I'm a pretty patient guy takes a lot for me to get annoyed, bought some winter rims off these guys told they would be ordered in no problems there showed up to my appointment waited there for 2 hours, they told me they didn't have the right valve stem for the rims they sold me. Come back for another appointment wait around in there for another 2 hours for them to tell me the second valve stems also didn't work. Finally they managed to make something work and assured me there would be no issues. Well that was about 5 months ago and the stems are now leaking, I haven't touched base with them yet to see about fixing the issue honestly I don't really want to because I don't feel like waiting around in there shop for another 2 hours might just go somewhere else and bite the cost to keep my sanity.

April 29th I had an appointment to put 4 new tires which I purchased from this establishment mounted on my summer rims and then installed on my truck (an approx. $1100 payment, not including the gas I used returning to the business multiple times). Left the shop and was pulled over on the 115 by a fellow saying my rear left tire was loose. Called the shop and they took me back in again. Got home and noticed that the stick on weights had been removed and not installed again during balancing. Went back to the shop, had all 4 tires taken off and re-balanced, and then reinstalled on the truck. Left and went to another shop just to satisfy my mind. Earliest appointment I could get was today, May 4th - pretty much a full week later. The second shop tire installer asked me if my tires had been torqued and I said yes. He said that's weird 'cause the rear left tire has 3 lugs loose and ready to fall off. He called me back in a second time to show me that the reason the lugs were loose is because Ptbo tire left the wheel spacer for my aftermarket winter tires and rims on the hub. The spacer prevented the tire from tightening when torqued and that had I driven the truck much further the wheel would have fallen off. When I got home I checked my winter rims and thankfully, 3 spacers were still on the rims and in great shape - quite the contrary to the one left on which I'll now have to replace when the winter tires and rims go back on. Also pointed out to me was the fact that when the tires were supposedly balanced initially, the old weights were still in place with some new ones attached to the inside of the rim. I inquired with Ptbo tire as to why the stick on weights had been removed and not reapplied when the new tires were put on the rims and was told they aren't necessary. I drove away from the second shop, whom I have done business with in the past and will continue taking my business to them in the future, with a invoice for $103.96 and the following noted on the invoice: -Tires installed at another shop -Right rear wheel nuts were loose due to hub center ring left on hub. Old wheel weights left on when new tires were installed (those weights being attached to the inside of the rim) If I could give a 10//10 for highly not recommending this place to anyone I certainly would. Once back is okay. Twice back is a shame. Third time wasn't happening and I'm beyond glad I chose to go to another shop. Definitely won't be returning or recommending to anyone I know.

So I had heard this was a very good and affordable place for tires, but I was super disappointed. First I had an appointment, for which they were 20min late before they took my car in and I could live with that until then they spent over an hour to do the tire installation. Secondly, I had 2 tires with more thread than the others and I did mention to them to ensure those 2 go to the front. They screwed that up by installing 1 on the front and one at the rear. I was very pissed that day and I was late for my other errand, so I discussed the situation with them and agreed to come in next day for the fix. Guess what? The boy screws up again and did not do the correct tire rotation. Finally, not a big deal but just spoilt mood that day was that the boy was pushing to drive without the hand brake down and I came out to correct him because I heard the tires screeching. To conclude my experience, my car was quite messy with sand on the floor, grease all over the steering wheel and arm rest. I am nervous now for I am not sure if they screwed up my car, I have to go get it checked else where.

Stopped in on my way to pick up my kid tonight thinking I might be able to pay in advance and make an appointment for later. They set me up with tires AND they happened to have an open bay and fit me in right that minute just before they closed! They had me headed out in 30 minutes with new-to-me snows on, just in time for my parking lot to be a rink at home! Absolutely top notch service, lovely staff, and under $400 for tires put onto my existing rims/installed/balanced, after taxes et all. Just awesome. :)

I have went to these guys a few times now. I am dealing with my first car so its a touchy subject when something goes wrong. I have had them quote me ridiculous prices. I even went in one time to get my tires changed over from winters back to summers and upon getting my car back, there was duct tape all over my tires, my back seat was filthy (mud and dirt smeared all over my seats) and my steering wheel cover was black from handprints, originally hot pink. I left to go home and clean my car, and on the way my car was making really awful noises. I immediately went back and told them about the noise and they took the tire off and said that there was dust build up which happens sometimes when changing a tire. I said k.. just fix it. I also told them about the mess they left my car in and the one guy took the steering wheel cover, washed it with soap and water and put it back on my steering wheel WET! they were very rude with me and made me feel as though it was my fault they left it dirty. I made them vacuum my car out, take the tape off the tires and wash my steering wheel cover. I took my car in to get tires changed but instead I got a mess of a car back and the tire wasn't even put on properly. needless to say I have been going elsewhere since (Love's Tire Sales) and am loving it. finally a place that listens to you and doesn't frig your car up! was not impressed by Peterborough Used Tires and how they treat their customers. we are what keeps you in business...

It was great, got two new front tires for my charger, put onto my rims and they switched my old rims out that were on the car for the matching pair to my front end rims and put the tires on those ones as well. It was also much cheaper than I originally thought it was going to be, and I have a warranty on my two tires I bought. This is probably where I'll be going to get my back tires when they wear down

This guy is a piece of work. I took my vehicle in to have to winter rubbers put on, they did so and about 300km after I had lug nuts loose. I re-torqued them myself to the manufacturers recommended spec and called him. He immediately became defensive and hostile on the phone, insisted on that I should have been told to come in for re-torquing and that he would not offer any type of compensation for the issue. Being a mechanic myself and also discussing with other techs, improper torquing in the only cause of such an experience. Additionally I now have wheel bearings going as a result. Why not approach him? Well I assure you he would most likely find a way to dodge any sort of liability or accountability as he seemed like a poor business operator. This year I took my vehicle to Kal Tire on HWY 7, and compared to Peterborough Used Tire, went above and beyond. I re-torqued my wheels 150km after driving and not one even budged. My conclusion is a tire tech missed a few OR did not torque them properly and the operator of the business simply did not want to be held liable for this poor excuse for quality workmanship. I direct all customers whom desire top notch service, a credible business and experienced techs to seek Kal Tire for all of their tire needs. Good riddance Peterborough Used Tire.

I had a flat tire and they were able to take care of it on the same day and with multiple options for my care. They offered that I could drop my tire off, because I had a spare on my car, and then come back later for a booked appointment to get the spare switched off. And the other option was to come drop my car off and come back once it was all completed. They were friendly and very reasonably priced. My tire was unfixable but they had another tire with the same tread that they could put on for me. Overall very happy with my experience.

We're do I begin .... well I purchased four low profile tires that were little less than ninety percent tread life. After the install I had driven home to clean a hell of a mess... I had tire lube all over my rims door , windshield. So after washing the vehicle I started cleaning the crap off my rims and tires too fingers my aftermarket sparco rims have been scratched too hell and gouged along the lips. Too top all that the two tires on the front were bulging!!!! Awesome. So I went back imediatly had them take the front ones off put my old ones on the back and the newer ones in the front. After all that I start too explain how pissed off I am cause of the damage to my rims.... deny deny deny... the owner is an idiot. Now just three hundred km later I think I have a wheel bearing Going!!! Take it too honda have them charge me just to tell me the newer tires are chopped badly. YOU THINK THIS GUY WOULD COME CLEAN FOR ALL THIS.... NOPE TELLS ME TOO DEAL WITH ANOTHER TIRE SHOP. So I'm contacting my lawyer for damages to my rims and ripping me off for my money. Stay away from this place at all costs. Its just a bbb claim and bs

I went there for the first time last fall to get 4 snow tires for the winter. I liked the friendly and informing staff; explained different things to me, I got 4 tires on and balanced at a good price; put all summer tires wrapped up and put in my trunk!! Good guys work there!! friendly. I added the Road side service for these tires only @ $2.00 a tire =$8.00 good for 2 yrs. on the tires. It's been a good set of tires in this snow. I will return soon to get the snows off and the summer tires on. Good . I recommend you give them a try and see the way they do business is very transparent, nothing to hide; good working place and I would say they have the best CUSTOMER SERVICE IN PETERBOROUGH, ON

Wouldn't recommend buying tires or having tires installed here. I bought new tires here and had them installed, after having them installed there was a tire on the vehicle which hadn't been balanced (which was included in installation) and the entire vehicle was shaking when driving. I called Peterborough used tires and asked them to take a look at the vehicle and they gave me an appointment 5 days away, which meant I wouldn't be able to safely drive my vehicle until then. I went and got the tire balanced at another mechanic and Peterborough tires refused to reimburse the price of the tire balance. Overall I would be cautious getting your tires done here because they clearly don't do a good job and you will likely run into issues after install.

Don’t waste your money. They don’t take the time to do a job right and they will send you away on tires they know will flat out on you and leave you to pay your way out. ‘There’s nothing we can do’ is not an acceptable answer when you get 4 flat tires in 4 days.

-Lost my Ford wheel locks, replaced them with rusty garbage. -Mounted my winter tires on my summer rims during the same visit I bought my winters. -damaged the lips of both sets of rims and welded balancing weights to the outside of my Mustang rims -car was dirty and greasy when I picked it up 2012, have not and never will go back.

Awful experience. Overpaid for two used front tires. After two months the belt slipped on the driver side tire. I took it back and told them I wanted it replaced. They looked at the tire and said it was a wheel bearing and then gave me an estimate to fix that!! I took it to a reputable garage where they inspected the bearing and tire and sure enough the belt had shifted in the tire. The bearing was fine. Avoid this place at all costs.......

This place helped me find a high quality used winter tire for my Mazda 3 when mine blew. They had me in fast and I was on the road again with minimal cost. I think it was around 55 bucks altogether and I would up getting a nice Toyo tire with a very similar tread pattern to what I had. Very knowledgeable.

I've only just begun my search, so I haven't made a final decision re. tires just yet. That said, my initial experience with P Used Tires has been really positive. I scouted around on Kijiji and contacted a handful of shops advertising on there. In my experience it's fairly unusual for businesses to respond quickly, if at all, from Kijiji. I received a very polite and speedy reply from these guys, explaining my options and prices. I'm assuming that with a written quote the price noted will be the price in the end. On their fast and polite response alone I'll be giving these guys a shot until they give me a reason to do otherwise. P.S. None of the other messages I sent from Kijiji ads have been answered as yet.

Have been here multiple times now and have nothing but good things to say. Minnie helped me order brand new tires and rims for the winter- I ended up going with the Hercules Avalanche tires that she recommended and they performed great in the snow. I'm usually in and out pretty fast, recently got my summer tires put on and I would definitely come back here for tire service in the future.
