I highly recommend coming here. I came in for the first time for new tires during the busy tire season and I happened to walk in while they were swamped. They still saw me promptly. They are good dudes here, and Jim the owner went above and beyond for me. They will try to save you money where they can and special order items they don't have. Good job guys. YOU KNOW THE FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOU KNOW YOU ARE BEING PLAYED. This was the single worst experiences. I picked up a set of winter tires. All good. About a week later I was making a three point turn on my street and one of the tires came right off. I get my car towed to the shop. Right away explain what happened to a tire that is a week old. The manager there says we see it all the time. In my 25 years plus of driving. I've never seen that happen. So they charge me $100 For the tire and say I have a cracked rim. Which is going to cost $150. I was told by text from one of the staff. I have to pay cash as the money is being split up 3 ways. You know the feeling you get when you know you're being played. That's the feeling I got. My tires have been balanced 2 times and still get vibration at 100 km/h. So I call the Scarborough location. Said I've been sold x brand of tire. Funnily enough. They hadn't even heard of it.

I went here to get summer tires and two winter tires in march 2019. They did not balance my winter tires. My summers were mounted wrong (inside wall was on outside) brought it back and they remounted them but did not balance them at all. I asked for the small leak to be fixed as well and they didnt fix it. If you decide to go to this location you'll need to be very specific as to what needs to be done. Do inspect the work before you leave! If you dont know about tires bring someone with you to check.

I HOPE NOT ALL EMPLOYEES ARE AS UN-KNOWLEDGEABLE AS THE EMPLOYEE I DEALT WITH..... I was in the shop on Saturday October 27th looking for a price for steel rims for the winter tires for my vehicle. The guy at the counter asked me the type of vehicle that I had. I told him and that I wanted 18" Rims. My vehicle has a 20" rim option as that is what my summer tires are but 18" are the factory size. The guy I was dealing with told me that 18" rims do not come on my vehicle that factory is 17" or the 20". The employee then tried to sell me a set of alloy rims for $800 plus install and taxes. When I told him I just wanted steel rims he again told me that steel rims would not fit on my car. He then told me that the break calipers would be to big because my car has 20" on it now.. Still don't know how he knows this with out looking at my car. Well thanks a lot for the WRONG information.. 18" rims are factory size and steel ones are available for my vehicle. I also went elsewhere and got a set new for under $250.. I will never come back to your store unless I am looking for bad advice again. I recommend to anyone that deals with this employee that you do your own homework and find out what rims you can use before going in. If I knew his name I would tell you to ask for an employee other than him....

Did not find them as trustworthy or honest this time around in 2019. They happily took back my two year old Winter tires (Michelin X-Ice) in excellent condition as a trade for a cheap Chinese knock-off tire set. In addition to the trade I was charged for the set -- at a rate just slightly less had I bought them brand new elsewhere! When questioned and asked for a return of my original tires within a 48 hour period, I was told they had been sold. I had thought I would need a different tire because of a move into a snowier location! These 'great tires' they convinced me to buy are in fact not effective in the conditions I now face. Will never buy tires from this company again. Warning to other women out there.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience. As a young female my fear is always being taken advantage of but from the first phone call I was greeted with great customer service and information that I could use to attain what look I wanted on my old truck. I ended up working with the owner Jim because I was unsure of the offset needed with my flares and current universal spacers being already on my truck. He went back and forth with me making sure I was getting what I wanted with the look I wanted. I was pretty specific. He offered me an amazing deal that I couldn’t walk away from for price. I even have some friends in the business that asked how I got such a good deal for new tires and rims. On the day of installation I wasn’t totally happy with the offset and Jim rectified it super fast with no added charge. The look was amazing and I left super happy and smiling. The following day I went to get the tires torqued (as they tell you to do with it 100kms) and he had his guys come out and adjust my truck and tie back some plastic that was making a rubbing sound. No more rubbing after that. That was another hour of their time and he didn’t charge me for it. He just said “if you don’t leave happy then I’m not happy”. They were so amazing I couldn’t help but bring the hardworking staff some coffee. They all abided covid protocols and even though they were busy it really makes you feel like a family. If I could drive around with a poster saying buy here I would. 10/10 go see them!

My wife quoted a few places for tires and this place was the best price for our tires. We took the car and before advising about any conditions for replacement, they started the job and broken parts of the car and also didn't take any responsibility for it. It cost me a little more than $400 to replace the parts. They bame the car and also the manufacturers even tho the car is only 2 1/2 years old and they said its a used car. They try to get it as fastest they can to start a second car and are not very careful with our property. Watch out if you still wants to take your car over.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!! Just my luck get a flat snow tire on the first snow fall of the year. Had been to a few big box stores Sun morning and no one had the time for a repair. 2nd Time Around was just as busy as all the other shops, but made time and squeezed in the repair. I got a flat tire on the road and its too early in the morning and i do not know where to go to change my tire. I know i need a new one as my tire blowup. The CAA told me to find in google used tire shop and i came across this shop. I have no appointment but they took me in and i was able to get new winter tires for less. And whats so good about them is you only pay for the tires, the service is FREE if you buy the tires from them. CAA took me there at 8:15am and my car is done by 8:45am. Fast, reliable, good price and very accomodating staffs. I think thats everything i can ask for. I will surely come back for all my tire services. Kudos 2nd time around!

Went in yesterday to have 2 tires changed....sat around for over 2 hours before it was my cars turn....car went in, took another 2 hours to change the tires....2 tires DO NOT take 2 hours to change. Got home after a couple hours of running around to find that one of the tires isnt holding air and they apparently lost one of the factory valve caps without telling me. Im VERY dissapointed in the service and after several decades of my family and i buying tires there, i will not be returning and ill be making certain to steer anyone else i know AWAY from 2nd Time.

Sounds like you guys really suck! I just read all your reviews, lots of bad ones that seem from genuine unhappy non returning customers a couple of whom got on the highway and their cars were shaking from improperly balanced tires, one who thinks he was stolen from, and a couple who had Damage Done to their car during the install and we're treated very poorly and even lied to. Most of the good reviews look like they came from friends and family and sound very bogus. What a joke!

Great service and staff. Had a tire with a nail in it they tried to fix, but couldn't because the inner tube was bulging. When I put the spare tire on, I broke a couple of the studs the bolts go onto, but Jim and his staff where able to fix those too. They even found a tire to match the other 3 on the van and were able to get everything done in an hour.

If this is your first winter in Canada Don't get them here. Ran over a screw the first month and they were to busy to fix it. There supposed to fix it for free. Had to go pay _30.00 to have it fixed. I bought my brand new '19 Ram 1500 Express Blackout here to get a different set of tires, but after talking with Jim and some thinking I traded in my new wheels and tires and a old set for a new set of American Racing wheels and Evergreen tires. EXTREMELY Disappointed. Made appointment only to find out they sold our tires...we walked in, gave our keys and sat and it wasn't until we inquired one hour later that we found out that our tires weren't in the store...We asked how can that be, they were ordered two weeks ago, they said they sold them. They said we should have been told when we arrived...they offered us other tires, and were told we would be rushed in, only to sit again for another hour and they almost pulled another vehicle into bay ahead of ours again, they also said they would have two people work on it to get it out faster for the inconvenience, never happened. As we sat and waited for our issue to be resolved, another customer encountered SAME issue. Although they offer a competitive price organization is a issue and customer service is lacking. They did offer us a different tire, but still made us wait and looked at us like why would you be upset....WE WAITED OVER THREE HOURS for tires ordered two weeks in advance, that you sold, and acted like it wasn't a big deal. Would rather spend a tad more and go to Taunton Tires.

Took my van to get 4 new tires which was great but the mechanic did not put back my hub caps on properly and one fell off and was lost. My vehicle need the caps to protect the area from road salt etc. Call Jim Love who appears to not care about customer service, just taking your money and sending you out the door. VERY BAD PRACTICE JIM!!!!! I would never go their again because of my experience and would not recommend my friends, family or anyone who value their property.

I drove over an hour to purchase tires for my Chevy impala.. I was told they had one set left of p225/60r16 only to get there to be told they were just sold to a lady.. I then received p215/60r16 (smaller tires) for the same price. They are unsafe as they are weather cracked with the belts pertruding from the sidewalls. I am hoping their customer service is well handled as they will not even last The season . I currently feel like my hard earned money has been wasted ..The sales representative was Nik.

They will tell you one thing/ price for your trade in and then start changing the story around or tell you that they dont really want your trade in and begin to low ball you. Not to mention their prices are higher than other s in the area, Costco, Taunton Tire, etc..

These guys do my summer/winter changeover every year. They are always fast and courteous. This summer, I had a bad vibration and told them of the problem. They brought me in and rebalanced all 4 summer tires. The car now runs perfectly! They did not even charge me for the balancing. This was an awesome goodwill gesture! These guys are awesome! They get extremely busy after the first snowfall, so I suggest you plan you’re changeovers ahead of time.

When you find yourself in such an uncharted territory as auto mechanic and other related fields, you have to really depend on the professionals in the field to make your ultimate decisions. Helping its customers make an informed decision is what this shop stands for and I am glad I made the decision to use their services. The owner Jim is very well spoken and also pays attention to the needs of his customers. Without being sentimental, I appreciated the fact that I am always heard in the midst of the busyness of the shop. More so, recently brought in my punctured tire and was informed after the repairs that they will not be billing me for the labour because the tire was purchased from them several months back. If you've heard of them and are still contemplating on trying them out, contemplate no more as a trial will convince you.

Good prices on new tyres here. You stand to save hundreds compared to dealer and auto shop prices. I've always found them efficient and generally good service. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my tyre purchases.

They might think they know how to do there job but for them to switch a tire off and out a tire with another rim on and tighten up takes a hole 15 mins for one tire just be worked to be wating grab a coffee go for a walk or go buy something don't think they will be fast either way if you have an appointment best to just learn to do your self I guess why these guess are in bssniess idk I even have time to right a review

Went in looking for some rims and rubber for my 2500, spoke with Jim and he hooked me up! Gave him an idea of what I was looking for and he showed me 2-3 options for rims and they were exactly what I was looking for. Picked a rim and then went on to explain what I wanted in a tire, Jim mentioned a mud terrain tire which I thought was going to be too aggressive and have horrible road noise, especially when pulling my camper 2-3 hours with 2 kids and a wife, listening to tires howling the whole way. Jim assured me that the tires wouldn’t be that loud and he thought I’d be happy with them. I’m glad I listened to him because the truck looks sharp and gives off the aggressive stance/look I was picturing, and the tires aren’t as loud as I anticipated. Yes they do have some noise, but hardly noticeable, even at 120 on the highway. I’ve been using 2nd time around for all my vehicles for over a decade now. They’ve always treated me good, gave me fair pricing and quick service. They are sometimes hard to get a hold of on the phone, but I don’t mind, if they are that busy, they’re clearly doing something right! I’d recommend these guys (and gal) every time.

Very poor poor service, today phoned for info re tire registration which they told us we would receive in the mail and now almost 3 months later still have not received it, also when phoning today to check if we could just walk in for the free tire rotation, I was put on hold twice for 30 minutes each and finally hung up. I purchased 2 snow tires from Second Time Around Tire for my VW to be put on my existing rims. The service person who did the switch of only one tire broke my lock nut key did not tell me it was broken. I was told that the lock nut was seized and would need to be removed by a mechanic. I bought a new lock nut key and took my car to a VW dealership where they switched the second tire and I was informed that the lock nut was a little tight but not seized. I cost me extra money and a lot of extra time to have the snow tire put on as a result of the incompetence of Second Time Around Tire. I won't be going back.

I bought 3 sets of tires from here. Each set of tires , I had to bring back to them because they did not balance them correctly. They seem very nice and knowledgeable at the front desk but i seriously question the people actually installing the tires.I had the same excuse every time that my weights must of fell off, which if you have any mecanical background you know this doesn’t regularly happen. Also , one of my rims had mud on the inside of the rim . I told them to make sure the mud was wiped off , and he assured me they would make sure the rim was clean before balancing. Sure enough I get the keys back , go to my vehicle and the rim was just as muddy as I brought it in. Now I washed them and have a slight vibration at high speed . This was the second set of tires I bought there. Now the third set ... ( BTW I bought all 3 sets of tires at the same time) . These winter tires were just installed. Sure enough , I hit the highway and I have a terrible vibration , I go back and they tell me the same thing , that I lost a wheel weight ( Which I know was a Lie because I painted my rims black and there was no mark of a missing weight) so they rebalance and today I hit the highway again and now the vibration got worse. So I have to go back again... I have spent 15 evenings after work to get all this rebalancing done , and I am fed up,... I do a lot of travelling and cannot stand doing another 900km trip with a shaking steering wheel !! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it’s been nothing but headaches .

Probably the worst shop I've seen in my life. Over priced offshore garbage, sketchy owner seems like he's pretending to be the boss instead of actually running this place. Half the employees dont know how to do thier job correctly, slow unorganized. Poor management, horrible parking the place is a pit of mud. The equipment looks outdated and unsafe. I feel sorry for anyone who has ever had the misfortune to do business with this clown.

We got some beautiful copper rims and new tires. Jim and staff are the best. Unfortunately within hours of installation, a young driver in our household managed to completely damage both rims on passenger side by scraping alongside a curb (still shaking my head on how it happened). Damage could not be repaired. We called Jim right away and asked how / if he could help us, even though this unfortunate event had nothing to do with him and was purely the fault of our young driver. We're not sure how Jim did it, but within 24 hours he was able to secure us 2 new replacement rims at a more than reasonable cost to us. He could have easily charged us full cost for replacement and labour cost for the hassle, but truly truly thankful for his big heart and treating us with his special touch . Thank you Jim and your team. We will confidently refer anyone we know in future who may need your services. Truly happy, thankful and grateful.

I don't usually go out of my way to write reviews but I was thoroughly impressed with how these guys took care of me as a customer. I ordered a rim and tire package for my truck. Turns out there was a slight mix-up and they ordered the wrong tires. They ordered the right tires and booked me in for the install that same week at a time that was good for me. Very professional and courteous staff made the effort to accommodate me due to the inconvenience. Prices are more competitive than in Toronto. If the tires ever need re-balancing they'll do it for free.

Went there with a totally stripped lugnut on my jeep liberty. These guys were awesome and were able to remove it quickly and super cheap. Every other mechanic was saying they had to torch it off and these guys made it look simple! Thanks again guys I'll definitely be coming to you for new rubbers!

I have done business with 2nd time several times before and have always been happy. I went in to the store as I was trying to get some tires and rims for my 72 Chevelle. I had some great discussion but got absolutely no where in getting any kind of follow up. I called numerous times, visited the store three times and all I got was promises to "get back to me". I was hugely disappointed in the lack of interest in helping me and getting my business. If you don't want it.....just tell me and I would of moved on.

Ended up with a leak in my tire, called this morning to see if they would be able to look at it and fix it. The lady on the phone told me to bring it in any time during the day and they would take a look. I showed up, the waiting room was full (busy little place). I was told there was a few people ahead of me which I didn’t mind because it was definitely something I needed to get looked at and fixed. Even with a few people ahead I was in and out just over an hour! The staff was really kind and professional. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I won’t go anywhere else for my tires!

I was in the market for a lift/tire/rim pkg. I went to a bunch of diffrent shops with prices I just couldn't afford. Had almost given up all hope until I made one more stop at 2nd time Around and was extremely happy from the moment I walked in. Louie (sorry if I spelled that wrong) helped me along the way piece together an amazing package that I'm just ecstatic with. I cant stop looking at my truck. Where the other guys quoted 6000$+ I left 2nd time just over 4k for lift/rim/tire. Worst place ever!!! Went there today the front staff was extremley rude. Had a flat tire and asked if I could have a tire replaced. Was told without appointment i would have to come back on Wednesday... went down the street to Speedy and had the tire changed within the hour. I do not recommend this place.
