Jonathan and his crew are honest, hardworking and trustworthy. They talk to you like a person not like an uneducated mechanic. By clearly explaining the problem with my Jeep it helped me understand their game plan to correct the issues. I dropped my Jeep off Monday and I got it Wednesday the same week, after extensive work. Recently had some work done this past week which included a lot of suspension work on my Infiniti G37. Jonathan and his crew took care of me and got the job done right and got my car back on the road quickly. The techs are very knowledgeable and know what they are talking about when they explain things to you and take the time and care required to get your car within specs especially for my alignment. Highly recommend the shop and I will be going back there shortly for my other car. They have a very nice Lounge area where you can wait and relax and have a coffee while they work on your car. Shop has been around a long time with the same owner and for good reason. Don't hesitate to stop in here you will be taken care of.

We really had a great experience working with the guys at Speedy Auto. Our car broke down while we were in town for a wedding and so we took it to Speedy Auto where they were able to quickly bring it in and diagnose the problem. They gave us very helpful information about the best/most cost effective way to fix the car. We got things fixed up and they had us back on the road in no time. About a week later, another part broke on the car (it's old!) and we were in town again for another wedding so we took it back to Speedy Auto. They diagnosed the issue at no charge since it was questionable about whether it was related to the piece they had just fixed. It turns out that it wasn't but they still didn't charge us. We were really impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the workers. I would recommend this place to my friends in the Waterloo region.

Had an excellent visit at Speedy a week ago. My exhaust had a rattle so I called them and they got it in the next day. They called mid morning with what was the problem and a quote. Great and speedy services and prompt responses. Diagnosed the exact issue in 20 mins and provided the service of replacing the Break pads and rotors in 2 hours. Excellent customer interaction. I felt the charge is so high, however it seems to be within the range of other competitors. May be the transparency with the parts prices, would avoid the feeling that they are over-charging. I had to check in NAPA website for prices and then realized the prices are not too much overpriced, except they added convenient charges for parts.

I have been coming to speedy for several years, through several vehicles. Speedy has always beaten dealer prices for services and parts when I have compared pricing. They are always friendly and welcoming. They have always been up front with me about what the costs will be and what to expect in terms of turnaround time. They don't upsell needlessly and will tell you if you could take care of something yourself. They honestly seem to care and I feel completely comfortable leaving my vehicle with them for any service or repair that I need. Also they have driven me home (5k approximately) and picked me up for any lengthy vehicle services. Rest assured you are not being taken advantage of with these guys, it's a nice feeling!

The guys at Speedy were very friendly and helpful. Also, they won't charge you ridiculous amounts of money for things that don't need to be fixed. Yesterday I heard my car making very loud noises and drove up the next morning to Speedy. They drove me to and from work (I don't work very close) while my car was being fixed just for me to find out the total cost of fixing the car was only $22! Worth giving them a chance if you ask me...

This place is anything BUT speedy. Made my appointment for 10am on Saturday. They told me my car would be ready in 2 hours. It’s 1:30pm and I’m still waiting. Jonathan was condescending when I asked him to explain the $550 estimate for a front pipe. I would never come here again and will make sure to go out of my way to tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. So unimpressed; the good reviews for this place must be for $35 oil changes, not for actual mechanic work.

Service was incredible! I blew out a tire valve at the gas station across the street. Despite showing up with 20 mins to closing on a Saturday, the team helped me to get back on my way. They came to my car, put on a spare and got me to the shop. After performing the repairs, it was 30 mins past closing. They were incredibly helpful and never made me feel like i was imposing. I am so thankful for the professional service I received. I will return.

Not sure if these guys were trying to scam me or were just misinformed. They assured me that an issue with my exhaust needed a $500 replacement, and repair was not possible. Luckily I got a second opinion and was able to fix it for $50. Also the speedy mechanic said my muffler may fall off if I don't do the repair, pressuring me to fix it asap. I asked a different mechanic and he chuckled saying that's not possible. Shady stuff. Also I was promised a callback regarding an estimate for an unrelated part, but got nothing.

Avoid this place!! Had a muffler under warranty. Owner said I would have to pay $200 for things not covered under the warranty. I agreed on it, to me It was reasonable. At the end he charged me $700 to fix my muffler under warranty. Do not go here.

The tech at the Honda dealership told my mom the windshield was chipped and would have to be replaced. I thought that sounded suspicious so she came for an estimate at Speedy and the gentleman there told her it looked like a stress fracture. She took it back to the dealership and eventually agreed and replaced it under warranty. That level of honesty always warrants a good review.

Took my 2009 Nissan Altima to Speedy Auto Service on Weber because my car didn't turn on one morning. Speedy's diagnosis was that the engine had low compression in more than 1 cylinder. They told me I either could replace the engine (about $6k for a used one or $12k for a new one plus labour) or get a new car. They charged me $100 plus tax for this diagnosis. I ended up getting a new car, but took my Nissan to get a second opinion. Turns out, the engine was actually fine, but I need to replace the fuel pump (which will be about $800 for the part and labour inclusive). Now I have 2 cars lol. I don't recommend Speedy at all, and if you go there, GET A SECOND OPINION.

As a young woman it is not easy to find an auto shop where you feel comfortable and we'll looked after. Not once have I felt like the guys at speedy have tried to trick me into getting unnecessary work done or over charged me. They always offer honest information and do the work that NEEDS to be done without any hassle. I came in for a muffler swap around 4pm, they looked at it, modified the muffler, informed me of an exhaust leak, patched it up, whole nine yards. Was told originally they will just trim the muffler so it fit and then the next day theyd do the rest. The folks here ended up basically doing the whole thing and finished right before closing. Another great Speedy experience.

Last week I brought my car into Speedy Auto to get suspension work done. I needed a couple of ball joints replaced. It was easy to set up an appointment and Tanelle did an exceptional job of making sure I knew everything that was going on. I wanted only the most basic repairs and wasn’t too interested in any upgrades, however when I picked it up, Tanelle told me that the mechanics went ahead and did extra repairs free of cost as it would optimize the life of the new ball joints. Excellent service, recommend 100%, and as a new customer made me feel very comfortable. Tanelle also needs a raise, the most kind and polite receptionist I've ever dealt with at any garage.

Alright.. I've had enough.. This guy is seriously incredible. Absolutely the best mechanic I have ever met. I have never written a review on anything, but Kyle at SpeedyAuto deserves the recognition. I've been driving for 10 years, I've owned 3 cars and have always found it incredibly frustrating and difficult finding a good shop to take my car. Thankfully, I don't have to ever worry about that again. I've taken my car here countless times, for things like yearly safeties (recommended for cars older than 2006), oil changes, tire changeovers, and today for a brake issue (my fault because VW's are strange). Kyle has been nothing but fantastic. He is incredibly honest, he is well spoken. When he finds out what is wrong with my car, he explains what may have caused it, what he will do to fix it, and other things that could be potential problems in the future. He even gives me advice on specific things I can do to extend the life of my car and those potential problems, and prevent them from coming forward sooner, and has even showed me how to fix some issues in order to save unnecessary labour bills.. What!? Have you ever met a mechanic who's willing to tell you how to prevent coming back to the shop? I know I haven't. This is why I'm willing to drive an hour out of town. If you are looking for honest and quality work, I highly recommend this place. Call in ahead of time and ask to have Kyle work on your car, you wont regret it!

Needed a safety on a two year old, dealer serviced vehicle and was told it would cost 600 in repairs. I looked up these repairs, and they're not even safety items on the Ontario Safety Certification list. Declined the work, and took it to Midas, who passed it without any work. Stay away from these guys - they're looking for work and taking advantage of their customers.

When my husband first mentioned Speedy Mufflers, I was worried because we were gauged at Mister Transmissions. I had thought it would be better to check out the dealership or another place someone had recommended. Speedy was close to where the car was towed and the phone call we made to them was very positive. Chris and his team were friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. We had done our homework and knew what it could cost us to replace parts of the muffler that had snapped off. In the end, we saved hundreds of dollars because they made a recommendation that was not just cost efficient but made better use of original parts of the exhaust system that did not need to be replaced. Most places are late with pick up time. They were one hour early. Very happy. Will send the kids and friends there because we can trust them to not gauge customers.

Brought in a low mileage Toyota for a safety inspection and was informed by Ivan that the rear coil springs were broken and would need to be replaced. I looked at it and and several other items on his list and disagreed with his assessment. I drove it up the street to the Toyota dealership and had them check the springs. Their assessment - the springs were not broken. Went back to Speedy and they refused to acknowledge their error without "written" confirmation from the Toyota dealership. I'm not sure if it was incompetence or corruption, but I would not recommend using this business.

Perfect service. Called the day before asking for a quote for the exhaust fix, told to come in to check it out for free and see what was needed. Appointment at 8am, car on hoist at 8:10. Brought me into the shop to show what needed to be done and fixed within an hour and a half. Chris was very helpful and walked me through what the charges were and Conner fixed it fast and effectively. Great shop and great prices. Will definitely be back if I need something done

This place is horrible. Went there to get my flex pipes replace, so they tell me my flex pipes are perfect it's my resonator. I tell them to delete my resonator and they come back with a 800 dollar price to cut my resonator and straight pipe a double exhaust. And originally I told them on the phone it was my flex pipes and they wanted almost 1000 to fix it. I tell them to forget it. And go to hot rod Scotts. He tells me my resonator is perfect and it's my flex pipes. And he showed me it. He replaces both flex pipes for 500 with 5 year warranty and he deletes my resonator because I ask to for 200 dollars. In total 700 dollars for everything. This speedy is ran by people that don't know what they are doing and taking people for a ride. All they care is to work on thir cars at the shop at other people's expenses

Fair prices, decent waiting times and had no issues getting me in same day for an oil change. A couple issues i had however is they tried to sell me air filters i did not need. I understand that most people do not ever replace these and that a lot of shops do this to make money but don’t bring me my 2 air filters and show them to me stating they “should be replaced” when i changed them 2 months ago. They looked basically brand new minus a couple specks of dirt in the engine filter. And the second issue i had was that they filled my nitrogen filled tires with regular air. I realize its not a huge issue for the tires but the tires have green caps for a reason and if the tech doesnt know that green caps mean nitrogen, then it makes me question what else they might do wrong. Other than those 2 issues i was treated well and service was quick.

I have been taking my car to Speedy for many years for multiple reasons, but above all due to the treatment I receive when I am there. The employees are all a pleasure to deal with and go out of their way to ask how myself and my family are doing. As a woman, I have NEVER felt taken advantage of. I have limited knowledge of what happens under the hood of a car and find that the employees always make sure to thoroughly explain not only how they will fix the problem, but to also explain why that problem is occurring in the first place. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in all that they do. I do not have one negative thing that can be said about the service I receive whenever I am there!

Took my car in because I had an exhaust leak. After putting on a new exhaust, there were some issues with how it fit. So after many test drives and adjustments we finally got it right and with no extra charge. It wasnt the most efficient service I've had given that I had to come back multiple times for adjustments, but the outcome was fantastic.

The customer service from a specific person here is bad. Most of the staff is nice except a specific person. I don’t want to mention his time due to respect. I choose not to keep quiet this time. Here is what happened. To get a safety certificate, I gotta have my car inspected. There is no issue with my car at all except small issue of my sun visor, which doesn’t affect my driving at all. They insisted on changing the my sun visor or they don’t give me the safe certificate. Then I accepted it and paid for it without making any comment. Then I went there to have a new sun visor on scheduled day, I was told they ordered the wrong kind and they said they would call me to have another one in two weeks. Then I waited for their call. There was no phone call. I called them more than two weeks later by myself and was told by the male manager that I should go there again because they didn’t measure the size yet. Were you supposed to measure it the first time? All right, people make mistakes. How about the second time? The issue is that the manager didn’t follow up with me telling me that I should go there again the second time. It is me who called them at scheduled time agreed before-more than 2 weeks later. And most importantly, the male manager didn’t even apologize when I made a complaint. The third time when I went there, the manager seemed didn't care about the customer-me at all and tried to give me a hard time. I didn't say anything and pretended nothing happened. Probably the manager had bad days every time? I am trying to find excuses for him. In the end, I went there three times just to get the sun visor because I paid for it and I couldn't get a refund. I should have used more negative words in my description but I choose not to. Sorry to give you low rating but I have to .

I dropped into Speedy on a recommendation from a Speedy competitor that was unable to assist with exhaust pipe bending. Chris and his crew really went above and beyond doing more than just the exhaust piece - like Chris showing me how to adjust the carburetor on my 1947 Willys Jeep. These guys really care and it shows. All done on time and well within budget. I don't usually give perfect ratings but honestly - these guys are like a 10 out of 5 !! BTW - I thought I needed more work done, but they checked it out and said no - "that's still ok-leave it...if it starts to give you trouble bring it in" ... ok - so no scam, good advice and a promise of future top drawer service... We initially took our car to a larger service dealership for a sound that occurred after they put on winter tires and an oil change. The next day the car was making a great deal if noise. We took it back to be told there was a sound when we brought it in. There was definitely no sounds when I drove it in for service. Then we were told it was urgent that we had it fixed immediately. I called Speedy, they answered my questions with transparency and no bs. I took the car directly to them and they fixed the exhaust problem that afternoon at a reasonable cost. We were very pleased and grateful for their professional help when we felt we may be at the mercy of an experience we felt was dishonest at the dealership. Thank you! We will return.

Kris does not work here anymore, I've talked to him about the reasons why. Wherever he goes, I go. Its sad management is poor, because the Technicians are actually good at they're jobs. I originally posted a 5 star thinking it was a previous technician who misdiagnosed my truck, but now that I have the entire story, all signs again point to poor management and unscrupulous business practices.

This Speedy location was extremely efficient, professional and honest when it came to repairing my car. It is apparent the guys working there eat, breathe and sleep, cars. Kris explained the repairs required, showed me a diagram of my exhaust and brought me out into the shop to show me where the exhaust system was leaking. I really appreciate being brought into the shop and given a show and tell. He then gave me a very reasonable quote and had the work done in just over an hour. My Ridgeline broke down in front of their shop last Thursday at 5pm in rush hour traffic. I ran into the shop and within 2minutes they had pushed me into an adjacent parking lot and then then into the bays. The guys waited for my ride to pick me up and the problem was diagnosed and repaired by 10:30 am the following morning. Great service. Was able to head north for Thanksgiving . Thanks guys.

My boyfriend had a severe flat and Kenny was so incredible fitting him in on the same day. The experience was so pleasant the whole thing took under 30 minutes. The exhaust on my 2007 Chevy Cobalt had come apart at the the connection. I took it to my usual mechanic and they said that it was too thin to reattach. They recommended I replace the entire exhaust system at a cost of $1400 (the catalytic converter alone was $600.) I decided to get a second opinion from Speedy. My appointment time was 11:00 am but I was able to get the car there the night before and left a note asking if they could get me in sooner. They called at 8:20 am the next morning and said that they would be able to weld a pipe to reattach the exhaust at a fraction of the cost I was quoted by the other repair shop. They had my car done in time for me to go in to work at 11:00 am and saved me about $1200.00..

This Speedy is Terrible, Ivan will give you a price to do work, then upon completion it is hundreds more then the original quote, and the work they do sucks, Want Problems then go to SPEEDY Waterloo, I was at Speedy on a Saturday and seen a Tech back into another car, the owner there then got his detailer to try and fix the dent and scratch before the customer noticed, this is Wrong, the customer of both vehicles were never notified.
