The staff here were great. One of the tires on my 92 previa le blew out last Friday and I spent all Saturday trying to find a replacement. I went to the kal tire on sw marine Dr and thought I was getting great customer service but instead got screwed over into wasting an entire afternoon to be told what already knew which was that the tire was beyond repair. The person who made me wait hours was gone by this point and the person know helping me was not at fault for his coworkers incompetence. This new person advised me that they did not have the tire I needed at their shop but that their main street shop did. Unfortunately by this time it was already 430 and kal tire on main closes at 5pm so no go. I waited until Tuesday since I was unable to miss work. Come Tuesday I was dreading going into kal tire thinking I'd be there for hours again. To my surprise I rolled in explained that all I needed was to get a tire mounted on a rim I had brought so I could put the tire myself, as the place where my van broke down was difficult to get it towed. The gentleman who helped me found my tire immediately and within 45 mins I was on my way out the door with exactly what I had asked for and in a really fast fashion. I would highly recommend this Kal Tire location!

Shawn was absolutely incredible. I could not have asked for better customer service. Not only was he friendly, he was extremely genuine. I needed a tire patched, but my tires were not able to be taken off due to a broken lock key. Shawn suggested I get in touch with the KIA dealership and told me that if they could get the locks off but couldn’t patch the tire, he’d he’d do it, despite it being almost closing time. When I was at the dealership, he called me to make sure I was being taken care of, and he even checked to see if he had tires in case the dealership couldn’t find some, as a patch wasn’t going to cut it. I’m someone who feels uncomfortable with cars, so his caring nature and the sense that he actually wanted me to get the best deal made me feel supported. This guy knows what he’s doing, and how to treat customers right. Thank you for everything!

My first visit to the Old Victoria road location was due to a bolt in a tire (my husband said "take it to Kal Tire, they will help you"). My tire was fixed quickly (no charge) and staff treated me very kindly. We've been going there ever since, for tires and also for brakes. The staff are friendly and professional, and the work is excellent. Beyond all that, their prices for tires and services are always very competitive - no need to shop around.

Hello, My name is Ryan Periana and I would just like to share with you my experience at my local Kaltire shop in Penticton, British Columbia. I drive a 2005 Subaru Outback and have been getting weird grinding noises in the rear of my vehicle. Being new to town I asked a coworker where he recommends for mechanic work and to my surprise he recommended kal tire Penticton. I brought my car in and was greeted immediately with smiling faces (even though the location was incredibly Busy being winter tire swap time). I left my vehicle under the care of the manager Kurt Allat and his employees. Within hours of dropping my vehicle off they called me and said wheel bearing work was necessary along with new rotors and new pads for my rear tires. I said go ahead with the work and ~ 24 hrs later it was done. I paid the $875 and drove off immediately noticing a new problem. I was now getting a new grinding noise when turning hard rights so I brought my vehicle back to Kurt and his team. They treated the issue very well and apparently struggled and tried everything to find a rotor that wouldn't amuse this grinding noise. Long story short they spent hours and hours on my brakes (all free of charge since this was a new problem which arose after my brake job). They finally decided to just machine my old rotors and problem solved. I was a bit worried about this "band aid" fix; however, upon talking to Kurt about the warranty, the confidence they have in their work I was pleased. An added bonus was that Kurt didn't change me for the machining work since I already paid for labour to replace rotors (which ended up not happening). I am incredibly happy with the customer service I received from this shop (especially Kurt Allatt, the manager). I hope this message can be passed onto the shop as I know they work incredibly hard this time of the year. Kudos to Kurt and his employees for dealing with my difficult vehicle in a courteous and diligent manner while being incredibly busy with other jobs. Cheers, Ryan Periana

I change my own tires between seasons. A few years ago the security socket (the socket that works on the security nut) on my Honda got stripped. Honda dealer wanted over $200 to remove 1 nut. Sayeth the smug mouthed service manager - "if your nut broke your socket then I don't want my mechanic to risk his socket on your nut" ... huh. (last time I ever set foot in that place) ... Kal Tire to the rescue! I waited less then 5 min - the nut was off (replaced with a regular nut I had) ... and the cost was $0. I've been back several times since for tires and brakes and the service is always top notch (also my kids like the free popcorn). This is how you run a business! Keep it up!

On a Saturday afternoon, my trailer tire blew out. Trailer tires are hard to find so KalTire phoned 5 or 6 places before finding the right one, which they picked up and installed on my rim and I was on my way. Friendly and efficient service. Went the extra mile to help me out.

I was just at Kal Tire on the 8th of September and the service was great. I order my tires about a week in advance and the guy on the other end knew what he was talking about and gave me his best opinion on what to buy. When it came to the service the day of installation the receptionist was very nice and the service was quick. I showed up around 8:10AM and I left before 9:00AM. My overall service there was great and I would highly recommend purchasing tires from them.

Not a great day for Kal Tire. I dropped my vehicle off to get new tires and a wheel alignment. The appointment was for 9am which I was on time for. It was on their printed service sheet as well as told to me that it would take up to 2 hours for the work to be complete. After having their employee write my phone number down on the clipboard and asking them to call me when they were finished, I headed off to kill some time. I returned at 10:50am having not received a call and assuming that things took the full time, and they may be finished at or just after 11am. Not a problem as that is what I was told. I sat down in their store front to wait either a call or for an employee to call my name having made eye contact with the same employee who had taken my keys at 9am. Almost an hour later, at 11:45am, after sitting there having not received a call and no employee checking in, I had to initiate the conversation and ask what was taking so long with my vehicle. I had watched other customers come and go and vehicles move in and out of the garage bays. Upon asking what is taking so long, an employee went over behind the main desk and laying out in the open was the clipboard assigned to my vehicle just sitting there. My vehicle had been ready for some time. It turns out they didn't even need to do the wheel alignment which means the work probably took less than 2 hours. Had I not asked, how long would I have sat there waiting to be contacted? While this is probably a rare occurrence, I received a insincere apology and nothing was offered to make up for my time that was wasted. I found this side of their customer service extremely poor. I only hope their attention to detail is greater with the vehicles they service. I'm not sure I would go back after today, based mostly on the poor customer service after they clearly had overlooked me as a customer.

Awesome experience. They fixed an ongoing vibration problem in a new truck that my GM dealer said was normal. They even came for a test drive with me afterwards to see how the truck felt. The price was fabulous. I am taking my other car in for balancing shortly. Great place. Go there.

Went to the New Westminster Kal Tire a couple weeks ago to replace my tire. I was told by the service adviser because I drive a 4x4 Tacoma that I will be requiring to replace all four tires. I currently had BFG KO2 tires on my vehicle with a tread depth of 13/32. Brand new these tires come with a tread depth of 15/32. Lucky enough I had the knowledge to tell him he is wrong and I only need to replace two tires to keep my tread depth the same on driver front and passenger front (My front passenger tire needed replacement.) I would be worried about how many people have had to pay double the price and throw perfectly good tires in the garbage because of advisers that do not know what they are talking about. Granted they match someone else's price which was about 70 dollars cheaper per tire! All in all be careful.. do your research.. don't trust these guys.

Worst customer service! Not sure if it was because I’m visibly indigenous or not but the two front customer service workers acted like I wasn’t there. They were on the phone looking down or away from me. No one acknowledged I was there until I started making loud noises with my cell phone. Top it off they took my two studded winter tires that I just bought this winter and said they were stripped. I didn’t get a chance to see them.

two years ago, I left this review: kal tire is fantastic. The customer service is unparalleled. The products are super. I would recommend them any day of the week. Unfortunately, things have really gone downhill. Recently, I had a low tire, so I took my car to have them look at it. They said it was the bead, fixed it, and I went on my way. A couple weeks later, the same thing. At that point, I said "you said it was the bead last time, are you certain, could it be anything else". They said no, they couldn't find anything, and reassured me it would be fine. A couple weeks later, it happened AGAIN. I drove straight there and asked them to look at it again. The person working the front seemed disinterested and just said well, if it keeps happening, it's probably the wheel, and we can't really do anything about that, we're all booked up today. Didn't even offer to top up the air or offer me the next possible appointment, and didn't apologise at all. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, with a toddler (who I had to bring along this time) and I need the use of my vehicle. This could have all been avoided if they'd listened to me last time. I did my best to be proactive, and I feel really let down by what I previously considered an excellent shop.

And if the speed of their service wasn't good enough, they gave me a bill which was half of what the "other guys" would charge. I am always going to go to Kal Tire Simcoe for all my tire needs. I brought my car here to repair a flat tire, 3 hours later I came to pick up my car and the driver's door no longer opens. Tried both my FOB and Key, neither able to open the drivers door. *** Update *** Changing to 3 stars after some discussion Kal Tire agreed to look at the issue. Seeing as how they're tire specialists I decided to bite the bullet take it to my personal mechanic and have him fix it.

I called in on a promotion to get a spring package for $29.95 - I called because I use Synthetic oil and knew it would not be included in this special price. Can you imagine my SHOCK when I was told I would have to pay an additional $89.95 for up to 5qts of Synthetic oil! I can buy this for around $42-$45 in most retail stores not on special. I will never go to this place again. Got a call from the Manager and he apologized after I had sent a complaint to their head office. He discounted the service as a way to compensate me for my trouble - good way to get a repeat customer - thumbs up now.

I trust Kal Tire for their warranty services and because they are located nationally. I was recently disappointed that I required a repeat visit to fix a frozen parking brake cable. I recently took my Honda CRV in to have the tires rotated and the tire pressures checked. I was getting an intermittent tire pressure warning light and wanted to ensure that we found out the issue. While they were taking care of the tire rotation and the tire pressure, they checked the front end alignment and found that it was out. They asked me if I wanted to have it done, they told me the cost and I approved. In both cases of rotating the tires and fixing the alignment, they told me how long it would take and they were accurate. Between the booking process, confirmation email, dealings at the counter and follow up, all staff were professional and courteous. I can’t recommend KAL tire enough as I drive my car knowing that I don’t have to worry about my tires. They sell great tires and then take care of their clients and back up their products.

I have been going there for 2 years after getting all 4 tires replaced because they had worn out. The price was a bit higher than other places, but the honest assessments, service beyond question, and excellent follow-up will keep me going there. The fact that tire rotations, re-balancing wheels whenever needed and a peek at the brakes when the tire changes happen are free make the original price a deal as well. Both Andreas and Stefan are excellent, I would highly recommend this location of Kal Tire.

Don't trust Kal Tire. They will try and upsell you to spend big bucks on things you don't need (both this outlet and the one on Arbutus in Vancouver have pulled that on us). They tried to sell my wife tie rod replacements at a cost of almost $800 when the tie rods had been done only two months earlier by a reputable firm when we had the wheels balanced. We got a second and third opinion (in addition to the shop that did the work in the first place) and all three confirmed the tie rods didn't need replacement. While she was there they also said they might as well do an oil change because it was getting close - we actually had another 1000 km to go but they figured might as well cash in while she was there - maybe it's trying to take advantage of a woman! They may be good on tires (although i would go to OK Tire or Fountain Tire ahead of them), but i would not trust them with any other work. BEWARE!!

I went to Kal Tire for the first time a few days ago to get a nail taken out of my tire. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Mike and Kim and so enthusiastic, polite, and friendly over the phone/ in person, and the service was quick and efficient! I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs works done. It’s nice to deal with people who actually enjoy their job. Keep up the great work!

I was told even with the model number on my car they couldn't tell me what kind of tires I needed. I am also a returning customer with the same car, and the guy wouldn't even look it up. If you want to have all your time wasted, be left high & dry, jerked around, lied to, and stranded at home this winter, leave it to Kal Tire! I began dealing with Kal Tire over a week ago when looking for a new set of winter tires that only they seemed to carry (a certain brand of Nokian I really wanted). Seems simple enough, right? Not with this place. My exercise in futility with these guys began over a week ago when I called asking to see if could purchase tires and have them installed. I spent an entire day trying to call them and every time was put on hold for longer than 20 minutes before giving up and trying again, or given the busy signal. The next day I decided to book an appointment online, since they didn't seem to ever answer the phone. I entered my vehicle information, selected the tires, and made my appointment which unfortunately, could not be booked for another week. Considering they were the tires I really wanted, I figured I could tough it out and wait the week. Installation day comes, and I arrive five minutes early for my appointment. I hand the keys over, and am told to return in about an hour and a half to pick up my truck with the new tires installed. Low and behold, I get a call within 30 minutes telling me that they never received my tires and won't be installing anything. I asked when they would arrive, and was told that they weren't sure they would ever arrive at all, as there is a glitch in the stock-keeping system. At this point, it's the day before New Years Eve and finding a set of winter tires before my NYE journey out of town was looking impossible. Luckily, I was able to find a set of Nokians from OK Tire that afternoon, and payed hundreds less than what these guys wanted. I only wish Google would let me give this place 0 stars, because it doesn't even deserve one. Not sure if this placed was good in the past, but certainly not anymore.

I was in need of two replacement tires for my Honda Civic but was definitely not looking to spend an arm and a leg. I came in without an appointment and was taken right away. I spoke to the manager, he quoted me a few prices and helped guide me to find the best purchase for my vehicle. He was very honest,friendly and best of all he gave me a great price! I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. The shop was very clean and the waiting area was very comfortable. I was able to use their free wi-fi and have a hot chocolate as I waited for my vehicle. The mechanics were very friendly and knowledgeable. They noticed that my alignment was off and the mechanic very thoroughly explained to me why it was important to have it fixed. I really appreciated the time he took to make sure I understood what needed to be done to the car and why. I will be going back this weekend to fix my alignment! I won't take my car anywhere else! They're doing a great job!

Short version: I just had a new set of winter tires put on and this location was fantastic, above and beyond expectations. Longer version: When I purchased my car I wasn't informed about my wheel locks. It was quite a surprise when I first took it in for a new set of winter tires and was asked for my wheel lock key. I had to cancel the appointment and waited for three weeks to get my wheel lock key from my dealer. It never arrived but KT still honoured the 5% price beat from my weeks old quote, removed the wheel locks for free and provided new lug nuts at a very cheap price. They shuttled me to my office as well and the employee who drove me did a great job and was a very nice individual. The price also included road hazard and lifetime rotation. You really can't beat the service and the whole process was fantastic. Will return here again!

* I finally got around to getting a tire change and alignment from Kal and wanted to update my review. No more road noise with the new tires, feels like a totally new car. Final bill was $100 under their initial quote as they said most of the wheels didn't need alignment. Still honest, excellent service and 5/5 from me. * I've been bringing my vehicle here for a year now and it is the best shop I've experienced. The staff are friendly and happy to explain things. They never find unnecessary repairs, and when I do need repairs I get a good deal on them. My most recent experience I was hearing some front end noise on my new vehicle. I wasn't sure if it was tires or wheel bearings or something else so I took it in to Kal. They called me and said it was just the tread pattern and nothing to worry about. They also didn't charge me because they said it was quick to check. I don't know of any other shops as honest and friendly.

Bad situation - I took my van here for a set of Nokian all season tires. They had what I was looking for at a fair price so I set a date for the swap. After dropping the van off and returning I paid and went to drive it away. They had driven it out of the shop but to my horror a loud clunking sound was coming from a front wheel. Turns out one of the wheel weights was hitting the steering knuckle. What kind of tech drives this off the lot without alarm bells ringing? They also over torqued the fasteners despite my asking the manager in person right before they started to only torque the alloy rims to 90ft-lbs and not the 130 called for with steel wheels. He confirmed my request and was in no way distracted or doing something else at the time I asked and he replied. Did this ruin my rims? Measuring with a caliper against the matching spare showed no deformation in the aluminum. The assistant manager offered to look into getting me new rims which was noble but I had to whine and start talking about plastic vs elastic deformation of metal before that was brought up. Lame. They also forgot one of the valve caps. Lame. Considering that this shop offers alignment services where they're loosening then tightening your steering and suspension components I rate them 1 star for dangerous work on critical safety components. With so many other Kal tire locations to choose from for Nokian tires I will not return.

Had a bad feeling and checked my summer wheels when I got home, sure enough they're newly chipped and scratched... This is after they had to refinish my dad's wheels a couple years ago. You'd think that they would be able to do such a simple thing well but that is simply not the case. If they have something you want, buy it and install it elsewhere or by yourself. Never again.

Sure enough it was too busy to get in. Not a problem specific to this location, just garbage customer service. The exact reasons I tried to call ahead occurred due to extensive pre-recorded menus.

I had such an amazing experience with Dan and all the staff at this Kal Tire. Dan went above and beyond to get me the best deal on new tires and brakes for my vehicle and when the original work was not up to their standards, they upgraded my brake pads free of charge to make it right. I then drove over a curb shortly after this and Dan again went above and beyond to fix my broken tire and wheel and I left having spent more money on a tow truck then a new wheel. Only had to wait 30 minutes or so while they fixed the tire, and to top it off the repair was free! I've never purchased tires from KalTire before, but they'll be my first stop when I need a new set.

I was at first impressed with the service after being told not to go there. I brought my tire there twice. The first time i left the tire there for about 9hrs the second time I had to come back because it was leaking again. I went to drop it off at 9am and was told an hour just to take the tire off. I took the tire off myself and then left it there for the day. When I was told it was ready and I arrived I was told I would have to wait another hour to put it back on. I told them my piece of mind and they put it on. Took 5 mins if that. It is again leaking and I don't think I will trust them again. Had the tire for at least 14hours and the problem is not fixed. I called to make another apt to see if I could get in as priority and I was told I need to be patient. Think I am going to move on and go to sturgeon where they do quick work.

I called ahead of time to see if I could drop off about 25 old tires, some still mounted on wheels. I told the gentleman on the phone that I didn't need the wheels back, it was all garbage to me. When I got there it took a few minutes until somebody greeted me, and then they wanted $10 per tire to remove the tires from the wheels. I had about 10 tires on wheels, I wasn't given them $100 to get money off my recycled tires, and recycled wheels. I decided to just leave my loose tires, but it took roughly 10 minutes for somebody else to direct me on where to go and dispose of the tires. Overall my experience wasn't good.

Edit: Wheel alignment done 3 weeks later I had an appointment for tire change and wheel aligment. They just changed the tires but weren't able to do the alignment due to issue with their equipment. So now I'm waiting for their call to schedule another appointment for the alignment. Also they didn't change the batteries in TPMS so my tire pressure light went on right after I left the shop. I'm hoping to get this solved during the wheel aligment. Until then I can't give a good review.

When my minivan tire went flat I was worried that it was going to be a costly repair or replacement. They were very busy and it was an hour and a half long wait but the lounge was comfortable with free drinks, popcorn and wifi. The customer service was incredible and friendly. She brought me out the rock that was the culprit and it was an easy fix. I was shocked when I got to the counter and they told me there was no charge!

Please avoid this Kal Tire at all costs. I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional individuals. To avoid having your time wasted, and be constantly lied to I would recommend going anywhere else but to this Kal Tire location. I waited over an hour and a half for my winter tires to be put on which they told me would be 30 mins. When asked about the delay I was told it would be done soon, and pushed off as if my time was no of concern to them. The employees were standing around chatting and laughing clearly not focused on getting the job done in a reasonable time. It was a frustrating to be ignored and to witness such unprofessional behaviour. I was joined by many other customers also showing their frustrations as they where told wrong times and waited for long periods as well. In particular I would like to mention Marcus Tait the manager of this location who demonstrated terrible customer service and management of the other employees and failing to do his job correctly.

Not only did they fix my leak quickly but after I gave him my card and was so grateful he he didn't even charge me after he noticed that my company over sees their shop equipment for repairs. Not sure if I will go back again. The first service I received was incredible. The latest one was unexpected. I ran a flat because I drove over a nail. Brought it in for repair and was told I will be updated the next day. Received no phone call the next day so I called the store 10 mins before closing and was told that it cannot be repaired and it needs a replacement. Since I changed the tire a few months back, I requested if the same one can be installed, they said there will be a delay till next week. Then they said they should be able to provide me an update the next day and see if they can bring it in from another store. Great news. I received a call in the morning and they were able to. Receieved a text and was told the tire is ready. Went to pick it up and saw the bill. $50 to bring it in from a different store. Now, this was unexpected as I was never told of this fee before hand, or else I would've gone to the store that had the tire in the first place. I was also charged their passenger tire installation fees, however, I was handed the fixed tire and had to install the tire myself. They may have done this as I came in 30 mins before closing and they may have been fully booked. Anyway, I checked the online price of the tire replacement and it came around $55 cheaper. I was already struggling with the unexpected cost of one tire replacement and being hit with hidden costs makes things frustrating. But at least they got it fixed soon.

After ordering brand new winter tires and being told that I would get a call once they arrived, they failed to uphold their word and after 3 weeks of not hearing from them I gave them a call and was told that my tires had arrived. The next day I showed up and was told that my tires weren't there and that I would have to re-book my appointment for when they arrive. What kind of clowns are running this place!? When trying to find a place to get winter tires after a sudden start to winter all places had a 2-3 week wait they were able to do a next day appointment if I left the car full day. Dropped off the car early in the morning got all the autopac paperwork filled out and was on my way. I had a bad ball joint causing an alignment issue. I went in to fix the alignment but asked them to check everything over to find why the alignment was out. Within 15 minutes word came back that the ball joint needed replacing. I had a medical appointment up island and could not spare the time to fix right then, so asked if they would rotate the tires just to avoid a blow out so I could limp it home and fix it there. Rather than tell me that it couldn't be done when I asked them, so that I would be forced to cancel a 6 month appointment and give them a nice chunk of change, they were honest and told me that this would be a good solution for temporary so long as I fixed it right away at home. They rotated the tires and charged me NOTHING!!! I will be spending more dollars at Kal tire in the future. Let's hear it for the folks that care about customers!!!

My wife did make an appointment for wheel alignment one week ago for today at 10:30. On arrival today, they took her keys and the car. After one hour of waiting, when she ask about the status of her car, she was told that they hadn’t even started any work in her car and it would not start for another half an hour! If they are delayed (which can happen), wouldn’t it a sense of courtesy to let your customers know about it??? This place is always great when purchasing something like new tires. Always friendly at the front desk. My complaint is that they tell you not to make an appointment and come in, but then you wait for two hours. It’s now been over two hours and my car has not even come into the shop. I came into the Waterloo location to have a snow tire patched because of a nail that got stuck in the tread (and fortunately it hadn't deflated the tire). I was very surprised that the patch was FREE! John(??) was helpful, friendly, and professional. It took them about 30 minutes (which I was expecting). Went there because one of my winter tires developed a slow leak, staff was on-time and friendly, they found a nail at the edge of the side wall so it was non-repairable, nothing could be done there =( They installed the backup tire for me, and when I asked how much they said it was free. I was very pleasantly surprised, their technician did spend the time to diagnose the leak, install the backup tire, and top all my other tires. That was my first time there, they didn't even know me, I don't know how this could have happened in GTA where everything just tends to be more expensive. I made an appointment on Monday morning 7:30am to change to four season tires, it was late March, I didn't think it made much sense to buy new winter tires and use them for like two weeks. My tires don't have rims on, and guess what, they found a nail in my four-reasons, thank god this time it was repairable so they fixed it right away. Thinking back, I did have to top one of my four-seasons in October last year, but it was nothing strange at that time, I really appreciate that they found this nail. In the end I'm back on the road on time. Needless to say, I recommend going to this place for tire-related issues.

Often times when you deal with chain style stores you can get spotty service. Not with KAL tire. Last night I noticed that I suddenly had a lot less air in my rear drivers side tire and my tire warning light went on. I called the store first thing this morning (saturday) and was told that I could bring it in and they would look at it even though their appointments were all booked up but it would probably be done within an hour or so. When things like this pop up it's always quite nerve wracking since I never know how serious the issue is. When I went in to the Langley location I was greeted promptly and offered a beverage while I waited. The store was very clean, staff were courteous and professional. I waited and finally was told that they were able to fix my tire and when I went to pay I was told no charge . I'm literally a KAL tire customer for life now and will recommend your company any chance I get. Thank you very much.

Steer clear of this Kal Tire!!! Here is my experience as a cautionary tale. I recently purchased a really nice, low mileage, older BMW and had it completely serviced and inspected at CG Motorsports (BMW Specialists), including a full alignment. The car needed new tires so I contacted my local (White Rock) Kal Tire. I've used other Kal Tire locations in the past with no issues. The model tire I wanted didn't come in the OEM size for my car so I called for advice on sizing. The guy who answered the phone did not understand the basics of tire sizing. I had to do my own homework and came up with the appropriate size. I then called them back to set up the appointment. They said it would take a week to get the tires in but I only had one specific day available so I asked if they could expedite delivery and I'd pay for it. They quoted me ~$50 for delivery and I agreed. Things got fun on installation day - they called me an hour before the appointment to tell me the tires weren't there (even though previously they told me that, with the expedited delivery, they should have arrived a few days early). Oops. And they wanted to reschedule to a day I had told them previously I couldn't do - this is why I was paying extra for delivery. I asked them to try to find the tires today as promised. They called back in 10 mins and miraculously found them sitting in their warehouse. I arrived for my appointment and waited 2 hours for the installation (seemed a little long to install 4 tires, but ok). Finally the car was ready and the guy started to ring me up. He then tells me the alignment was way out and they had to spend a long time fixing it. Huh? A) you didn't tell me you were going to do an alignment and B) it was perfectly aligned when I came in because of the work at CG. I asked to see the report and, after comparing it to my report from CG which thankfully I had with me, we realized they had used the specs for the sport suspension option I did not think my car had. But I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if they could show me how they confirmed that option. They said they "eyeballed" it but there was no way to know for sure. In the meantime I went out and checked my car and they had PUT ON THE WRONG SIZE TIRES! The tires I requested were the same diameter as OEM, these ones had too narrow a sidewall. This is a rookie mistake. After trying to blame me (said this was the size I ordered - definitely not) they agreed to fix the tires but they tried to tell me the alignment was close enough either way and didn't need to be corrected ( even though their own report showed everything out of spec). I went to have lunch while they fixed the tires. At lunch I reviewed the alignment reports and it turns out the specs for the different suspension options were right there on the reports and EASY to check. I went back and asked them to do the measurement to confirm which suspension I had (what they should have done originally). Buddy couldn't figure out how to take the measurement. I had to google to get the right method and had to show him how to do it. Sure enough, they used the wrong spec and had completely screwed up my alignment. I said I wanted the alignment fixed. Buddy was getting pissed, but agreed. 1/2 hour later he comes back, tosses the new alignment report at me and tells me "all good". I look at it and camber is red and way out of spec. I ask him what's up with this? He goes into the back and I could see him arguing with the technician. Then he comes out and tells me that camber can't be adjusted on my car so his machine must be wrong. Huh? So how do I know the other numbers are right? Fed up, I paid and left. Today (4 days later) I took my car back to CG Motorsports and they checked my alignment (for free). Yep, it was way out on almost every spec. They adjusted my alignment for free and everything is now well within spec. True professionals. If I could give this Kal Tire a negative score I would!!

Bought my tires here which was the best price in the area for my Audi A4. Unfortunately got a flat due to all the construction near me so came here during these crazy times. Wait times were quick and they were very helpful to fix or get my tire fixed. They ended up having to get me a new tire and I was glad some of it was covered under Warranty. Amazing service and will continue to buy my tires here for all my cars. Thanks for continuing to service customers and also for the fast efficient service.

Tough to Trust; won't be back. It's too bad, really, because they've always been my go to, and previously had provided great service (for VERY similar issues) over the years. Stopped in to get a puncture fixed. They were quick to determine it was unrepairbale that that no one else would be able to repair it. The only solution was to replace an entire tire (for a small nail, in the tread, albeit somewhat to the side, but not at, on or over the shoulder) at over $300. Drove 4 minutes west to a competitor with a water feature for a name, and was out with a fully repaired tire in less than 40 minutes, with a bill under $40. When I asked them why Kal wouldn't fix it, I was given 2 reasons. 1. Kal hadn't taken the tire off before determining it impossible. 2. They make more money selling me a new tire. When it's time to buy winters for my vehicle in a couple months, I wont' be showing up at Kal. - If a Kal rep actually reads this, remember that the younger generation shops with their wallets - not with brand loyalty. You could offer me 50% off the next set of tires, and I still won't be back.

Answered all my questions and gave good insights on tread wear/ life left. Comfortable place to sit and wait as well. Definitely gained a returning customer here ! Highly recommended.

I had a great experience at Kal Tire. I needed new tires and was able to purchase all-weather tires on short notice. The staff were super friendly and had everything done within about an hour and a half. Kal Tire also offers a discount to Canadian Forces personnel which saved me a nice chunk of change! I had a car that I wanted a wheel alignment on. Parts were fine but they insisted I needed to replace the camber kit. The quote was ridiculous (parts alone were listed 4x higher than most parts stores and I even made sure that the brand/item numbers were identical). I brought it to St. Albert Honda for a second opinion and they did the wheel alignment and saw no need to replace the parts that were not actually defective. Lesson learned.

While on my way to work, I got a sidewall puncture which unfortunately means patching is out of the question. To make things worse, I have a Subaru with the finicky AWD system and therefore having 1 new tire and 3 worn = bad news for the drivetrain. Ultimately, this means 4 new tires and $1k I was not planning on spending. I went in to this Kal Tire without an appointment during a busy point, and was still helped within a few minutes. I'm mechanically inclined and do most of my own work on my cars, so talking to "technicians" at chain shops is usually a painful experience. This was NOT the experience I had at Kal Tire. Stuart, the front end employee who I dealt with first, was professional, courteous, understanding, and experienced. He knew exactly what was best for my car and laid out all my options. He was able to get the exact tires I wanted shipped over, and managed to get my car worked on that day, again, without an appointment. When I picked up my car later, I dealt with Chris, who was equally professional, courteous, and experienced. The work done was top notch, so hats off to the shop techs. I can't stress how impressed I am with the service I received from all the employees, but especially from Stuart and Chris. Not once was I offered something I didn't need, mislead, or felt pressured; something that happens all too often at lots of auto repair shops. While spending an unexpected $1k is never a good time, I'm thankful I stumbled upon this shop. As long as I'm living in Winnipeg, Kal Tire off Kenaston will be my go-to location for anything auto related. UPDATE April 2019: After having my tires for almost 2 years without any issue, I got a sidewall puncture in one of them. I called Kal Tire and got in immediately. They weren't able to patch it (because side wall) but they honored their warranty without hesitation, and I got a brand new tire at a pro-rated amount. Once again very impressed with the service I received from Kal Tire!

I booked an appointment to have an alignment done and a steering stabilizer put on. Appointment was on thurs, I arrived to pick up the vehicle thurs night, upon picking it up, I was told the steering stabilizer had not been put on, due to no time, yet the vehicle sat there all day. I was unhappy so I told them I would put it on. Once I left I got a mere 100 meters before the vehicle was shaking violently. I returned back to the location wondering what was up. I was speaking to, who I thought was the manager, who told me, oh ya, I thought I told you it was shaking still. How do you allow a vehicle to leave your shop, that shakes violently? I left the vehicle to be fixed on friday, only to be told we dont have the bolt that goes to the bracket. Ummm, Lordco is a mere 4 blocks away, you're telling me you can't get a single half inch bolt? I am now on day 3 with the vehicle at the location and brought them the half inch bolt to put on and redo the alignment. I am appalled at the lack of service when I have had many other great experiences with Kal tire, the lack of pride of workmanship is also beyond me. I hope you step up your service as I am sure I am not the only one with issues.

I had contacted a few different places (including Birchwood BMW) to discuss service and repairs for my BMW car. Kal Tire on Kenaston nailed the customer service out of the ball park - I can't stress it enough. Even over Christmas holidays and New Years when some businesses seemed to be difficult to communicate with, Kal stayed on top of everything and provided me the information I was seeking. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish and I'm truly blown away at how they handled each stage of the process. There was a team of people I dealt with and who worked on my car but a few of the names I'm aware of are Nick Horvat and Josh Fisher - thank you so very much for your customer service, it was top-notch. And the techs JT & Wayne (I think) - thank you kindly. Thanks Kal!

Arrive for a 9am flat tire repair and notify the staff that the tire may not be repairable. They have my number and I confirm they'll contact me if nothing can be done or when the work is completed. They let me know they'll call me for sure. An hour later I see my truck in the parking lot and, of course, no call. Ask the staff whats up, and I guess it took them an hour to figure out that the tire couldn't be repaired... I've heard positive stuff about Kal Tire so I went. I'll just chalk it up to them being busy or something but I'd advise to just go Graham's.

They fix flats for free, but they don't know how to torque a wheel properly. Mine almost fell off shortly having new tires installed. I won't be going back here.
