Not helpful. Car broke down right next to there shop on the road to work, asked the front desk guy if I can have someone look at it to let me know what has happened and if I can fix it soon, the guy straight said we are booked for 2 weeks and have no spots left. Maybe sometime helping someone in needs can be helpful especially when someone's car is broke on the road at rush hour time before his shift.

Got appointment with them for early morning, while getting the appointment the front desk man said even if you are a minute late im gonna take another car and he said this in front of another customer, i didnt have any intentions of being late but i decided not to come, i was even okay with the price he told 98$ for swapping winters.

I've been going to this place for 6 years. Mr. Noel runs a tight ship. The prices are fair and the work is top notch. They've turned down performing unnecessary repairs for me several times when they could have easily scammed me for more money. I trust them for all my maintenance and repairs. If you live in Eastern Passage or nearby you can't do better than Newfie Auto.

Best auto shop in town! If you want great service look no further. I have been going to this shop for many years now and I have never been disappointed. It feels like a small family owned shop. There are so many great things I could write about this great shop, it's people and services they provide but I will write just a few. My first ever encounter with the shop was shortly after I was told I required new brakes from a local mitsubishi dealer for my 2016 RVR. So after I shopped around a bit I found a shop (Harbourside Tirecraft) that would let me bring my own parts in to be put on. I purchased the parts from a dartmouth parts dealer (Big Bargain Auto) for half the dealer price and made my way down to Harbourside. My car was only in the shop for 10 minutes when I was told my vehicle was ready. I thought wow, that was quick. They told me I did not need new breaks and to take the parts I purchased back and there was no charge. Most of us know this does not happen in the auto service industry but I am here to tell you it does. This great service was not a one off either. I moved out of province for a bit last year but was excited when I moved back as now I was able to have access to Harbourside again. Upon my return I was in a brand new mitsubishi eclipse cross 2020. With only 2000 km on it, I was getting a smell of exhaust coming into the cab. I took my car to my trusted shop and had them have a look at it. I know what you might be thinking, it only had 2000 km on it surely it must be covered under warranty. I'll say yes, it probably would have but when I took my car there days before they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I was at Harbourside long when the service rep had a look at my car and noticed something. Straight away he knew it was a warranty issue and called the mitsubishi dealership were he spoke to a manager he knew. Later that week I took my car back to the dealership and the issue was fixed. It seemed there was an issue with a hose being weak that allowed exhaust fumes to enter the car through the vents. Upon my return to NS I had to get my vehicle switched back to NS plates and get it inspected. So naturally I made an appointment with Harbourside. This appointment was particularly touching to me because while I was there recieved the best customer service I have ever had. While talking with the service rep (Barry) it came out I had lost my 28 yr old son two months prior. Barry put his work on hold, he must of seen in my face I needed more than a vehicle inspection. We spoke briefly but it was a conversation I'll never forget. Just before tallying up my bill Barry said to me "if you ever need someone to talk to call me anytime". Yes that's right, a comment like that from a automotive customer service representative is unheard of, but that is the kind of service you get at Harbourside Tirecraft. I'll end by saying thank you Harbourside Tirecraft. Thanks to all the staff for taking great care of me over the years and special thanks to Barry for making me feel like family. Stephen Murphy

I got my winter tires replaced at Harbourside Tirecraft on Nov, 15th 2021. After I paid for tire replacement and balance fee, the front desk person told to me the air pressure may need some balance, because they were too busy, I can drop in later. When I ask him, is it safe to drive, he told me yes and told me it will only cause tire wears unevenly. On Nov, 21st, I blowed out my front tire while driving on a highway at 110 km/h. When I examed tire, it does not have any external damages.Then I stop by on Nov, 22nd and explained the situation, they told me there is nothing they can do and suggested me to go to Canadian Tire since they believe the tires were sold by them and may still have warranty (ties are from previous owner). It turns out to be I will have to buy a pair of new tires at another store. I don't think it is reasonable to blame them for the blowout, but it would be nice to let the customer know what the potential hazard was. For me, I do not think I had a very pleasant experience with them. I attached 2 photos. One is me changing the tires in the highway when it blowed out. The other is the good tire image on the right side which was bought at same time as the left one.

Had an inspection done, needed new brakes and rear wheel bearings. When they swapped the brakes, they were able to tighten the bearings enough they didn't need changing, saving me from paying for more repairs. Great integrity and service.

Great customer service. Cost $92 to get my 16" winter tires installed and balanced on my Jetta.. Most I have ever paid but I'm guessing that's the going rate at a shop in Dartmouth ($20+tax a tire)?. I normally get it done in Halifax for $15 a tire. But Newfie Auto was convenient since it's just 1.5km away from my school campus.
