I had 4 new tyres installed and balanced in July 0f this year — three times I had to return to get them rebalanced, and it still was out of balance. They must learn to get their equipment calibrated. The head guys were a little miffed that I called them out, I decided to go somewhere else to get my wheels balanced. I would never recommend this company far the poor service — great tyres though.

I was having a terrible day. Couldn't even bring myself to toast my bread in the morning so I had plain bread for breakfast but I needed to take care of my daughter and get her to her dance class and then I had a flat. Not a full one but enough that I needed to inflate it. Then my cheap air pump died. I was breaking down but I called Cheapy and asked if they had a coin operated air pump. The man said "no, we have an air pump for people but it's free." When I got there it was outside got public use and free. And it was the fastest pump I ever used. The people here were so friendly and have been every time I go there. They always have great advice and reasonable prices. Obviously the customer service is incredible. That day I needed them so much and it's places like this that keep my faith in people alive. This place has, in me, a lifetime customer.

Went for MVI the other day, and they failed it due to apparently leaking wheel cylinders, so I took it home to replace them. First, the wheel nuts were far over torqued..Then I found no signs of leaking cylinders. So I took the vehicle to another trusted shop (told them why it failed at Cheapy Tire) and it passed the MVI without a problem.

Really busy place, first time mechanical visit, dropped off vehicle and they shuttled me home until it was repaired, experience was quite nice, very friendly staff, Price was impeccable for front routers, pads, and a caliper on my 09 kia Sedona. My son recommended this place as he is a mechanic at tusket ford collision center, price again was impressive, I'll let them do my bank 1 converter, and rear router's I know I need as well and my next oil change, hopefully they carry mobile 1 high mileage for vehicles over 120k as that is only what I put in it every 5 k. So far first impression is good, van runs like it did. Update, took er on the hwy to go to our home in Cherry Hill drives wonderfully. Straightened up after a drive on the hwy like she's used to. Impressive work Cheapy Tire/ Wilson's gas stop. Your my new mechanic. Will update as it goes.

We had both of our cars services here for tire changes. They didnt balance any of the 8 brand new tires properly at all. Ultimately causes awful driving experience on both cars ans caused balding and destroyed some of the tires. Other mechanics told us the tires were not balanced properly at all! Seemes like great service at the time but it wasnt.

So we've just had the first snowflakes and it's caused panic for getting on snow tires. I ordered in my tires that had to come from Moncton and they've arrived. ????. The shop is first come first served and normally opens at 08:00. The opened early today at 07:30 but at least one of the staff was here checking in people at 06:30

Brought my vehicle in for an inspection. The waiting area has a enough seating for approximately 10 people, with tea and coffee provided. Cold drinks and chocolate bars are available to buy. The appointment itself only took about 25 minutes which is quick! Staff was excellent, I will definitely go back here again.

Location is good, where you can fill the car with gas, and repair shop. I purchased and changed winter tires. My experience of the visit as follow, in side the reception, I can say it is clean, lots of waiting seats (not bad ones). And the place is specious were you can stay relaxed, there was no noise from the workshop which made me feel excellent and location has nice glass windows make the waiting space bright. Now receiption: there are three employees waiting to serve clients, they were professional in connection with client, well knowledge and respectful. They give the best they can do. Thanks for them for being nice and professional. Service time, as soon as I dropped the car, immediately my car was in the workplace for the service and within expected time the car was ready to pick up. The guys in workshop are gentle and they kept the good tires in the car without my request. Payment was done quickly and as agreed. Report about car condition is also done to give an update. Overall the visit Worth the 5 ???? One only thing I didn't like is when you give your information there is no privacy. At least they could put music to distract ppl who are waiting for there service

I just moved here from New Brunswick and needed a safety inspection, so I googled safety inspection places near me and this garage was the closest, so I called and booked an appointment. As soon as you walk in the door they help you right away and are very friendly. They get your car in pretty quick and are reasonably priced. It was only $35 for the safety inspection which is a good price. My exhaust needed to be repaired, so I came in the next day without an appointment and even though they were busy they worked on my car for two hours and got it done. The cost of the repairs were exactly what they estimated from the day before. I was thankful because sometimes when you go to a dealer to get work done they give you an estimate, but it can be $200 MORE then expected. I only went there twice, but I will be back.???????? Very please with their work.

These guys are very incompetent,not sure of what they are doing and also extremely unprofessional from the manager right down to the techs. I went there to get a part fixed and I specifically told the manager what I wanted to be changed on the car, a few minutes later I was called to come pick up the car,after testing I noticed that the problem still exists. I went back the following day after expressing my dissatisfaction to the rep via phone. She then told me to bring back the car back that same day. Upon arrival I spoke with the manager whom were acting proved by my presence. I explained to him that's the problem was not resolved on the car, he then sent one of the tech to go test drive it. After testing the car stated thats it was the break/rotors is the problem. I knew that they did not know what they were talking about so I went for a second opinion from another mechanic. The second mechanic diagnosed the issue;then stated that the left wheel bearing was replaced and not the right one.Upon my initial conversation with the Manager I wanted the right bearing to be changed. I went back to Cheapy Tire and asked which bearing was the replaced. The manager who always seems annoyed by presence stated that he don't remember what we had discussed prior to getting my car fixed. Then he told the female rep to asked the tech whom had worked my car,which sude did he fixed. She then informed that it was actually the leftside and not the right. I then realizing the deception of these guys because I specifically told the manager that I wanted the right front wheen bearing to be changed. Hence the manager started acting very unprofessional knowing that they were at fault. I asked so what now he told be that's he's not gonna change the right wheel bearing again for free. At this point I was full of disgust because of what was done and how it's was done by these guys. Before I left the manager told me in what seems to be a very annoyed tone of voice" I can't take the he say,she say story, bring back the car tye next day and we will pull down everything I front fo you and show you." As result of what I experienced I would never trust them again with my car so I didn't go back. I would never recommend anyone to this establishment. VERY U PROFESIONAL AND INCOMPETENT!!!

Been going there for 6 years, Great fuel prices, but my personal experience when have an allignment and my truck tires balanced was the mechanic was drunk and the owner is a cheat. I left, and after 4 hours they called to say they couldn't figure out how to change the tires and do the alignment. Then they refused to release my vehicle unless I paid for the alignment they did not do as they said the machine had been booked for my vehicle. To top it off. There was grease all over the interior of my truck, which they refused to clean. I Will ONLY ever buy fuel there.... have found a way more reliable and competent mechanic. Read reviews.... these guys are cheap hacks!!!!

Ordered 4 tires the day before (friday) expecting them to say they'll have them sometime next week. Turns out they could get them the next day. Excellent. So i go to pick them up with just an hour and a half left of their work day, and they say they have them, and ask for the keys! Pleasant surprise, i never mentioned anything about mounting them figuring they would be too busy, was done and out in less than an hour. Pleasant, friendly, timely service with good prices. Would recommend for tire purchases and mountings, cant comment on other mechanic work, but i had a good experience for what i needed

I've been going to Cheapy Tire for the past 15 years since I was 16 years old and got my first car. These guys are the most honest and reliable auto shop around. I would recommend them to everyone. I have gone in several times thinking I need something or being told I need something by another shop, only for them to tell me I didn't. I had brakes and calipers done by them on my car and then was told they were gone about 6 months later. I brought in a receipt that showed the work having been done 6 months prior and they honored the warranty of the parts they sold me without question... Saved me hundreds of dollars! These are reasonable people who value their business and their work. I will go no where else... I love Cheapy!

I was getting tires on my car this morning and I got a call saying they were done so I went to pick my car up and after I paid for it I asked the guy behind the counter where is my car.He said it's out in the parking lot.So I went out and looked for it and I couldn't find my car and I looked for about 15 minutes so I then went over to ask one of the mechanics and he told me he had to park my car up the street because there was no more room for it around here. Wow!!!! I didnt think I would of got a response like that from there.cheers.

Has the cheapest brake replacement service in the HRM. Unfortunately my calipers had to be replaced too (which they told me on the phone while I was away not to spend the two hours waiting in the shop) which made it pretty expensive... I would have loved a call back when my car was ready, like I wished for when I was there. Still, it was a good service and my brakes work perfectly now. I liked that I could just come in spontaneously and that they took care of my car right away. If you ask the right guy, you can even get used tires for a good price!

A good place to get things done. It is a first come first serve establishment. So get there early. The staff are decent. Busy days mean busy days. However, they have always been great with me. Changed my tires here for two years now. They have a Wilson's gas station there. I recommend this place.

I took my truck there once to have new front pads put on and paid for new brake pads plus installation. About a week later, when braking, the front of the truck was grabbing hard, shuddering and sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. Upon Inspection it was found that the front pads had in fact not been changed , the old ones were left on and were now down to the bare metal which is what accounted for the grabbing and extreme shuddering. Due to this, I also now needed new rotors as the old pads cut into the rotors. I have never gone back to those thieves since nor would I. I highly suggest that if you get any work done there you ask to see the new parts installed before they take it off of the lift. Your very life may depend upon it ! Consumer beware !

Great rates but they're apparently rough with your car. Dropped my car off for a routine tire change, staff was friendly, everything was great until I came to pick it up. Darren was kind enough to look me in the eye and tell me "a piece of plastic broke when we opened the door. Yeah, we broke it, but we're not going good for it." This isn't remotely close to an expensive trim piece, probably a third of what it cost to swap the tires, but according to Darren "at least we told you about it upfront." Be warned if you're just looking for cheap rates; you might be fixing more than what you brought your car in for. Edit: They came through and replaced the trim piece after all. Increased to 3 stars- good rates but had broken trim for over a month.

Called Darren he found them right away ordered them and had them that same day. Tires got installed next morning! Couldn’t of asked for any faster service. Was very easy to deal with! This shop is the only one shop having Minerva Tires in Halifax. Really good people and good services there! For changing your tires, you have to go early in the morning such as before 7:00 a.m. and wait for the opening in line until 7:30 a.m. It was quite terrible day with heavy snowing. I just visited there 7:00 a.m. and I got an appointment with one of my friends at downtown 10:00. My ending time for winter tires was going to be after 10:00. What a disaster! I even didn't bring my phone. But the owner(?) took me to the bus terminal, so I could meet my friend finally, even though traffic conditions were serious. I definitely recommend this shop!
