed! Don't bother taking your car here.

RIP OFF All I can tell you ... I went there to have him look at my exhaust (daughter's Car) because a bracket holding the exhaust was visibly broken. His 2 estimates after inspection were over $1100 and over $700. I decided to go down the road to Midas..... repair was done for $25.00!! Midas showed me the repair and confidently told me that it was as good as new. DO NOT HAVE ANY WORK done THERE! Midas questioned whether oil filter was actually changed and indicated other fluid levels and tire pressure were not check and Midas needed adjustment of tire pressure and topped up fluids.

My girlfriend needed brakes on her honda civic and I told her that my friend just had his replaced at this location and at a really good price. So she went and had the work done. What a mistake!! My friend and my girlfriend have the exact same year and model car and when we compared invoices same part numbers and exactly the same work done but her bill was $180.00 more than my friends. Wondering if she paid more because of her gender or because she is not asian. She felt that his asian customers were treated differently.

Yesterday, I had a terrifying experience with my vehicle while driving in Oakville. I pulled into Speedy to ask for help and after quick problem solving - the service tech ( or manager? I'm not to sure) was so very willing to help me out. He then double checked out my other tires to ensure I was safe to drive back home (out of the area) checked that I was ok, and sent me on my way. The entire experience went from complete roadside panic, to feeling assured everything was OK. I would highly recommend Speedy to anyone needing repair work done! Thank you again, I got home safe!

I was very impressed with their service! I went in for my first appointment today and was concerned about any sort of pressure tactics or up-selling routines that usually go with an oil change however everyone was extremely professional, kind and efficient. I also found them very reasonable in comparison to other shops in the area - I will definitely use them again!

The mechanic was not reliable and he broken my parts. The boss asked for another $700 to replace whole cooling system. I found the website to order the simple part, only $30 max. The good thing was they replaced the broken part for free. They changed a belt for my car half year ago and it is very noisy now. I don't know if they still use the same mechanic

My car is always short of coolant.there to check it costs 100 dollar,tell me that the water pump of my car is broken.replace me with a new water pump,and charge 930 dollar for parts and labor.But my car has been replaced with a new water pump and thete is not improvement.I sent the car for inspection again and left it for a day.when I picked up the car, he told me it was fixed.However,my car still leaks coolant.I was sent for inspection for the third time and he told me that the coolant maybe have leaked into the second and third cylinders of the engine, asked to go back and observe for another week.A week later ,I sent it for the fourth time for inspection.they told me that there was no problem with the water pump.They are only responsible for the water pump,and it has nothing to do with them if they want to check other items. I have never encounteted such a thing.what I went to check and repair was the leakage of coolant from the car, The result of your inspection was that the watet pump was leaking,and the inspection fee was charged.The watet pump was replaced according to your plan.but my car problem is still not solved.Finally told me that it is good to only be responsible for the water pump, and not for othets,.I have spent more than 1000 dollar and went there 5 time.The problem with my car has not improved.I do not know what to do?
