I've only had them take a long time once (on a busy day), and my car has been here many times. This place has put on my winter tires, performed routine maintenance on my vehicle, and diagnosed issues when the check engine light came on. The service is great; I would definitely recommend this place for any kind of car service.

Requested a safety inspection, and got one two days later as they were booked, was okay by me as I anticipated that. Car was finished within 2 hours, and was worth every penny. Professional and helpful.

I feel like this is a 'you get what you pay for' kind of place. It is a bit pricey, but very high quality service and parts. I don't know much about cars and have been ripped off at other garages because they could tell, yet I have never felt that way here. They are knowledgeable and always helpful. Great skills and service, quality car care! There is a reason Lubrico will only deal with them, they are honest with service and pricing.

So disappointed as this place is so popular and I've enjoyed their service for a couple of years now! They actually just won best of gold in the coast. They didn't earn gold today in my opinion! I dropped my car off at 7:20 a.m., book the appointment 3 weeks prior, told them be dropping it off and picking up after work. I show up and my car is not even close to being completed or started for that matter! Clearly they've overbooked and didn't set the proper expectation to the customer so that I could prepare not to have a car after a long day's work at the Children's Hospital! I was clearly frustrated but employee Chris Cobb didn't have to shout at me demanding me to come into the service area so he could prove to me how backed up they were and when I refused he threw my key at me and escorted me out! I wasted cab money this morning getting back to work, and came home with no Tire or oil change.

I was recommended Todds after having some troubles with my car and was in need of a good mechanic. I could not be happier !!! This is a trustworthy mechanic shop that provides quality service. I have been bringing my car in to Todds for the last 8 months now, and am beyond satisfied every time I leave. They are fairly priced , great warranty and have excellent customer service, not to mention the location is super convenient to the South end of Halifax. I have already recommended Todd's to a few friends- I don't think you can find a better auto shop in the HRM

These guys are amazing. They are so honest and always explain things to me in a way that I understand. They always have the customer's best interest in mind, and I bring my car there knowing that they won't try to take advantage of me and make me pay for things my car doesn't need. Great shop, I tell everyone about it and I won't bring my car anywhere else!

Really convenient for any downtown drivers, and high quality service. They’ve gone above and beyond as well, even getting a code for my stereo after replacing a dead battery. I’m glad I don’t have to see them often, but when anything comes up, I know where to go. EDIT: Again, after a few other visits for routine maintenance, I continue to be really pleased. They are excellent communicators and are great about explaining what exactly needs to be done and why.

I've had to take my car here a few times and they've been great to deal with. The repairs have been fast and the prices reasonable. They've never tried to sell/push a repair or replacement on me that wasn't needed. I'd definitely recommend this garage, and the location is very convenient for people working downtown.

Friendly service right from the first phone call I made. Took my car in, received a phone call later telling me everything it needed in a professional, honest manner. Unfortunately, my car needed too much work to be worth fixing (which the gentleman let me know, and I kind of knew already) and I will be having to scrap it. I cannot day enough great things about Todd’s. Every time I’m in with my car they’re friendly, do what they can to get it ready when I need it, and there’s no surprises. I have had some not so nice experiences with other mechanics who try to get an extra buck - but never at Todd’s. I can trust the information they’re giving me and the quality of their work.

Good work, nice staff. I am a little ticked off they charged me $79 a piece for $10 calliper pins though (parts, not labour). I'm hesitant to deal with them without clear parts and labour costs up front. My family owns a garage in NB... Guess I know the value of work/parts more than their average customer.

Super convenient and everyone’s really nice. Unfortunately it’s crazy busy and you have to book really far in advance. Also they don’t let you purchase parts and where else so I can only use them about half as much as I would like to. Makes it a bit pricey but still usually worth it for south end convenience.

We were visiting Halifax last summer from Ontario when we had some car problems. Todd's was recommended to us and they were great! Friendly, honest, and very helpful. I highly echo the recommendation!

I went there several times for a simple tire alignment but it seems their system is not calibrated, I lost 4 tires for their fault during that period (each time I lost 2 front tires). Management didn't accept that the can't fix the problem. Each time I paid the alignment cost. Then someone suggested me to take my car to the Canadian tire. My car was aligned at the first time and I didn't have any problem. So I'm not recommending NAPA

Had a nail in a tire, just before I had to leave on a 4 hour drive for Xmas. They took me in and patched the tire on no notice so I could make the trip. Really appreciated the service, thanks again guys!

No empathy and care for clients. Paid them to fix an issue they said it's fixed . Went there and paid the invoice. Issue still not fixed.. and then they were like it must be something else.. and they don't care . They were like this is what happens when you buy a retired car. (Exact words) anyway . I would not recommend that to any one .rest is your call.

M: Can you check my vehicle out for long road trip and replace front brakes A: sure M: here to pick up my car, what did you do? A: checked it out from top to bottom..all good other than breaks and one belt. M: like what did you check? A: we checked everything but nothing like a scanner or or anything. M: hmm....so you can’t tell me what you checked....can you show me the invoice showing work you did? A: I cannot show you the invoice until you pay the invoice. M: ??????? Ummm ok - A: gives invoice for $700 showing details of front brake work rotors and pads, Changed alternator belt and a charge of $46 for ‘check for trip’ with no other information for what was checked. Was not a friendly place at all and I was not happy with the service. There are much better places to take your car that provide much better service and are not as expensive.

Went to this place several times over the years and always had a good experience. Minus my last one. Had my tires changed here and came back a week later to get a retorque and was told they do not have time and to come back in 6 hours . Had a car for 15 years and many tires changed at my different shops and never had this issue. Everyone always says come by anytime for a retorque. Went to Canadian tire afterwards and they were able to do it immediately no problem. Won’t return .

Went in for my mvi. Had some minor repairs done the same day. Staff were very polite and upfront. I feel that it was done at a very fair price. Probably the best experience I've had at a garage. Very happy with the quote I was given for repair that was recommended but not needed for the mvi. I would highly recommend this place!

I've been bringing vehicles here for 20 years - Subaru, Honda, VW, Toyota. Efficient, professional, polite and honest. I don't drive new vehicles (I'm female, raised by a mechanic) so I mega appreciate not being looked at like I have 6 heads when talking about cars and being able to have honest chats about what stage a car or system is at, what the best plan is based on age and condition. I've had 100% good experiences here. They're busy but they run a tight ship WRT schedule so you won't be left hanging when you have an appt. Don't expect to rock up and get squeezed in unexpectedly for same-day service because they rarely leave gaps in the schedule and won't bump folks with appts! Great team, super respectful and polite. Fair prices. Quality work. Always my first call for service.
