This has got to be the worst business I have ever dealt with in my entire life!! Customer service is non existent and to be honest I was treated extremely rudely! I wouldn't deal with these jokers if they worked on my car for free! Howard has no clue whatsoever how to treat customers, NONE! There are far too many good service centres that would be appreciative of your business to give these people your hard earned money!

Not impressed at all???? Was recommended to go to them - had some of the work “I needed” done and then waited to get the remainder done as I couldn’t afford it all at one time. Ended up taking it to a friend who is an experienced mechanic to do for me with parts I bought on my own. (Too save myself the labour costs) When he went to to the work he didn’t do it because there was nothing wrong!!! Saved myself a ton of money but feel scammed!!! Not even sure now if the first part of the job even needed to be done!????

I've been dealing with Howard for a number of years. He is quite knowledgeable and works within your budget. A nice clean office and waiting area with Keurig coffee and a TV on CP24. You can buy the same tires anywhere—the difference is the service! The technicians are always polite and courteous and they know their trade.

For over 17 years now, MTC has been the first place I go for tires, and ALL non-warranty mechanical work on my 7 vehicles over that time. I'm not easy to please, as I’m price sensitive and have high quality and service expectations. Howie, Matt and the team never let me down. I moved from Oakville to Toronto to Niagara, but still travel back to Oakville for MTC's services to my vehicles. It's well worth it.

What a joke. Rude, uninterested, and dishonest would be the best way to describe owner Howard and MTC Tire. Tried numerous times to jack prices upon paying after quotes were approved at a lesser cost. Oakville has many places to get your tires changed. MTC is a terrible choice as one of them.

I was in Oakville visiting family and had noticed a bad vibration in the front end on the highway. Stopped in to MTC Tire to have things checked and they found a defective tire. I knew all 4 were really due for replacement so I decided to get new ones all around. MTC was friendly, quick, clean and helpful in selecting the best replacement tires...great prices too! I have been to MTC tires twice in the past few years. Once to purchase a set of snow tires and the second time for a repair. I found the service to be excellent on both occaissions. I appreciated Howard explaining to me what my options were with regards to the snow tires. He helped me find the right balance between quality and price. The tire repair was also quick and easy. He fit me in the same day and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. As a small business owner myself I understand the importance of good customer service. Both Donna and Howard realize this as well and it shows with every interaction I have had with them to date.

I dropped my car off for a routine tire change and rotation (March 17, 2015), bill was $100+tax, no problem there. When I picked my car up it smelled of burned clutch, when I spoke with the service manager Alex, he confirmed that it smelled of burned clutch and spoke with the mechanic who worked on my car. The mechanic admitted to driving my car, and taking it for a joy ride where he drove it hard. Alex confirmed with me that he issued a warning to the mechanic and that if it happened again the mechanic would be 'fired'. This action is not relevant to my case, but exemplifies how seriously they approached the situation. Alex called me (March 18, 2015) to inform me that they would pay for a portion of the clutch replacement. Considering their admitted liability, I requested that they pay for all, and Alex requested that I provide an estimate. Estimate was ~$5,000 from both Audi dealer and Audi specialist. I spoke with Alex and he said he would have to speak to the owner (Howard) about this amount. Howard called me (March 20, 2015) and informed me that MTC tire would not be paying for anything and did not admit liability. Howard was not present at the business on the day of service and has no knowledge of the event, except for what he was told by Alex and the mechanic. Howard was very inconsistent with his knowledge of the facts and refused to honour the commitments and statements made by his employees. The employee statements were made to me, in person and on phone, in front of other witnesses who confirm my perspective on these events.

I spoke w/ Howard a month ago and he gave me a quote of $1230 out the door for 4 winter tires. I called today to reserve an appt and he claimed the quote he gave me he had no record of and that the best price he could do now was $1380. I can understand you may not have a record of a conversation from 1 month ago but I honestly advised what I had written down and he said "well anyone could write down that I said its only going to cost 50 bucks". I dont think he's a bad guy but he was a bit unprofessional and rude on the phone and maybe he was just having a bad day. To anyone out there, ask for a written quote to have the price you discuss honoured. Best of luck.

I had 4 wheels alignment there, work was done properly. However, they charged extra $60 plus tax after the work is done because my car is German car and a bit difficult to adjust. Looks like they don’t stick with the price from quote/web(139 plus tax). In the end, the cost for me is the same as dealerships, if I knew this, I would not go there.

Great service at a great price. I dropped off my rims earlier in the week. When I came later in the week, they were able to get me out in less than 30 minutes. I had Michelin Pilot AS 3+ installed for much less than what the dealer quoted. This is the third set of tires that we have bought from them. I would highly recommend them.

Great shop. Probably the best within 100 km radius. I went to some other shops in oakville and they all always try to sell you unnecessary things and have all been dishonest about something (work done, pricing, etc). This is the only shop where everyone here is honest and work well. They do everything here (selling parts, maintenance, tire balancing, etc) and they have competitive pricing. I do work on my own cars, but whenever I need something done I cannot do, this is the only shop I go to. Thanks guys

I thought this was a loyal and honest company so I brought my tires here and was left with a disaster on my hands. The son should not be working here very mouthy and rude. It means nothing to them to take care of their customers. The owners son just swears at you as a result of their guilt and shotty workmanship. I will not be giving them any future business or referring them to anyone in the Halton area. Go somewhere else if you want quality workmanship. You won't get that here. Nor will they offer to compensate you when they have created the issue.

was quoted price for specific service alignment, price went up by 50 percent, picked up car and explained to owner I was willing to pay but would like him to hear my opinion from customer perspective. short conversation, Howard then said I was lucky any other shop would have charged double. I asked don't you care if customers returned for service, basically said he didn't need my service he has lots of customers. then his wife basically shooed me out of showroom. went back in because I didn't get keys, asked politely and said thank you. he wouldn't even say your welcome. very unprofessional. we all have bad days, but I wont recommend this place. an I will even tell friends and family to stay away.

I visited MTC tire a few weeks ago and their service was absolutely amazing. The staff was pleasant and the sales representative (Alex) was extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated the type professionalism rarely seen in today's auto service industry. I started feeling strong vibrations in my wife's car. My fear was that she had a broken engine mount or a potentially expensive and/or dangerous problem. Naturally, I immediately told her not to drive it and began calling auto shops in the Oakville area. That is when I came across MTC tire. They seemed the most concerned about my situation and truly sounded as if they understood my fears of having my wife drive an unfit vehicle. Alex told me they would work around my schedule. I basically told them to just fix my car even though I knew most auto shops would see this as an opportunity to raise prices or even start creating problems that didn't exist. MTC tire on the other hand did the opposite. They told me that the issue wasn't as bad as I thought and that I merely needed to change the back suspension, which even though was a costly repair was far less than I thought it might have been. They also made sure to advise me that the front suspension looked good and that the overall condition of the car was good. To cut this long story short, I was thrilled with the quality of their service. Also, it was truly a pleasure dealing with an Auto Shop that cared, was friendly, and went the extra mile to work around my schedule during the busy tire season. I will now be recommending them to all my friends and will be using them for all my tire and car repair needs.

Bought a set of Nokian winter tyres here three years ago. Have since referred a number of people to MTC but will no longer do so. Suspect success has gone to their head and / or they are simply coasting on their reputation. Don't bother to answer the phone, Very cavalier attitude when you visit them - as in I don't need your business kind of attitude. Well, I don't need your attitude either!

At the beginning of Dec 2015, I purchased four Nokian HAK R2's and winter rims (rally style, not just the black steel rims). I had a terrible experience last year at another tire centre in Oakville with vibrations and ended up returning the rims and tires. Howard explained that it was likely they were using centric rings with the rims and suggested specific rims that were hub centric. Problem solved! While the winter wasn't too bad, I am thrilled with the HAK tires and rims. Howard also convinced me it would be fine you go down from 20" to 17". He was right on both counts. I went back to Howard 2 weeks ago to put new all season tires on and swap out the winters. I do a ton of driving. I settled on Michelin Premier LXT's. These tires have been great. They are way better than the Pirelli's that came with the vehicle. Smoother, quieter, and just a better ride and handling. I appreciated Howard's recommendations, service and professional approach. I hardly ever do testimonials, but I was compelled to do so because it was night and day from my other experience. I have already recommended MTC to other people.

Never been here before, the moment I arrived I was greeted by enthusiastic mechanics, they took my truck for a spin, 10min later it was up on a hoist within 25min they had diagnosed the issue and given me a quote for parts and labour. Since it was end of day they couldn't repair it on spot, I drove away without even getting charged for service. Would a non family-owned business ever do that!!!?? Needless to say they have won over my business and I will head back there to complete the repair!

As someone who is very protective over their cars, who would opt work on their own cars whenever possible and who parks in the absolute furthest corner of parking lots- I can tell you that I trust the folks at MTC Tire Oakville with my cars. Howie is the straight-talking, knowledgeable car guru who makes appropriate and honest recommendations. Donna is the most personable, chipper person you'll likely ever meet. Beware Rising Quotes!! Was getting a part replaced here instead of my regular auto shop since MTC was at a convenient location. The first quote was slightly high but not too bad. When i came to pick up my car they told me there's a problem and it was going to take twice as long as expected due to my cars model. they raised the quote 40% or so. I didnt want to deal with it so i agreed. I came back to drop my car and someone else there quoted me another 40% higher for the same thing. This is when i decided to take it to my trusted auto shop and they had the job done in less than half the time and 1/3 of the price... Would never go back to MTC.

This will be my first negative review. I will just say this. I asked how much it would cost to change my alternator on a 2008 Lexus IS 250 and they said it would be close to $1,000. That is more than the dealership by 100%. I know this is a tire shop but they said they do mechanics as well. I disagree with your response only because I was not asking you to diagnose anything. I was asking how much it would be to replace my alternator. If you had done it before which you mentioned the price should be pretty standard like other mechanics. If you do not believe me call any other Oakville shop and see how fast they give you a quote. Or call Canadian Tire.

Very impressed with their service and shop! I called to inquire about changing out 1 tire and Howard said they were booked up for the next 2 and a half weeks. I asked if there was anyway I could get in sooner if I brought the 1 tire and rim off my car separately and he was able to squeeze me in that day. Great first experience and I will definitely be back!
