There prices are cheaper than dealerships and provide top of the line parts. And to the person that said the waiting room was filthy WRONG.NICE AND CLEAN . CHIPS POP WATER FREE WHILE YOUR WAITING. Awful, and I mean awful experience. Don't go here for anything other than oil. And even that may be questionable. If they offer to change your transmission fluid, take it somewhere else for a second opinion. 5000km after having my transmission fluid changed, my transmission was toast. They claim they use a "universal synthetic automatic transmission fluid" but realistically, don't go with a universal because some transmissions are specific. $175 for an oil change and transmission fluid change led to $1500 for a new transmission. Never returning again.

We take our vehicles here for just about everything - tires, oil changes, undercoating and other minor quick jobs. Great people and customer service. Only thing I've noticed since it opening is the consistency in checking the little things like your lights, showing undercoat pics etc. new staff not being as diligent or educated as the original crew! I keep coming back though :)

This store has been changing my oil for 2 years. I did it myself this time and found that they’ve been putting the oil filter for a V6 on my V8 hemi, it’s half the size of the proper filter. Checked the filter model #, wrong filter. They will never touch another one of my vehicles

I went to get a simple quick oil change and they tried to sell me everything under the sun. They pushed me to get my transmission oil changed saying the red color was very concerning (that is the color it is suppose to be). I took a picture of every test they did that my car failed as record to prove they lied. Would not recommend ever. Very disappointing.

I suggested my Mom go into Castrol Express Oil Change, for an oil change. We do not have a dealer for her make of car, in Peterborough. They were out of that particular filter, yet didn't send her away! They treated her with old fashioned excellent customer service and made her feel comfortable while she waited (Not treated as an inconvenience since they didn't have the euro filter needed), while someone went to pick up the filter needed (a quick wait!). Some days are difficult for her to get out and about, being a senior and having some health concerns. I am so appreciative of the excellent service and respect Castrol Express Oil Change exhibited towards my Mom. On another note, very competitive prices. We have costly cars to maintain, and was pleased to learn they charged her a much better price than the Dealership. I will definitely being going there myself, when it is time for my oil change. Thank you to the kind staff, Akim being the first to greet her with his kindness and the other Staff for their excellent Customer Service as well!

I am not sure what to think. Service is great, however, there always seems to be more issues than expected. They do seem to be through although I don't think they really are a good deal when it comes to fixes. Great for oil changes and tire changes but I would consider other places when it comes to other fixes.

I will never go back. The last few times that I've been in pressure to up-sale is way too much. To the point where the technician was questioning me why I didn't want the added service. The last time I went in though I was right out lied to. I was told that my transmission oil was really bad and they showed me a sample on a piece of paper that was very dark with lots of metal shavings in it. As well they told me that my rear differential fluid was also needing to be replaced. That is a sealed unit unlike the front differential which has a dip stick ( Subaru Impreza). After leaving I went home and decided to check the transmission myself because the sample that was presented to me had me concerned. My fluid was still light coloured and showed no metal particles. That really upsets me that you would go to those lengths to take advantage of a customer. I haven't been back since,nor will I ever again.

Booked an appointment to have my winter tires put on. When I arrived at 11 both front and back parking lots were completely full and the front door had a large sign stating out of order so I drove around to the oil change bays to find out where to put my car for the tire change. I was asked if I a) had an appointment b) the tires were on rims; and c) if I wanted them balanced. When I said yes to all three, I was told that I was 2 minutes late for my 11 appt (because their parking lot was full) I asked if that was going to cause a delay in my appointment as I had another appointment at noon and was told there was a car just coming off an oil change so it would be only 5 minutes. At 11:30 I went back in and was told the same thing. Then I was told they were just really busy so I said I really didn't have any more time to wait and I would go elsewhere. Then they got me right in. I asked if I could talked to the manager. No manager came. 15 minutes later they came out and told me the car was done, I asked if the tires were balanced and the employee just stared at me and said "were they supposed to be?" I said yes, that was the service I booked and reiterated twice since I had arrived. I again asked to talk to a manager. They just took my car back in and took tires off to balance them without asking me if I had more time to wait. Third person came out to take my payment and i again asked for the manager and he just looked at me and asked why. I said I was dissatisfied he said, the manager was busy. Finally came out and said my car was ready. I asked if the manager was going to come out to resolve the poor service and was told manager wasn't there. I was there over an hour for what should have been 15 minutes. Here's how it could have gone 1. When I asked if there was a delay instead of lying, say yes, we're running behind, DON'T LIE and blame the customer for being 2 minutes late because there was no parking in your lot. 2. When you knew you had not done the correct service, TALK to the customer instead of ignoring me and just taking my car back in. The extra delays made me late for my next appointment. 3. DON"T tell me manager is too busy to talk to me when they aren't even onsite!

i've been going here since it opened its doors, overall i am satisfied. I feel that they take a long time doing services. I get an oil change and it takes 40 minutes added to the wait time to get. There is also a lot of selling going on too, which is common with quick oil change shops. I'll keep going back.

Fast and friendly staff, check a lot of things while doing the oil change. No pressure to buy anything but politely point things that should be done. Like the fact that they also have oil that is good for 10,000km instead of just the normal 8,000. I work in Scarborough, have been using a place up there for the last 3 years, but will now make this place my car's new home for oil changes, tires etc. Keep up the good work, see you again soon!

The oil change itself was efficient and fast. Issues were encountered with checking tire inflation pressures. My tires, on a 2003 CRV are meant to be 26 PSI, as stated on the label on the car door. They said, the car door pressure is wrong, the pressure should be what the tire says on the side, - which is the MAX tire pressure. They set mine to 32, I asked for it to be deflated to 26, got a lot of attitude for it. They are of course totally wrong, the pressure on the car as decided by the manufacturer is correct, as long as the same size tires are fitted. Some training needed

I've been in here twice for oil changes and both times the upsell was pretty heavy. The you need , you need just goes on. On the second visit something they had suggested the first time had been done by the dealer less than a month before. It wasn't something I was comfortable having Castrol do. It was a bit of a surprise when they said it needed done still. The system involved requires changing every 50,000k not the 500 it had been. Overall good service and friendly enough , just not a fan of the upsell.

Got an oil change here about a month ago, were great to fit me in..however Oakley sunglasses were stolen from my car .. and the mechanic who drove my vehicle out of the garage must have had grease on his cover all's , got all over my white seats. Not impressed. Bold that they will steal from your car as well.. disappointing.

HEY PEOPLE, I went in for an oil change and asked the mechanic to check all fluids and as I was travelling to the states for a week and didn't want my car to have any problems. after a while he came in with saying everything looks fine but I will have to do a transmission flush as It didn't looked good. so I asked after hw long do I need to do it and he said every 40000 kms. then I left after my oil change and transmission flush. the same night while I was driving to the states I got a engine light for coolant being low. I don't know why the mechanic didn't seen to check the coolant when I asked him to check everything. this centre just wanted me to change my transmission find just because they can make money out of it. at the same time at 3 am in the middle of no where I had to cal CAA and get the coolant change. the is carelessness and not professional. This Service was done on 27th June, 2019 if any of the power of the location is reading this !!

Business hrs on website, storefront door and actual hrs are all different. Waiting room is filthy (I could write my name in the dust) which means it is definitely not sanitized or cleaned for COVID-19. Prices for services are not listed anywhere. Attendant drove my car into the bay, worked with another vehicle and then drove my car back out (all without sanitizing). I did not see any attendants sanitize before going inside any vehicles. Not sure why only 1 attendant worked on my vehicle while several others stood around vaping or doing nothing. No sense of urgency at a service station that does not book appts.

Even one star is being generous. Chaotic experience. Service people running around like headless chickens yelling back and forth to one another, no one knows what's been done to what car. You have to specifically ask for fluid and tire pressure check. Customers wait in line in their cars before and during service. Prices are relative to a dealership charge, where you get what you pay for.....so why put yourself through this ? I'm still not sure if there's oil in my car ! I'd sympathize if there were lots of cars waiting for service, but myself and two others were the only ones in the bay with no one waiting at all....and all of us had the same expression of anger and frustration. I will not be back. Awful !!!

Got an oil change last week that cost me roughly $130 since my car uses synthetic oil. A few days ago I noticed my car was leaking oil in my driveway. I took it to a mechanics shop and was told that they didnt tighten the cap properly (excuse my lack of terminology), and that oil was leaking in my pan. Was also told that a clamp wasn’t tightened near my air filter or something like that. I had to get another oil change done because so much oil had leaked out. Regardless, getting my oil changed at castro costed me an extra $213 at another shop because they didn’t do their job properly. Would highly NOT recommend.

Today was my first experience with castrol ptbo. I received excellent customer service that exceeded my expectations. First, everyone seemed very happy, genuine and active. Nobody was sitting around and everyone was working together as a team. Second, I didnt feel pressured to purchase additional products, but was informed about my options. I have an older car that requires some TLC and I had a lot of queations that were all thoroughly answered with recommendations. STAY AWAY!!! Horrible place, horrible people, horrible experience. This place is super sketchy and unprofessional. They are not honest and will rip you off. Cost more then the dealerships and won't match dealership pricing. They put an oil in I didn't want and ask for and charged me more and after everything was done and I realized what happened, the guy tried to talk me into the oil that they already put in without my consent and tried to justify it. Are you serious!? They didn't even offer to put the oil I originally asked for in to make it right. Also got my winter tires put on, they said they all needed to be balanced but half a year ago when they got taken off they were perfectly fine. I've never in my life had to get 1 tire rebalanced after its been balanced once, let alone all 4 tires! It felt like a cash grab , but there's no way to prove if they were balanced or not now, I know they were fine, I don't know what I was thinking at the time, my fault for letting them do it. Also they put the wheel weights on the outside so its visible and looks bad on black rims. I asked for a manager and they said he wasn't in and there was nothing they could do. They did give me the difference back for the oil they put in that I didn't want, but again I don't want to be running that oil they put in. I have since got it changed back to the stuff I asked for. It had already taken them about an hour and a half to do all this when my dealership takes 30 minutes tops. I had to go because they took way too long and didn't have any more time to argue, they weren't listening anyways. It cost me a little over $150 to get my oil changed and tires already on rims swapped. My dealership I'm normally around $80-$90ish tax in for the same thing but quicker. I was warned to stay away from many people I talked to, but they are located in my end of town, I thought it would be convenient and I wanted to give them a chance. Don't make the same mistake I did. I beg you DO NOT GO THERE!

This place is anything but speedy! The employee said I would be in and out in 25 minutes tops, an hour later I'm still waiting (giving me time to write this review). Several employees there but only one or two actually working! One guy even took his shirt off in view of the waiting room as he was starting his shift and had to put his "uniform" on. Very unprofessional. The waiting room and washroom were untidy and dirty and the whole place seemed poorly managed.

Tyson was the main tech that helped me, and I was very impressed with him. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I will now be coming here from now on for my oil changes. Multiple times my girlfriend has gone here to get an oil change first time they told her she needed transmission fluid (when didn’t) Aswell as another family member, then engine light comes on when leaves second time and o2 sensor needs to be replaced and now her battery dies and won’t work to boost 30min after leaving your shop... what are you doing to our vehicle!!?? Do not bring your vehicles here!!!!! If think they can take advantage of you they will!

I was never told to come back and get my tires tightened. I took my car into dodge thinking my wheel bearing was done and it was because my tire was lose. I spoke with the manager and what he had to say was, "well it was on your invoice so all you had to do was read". Most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with. Not worth a dime to go to this place. Too expensive and horrible customer service. I hope the manager goes back to school to learn how to deal with customers. Worst experience ever!! Clearly this isnt new for them. Best you all go back to school, so you can do your job properly!

Clicked on services and scrolled down and found they accepted all kind of fleet companies. Get to the location and waited an hour for an oil change. Employees came out a couple times to jockey cars in position. My turn comes up and I get in the garage only to be told they don't accept fleet card. They point to the small paper sign on the door of the garage. They haven't accepted fleet cards since may. No employee mentioned it while I was waiting. I'm in a work truck with logos and roof ladders. A 2 second question asking how I was paying would have prevented this. Updating your website would have completly prevented this. Thanks for wasting an hour of my free time on a weekend! I will never recommend this company to anyone. Can't even bother to update your website sometime in the last 6 months is a joke. Horrible place of business, took 2 hours for a oil change when they said 15 minutes, their quote for oil change was off by 9 dollars .. they wont book you in so you are forced to wait.. was going to get quote for new tires but took the kid 2 hours to even get that ready before I left ... if I could give negative stars I would

MOST of the staff is great. Friendly helpful, coffee/water/newspaper etc. Owner/manager hides in the pig sty of an office...disgusting. If Castrol HQ were to walk in, Im pretty certain he would be "done"

The lead hand, Jeff, was totally on the ball and worked efficiently with his crew ...you can tell he is passionate about his trade and I have all the respect for this location. Thank you guys

I came across this location because I often drive by and this time I clearly needed an oil change. I didn't expect the amazing service I received honestly. From the moment we pulled up we were greeted with waters and a newspaper, we waited about 5 minutes till our turn. The guys work so well together. Its awesome to see them help each other out. Not one is standing around while others are working. They are very thorough and honest... They told me about issues with my car... that I already knew ;) So it was wonderful to see the honesty! I would highly recommend this location and will certainly use them again.

I had been taking my car here for oil changes since I purchased my vehicle last year. Last week I went for my regularly scheduled oil change only to find out after the oil change was completed that the price had gone from $59.99 for Synthetic Oil and Filter up to $86.99! A price hike of $27.00 from May 2017 to October 2017. When I asked why the price had gone up the employees answer was " alot of customers have asked and so has the staff". Not a legit answer to my question! Needless to say I am taking my business elsewhere because of this price hike as I find a final bill of $103.93 for an oil change to be outrageous!!

Me and a couple friends used to work there and they treated there staff like absolute garage. The manager i a loud mouth and the owner is the cheapest person I know and says he pays us well (minimum). If you need an oil change go to me lube

I recently had my brakes and rotors replaced on my vehicle. We received excellent service from Jeff and his team. They are professional and offer very reasonable prices. We had contacted a few different places to get a quote, which we got immediately. We saved $500.00! We also called the dealership to get a quote and we are still waiting to hear from them. Moved to ptbo, a year ago and needed a new mechanic, these guys take me right away and work around my work schedule(stay open late) so I can have my truck back for the next day. Put the wrong filter onto my car which ended up causing a bad leak. Had to pay $110 for a mechanic to figure out the problem and they won’t do anything about it. Before this happened would have given them a 5 star but after that I’m very displeased.
