Took my car in without appointment and they gladly help. They are very knowledgeable because before coming into their shop a well reputable muffler shop refuse to install my aftermarket exhaust system, they said that the exhaust hanger is in different position comparing from the stock.... Speedy auto figured out how to install it just by switching the rubber bushing (Yup! That simple). Thank you Speedy Auto Service.

Right after getting tire depth and wear checked, and filling tires to proper pressure, front passenger tire goes flat. Denies that anything could have happened that lead to the incident, and charges again for sensor replacement on the tire. Illogical and rude service.

This business used to have an honest crew. However, they brought in a new younger front office team who created a bogus massive repair estimate for my truck last summer where $850.00 of the estimated repair was fabricated unecessary repairs they recommended including new full break package. The trouble is I already had my brakes fully replaced only one year prior to Speedy's estimate. Therefore I was suspicious of his dismissive and arrogant attitude. That service manager told me I had only about 4 weeks left on my current brake shoes. What a complete bunch of malarky. I had Speedy's estimate independently reviewed and sure enough, 90% of their recommended repairs was bogus. Buyer beware.

I booked an oil change appointment through the Speedy Auto on Douglas street and expected it to be no longer than 30 minutes as I’ve experienced many times in the past. When I dropped my car off I was advised that it would be over an hour until my car would be finished which I was not expecting as I had booked this appointment to span over my lunch break. When I went to go pick my car up an hour later my car was still suspended and all of the tires were all off. Soon after speaking with the man behind the desk I realized that instead of doing a basic oil change as I had requested, they did an oil change and full inspection of my car which they ended up charging me for. These charges included a tire rotation which I had already gotten done one month prior. When the man behind the desk realized that all I had wanted was an oil change he said “I was wondering why you looked all pissy when you came in”. Start to finish the service at this location was terrible and I will never be going back, I have never been treated so badly by an auto servicing company.

Brutal experience here. I had a weird sound coming from my clutch so i brought it in to be looked at since they were the only spot who could see me that day. not only did they charge me for a "diagnosis", but all they did was take a test drive. They told me i needed an entirely new clutch, the quote was $1600. I waited and got a second opinion, turns out my clutch was completely fine and it was the linkage that needed tightening. I got it fixed for $200. These crooks still charged me almost $100 to tell me to spend $1600 on something that was in need of no repair. They front desk experience was not very pleasant either. Save your money and go to a real mechanic or a mobile mechanic.

I brought my vehicle in to have it looked at for one of my break pads making a rough sound witch i was suspicious of it may of had a rock wedged in however I did not have the tools to deal with it being a student away from home so these crooks decided to take advantage and quote me 1000$ and try tell me that my whole break system on that one tire was old and destroyed (when in fact I had my entire break system on every tire of the car replaced and brand new just 7 months prior for under 400$ ) Then the same day I picked up my car and took it to a personal mechanic who had it fixed in under an hour (for free) informing me that it was in fact highway gravel wedged into my breaks and he was suspicious if speedy even took off my tires. Buyer beware, do not go here for any automotive services

Don't ruin your car and waste your time and money with unexperienced stuff, we bring our car for a wheel alignment after mentioning it lifting little to the right and an oil change, we ended up with worse lifting to the right side and shaking steering wheels. We complained about it, they said that they did a tire rotation wich could be the problem, we were asked to bring it back they put back tires to original places but didn't solve the issue car is even worse lifting than before and adding new problem, shaking steering wheel. Of course no way to convince them that this wasn't there before and talking only money and we have to pay more for diagnostic. The worst experience ever in a repair shop. If you can't do the job once and right just close and don't waste people time and money. Don't let google misleading you they worth zero stars.

Never try and upsell, just good honest quotations, and the quote is always spot on. The new owner Andrew is carrying on the tradition of quick, quality, service at a fair price.

Rip off artists, go elsewhere. I came for a tune up, said leave the spark plugs alone, I just bought brand new platinums. It was written on the invoice. When I picked up my car, I went straight to the spark plugs and the platinums were gone. replaced with $5 NGK's. I said where are my platinums? they're gone in the dumpster, they said, and we can't find them. I was in a hurry so I left it at that and swore never to come back.

I generally found the Victoria BC Canada Speedy Auto Service to be quick, knowledgeable, and sociable. Some of the customers and staff share quick social chats between their busy schedules. I feel social skill in people is a very important thing. The only thing that does not please me is that I eventually found out one of their technicians forgot to put back a front inside fender well after some repair work on my previous car. This allowed road moisture to splash into the engine bay and deteriorate the drive belts sooner than usual. I find this forgetfulness to be sloppy work. I don't know who the tech was as there are many, and the inside fender had disappeared onto some forgotten pile of various stuff. The management is very knowledgeable, but some of the less experienced techs need more closer supervision in quality control.

Mixed feelings about these guys. I came in with a fuel leak issue and I already knew where it was coming from (feed line at the pump) before I even got there, I just couldn't do it myself because my car is lowered and I couldn't get to the lines under the car without having it up in the air. When I tried to talk to the mechanic about it and tell him what was going on his response was very short and disgruntled as if he thought I was just some young punk and didn't know what I was talking about. I asked if he was having a hard time stating the car cos the key cylinder is a little old and needs some giggling to get it in, he just said "no" then went and did something under the hood. when I got home I saw that he disconnected my positive battery wire and it was barely touching the post...not too safe of you ask me. Then they told me it was going to cost $250(2 hours of work) just to drop the tank down, even though u don't need to remove the tank to get to the line in question, just remove the dust cover surrounding the tank and away you go...And even if they did want to drop the tank out, its literally held up by 4 bolts inside the trunk and then ya just take the pump out and drop it down... I took it someplace else and they actually listened to me and charged me only 50$ to fix the problem.. if it takes your mechanic 2 hours to simply drop a tank out then that's a bit unsettling. That being said the guys at the front desk were nice and they didn't charge me to put it up on the lift.. I'd say just avoid franchised places like this and Canadian tire etc. Privately owned shops will always care more and go the extra mile.

New owner, and I think things are changing in a good way. I took my car in today because the check engine light was flashing. He got me right in, no wait. It turned out the light was on because the gas cap was loose. Despite running the engine diagnostics he didn't charge me anything. I would also add that the waiting room was being painted when I was in there so the old smell of smoke that used to linger in there is now gone and instead it's fresh and clean.

Very shady business. Came in with a gift voucher from a non profit society and the manager wouldn't accept it as he didn't recognize the signature. The manager tried coming up with reasons not to accept it including that the previous owner had done some shady dealings and handed out these vouchers. I provided the non profit organization to follow up and asked him to call back. I called 4 days later to follow up and he had spoken to them and still won't accept it and didn't bother to call me back. I experienced horrible customer service and refusing to honor a voucher. Don't waste your hard earned cash on this shady business.

I was treated exceptionally well from start to finish. I came in with no appointment, and even though all the bays were full, Mike said he could fit me in. Andrew took the car out for a test drive right away, with me along, to listen to what I was concerned about. They even showed me what was going on with the car on the hoist.A part had to come from Vancouver, so a courtesy car was provided, and I was on my way. I picked up the car the next day. I couldn’t have asked for better service, and now they will be my go-to shop.

Went in for a quick oil change .. got a full inspection included . They found a loose wheel but I just had my tires done at a big tire shop in Sidney .. somebody stepped it going on and just left it that way . The guys got me fixed in30 min .. Mike on the counter was the greatest he never said a bad word about the tire shop , just got me fixed up and charged me 35 dollars . I loved the service and the people there will be going back again next time I need service

No air conditioning and a run away alternator putting out 19.6v blew a bunch of bulbs and boiled the battery. It is a fairly rare car so parts were a pain. It was put back on the road with air working at a fair price. Will go back as they have all the high end scanning tools which keeps labour time down. I have sent friends there, who are still my friends.

This shop will not do work w/o calling you first to get permission and they do a thorough inspection - they caught our rusted struts during a routine service appt. While staying overnight in Victoria our car's passenger side forward window was smashed. We visited Bruce at Speedy Glass on Government street for assistance and were pleased with our experience. While, unfortunately, the automotive glass necessary for the repair was not stocked on the island at the time and would take days to arrive from Vancouver, Bruce arranged to clear the vehicle of broken glass and provided an effective plastic window to keep out rain and wind using adhesive tape which matched to colour of our car. Bruce helped us locate an ICBC Glass Express location where we live and even booked our appointment. He was supportive and helpful throughout the experience. Bruce was a great help and the work and time spent sending us on our way to enjoy the rest of our vacation was done with no charge to us. If we have glass needs again while in Victoria (please, no, not again) I'm sure we'd visit Bruce and Speedy Glass as our first choice. We'd recommend Speedy to anyone needing automotive glass servicing.

Trusted auto repair with true old fashion service. I brought my fathers collector car in for some suspension work. Andrew, Mike and the team there took the job with the absolute care and attention.
