Great service from this company!! I had a problem and they were able to let me take an air tank.... I may not have the name correct about the device they lent me ...and fill my tire up and bring it in and an hour later they called me to say my tire was fixed. Very reasonable price and great people deal with!! In fact the next week my wife went in and got an oil change done there and a flat repaired. Will go back for sure!!

I bought a used Van and someone attached a metal plate underneath which impeded on the spare tire. It was quite obvious that this made the spare tire install much more difficult. They didn't make a big deal about it they just took care of it for no extra charge.

An exceptional and rewarding experience, Hyack tire is first rate. I had my timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, VVTi camshaft sprocket replaced on my Japanese import in April, 2015. After an oil change that went wrong at one of those quick lube joints I was weary of bad workmanship. From the moment I walked in I felt like I finally found a home to have my vehicle serviced. The big shops and chain shops should look to Hyack Tire to find out what customer service really means. This is a quaint little shop with a small town "ma-and-pa" feel to it. I walked in this morning with a trailer tire that needed to be patched. The service advisor immediately apologized for the wait even though it really wasn't long of a wait. When I came back to pick it up, as I was paying for it ... a service technician had put it in a giant plastic bag so it wouldn't get my trunk dirty, moved it out to my car, and stood by it waiting to help me put it in the trunk. This is not ground-breaking stuff and probably won't lead to world peace. But all this service for the most insignificant repair - a tire patch. It left an impression on me. The technicians seem pretty happy to be there. I'll definitely be coming back and telling others about this place.

I take my car in for regular oil changes (and they never try to go for the outrageous upsells), servicing, and maintenance. Update: I did need to come back. Not only were they able to diagnose my problem but fixed it. In addition, the got me in earlier than anticipated and finished the job quick and painlessly. They even called me it confirm pricing before starting any work. I'm really appreciative of them! Totally worth going. Price is amazing. They will give you an honest trustworthy answer. Really nice shop. Everyone is friendly. Fixed my tire no problem. Was easily able to make an appointment one day in advance. My partner recommended this place based on reviews of honesty and trustworthyness and I would agree with them entirely. I will be coming back if I ever need to!

Being new to the area, I was looking for a shop close to my work. I my first visit today where I got a wheel bearing replaced and 4 new tires for my RAV4. I normally do not give reviews, good or bad, but this experience warrants one. Earlier this month, I made a 10am appointment to change my oil (which I purchased on my own, since it was synthetic, and I did not want them to have to order it). I arrive and I am told that it will take about an hour to fix my car. I come back after an hour and a half, and ask what is the timeline. The agent at the front tells me that she is not sure if they have started on my car and the person that is supposed to be working on it is on lunch, but she believes they have not started to work on it. I have a 1pm appointment to be somewhere, so I give it another hour. At this point it is 12:30 and they have still not begun working on my car. Mind you this was just for an oil change and a basic checkup. Right as I go back in to tell them to cancel the appointment, a mechanic begins to work on my car. I ask him how long he thinks it will be and his reply is: "it will not be any quicker if you stand around". At this point I am appalled, so I leave, cancel my 1pm appointment, and expect to get my car back working within 20-30 minutes. I wait in the waiting room, and wait until 1:50pm to get my keys back. I ended up missing my 1pm appointment, and coming late to my 2pm appointment. Had I known this was to take four hours for an oil change, I would have never booked with this company. No one at any point until the last moment when they asked for payment even acknowledged that this was a long wait. I did not say anything, as I was in shocked leaving, so I figured this would be the avenue to go. I was charged over $50 for an oil change where I brought my own oil, my front light was not changed, which was the only thing I had brought up other than the oil, and worst of all, my car began to shake/rumble since then and has been progressively getting worse, and it has been two weeks since. The mechanic took his time to get the job done and was extremely abrasive. I have never ever had any experience like this in any customer service experience and will not be returning here again, which is a shame since I live only a few blocks away.

Went to this shop because it was more affordable. Has a good experience getting my brakes done and an oil change so I went back for a more serious fix. They don't call when the car is finished, nor do they call to inform you of anything else that they could fix while they have the car on the boost. I took the car in for a clanging sound in the rear end. They replaced the bushings, but then told me that a spring had broken and that was the cause of the clanging, but they DIDN'T fix it while they array had my car then apart! So now I have to take it in again to get the original problem I brought it in for to be fixed. In the end it's going to cost me as much as it would have to just go to the dealership.

Exceptionally great shop! Took my car in after it was turning over but didn't start for a 10 hour period. Turns out it was because I changed my own battery a month ago without the proper tools. My fiance and I have been coming here for a couple years now. The first 3 times, I would get a quote for repairs and compare to 2 other shops. Based on that, we found Hyack was always charging fair market price. The reason I keep coming back and am a loyal customer is not because of the price, but because of the integrity of this place. I have come in with concerns such as whether my brakes needed to be replaced and there have been several instances where they have honestly said "You don't need this done just yet. You can get another few months out of it". They could have easily said that I needed it done and I would have likely just gone with it. They are far from a pushy-sales shop and I feel like they are genuinely looking out for my budget and interests. For that reason, I will always come back here, even if I move out of New Westminster.

I had just picked up my little one from music class with my mom, wife and baby when we noticed hissing air from a rear tire. We were told by a couple that our tire had been slashed. Luckily this shop was nearby and Dave saved the day and assured us everything will be fine. He ordered a replacement tire and had it delivered within a couple days. I had a flat tire, previously I had an extremely bad experience at a different tire shop in New West so I was a little nervous, I went to Hyack Tire and the young lady that worked there explained everything to me about why I would not need to replace all 4 tires due to the type of vehicle and showed me 3 different price range of tires on-line that I could use to put on my vehicle. I greatly appreciated her taking the time to explain everything and saw how helpful and patient she was with the other customers coming in to pick up their cars I booked an apt right then, she got me in the very next morning as well which I appreciated. I am going back this week to make an appointment to get my brakes done!

Great Service. Dropped in without an appointment to get my flat fixed, and they took me in right away. It is crazy busy and hard to park, but they just shuffle cars around and deal with it. Fixed the flat, swapped the spare, and checked all tires for air. Then he put my spare back into the trunk neat and tidy.

Super fast service, I'm very impressed. I dropped in on them when they were just opening on a Saturday asking about a flat repair. "Not a problem" I was told. ???? The wheel wasn't mounted so it made the timing easier, but I know how busy these places can be. Happy with my service experience! David was awesome and mounted my wheel back on when I returned, plus he repaired a plug from an old repair that was supposed to be only temporary. That plug was placed by another tire shop... Total time was about 30 minutes. They have earned my repeat business. Next season when I need new summer tires I will be giving my money to Hyack Tire!

This is the third time I went there. And last. First two experiences were really good. However. Today I needed an oil change, and a check of the water hose for the windshield water pump. I got an "extra", they also replaced my air filter. No thanks, because I am the client and I call for my needs. The lady facing the customer is weird and can burst if you are not careful with her. I don't say you don't go there, just mention carefully what are your needs, and talk nicely to the front desk lady.

Mechanics are really weak and have no knowleges for German cars. He adviced me to replace head gasket(2K job) when actual issue was a bad sensor (for 40$ was fixed in another workshop). Owner is soo rude. I have tried to ask small discount as job wasn't really done but he's really yeld on me and complains on everything. Never again in this garage!!! NEVER!!! Worst expirience...

Have used Hyak tire a number of times since moving back here to New West four years ago, all and good positive experiences, unfortunately until my most recent time in I needing a noise in my front end of my Vehicle tracked down and fixed. I tried to explain in detail where this noise was in my front right wheel area somewhere, The noise when it happened was very loud and definitive. Upon the completion of their road testing and assessment of my situation and they indicated to me that there was a few issues they noticed in the front end of my vehicle. So the work was done amounting to a cost of just under $600 and initially seemed like the problem is fixed. Though it was one of those kind of situations where you only really noticed it a lot at certain times, before too long I realized the problem and noise was totally still there, And I, yes, procrastinated for far too long in going back, me, super busy guy, and knowing this couldn't be a major serious problem such as my wheel falling off or anything like that as they looked all through my front and while fixing the things that they did, so The noise kept happening from time to time and I finally went back in and yes it was over a year later. I wasn't looking for any kind of guarantee or warranty or we fix something for free or anything like that, I was just bringing the vehicle back letting them know what happened previously and could they please find out the problem this time and fix it? What I got from the front desk lady , was kind of getting reamed out for leaving it so long, and her reassurance that when they get a vehicle brought to them with a problem, they test the vehicle to definitively ascertain what the problem is, fix it, and then Road test it to make sure the problem is fixed, in the vehicle is return to the customer. Well they missed it whatever it was, and the problem and the noise was still there. Again not expecting any kind of fix or repair for free just wanted to return it and get them to fix the real actual problem this time, happy to pay whatever it is. The front desk lady to me was very unprofessional and way too overbearing and though she said she was listening to me when I was trying to explain, I know she really wasn't listening or caring what I said, all I was getting was serious attitude from this lady, Some little things with some vehicles, are just kind of a strange thing that takes time to work out and I understand this, and I am a reasonable guy, I am 63 years old, and have experienced some things like this before in life, but I definitely do not appreciate being treated like this and will find another mechanic repair place to fix the issue on my vehicle, and I hope Hyak tire will learn from this experience as well.

I've dealt with Hyack three times now I think. Two services and one tire issue. I've always found them really pleasant to deal with, really easy to talk to on the phone, always smiling when I come in and always good service. I just got my vehicle back from a leaking axle seal, and they came in at almost half of what they quoted plus they cleaned my tire for me. I very rarely give full marks on these but I honestly don't know what would be better than Hyack. I would go out of my way to tell people how good this place is, based on what I've experienced.

These guys are solid. I brought my vehicle in to fix a slow tire leak and they took care of it no problem. The tires were bad, so I bought a new set of four and they got me a good deal for it. I had also been told by another company that my diff fluid was dirty and needed full replacement. These guys checked and said it was full and clean, saved me about $700. Great stuff Hyack!

Wonderful place for tires! Highly recommended by John, the super-mechanic from BCAA. I'd gone over something on the road at night and 2 tires, no less, were flat as pancakes. I was hooped and had no idea where to go for tires where I wouldn't get taken for a ride (pun not intended) because I was a woman. Along comes my mechanic in a shining BCAA truck and raves about Hyack. We drop the car off there then and that's???? where I've been doing business since. Hyack never pressured me to buy this or that tire, which I really appreciated. I don't have an unlimited budget, so it was great to have the tire prices and moderate advice laid out for me. Thank you, Hyack! They did the work as promised, no extra charges, and the car was ready on time. There are also free tire rotations every so many kilometres. I'm really happy with Hyack, happy not to be taken advantage of in the pricey world of car maintenance, happy with a business that deals honestly with all of its clientele! Hyack even did the unthinkable last week: they fixed my first flat for free. Wow! It's Christmas, and it really felt like a present. It's hard to find a good deal these expensive days. Hyack, for my money, delivers and are an example for other businesses to follow.

Called and talked with Kelly to inquire about replacing the wheel studs on my car. She asked pointed questions multiple times until she got the answers she needed about the safety of my car. I really appreciated her questions for a person who knows only bare basics about cars. They didn't start work until they gave me a quote and got my approval. My car was fixed quickly and for a very reasonable price. Very happy customer and would definitely go back.

Very good prices and very quick service. They are also very honest. I asked them to change my coolant while getting other work done because another quicky oil change place said it needed to be changed. Hyack tire said it did NOT need to be changed and that it was good for another year or so. They could have easily just done it and squeezed the extra money out of me, but they were honest and told me the truth.
