Visited them for a flat repair after seeing the high review ratings on google. They are Friendly, efficient and professional - no complaints on that. The flat repair costs $35 but they charged me $72 because it was not a nail but a leaking valve. I paid up without a question but then I checked online - this work doesn't deserve more than $20-30 (see pictures) not sure why they charged me $72. It has $60 for valve and $4 for labor and rest are taxes.

From top to bottom, the staff at Johnston & Magwood take care of my car perfectly every time. I always feel at home and confident working with their staff. They also offer fair and competitive rates on all services. Definitely a staple auto vendor in the heart of Mississauga! Shaun (Sean/Shawn?) usually helps me and is a great asset to their team. I once had my tires changed at Canadian Tire. Whatever kid they assigned to my car overtightened my bolts by over 50 psi. Needless to say I'm never going there again.

Johnston and Magwood... wow you guys are amazing! My experience was really enjoyable and satisfying. When I first called I spoke to Shawn, I told him that I was looking for 17" rims for my 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4 x 4. Shawn explained that it would be best to come down since they had a wide assortment of rims to choose from. Upon arrival I met up with Shawn who was very professional and patient from the get go. He helped me choose the right rim based on my criteria, ie. style, budget, size and so forth. The price was also very affordable. He also help me choose a set of BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain all season tires to go with the new rims. I must say Shawn knows his stuff! When all was said and done the tires and rims looked fabulous! Wicked! Sic! The wow factor went through the roof! I was really happy with how my SUV looked. The General Manager Saul made sure everything was going smoothly and in a timely fashion. He was very friendly and upbeat regardless of how busy he was. The technicians Orellana and Marlon were very professional and helpful. They made sure that I had all my tires installed properly to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. Even though it was closing time, they took their time to explain how the tuner style nuts work, what type of equipment was required to remove the nuts, proper storage of the key and proper maintenance for the rims. Everyone went above and beyond the call of duty. Driving home was a blast! Thank you Shawn for making my experience at Johnston and Magwood a memorable one. Thanks you everyone at Johnston and Magwood. Now I can't wait to get rims and tires for the Chrysler 300C!

OVERPRICED!!!! Visited this place three years in a row now. Been getting my winter tires and summer tires changed here. However, during my most recent visit. I felt like the price they charge is overpriced now. My old car had low profile 19" rims and I was usually charged about $130 ish. Recently I've been charge around $250 to get my winter tires changed on to my new car for my 20" rims. $50 per tire to swap on winters. On top of that they also charge you for nitrogen to fill the tires and weights. This is so overpriced for an outside shop. As for buying tires from them. Buying tires here is not any cheaper then other places and may even be pricier. Overall, They do an okay job. But it's not worth waiting in that line and paying that price when you can pay same or even less by going to the dealer. The dealer quoted me for only $200+ tax. I was expecting this place to be at least less than dealer pricing. Would not recommend. Better off going to your dealership !

Prices OK, definitely not anywhere near wholesale/discounted in terms of their product line, however they only really stock the more reliable and commonly known tire lines (didn't look at wheel selection) labour cost on point and speed of service/friendliness definitely a huge plus

18" tire on a VW rim, deflated.. I came in, no waiting, they fixed it, 40$.. quick service, knowledgeable staff, they told me whats going to be done and cost prior to doing it.. waiting area has a full view of the shop so you can watch ur car while you wait too..highly recommend!

I don’t know where to begin, I been customer at this shop for over 10years, never had any issues before But ever since the new owners toke over, well you be the judge, I brought in 2 of my most expensive rims In the market to do a tire change and balance I brought my own tires and I made sure I told the staff in the back to please extra carefull with these rims, result * Machine marks was left on the rims edge after 2 hours of buffing and waxing the wheels thank god it came off not completely but it’s not visible unless you stair at them, *one of the wheels was missing the valve stem cap so now I have a miss match cabs * I was At There shop 6month ago for the same work but different rims I was charged for 2 tires change over with balance $50 which it’s not bad, this time I was charged $101.00 for the same job , that’s bad $50 per rime mount a tire and balance that’s disappointing. For The prices they charged you would think they will update there tirs equipment. *will I go back again, unfortunately No, time to look for new tire shop, it’s really disappointing they are only around the corner where I live but it’s is what it is * both the front and the back staff are well mannered I give them that .

Recommend checking this place out for superior rim repair before spending the money on a brand new one. I got a large gauge in one of my rims from debris on the highway, checked a few shops and was told no one could fix it. Finally found Johnston and Magwood, they fixed it up and I can't even tell where the damage was done! Attached some before photos to show they can fix much more than your typical dent.

A bunch of liars. They charged me $45 extra for installation of winter tires from the previous year. I did not change vehicles, or tires from the previous winter installation. I asked them "Did you increase prices from last year, cause my information is in their computer system?" Bold face lie, straight to my face they said "No". Well i found the receipt today and know that you are dishonest. Taking my business elsewhere. You're not the only tire place in town. If you like to be lied to straight to your face. GO HERE, and enjoy being punked of your money.

First time at this place was on a Saturday. I arrived 15 minutes before opening and there were already seven cars ahead of me. I understand why after going through my wheel change. I came in with many requests: put on my new rims onto new summer tires (the latter of which I bought through J&M); completely dispose of my winter rims and tires; dispose of my old summer tires from my old rims, and give my old rims back for me to store; and finally, transfer my old TPMS sensors onto my new wheel set-up. Not only were the salespeople and mechanic working on my car very understandable and professional, they were quick and did everything without any qualms. They did everything I asked for quickly and efficiently - all while being greatly priced and with an amazing warranty for the tires I purchased through them. Highly recommend others to check this place out if they are looking for a place to deal with their wheel inquiries.

I have stored my winter tires at the Mississauga location for the past 3 years. Every time I have been there for tire replacement, the service has been excellent. The staff are friendly and very polite. The customer waiting and reception areas are very comfortable and clean and were very well prepared during the COViD situation. I can put up with the line ups in the fall when everyone goes at the last minute to get the winter tires on, because I do not wish to go anywhere else! Thank you guys!

I joined the lineup at 1:15 pm on Wednesday and drove out at 4:20 p.m. Where is the customer service e.g. Longer hours at this time of year to accommodate the demand? Always very good service for changing all season tires to winter and back again in spring. First come first served. They know their stuff and listen to your requests. Because you see the mechanic who changes your tires when you enter the garage with your car, you can ask him to change the valve stems, and he does. This may seem small but if they are faulty, the air will seep out and you'll have a flat. Very reliable for past thirty years.

This company’s warranty is BAD. I haven’t even had my tires on the car for 6 months there is clearly defects in the tire; my father noticed as a mechanic. When I called Johnston and Magwood they didn’t even consider looking at my tire immediately I was told the defects wouldn’t be covered under warranty and told to take it up with the city or buy a new tire. Would not recommend buying tires from here. They use the typical warranty scams you hear of. Disappointed & would definitely not recommend.

I purchased 4 tires from a big box store and the price was ok but found out the hard way you get what you pay for. I was getting a vibration 90k and up and after numerous times returning the vehicle to the shop to get the balance rechecked nothing would corrected the problem. A friend recommend me to bring it to Johnston and Magwood so I did. Marlin inspected the rims and tires on their high speed Balance machine and found out that one of my tires was not mounted 100% and that was giving me the problem even tho the balancing was not that far off. I thought after spending may hours at the other shop they would have found this problem and correct it so I was a little skeptical on the diagnosis and Johnston and Magwood. After about a half hour I was on the road and took it on the 403 for a test. WOW my car is back again and smooth as glass. After all the time I spent and stress the price was almost the same .Great job Marlin and David for looking after me right. You could have turned your back and tell me to take it back to the shop but you guys went out of your way and yes!! you have a new Customer .

Excellent and quick service when I needed it. My tire was punctured with a small steel rod and thankfully J&M was two blocks away. To compound the problem, I had forgotten my wallet at my office. J&M expertly and permanently repaired my tire and got me on my way again in under 30 minutes. I was embarrassed to tell them that I did not have my wallet and I offered to pay via email transfer through my mobile phone. They assured me that it was no problem and gave me the bill and asked me to call them with my credit card number - which I did 20 minutes later. Thanks J&H for helping me out of a difficult situation!

Had a slow leak in my rear passenger side tire and decided to give Johnston & Magwood a try. While the wait was a bit over an hour since it's that time of year when everyone changes over to Winter tires, I didn't mind at all. Their waiting area is warm, comfortable, complete with washroom, tv, and really decent vending machine food/drink options. My car was ready in about 30mins. The staff were super friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend their services! Thank you J&M!

Usually purchase tires from Costco, because I had to wait for order -I called Johnson Magwood.I wanted Michelin Defenders, they suggested the Michelin Latitude- they were on sale . I trusted them . I was WRONG to trust them, Nothing but problems, those tires are not even for Hyandai Tuson After purchase -I went back, all tires had brown stains- they cleaned , sprayed with a black, shiny spray. I went back again, car not driving smooth , said I went over nail, Instead, the pressure was off, told it was because 2 techs were working on them, and the 2 gauges were different Was told that I could exchange them before the 30 days.After driving on highway, loud noise from tires. Went back to exchange to the Defenders. Dave (manager) told me that there would be an extra charge for the difference in the tire price. Dave (manager) had gone for lunch went I went to pay. So called later, spoke to Dave about the extra $100.00+ I paid. It was Johnston Magwood who recommended the Latitude, knowing that they were not the tires for a Hyundai Tucson, I had to go back 3 times-due to their error- Would it not have been good customer service to either reduce or cancel the extra charge? It is definitely a man’s world_ I felt that I was taken advantage because I was a women. The next time I need new tires, I will wait for Costco to order.

Overpriced in my opinion! They wanted 34.99 + tax to mount and balance 18" tire on rim, they didn't even need to remove it or install it on the car afterwards. I will take my business elsewhere.
