I thought they were a great place until recently. I wanted to support local business, so I requested a quote from them. They gave me the best quote compared to 3 other businesses, but when it came time to pay, they changed their quote. Their new quote ended up being more expensive than the second lowest quote I received before choosing Goodyear. They offered to put the old tires back on, but that doesn't account for my time taken off work. I reluctantly kept the tires, as I couldn't afford to take more time off work.
To make matters worse, when they charged me incorrectly for my truck (at a lower price), they asked me to pay the difference, so I adjusted the cost and paid them back, as I wanted to remain honest. But when it came time for them to honour the quote for the car that they provided me, they said no.
I thought I'd give them yet another chance; with only 3 months driving on my new Michelin tires, I got an unrepairable flat in the sidewall. I visited Goodyear to see if they could do something for me, but they said, to bad for you, but we can't help you fix that. Ok, but how much to buy a new tire. Expecting a deal, they said we'll give one to you at the same cost of what you originally paid ($282) but since we're ordering from Ontario, you'll have to pay the $7 shipping, as we can't got that low. So I told them I can get the exact same time at Star Tires Ltd in Lower Sackville, NS for $229; their response was "it's better off for all if you go there, I'll cancel the order."
Wow, now that's service...NOT.....no integrity in honoring their quote over the phone, and no deal for repeat costumers.
I'd rather pay more elsewhere than return there again.
