Great family business
Huge thanks to these guys, especially Lucas. Traded my brz for my dream car. They really pulled some strings for me to get the car I wanted. Definitely gonna buy another car here. Real easy guys to deal with. This is my second car buying through these guys. Would recommend stopping in if you're in the used car market.
Very friendly staff and fair and honest service and pricing. I usually do my own work, but when I need the services of a shop, I go here.
Andy, Matt and the team at York are second to none!....Recently bought a SUV from them for my wife and we couldn't be happier! Being that it was a long distance transaction (we're from Montreal) naturally we're nervous, but the SUV arrived as described and could not be happier!!! THANKS ANDY!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!
Reliable service. You can trust these folks.
There's a reason the York Auto lot is always full of cars that belong to the car enthusiasts in Fredericton. York has the most trusted and knowledgeable mechanics in the city. Stop taking your cars to the dealerships!
One employee at this place needs a course on politeness or customer service .not satisfied with their attitude..went to have a window checked to see if they could pull it up..told it would take 1 1/2 hours and at 10:15 an hour after the appt he said they did not have the time and were busy. When I looked on the appt board only 3 slots were filled!
Took my vehicle here to get serviced, never again. Tried to overcharge me and ended up causing more problems that Honda had to fix.
I bought a 2009 mini cooper clubman JCW for 10000$. A month down the road the engine bay caught fire due to a leaking oil line and a faulty o2 sensor which shouldn't of been a issue from the get go. I got them to fix it. They did a bad job left oil residue all over the engine and left the car very dirty. Also found that the customer service was good at first but then one day they blew on me and said something along the lines of " don't piss me off I'm the mechanic who's working on your car." This to me was like a threat and not very professional. I also got my car back and they charged me for fixing the o2 sensor yet that same o2 sensor code came back and now I have a problem with the circuit for that o2 sensor and I did not have a issue with the circuit before. All in all I would never buy a car from them again nor will I ever take a car to them to get it fixed. One star. Bad place in my opinion. Would not recomend.
Great service with good prices
I've been to York a lot recently and every time they've pulled through. I had an older car that began to run into issues and they were always able to get me in quickly and get the work done as fast as they could, doing what I needed when I needed it. Unfortunately the last set of issues I ran into was just more than I wanted to deal with, so I headed over to the sales department to look at buying a used Subaru, and within 2 days I brought it home. At the sales department, Mike and Lucas are fantastic, transparent, and work quickly, and in the service department everyone is fantastic. I really cannot recommend York Auto enough.
Always great service!
Owning a car is expensive. No one is disputing that. The worst thing a car owner can do, however, is to avoid routine maintenance like oil changes and alignments! The people at York Auto have been fantastic in the two years I have been coming here, and I credit Andy personally with finding and fixing an elusive persistent misfire on a car that a less competent mechanic may have run from: an eighteen year old Volvo that had sat for some time. When the time came for me to upgrade to a twelve year old Volvo, there was no one else I would consider buying from. Their service rates are on the low end of the spectrum for the market, and although you may have to wait a week to get in, it is well worth your time and loyalty to go to a quality service garage. I'm always given the choice of what needs to be prioritized for my next visit, and an $80 alignment six months ago may have saved me $650+ in new tire costs. Your life is in the hands of the people responsible for the machinery you drive.
Expensive compared to the shop I go to in Ottawa. Supply and demand increases price paid. But they are good.
Service staff are great and the costs are reasonable.
My family members have all bought cars here and I just bought one They are a great place to deal with and very friendly.
Reasonable rates and good technicians! Plus, one of the only places in Fredericton able to fix A\C issues.
York Auto is one of the best shops I've been to in over 35 years of owning cars. Most recently we had an issue on a car where 2 different dealers for that car had got the diagnosis completely wrong and wanted to write off the engine. That didn't sit well with me and so I dropped by and described the problems to the guys at York and without hesitation they suggested what the problem might be. Without even seeing the car, they had nailed the diagnosis and they turned out to be exactly right. Instead of a $2500 fix it was less than $200. Their bills are always fair and reasonable, and they will get all my work forever.
Terrible service. Sold us a truck that had a lot of problems in the middle of the pandemic. They claimed the truck had no issues. We got the issues fixed, they wouldn't reimburse. Do not trust this dealer to be honest with you. We paid them $500.00 to have the vehicle shipped, next thing you know, we're getting a bill for $287.00 from the towing company. Stay as far away as possible from this dealer.
The staff at this place are fantastic.
This past spring I bought brand new, very expensive tires from York Auto. On September 17, only 5 months after buying the tires, I brought my car in again for the annual inspection. The car passed inspection and I was told my car was in perfect condition. The individual at the counter actually remarked that my car was in fantastic shape, and I took note of that because we'd had some recent issues with it and I was happy to hear that all looked well. A couple of days ago, my husband took my five month old tires off my car to put the winter tires on. The tires were worn to the point where they should have failed an inspection. He took out the winter tires out - same ware pattern, but not as worn. So, in the spring when they took my winter tires off they were noticeably, unevenly worn. The mechanic at York Auto didn't think to say anything when he put my new tires on; instead they just put my new, $370 a piece tires on without even considering mentioning that there was a problem causing uneven ware on my tires. So, they knew there was a problem that caused uneven tire wear, didn't mention it, put brand new tires on, and now I'm out two tires from a brand new set. The response from York Auto was terrible; first they claim checking tire wear is not part of the inspection. Bull. He later agreed that yeah, checking tire wear is integral to passing inspection. Then the counter guy says he doesn't check over all his mechanics work so it's not his problem. Then they try to say it must have been a recent problem, when we can look at the winter tires that they took off and see the same pattern and were not informed. Zero customer satisfaction, zero customer service, poorly done inspection passing a car with tires that are down to the wear bars. Then he went so far as to point out that I'd had front end work done somewhere else and act put out that I didn't bring my vehicle to York to get the work done. I live 30 kms away so if my car can't safely be driven on the highway to York Auto, I'm going to get the work done somewhere close to home. He also tried to claim that I made an appointment for an alignment and then didn't show up. Not true; the appointment was for tomorrow, not last week. I had trusted York Auto. I had recommended them to everyone who I heard ask about where to get work done. Now I'm out money, tires, and a garage I thought I trusted.
I have purchased 2 vehicles int the past from York Auto/ salesman Lucas Dicarlo; a Mazda Speed6, and a Subaru Legacy. Each purchase was easy and painless. Recently my sister was in the market for a used Subaru. I recommended Luc / York Auto who were able to beat all of the competitors on price on the vehicle she had been looking at elsewhere in town. Of the three purchases I have experience no issues with York Auto or any of their employees. Most of my direct family have new vehicles covered by warranty, however; for any vehicles not covered by warranty we all use York Auto for vehicle service. During each service we have all been well taken care of. I would and do recommend York Auto for anyone looking for a used vehicle or for any repair work. - L DOYLE
Awesome service, saved my bacon in -18 degrees, when my battery died. Thanks!
Great service for my high performance BMW. Honest, on time and knowledgeable. Always right with the quoted price. I trust them with my aftermarket upgrades and I respect their recommendations.
Excellent service!
I visit NAPA with Check Engine warning and after they scanned there is 4 Errors .. I asked repair it waste 500 CAD and error not removed .. visit Napa have 4 errors and when i left i have 10 errors and more issues .. unfortunately i thought it's a professional place
Professionnal, fast, honest, affordable and reliable service. I had a very positive experience with those guys when my battery needed to be replaced. They also checked the starter and alternator to be sure everything else was fine. I surely will go back at that place! Thanks Nick and your team!
Was recommended to get my service done here. I had a loud noise coming from the engine and it turned out to be a loose power steering pump. They fixed it within an hour or so and it only cost like 30$. I'll definitely be back.
I'm going to be as reasonable as I can for this and not let their unprofessionalism and word move my opinion, however, this must be told. I have given them enough time to come up with a solution. My fiancé and I bought 2014 RAM 1500 (6 years old) with 140,000 on it from here before Christmas. Due to COVID-19, we were unable to go over to Fredericton from PEI to see it, so we took the dealers word on everything and paid full sticker price as it was a reasonable deal comparing it to others on the market. For the most part, they were awesome. Hats off to Mike and Lucas at the beginning. Awesome guys to deal with and they were easy to deal with at the beginning. I haven't really dealt with Mike other than one phone call, so we can leave him out of the rest of this. We were told everything was mechanically sound. There were some small body dents such as on the tailgate and on the fender from a rock. This was NOT a big deal to me. The truck is 6 years old; I wasn't expecting perfection. It hasn’t moved much since I bought it either as we have other vehicles. Fast forward to the day I got the truck off the tow truck. It was shined up, detailed and it was everything they said. Sadly, the inspection wasn't included with the sale for some odd reason and I have still not got it after I requested it to be scanned to me. Not a big deal. I took the truck to a local auto shop and they inspected the truck. Upon inspection, they found out that one fog light was out, a ball joint had some play and 2 of the manifold studs were completely broken off. Not a big deal to me again, I sound like a broken record. I was planning on putting LED's in it and the ball joint wasn't expensive. However, the manifold, I was completely upset with. I contacted Lucas, told him about it and gave him a quote. We agreed on a price but after complications with replacing it, it did come to more. I then contacted him back through email. He called me right away, he said he'd talk to Andy (the owner) and get back to me, this was a Friday. We never heard from Andy until 1.5 weeks later. It wasn’t a huge deal as we understand Christmas was around the corner and we didn’t want to be huge bother. About a week after getting the truck inspected, I noticed the driver's side was not getting any heat whatsoever and was blowing cold air. I took it to another reliable auto shop where my mother-in-law works, and they determined it was the blend door actuator. The blend door actuator was indeed faulty, but we faced a bigger problem, the heater core. The heater core replacement is not cheap with labor. We're talking over $1,000. We notified Lucas, and he did not sound very happy about it. I didn't care, they just sold us a truck with problems they never told us about. Andy called up my fiancé's mother as we've both been extremely busy with the business and notified her that Lucas didn't tell her the extent of the details which is very unprofessional. He did send the heater core through NAPA but is currently still refusing to pay for labor. I never received a dime of my money back from the manifold either, which we agreed on earlier. The owner is very rude and said my fiancé's mother fabricated the quote, which she didn’t. She was indeed giving them a deal compared to a local Dodge dealership. I was personally going to take my business here through my own business as we do like to add to our fleet. After this encounter, I will not be taking anymore of my personal business or company's business to this dealership. They have been nothing but terrible after we faced problems not even a week after owning this vehicle. Yes, I understand the truck is 6 years old. However, we were told that everything was mechanically sound, and we would face no problems. I am now discussing options with our lawyers and we will be fully involving the New Brunswick DMV into this. This is completely unacceptable to happen to buyer.
Had a really bad experience Left my car to repair oil leak, when i went back to take the car, back bumper was hit and now car had major issues, car started missing, making weird noise from engine and also when driving, engine light on, traction control light on but somehow removed the traction control light.
Great guys very knowledgeable staff.willing to go the extra mile.
York Auto is Awesome Was looking for second vehicle, & knew we wanted to purchase a pre-owned car, so we did some research & came across York Auto in Fredericton. It was Sunday but we decided to drive up from Saint John to take a look anyway. I found a vehicle I liked, so my husband said he was going to call when they were open. Now at the time he called the sales person had stepped out & wasn’t available but rather than tell us to call back, the young man from the office Lucas discussed the vehicle with my husband. He was so helpful. We haven’t had a used vehicle in quite some time so I was nervous about not knowing the dealer, & having no manufacturer warranty left but Lucas was AWESOME!, . He answered all of our questions, provided information we asked for, & was flexible with our work schedules. We felt totally confident with this dealer, our purchase & would recommend York Auto to anyone looking for a pre-owned vehicle. You’ll be glad you did. J&C Cook
York Auto RULES! We have used York Auto off an on over the years and they are SUBURB! My "Senior" XC70 was in for repair after having taken "Him" to two-three other places. York found the grating noise within 5 seconds of taking it for a test drive. We ask for an itemized list of other repairs that "Vinnie" needs and I was surprisingly happy at how thorough and reasonable their quotes are!!! Very Happy and My "Vinnie" will ONLY go to York from here on in!!!! They excel in Volvo repairs! Thanks Nick and all The Gang! Gail E. Doon
York Auto sales is by far the best dealership in New Brunswick. Andy the owner of York Auto cares about his business and is extremely professional. Mike and Lucas on the sales team were great to deal with. I was always greeted with friendly smiles and their great sense of humour. They give you their honest opinion and treated me with respect. Lucas went above and beyond finding the right car to suit my needs/wants at the best price possible. I wasn’t an easy customer to please with my high expectations, but York Auto exceeded them. I highly recommend giving this team of professionals the opportunity to help you find the right vehicle for your everyday needs. Thanks guys you’ll see me again in the future!
I had a great experience with York Auto when I bought my first Subaru! I wasn't sure what was the right fit for me, and they helped me navigate the options I was torn between (Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Outback). Being a student with a fixed budget, car sales can be intimidating. The staff made it look easy to explore options within my price range and didn't pressure me to go over my budget. They were honest and realistic when doing this too. The Forester I ended up choosing even had my bonus wish for a sunroof! They serviced my car as part of the price, so it was ready for the road. I'll be using York Auto for a tune-up and service before a drive across Canada I'll be making soon. Thanks again.
Bought a car from here not long ago, works great. Sales team was GREAT!!!!
This auto shop is expensive and the employees are not polite.
About a month ago, we purchased a BMW X5 from Lucas at York auto sales. This is the 5th vehicle we have bought from a dealership and by far the best experience we have ever had; he was very knowledgeable, informative, understanding and not pushy in the least. We started the process with lots of boxes to be checked off and lucas was able to accommodate all of them. Would highly recommend York auto sales to anyone! We went in looking for a vehicle and left with a vehicle, good deal, and friendship! Will be purchasing from them from now on!
I purchased both of my Subaru’s from York auto. Not only a great sales team but an excellent service station
Service alesys professional
Bought my most recent vehicle here, highly recommend.
My experience at York Auto was fantastic. First time customer. My wife and I can't say enough about the service that we were given. The front counter staff we're awesome. We would recommend York Auto 100%.
We purchased a vehicle from this company back a few months ago, all was good at the time of purchase. It had a recent inspection before we purchased it and we was told it was a great vehicle. After 3000 kms over 2 months, the inside was worn off both rear tires and the transmission started slipping . Took it for a second opinion and was told it had a terrible rear alignment issue and badly worn out parts and needed parts replaced and possibly transmission replacement at a cost of $4000.. I spoke to someone there about it and they basically said they only offer a 30 day warranty and have a nice day. I will NEVER be back to this shop ever again. Very rude customer service after the sale, no offer to even help diagnose problems. Stay away from this York Auto in Fredericton. From what I understand they buy worn vehicles for low prices , fix only what needs fixing to make a sale and then resell it. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM !! HEARING LOTS OF NEGATIVE STORIES ALSO AROUND TOWN ABOUT THEIR SHODDY WORK AS WELL AND RIPOFF PRICES!!!
I recently purchased a used car from York Auto after months of searching and test driving vehicles from other dealerships. These guys were by far the most friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and professional. They gave me a great deal on a quality used vehicle and were very helpful throughout the whole process. I highly recommend checking out York Auto if you are looking for a new vehicle!
Best used car sales in Fredericton and best car service work.
Very impressed with the service I received today. They had to import a MAP sensor from Germany and did so within 10 days at no extra cost to myself. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently and within the quoted price. Honest, reliable and friendly. Can’t ask for much more. Highly recommended.
Great service and sales team! I've purchased both of my vehicles through York and they are the only place I take them to be serviced. I highly recommend them!
I have been going to York Auto since 2004. I have bought lots of cars from York. A great company and guys. Keep up the super sales and service!!
Great customer service. Matt is awesome to deal with & very accommodating.
Buying used can sometimes be a little unsettling for some, however I've bought 3 used vehicle from York Auto. In those 3 experiences, I've felt comfortable spending the cash on something used, also at a great savings compared to new. You can trust the sales department on pricing and knowledge about vehicles. The boys out back are awesome mechanics, and seem to know they're way around just about anything. Great service ! Great staff. I won't be going anywhere else.
I changed my fan here and they did a great job. The only thing that I’m sort of disappointed is that they gave me two different quotes. when I made the appointment, I got a quote of $140 +tax (including the fan and labor). But when I picked up my car, another employee told me that the total price was about $180. But at the end, he gave me a discount on that fan and charged me $150 which is acceptable. Overall, the service is good enough and employees are friendly.
Always a good experience
Very good service from the staff, got my Volvo fixed up which went in with a faulty brake switch, leaky fuel and misfiring engine Came out driving like new! Price is good.
do not trust these guys with ur installations. owner is also rude and unprofessional. says he cares about his customers but didnt want to fix their mistake
great experience, great sales team, helped me with my recent purchase!
After dealing with many other dealerships in the city, we purchased our first Volvo in 2008 from Andrew because of how genuinely knowledgeable he is with not only Volvos and Subarus but with all makes and models. We have purchased and had all of our vehicles maintained at York auto ever since that day. They have saved us thousands of dollars by simply taking the extra step that very few repair stations are willing to do. Andrew is an excellent entrepreneur, mechanic and all around good guy. I have always and will always recommend York auto service to everybody I know because I have seen first hand how well Andrew, Lyle and Robert treat customers. They are always straight shooters with the utmost respect for anybody who walks through their doors and always take pride in their work.
This review is long overdue but I want to point out that this is a great place to buy a vehicle. I dealt with Mike Hewitson and bought a 2016 Corolla S for my wife in April, 2020. At the time, every dealership in Fredricton I went to was handling Covid restrictons as best they could but unfortunately were not using common sense. The only way for me to drive anything was to purchase it first which is a huge gamble anyone with a brain would not take. I never met Mike or any of the staff from York but they very safely accommodated every simple request I had for me to confidently buy the car. When I picked up the car, I left the bank draft in my trade-in then hopped in the Corolla and drove away. Almost two years later and the car has not skipped a beat. Thanks Mike and the staff at York for the best vehicle purchase I have ever experienced.
Very good service
I fully trust them with my vehicle
Professional and knowledgeable. Why haven't I known about these guys before? A great experience and my new garage. They came to me at a recommendation from a very experienced (30+ years) mechanic friend (turned salesmen). I guess we all get old. (????) and the most convenient location for me.
