Great guys - professional, courteous, helpful and not out to fleece you! I was in a spot, out of town, broke down and needed an anyalsis to get on with things. They purged and recharged my AC and diagnosed a failed compressor (which was correct) for free. I needed to know this to go back to the compressor warranty and so I did to the opiginal mechanic - 200 km away.. they really bailed me out out of a spot. No appointment - "come over in 1/2 hour and we can help you out".......

Went here to get a safety inspection. Car did not pass and I recieved print out of list of parts. No description or reason each failed. Don't waste your money to get a safety inspection here unless you are 100% sure it will pass because they do have lowest priced inspection in town. Things you should know about safety inspections. All inspection stations must provide a full inspection report after every inspection. If the vehicle fails they must note for every section that fails the reason. The report should look like the one you get if you pass only it will be a fail. Don't approve any costly repairs before gettin second opinion. Bring the safety report to another mechanic and ask for their opinion. Most won't charge to just take a quick look. It's unreal how this place does not provide the full inspection report that they should be filling out during the inspection. After doing some reading on the regulations pertaining to safety inspections and learned that inspectors are required to provide full reports for all inspections. I went back and asked respectfully asked if I could get a copy of the full report. They said they already gave me the report. Was told they will add descriptions to the list they gave me before. In short go to JVS. I spent more time talking about my vehicle and getting tips on passing certain issues and cost effective ways to fix others there then I did with my entire experience with Autocare Signature Tire. Recieved immensely more help and it didn't cost a penny.

Recently moved to Peterborough and needed a new shop to trust as well as work done on my 2001 Sunfire. Prices were fair and there was a discount available as well. Staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. The work on the car ended up being squeezed in that day. They seem like an honest bunch who will give you good advices. Definitely recommend!

My A/C compressor went and died so having recently moved to Peterborough I needed to find a garage. While living in Ottawa I was spoiled by the presence of Japan Auto, an excellent garage that specializes in Asian cars. I bought the car second hand and rarely used the local dealer unless it was a recall repair, so I googled best garages for A/C repair and Signature came up. I took the car in, they figured it out pretty quickly and was brought back the next day for a replacement. The dealer would have installed a factory replacement but Signature installed, with my approval and at half the cost, a reconditioned compressor. It took about 2 hours or so and voila I now have my frosty A/C back and saved a couple of bucks.i was also told the compressor was warrantied for a year.
