People were very nice... But I had a couple specific problems with my vehicle that they were unable to diagnose. They charged me $2000 to do random little flushes etc and DID NOT FIX my car. I took it back from them before they ripped me off any further. I'm a nice guy, and don't like conflict, so I was polite and courteous about it. I have a suspicion I was taking advantage of for being nice. Not impressed.

I'm there today for a wheel alignment, Ron is the mechanic who dealt me, and he is very knowledgeable, resourceful and patient. I consider myself a "mechanically inclined" person, and I take pride taking care of my car. However I do have some concerns about my vehicle, so I address them to Ron, he offered to take a test drive WITH ME!!(you don't get that with dealer), so along the way, we share the information and point out where might be the issue(All this has nothing to do with wheel alignment at all, and he is willing to share, that alone is something you don't see everywhere.) Besides being a nice guy and a good teacher, HE EVEN AGREE FOR ME TO GO TO THE SHOP and SHARE HIS EXPERIENCE. So the whole process was done right in front of my eye, and he explain every thing I have trouble understanding. To me, understand why is the most important thing! and all I got charged is the wheel alignment which is still $50 cheaper than what dealer offered. I will recommend to go check them out!! Because from this experience, I trust them and I get to learn from guys with years of experiences~Thanks!

I love these guys. I had been told by another mechanic a few months back that I needed both front and rear brakes.I had used Bert's a few times before with my wife's car and decided to hold off and let Bert's do the brake job. I dropped off the vehicle at Bert's, with the full expectation that I would required a complete brake job....front and back. I was called a few hours later and told that I, in fact, only needed the front brakes done. Who does that nowadays? Finding a mechanic you can trust is awesome. I highly recommend Bert's.

I took my vehicle there for alignment and a couple of small jobs (headlight alignment, suspension issue). They told me they needed to complete additional work for the suspension (which was ok). I was told at the end of the day they could not complete the work on time an asked for more time. 8 business days later I was charged $1270. I was told I had additional brake issues they did not fix - and then didn't complete the other jobs that were requested. The only thing that was fixed was the alignment and after going to a brake specialist shop (to get my car fixed AGAIN) was told the info my mechanic provided as front brake issues was wrong. To top off my wonderful pick up I stood around for 25 minutes while they brought my car around to the front. Mechanic was friendly but I was ripped off and I feel they abandoned the work on my car because it was taking too long. Never again.

Good work, Bad Communication. I took my car in and was told that because I had aftermarket parts my service would be more than regular. I was given two prices which I approved, and instructed them to begin work. After I was then told a few other things that were going to be done to the vehicle... I thought these things were falling under the prices I was given, and wasn't told that they weren't until it was time to pay. In the end they tried to charge me $450 more than what I was originally quoted. They brought it down to $160 more when I expressed the lack of clarity in their communication, but that was still a much lighter wallet than I was expecting.

It was Friday, June 30, 2017 and my 2008 Impala had just puked the used CV joint that my home mechanic had used to repair it all over the parking lot at WEM. It was 11:00am and we were on vacation from Medicine Hat. What was I to do? I used Google and Bert's came up as the best reccomened place close to WEM. I called them and then AMA. They were honest at Bert's. They said they probably couldn't get it in until Tuesday. I was fine with that as I had a friend to lend us wheels over the weekend. And something about the receptionist gave me a good vibe. The tow truck arrived and we got to Bert's. I signed in the car and sat down to wait for my son to finish shopping with his family and pick me up. It was about 3pm. Meanwhile one of Bert's mechanics toon a look at my car, properly diagnosed the problem, brought it into the shop and started cleaning up the area from all the grease that had been flung out of the CV boot when it failed. Parts were ordered and arrived in 45 minutes. The repair was done and I was out with a bill just under $400 and all new parts in the CV joint and half shaft. Happy long weekend and Bert's - you are the very best!

My work truck needed an alignment due to worn and replaced front end components. Berts fit me in on short notice. They made and kept their appointment. I was told two hours for the job and it was done in one. I've had a lot of alignments done and this is the first time that the techs didn't try to force me into new tires or other parts that I don't need. Alignment shops typically try pressure sales and virtual blackmail to get extra work, but Berts is not your typical alignment shop. No BS. They just did the job on time, on budget, and most importantly, they did it right. I'll definitely be back. ......I just thought I would add a follow up. It’s been 10 months now since Bert’s did an alignment on my Chev Express 3500 cube van. I’ve been running these vans for 20 years now, and I have never had such even tire wear as I’ve had for the past 10 months. Bravo!

Fantastic! A friendly shop with credible mechanics that will talk to you straight, do a great job, and leave you satisfied. I found this place through a referral when I was looking for a place to do a wheel alignment. I was reluctant as it was across the city. As it turn out, it was worth the 25 minute drive. Unable to complete the road test after the alignment due to a January dump of snow, I came back 3 weeks later without a problem. Ron took his time to identify my handling problems, which were worn tires. Took time to do what he could with my summer tires, made some solid recommendations, and left my car better than when I brought it in. I have a strong distrust of mechanics earned by many deficient experiences over 30 years. Finding a great mechanic like Ron and Bert's Auto & Tire is a massive relief. They'll be my go to from now on. Highly recommended. Trustworthy. Honest, Credible.

avoid this place at all costs. I took my truck there to get new wheel bearings installed. when I went to pick my truck up they informer me that after the work was done my ABS wasn't working anymore But it was probably something that was there before I brought my truck in. Then I noticed on my bill that they charged me to remove & balance my tires when they were fine. after talking to them about the ABS they told me to bring it back and they would fix it at no extra charge. So I did as I needed to be fixed. When I went to go pick my truck up again they had a bill for me & I said to them that they told me there would be no charge as it was an issue they started from not doing the first job properly, then they refused to give me my keys until I paid the bill. so on top of the first bill that was paid I had to pay an additional bill for there mistakes. Now looking at there reviews I see anyone who gives them a good review gets told to go on there Facebook page to get a 25.00 dollar off any service coupon. So they are paying people off for good reviews. Your response below is a perfect example of how this business is run they just deny any bad work or reviews. If you have no record of me then why did my credit card have charges from you guy's? either you are lying or you have committed credit card fraud.

Had my 2012 Silverado in for new Michelin defender tires , they put them on my summer rims and took my winter tires and rims off . Not a big deal right WRONG they did exactly what I wanted I had 48 lug nuts with two different locks and keys ,they had to deal with and put it all back in the box that I keep them in . Also did wheel alignment . I am a very happy customer! Thank you to all the staff for taking care of my ride . I’ll update how the tires are in 6 months ????. Update November 2, 2021 tires are wearing well , they all are at 12/32 . Rotated with 9100 km on them . On hwy they grip ,track good and good in rain . City driving as well good so far . As quiet as my Goodyear LS 2 that I had on from factory. But with a lot more grip . Good tire so far .

I would highly recommend this shop. After researching prices for a set of new tires, I was able to get the best price from Bert’s. Appointment time was honoured and work completed well within the promised time period. Atmosphere is non-rushed and the appointments, invoicing, etc. are handled by very pleasant women in the front office. They even had all the necessary rebate paperwork ready with my invoice. Getting a bottle of Bert’s spice was a nice touch as well.

As a mechanic myself, friends and family often to to me for advise. I have referred many customers to Berts and have always advised and followed up on the work suggested and completed. Always happy with the fact that there is no needless work suggested. One occasion stands out when a dealer suggested $8000 in work on a newer Jeep with low mileage. I reviewed the quote, advised what i felt was necessary and needless and then suggested she have Berts look at the jeep. They mirrored my comments to her with no prompting. final bill was under $2000. excellent service, knowledgeable tech's, no "commission" service writers. Proof that you can run a business with out the upsell.

Really good experience, I brought in my lowered car for an alignment after having some issues with other shops and they were able to get the alignment dialled in to perfection and even took the time to ensure my coilovers were all set up to the exact same height. Came to fix the tire rod. Parts: are overpriced by 20% what you normally pay at the regular store e.g Bumper to Bumper. Labour: I supposed to pay $139 an hour but every extra adjustment is charged additional labour charge. So it is not $139 it is more like $200. Service: it was okay. Had to email back and forth to ensure I get my quote reduced. Overall nice people but they charge like any other shop. I was hoping for more honest invoice based on the reviews I read.

Bert's Auto & Tires provides the care and service that has kept me traveling across the city regularly even when I had a dealership warranty plan elsewhere. They provide a personal touch - assessing wear and tear but not doing the unnecessary. Going into my third decade with them, I have never thought of going elsewhere.

Awesome Business, highly recommended! I have utilized Bert's Auto since the early '80s when my Dad first introduced me to this shop, and have never felt the need to go elsewhere! My children who are now young adults have also been very happy with the work they have had carried out at Bert's Auto. I am very detail oriented (fussy) when it comes to my vehicles; as such Bert's Auto is the only shop that I will allow to do the wheel alignments on my vehicles as well as some other work scopes beyond my own capabilities. The experience is great, right from when you come in the front at reception through talking with the mechanics when something is identified as needing replaced or adjusted; If there are any problems or issues I know they are always honest and realistic. All work done has always been to a very high standard.

I took my 350z in today, was greeted by a very nice receptionist. I had a 1pm appointment and they where ready as soon as i got there. I have a lowered car on coilovers, the camber and the toe where very bad i was getting tire wear. I am very happy with the work that was done,my car drives straight as an arrow now. The mechanic also fixed an issue with my exhaust rubbing on a brace bar that causing a rattle. They go above an beyond here. Very happy

Allow me to explain how I ended up at Bert's Auto & Tires Recently installed a 3” lift kit on a brand new Nissan truck. I took it to XX Motors who claim to be “wheel alignment experts”. After stripping out the alignment bolts, multiple arguments, paying for 2 alignments, and 3 failed alignments. This truck still wouldn't track straight, and had to be taken to another shop ........ for a fourth alignment. This is when I discovered Bert's with a Google search. Bert’s Auto & Tires have experience with modified vehicles, they aligned this truck perfectly, without any issues, the first time, and in under an hour. It is truly a pleasure to deal with people who know what the Hell they are doing.

$163.80 to mount and balance two tires! Never ever have been charged more than $35.00 per tire anywhere. Bert's not my choice, auto body shop used them. Don't know how anyone can justify this amount. Beware!

I called this shop in the morning and asked if they could swap out my summer/winter tires in the same day. At first it was a 'probably' and after specifically asking if they can get it done it today as I needed my vehicle the next morning it was 'yea we could do it today'. 30 minutes later when dropping my truck off their response was 'we cant promise we can do it today'. Wasted an hour of my time. Not trustworthy. I do not recommend this place if you value your time/schedule.
