I was driving between Grande Prairie and Kamloops pulling a trainer with two quads on it on the weekend. I had the bearings go in my trailer on a Sunday. Dan was open and helped me out. He was wonderful to deal with and a huge lifesaver for my trip. I was extremely happy with his service!

Great mechanic came in on a Sunday morning when I called him late on a Saturday and diagnosed the problem ordered the part and would have fixed it right then if the part was avaliable. He also only charged me for an hour and a half although he worked a good four hours and that's what his software said it should take. It wasn't his fault as bolts were over toked and what not so he had some trouble getting it apart. Highly recommend

Well thanks to Dennis I was able to have my wife's yukon fixed without breaking the bank. And believe me when I say if it went to any other mechanic it would have. We've had one of the worst month with 2 family deaths and then stranded in hinton with 2 broke down vehicles. He did a great job and was sympathetic to our situation. He did his best to make us happy and was very good.

Dennis is amazing! I had initially gone to a dealership and they misdiagnosed the issue. Took my car to him when the power steering shut down while I was driving. Got my car in right away and inspected it! He figured out the issue, I bought the parts needed and he installed them the next day! He did a fantastic job, haven’t had any problems! 10/10 customer service, great guy!

Dennis is an honest person and his honesty makes the difference. I asked for an estimate from vara automotive with all parts provided by myself and got 1200 dollars of estimate for only 5 hours job and Dennis without knowing that I already had an estimate, he gave me more than half price for the same amount of hours. He does a better job and he is not corrupted like other mechanics that I have already contacted. Good job Dennis and thanks for your honesty and being a real human being.

I drove from edmonton without having torqued my tires onto my car properly. Without any hesitation he told me I could pull up and he would help me out. SInce no other place was open at that time on the weekend I was very lucky. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly guy who told me that I didn't have my tires on nearly tight enough and fixed my issue without making a big dent on my travel time. Totally would recommend this place and should I ever need help when I'm in that area again they will be the first ones I take my car to.

Our van broke down in Jasper on the Canada Day Long weekend. Dennis came highly recommended by the AMA tow truck driver. He took his time with trying to diagnose the problem we had and not just throwing money at it in hopes of fixing it. Dennis is a real mechanic. I’d go here again. Sooo....hmmmmm....well...i was completely hooped ..went for a roadtrip with my best friend...needless to say a wheel hub assembly blew up and destroyed alot of stuff...i limped it to some place called D A M turns out hes an old co worker and i remember him...thought ot couldnt get better then that....well at first i bought what parts he said too then turns out he sat me down and took time....on a Sunday to show me with a fine tooth comb all that was wrong and it turns out i needed more stuff..checked over a couple other things to make sure and said he would take care of me...i had to get parts ordered in so i frequently visited his shop for the couple days i was stuck just to watch him work and honestly the time he takes to look at other things not even pertaining to what the customer just wanted done is bar none...turns out he did the one side late Tuesday and i wouldnt be leaving until wednesday sure i was frustrated but it was all worth it..called him he said i could come in and grab it and i asked how much the bill was for basically a new front end and was blown away and did not hesitate with clearing up the bill..i showed up and he said he fixed my exhaust and adjusted all my air pressure..i mentioned about my exaust being loose and he said no problem ill fix it...he also showed me a piece that welded itself to the spindle and extra work he did...he did...once i pulled out of his shop lot i was astonished how my truck felt amd was more excited to hit the highway...100 percent better..i have never felt my old tightie whitie feel that smooth since i got it..dont hesitate and go somewhere else just go for DAM good service and see Dennis...hands down the best most solid reliable trustworthy and honest mechanic i have ever met...truly next to impossible to come across but theres 1 in hinton alberta of all places..sorry for the long review but too bad it was worth the sore thumbs...definately 5 star service...thank u for the amazingly awesome drive back to kamloops...worth it to me to pay the extra 65 bucks for gas for the suspension work i need done soon...see u after winter

Phoned Dennis on a Saturday night in a huge jam! no other mechanics would even answer their phone let alone work on the weekend. Blew the transfer case in 3 pieces on our truck Dennis came in early Sunday and installed the new one in record time, considering how much damage was done. Excellent quality workmanship, unbeatable rates, did I mention he came in and worked on a Sunday in Hinton? Would send anyone who needs work done to him before anywhere else in Hinton! You saved our buts man, we can not thank you enough! Great guy great service !

Highly recommended! My Jeep was overheating as I was passing through town and Dennis was able to look at it right away. He did excellent diagnostics and took the time to explain things and answer any questions I had. Very knowledgable and experienced. I’m glad I called this shop! I broke down going through Hinton pulling my camper.He got me in right when he was closing and figured out the problem that night for me so he could order parts early the next morning. He even let my family and I set up the camper in his yard and even offered power and water hookups until my parts came in. I would recommend him to everyone who needs repairs

Volvo XC 90 brakes failures over the civic long weekend. Answered his emergency phone and showed up at his shop in 10mins. It was an unusual braking problem and he diagnosed it in minutes. He checked for parts but could only get at Volvo dealer. Then gave good advice if I decided to drive back home. Did not even charge, but I tipped him anyways. Good guy. You don't find mechanics like him around much.

Highly recommend! I saw the other reviews which lead me to call Dennis as I was travelling through Hinton. Am I ever glad I did as he went out of his way to make time for us. He is very knowledgeable and a great guy. As a fellow tradesman I respect his knowledge and would reccomend him to anyone who needs a mechanic. Dennis was amazing! We were in Jasper on our Honeymoon when our front brakes went. It was a Sunday of a long weekend and we were stranded 7 hours from home. We called Dennis who walked us through what he thought it might be. He called his supplier who was able to get the parts we needed and then Dennis repaired everything in under 3 hours as we went for lunch. He phoned us a couple of times throughout that 3 hours to give us updates on what he was finding and get our approval before going ahead with things. When we came back he showed us what had happened to our brakes and explained how the brake issues happened. We've never had a mechanic who cares so much not only about his craft but also the people that he is serving. If we lived in Hinton area we would for sure be switching to Dennis as our regular mechanic as we've never felt so much trust, honesty & confidence in a mechanic before!

Knowledgable, explains what the issue is, shows you what associated causes/issues with the repair, friendly, and all this was done on a Saturday afternoon! He was able to give an educated diagnosis just from the symptoms over the phone, and was right on the button (only people who know their stuff can do that) Highly recommended by us! If could give 10 stars, I would. Anyone who has any issues in or near Hinton, call this guy! He appreciates his customers, doesn't charge you through the nose, and works fast!

D.A.M Mechanics was absolutely amazing and possibly saved my families life. We were driving home from Jasper and we started having trouble with our front end pretty bad. Couldn't find a open Mechanic on a Sunday at 12:30, called Dennis at D.A.M Mechanic and he not only answered the phone, he found the problem in seconds! And was able to fix the problem right there on the spot! Me and the kids didn't even need to get of the truck! He informed us that if that tire had fallen off we would have rolled over!!!!!!!! This Mechanic is not only a great one but his compassion to help us and he didn't even want to accept payment! I would highly recommend this Mechanic to anyone in Hinton.

Very helpful. Took vehicle in late at night. Diagnosed problem, but couldn’t fix so wouldn’t charge us anything. At dealer who have electrical info on their vehicles minimum diagnosis is $149. A great and honest first option!!!!

We were camping in the area when our vehicle started shaking with a SES light blinking. Base on comments on Google we went to DAM where Dennis, in no time, plugged in his code reader and detected miss firing on cylinder 1. Quickly recommended, based on history a spark plug failure so a replacement. His diagnosis and estimate was bang on. Issue was fixed within the duration. We could get back on our vacation.
