Byma's has become my go-to mechanic for both our cars. First, they book you in for a specific time, and a mechanic starts working on your car on schedule. They will text when your car is done so you don't waste time checking in or left wondering if it's done. They are also very efficient at bringing in the needed parts. With a Starbucks right next door, they can order and install parts in the time it takes to finish a grande. On more than one occasion, they've investigated a problem and sent me on my way without any charge, when it only needed a minor adjustment. I've never felt like they were upselling - almost the opposite, finding ways to keep costs reasonable. A loaner is available when necessary, which is a bonus.

I've been using Byma's for 15 years and I don't regret it. They have been incredibly honest. I just sent my car in for $1,000 worth of work (I asked them to swap out the wheel bearings and a few other things.) They gave me a (free) loaner car, but then called me back 30 minutes later to say "Good news - you don't have bad wheel bearings, just bad tires." A lot of other places would have swapped out the wheel bearings - after all, that's what I originally ordered. Byma's turned down the money in favour of being open and honest.

Brought my summer rims and new tires in for a swap two weeks ago. Finally got around to putting them on this weekend. Noticed a slight wobble on my passenger side and figured I was due for an alignment. Scheduled one for Wednesday. Arrived and explained my wobble to the guys at the front desk. They immediately believed it to be something else and offered to check it over prior to doing an alignment to see if it was actually necessary. It was not, they rebalanced the tires, checked the tightness of alignment parts and sent me on my way free of charge. Issue has not returned and I've been to Toronto and back since. Great customer service. They even let me do my own inspection while it was on the hoist at no cost. My last time at Bymas was at their old location in Waterloo, but I will be making them my go to place for tires and alignment going forward.

Very professional team. I took my late model grand prix in for an overheating issue and wheel alignment. They looked over everything, tested all the cooling components and found nothing wrong. Everything worked as it should. Took it on road tests and couldn't recreate the issue. Turns out it was just a really hot day and I was being over cautious. They took the time to explain everything to me and included a very comprehensive report of all their work via email. If it wasn't for them I would have wasted a bunch of money fixing something that wasnt broke. Wheel alignment turned out perfect. One rear alignment bolt was seized, but they reassured me it was a non issue. Car rides like a dream. Straight as an arrow. And no overheating since!

We have been coming to this garage for the past 4 years, and have always had great service with good prices. They have never been dishonest. We recently had the inside detailing of our SUV come apart after it had been in their garage. Byma's was more than willing to discuss it with us, and even showed us security footage to prove that it couldn't have been on their end. It pretty much came down to poor timing and luck for us. We decided to have them look into how much it would be to repair. We came back to pick up our SUV with it completely repaired with the bill at $0. Note on the bill listed "repaired for good customer service". I'd say that's FANTASTIC customer service. They've secured us as continued customers.

I was shopping around for winter tires and tried multiple tire stores around the city but most of them didn’t even give any options or recommendations that suits my need. A friend of mine suggested that I try Byma’s tire. I went there and got greeted and treated with a very friendly staff. I explained my needs and they started showing all options of tires and wheels, they also suggested a great package for my budget. The tire installation took about 30min after they scheduled an appointment for it. I DEFINITELY recommend this store to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to Bymas Tire and Auto for 2 years now. The staff is so polite and kind and inviting. I know nothing about cars and ive been to other places where they just pile me with info and I have left there confused. At Byma's they take their time to explain what is wrong with your car and give you different options as for next steps! The staff there is great and the mechanics will tell you what your car needs and not just say things to make a sale. They dont get you to spend money that you dont have to. You dont find that at many places. Jackie and Dave are the sweetest and kindest people you will meet, they are always trying to help their customers! I love Bymas and it is definitely the place I will always bring my car! 5 stars!!

I was able to get in the same day I called for an oil change. The service was great and my oil change was done within the 45mins they estimated it would take. My inspection report was emailed to me and I must say it was a very professional report which included a photo of my vehicle on the hoist (small details that should customer service). They also put a little chocolate in the bag that had my key inside. These little things put a smile on the customer's face.

These guys couldn't pop a valve stem through a rim, "it's a lot more complicated than it sounds" the advisor told me. I'm a certified 310-s red seal mechanic and that's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard out of a service writers mouth, legitimately a 5 min job with a tire machine. Stay away from this place, they can't tackle a valve stem same day because it's to complicated apparently. 1st and last time going to this garage.

While they charge a typical rate ($100/hr) it's their honesty about their time that sets them apart. For example, charging for only 10 minutes instead of a full hour. In fact they sometimes undercharge (they did something that took 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything!!!). Simply the best!

Heard great things and wanted to check it out. Went in for an oil change and to have my AC issue diagnosed on my Toyota matrix. Oil change was reasonable, but man was I overquoted on the AC issue. Was quoted about 2000 for a job that was fixed by another shop for 400. Not happy about that. Service was great, but it can't make up for the insane over-quote. My advice: get a second quote before coming here.

My tires were leaking and they checked and said the wires were showing from inside the tire and I needed 2 new tires. They did not let me see for myself “because they already put the car back together and didn’t want to put it back on the hoist.” I bought 2 new tires and went to a different shop, both of my tires were perfect and no wires were showing , the cause of the leak was a valve stem which could of been found with a simple bottle of soapy water. Never going back there again

Byma’s just lost one good customer! I had my car fixed at this place 3 times even though, the last time they didn’t fix it properly and a piece of metal went on my tires. Thank you God, I didn’t have any fatal accident on the highway because that is where the car started to make a huge noise. Fortunately, the car suddenly stopped after my trip and my husband checked and found this piece of metal on the tires. We went back to Byma’s and they fixed what they messed up. A few months later, I am back to look the breaks and besides the 25 dollars plus tax they charge to take a look in the car different from many places that they would look it for free they want me to sign that after the repair I would pay a 120 dollars an hour!!!! For the test drive! Are they trying to steal people? Bye Byma’s!

I've been to a few garages in KW over the years, and Bymas is by far the best. They're my regular garage for oil changes and other annual maintenance, and they've done nearly all the work on my car that's come up. When they weren't able to do the work, they gave me options and suggestions on what to do where they can, and whenever there was a costly repair they broke down what my options were and tried to save me money where they could. I've never felt pressured to spend more, and several times they've been able to offer a cheaper option that would still be fine for my car, which is an older model. They've always made me felt welcome and helped me understand what the issues were. I've never had a single issue with any of the work they've done for me. I recommend them to friends and family in the area, and I'd recommend them to you as well.

This is what should be modeled. When people want to see an example of a business that cares, is fair, clean, organized, and compassionate to the customer: Byma's is it. I was skeptical at first. I heard the reviews and thought they might just be another mechanic, reserving their own mechanization for profiting off of my automobile ignorance. But they were quick to explain, offer to show, and even to ride along for some tougher issues. Yes, it is frustrating to get the occasional bill that is high, but that is not their fault and they are willing to show price parts and the bill overall. This is just honesty which is just simply more profitable than lying, and I love it, because it builds trust. It is clear that they want to do the right thing and that's why I will continue to go and recommend to others. My only complaint is that they are SO GOOD that more people will go and make it harder to me to get an appointment. Time for a second location? ;)

I'd be cautious about using this business, nor will I ever take my car there again, not for service sake as they have excellent customer service.... It's the other things that make this lovely shop so deceiving.... I took my car in this morning to get a 6" piece of exhaust pipe replaced, to be told it was going to cost 1000.00 to replace... Where the trouble is for my car they specifically make the entire center of my exhaust and is sold for 159.99 (check rockauto if you want, 04 s40 volvo.....) Where they told me it was going to be a thousand dollars because my muffler costs 600 bucks (again part of the center, so 600 bucks for a muffler when the whole setup is 159.99) then said the pipe was another 200 (again included for 159.99) and told an hour and half for labour..... This is def a shop that takes their customers on a wild ride of overcharging for service and it's kinda deplorable..... Especially because I fixed it afterwards for 33 bucks and was charged 33 bucks for stuff I already know is wrong with my car as I'm a mechanic.....

Honest, friendly local mechanic shop. I have been going to Byma's for many years, they are always friendly and polite and give me the options broken down by what is needed now, and what can wait for the next service. I really like how they have moved to more online invoices and quotes as you have the invoice for future reference. When I am faced with an expensive repair, they do not pressure and are fine to wait while I work out my options. I would not even give this place a 1 star rating... I would just like to set the record straight! No one tried to make you sign for a faulty safety, so let's get our facts straight. On the first day the car was failed for no reverse lights and wipers not working "properly". They replaced the bulbs which did not fix the issue. Told us we have a wiring problem and they also fixed a faulty wire in the trunk for us.(which was hard wired and it is not supposed to be!) We took the car home, figured it was a module problem told them what the problem was and then set up another appointment to have it fixed. Once they got the part and tried to fix it, they then realized they ordered the wrong part. Called me to tell me that the part I actually need is located in the transmission which is far to big of a job for their shop and I would have to go to a transmission place. I picked up the car brought it to someone who KNOWS what they are doing and laughed. Why would any car manufacturer put a module in the transmission for your reverse lights? ... once all was fixed we brought the car back to bymas For the safety certificate that we already paid for. I got another call, now the lights under the reverse light is out which worked last time the car was in and the wipers still arent working properly. Hmm could that be the wiring job that u did? thats what I was told by the machanic who fixed it that u did it improperly??? Also I was told if I did not replace my serpentine belt (which had a little oil on it) that you wouldn't pass my car for a safety. I repeatedly told u guys that the wipers are sensored and I have seen them work on high. Clearly your shop is not experienced with working on BMW's. I would have preferred you not to waste my time and just let me know that you were not capable of doing any work on this vehicle. Now as for the wipers please read the manual it states how they work!! Picture attached. So let's not make this a pissing match, and own up to your incompetence. It cost me $430 for you to just change a $20 dollar oil filter good job! In the end the car was taken somewhere else and safeties NO PROBLEM! the right thing to do would be to refund me my money. As all you did was change my filter and let me know what I needed for "your safety" I would also like to add the last time I picked up the car from bymas I was told that the wipers need a part that only BMW can fix, and again you were wrong. If I did ot know better I might have ran to BMW and spent a lot of money on a part that was not needed because your shop was to incompetent to fix. Also charged for parts that were NOT needed. Edit: and once again bymas has no idea what they are talking about. By all means you can try to make this situation sound as "fishy" as you want but in the end you had no clue what you were doing. And back to facts our "buddy" you keep mentioning is a mechanic fixed the issues you could not. And I never did a thing to the wipers, the light under the reverse light was fixed and car passed with no other issues. In the end you can say whatever it is that you feel on my review but let's be real your shop was not able to safety my vehicle or do the work to safety it.!!? Your a joke!

Went in to balance tires, they told me they balanced my tires but no difference was felt, the vibration was still there. Went to a different mechanic and he told me the balance was way off and actually fixed it. There were also no weights put on while the other mechanic corrected my balance issues with varying amount of weights. Very disappointed.

Do not go here unless it is your last option. I had a fuel leak coming from a fuel line. In the end I was charged $228 for them to put in a 3 foot rubber fuel hose. I could not believe the price as I could have done it myself for less than $15 if it were summertime.

Had a bad experience here where they destroyed my lug nuts when putting on my winter tires...then charged me for a new set after they wrecked the old ones. My car was 24 hours old. Nuts were not damaged or in bad repair they were factory new. I've never gone back and have no plans to do so.

I have been a Byma's customer for a couple of years. Most recently, I contacted them about a burning smell coming from the engine area. Not only did they make time to see me the next day, but they also diagnosed the issue (an oil leak) for free. They stated that the issue they found should be covered by the powertrain warranty, and that I should pay a visit to the dealership. It turns out that their diagnosis was bang on, and their quick and accurate work saved me what would have been $1000 in repairs (my warranty was only 500 kms from expiring). Byma's has constantly shown me great customer service and workmanship, and it's the reason why I continue to give them my business. Keeps up the good work, everyone!

I have been going to Byma's for at least 20 years and today will be the last time. I called to see about getting tires changed from one set of rims to another because i was trading the car in. I was quoted 109.95 (which is a little over most places but they could get right away) so I decided to go, received my bill and now you have to pay for wheel weights with the install and balance. They charge 12.00 for wheel weighs on top of the install and balance. How would they do the install and balance without weighs I wonder??? Why would they not just charge 122.95 and not try and screw over there customers with hidden charges. I have recommended these guys to many friends over the years but that will stop NOW. Next they will charge for the air they put into the tire. The reason they got 2 stars was because they were able to do the tire change over the same day as i called. Good bye

Worst place I could ever deal with. Will never go there again. The service I paid for was not at all what I received. This was in regards to a trailer hitch installation a few years ago. I picked the car up and was told the job was complete and I paid the price agreed to. When I put a bike rack on and drove down the road, the bike rack was bouncing off the pavement. When I went back I learned the job was not complete and some welding was required. Blyma does not weld and I was told to go to a muffler shop down on Highland. Why would I be allowed to leave in the first place without being informed the job was not complete?

Major rip off! We went to get our alignment fixed as the car was making a strange sound. The clerk said that the bearing also needed to be fixed. We paid for the alignment and the bearings for 350 dollars and the noise still continued. I argued with the clerk for over charging us for bearing as he said the noise would go away. He was rude on the phone and refused to fix the problem and over charged us and the problem with the car was not even fixed. Don't go there for anything!

Tim texted me with the amount due (69.95) and what work was to be done (at no charge) - transparency meets technology. This is how you run a garage in 2019. If I could give them 0 star, I would do that. I took my car there to change its winter tire after the last winter. And today when I took it somewhere else to install those winter tires, they told me that one of the tires is flat. Bymas should have told me before. Today I waited for 8 hours and they could not change the tire for me. Bymas, your staff should be more responsible!

They topped them off for us (free of charge) and the light went away and we were back on the road within 5 minutes. Definitely going to take my business here for future repairs! The staff are friendly and the service was fast. Their labour rate was also very reasonable. Their markup on parts is questionable. They charged me $760 for parts that I can buy for $280 online with free shipping. I appreciate they need to make money on parts too, and that in-stock parts aren't as cheap as online, but I called PartSource and the retail price I was quoted was still $85 less than they charged me per part. I called the dealership and their price for the same service was $110 less all in, but also included additional parts being replaced proactively. Dealershis are supposed to be on the high end of price I thought. I would prefer to give a 3.5 star rating - 3 feels too low but 4 too high.

I took my vehicle to a dealership to have a safety inspection done and was given an estimate of over $4000 to have the work done there. After getting that estimate I called Byma's and got great service over the phone and they were able to schedule my vehicle in the next day for an inspection. The estimate I got from them to fix the same issues was THOUSANDS of dollars less. They had my vehicle ready for me a day later with the required work done and with a passed safety inspection report! Could not be more happy with the service and value I got from them.
