Little disappointing. Had some exhaust pipe welded onto my car. It leaks. 'pinholes' that blow considerable amounts of airflow through both pipes that were welded on. I paid nearly $150 for the work. I called, they agreed to fix it. Went back for another appointment. 'Fixed'. Still blowing tons of air from the left side and a bit from the right. $150 for 2 pipes to be bent and welded on, 2 appointments later, and still holes blowing air. Contact me if you'd like to fix the issue. I guess I'll have to tape it until I'm forced to let it rust off over the winter to get another shop to do it right next time. I'd stay clear of here if you need weld work done. Bill was relatively nice.

THEY GAVE MY CAR KEYS TO ANOTHER CLIENT. Went to pick up my car on Friday and they had given my keys to the client before me, it wasn't even the same model of vehicle. My keys contained personal information and other keys. When we asked how we would be compensated for this horrible service and security violation we were told there would be 0 discount and told "oh so I guess you're perfect then are you". The client with my keys was away all weekend and we were without keys Friday - Monday. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

I rarely if ever write reviews but felt the need to here. This is my second time at Wonder Auto both times have been a good experience, I have close family member that is a mechanic, he does almost all the work on my car but when it came to the exhaust work that I needed to be have done he suggested to go find a muffler shop; as they have the correct welding equipment (a dealership doesn't and will take longer and cost more). My co-worker recommended this shop and they did not disappoint. The service tech (Jeremy) is very upfront and honest, I don't feel as I am being ripped off or pressured to do extra work when it's not necessary. If you need exhaust work done, just go here.

i wen't to get my suspension done over at wonder auto & tire they did an alright job for 400$ witch i though was a decent price for the work, but then a few hours later my alternator died; thinking it was the battery i replaced it turns out it was the alternator i thought to my self ok its an old car i really can't blame anyone for that. so i went back he said the alternator was dead and he could replace it for 600$ witch is no where near the same work as getting a new suspension done so i though that was a bit pricey so i found someone else, he installed the new alternator and month or so past by and everything was working fine. but i noticed the the alignment was a bit off so i took the tire off to adjust it; doing that i notice that the suspension was not installed properly; the rubber mounts were not installed with the adjustable spacers so i called; not in the best mood mind you but he very calmly said he would take a look; he did fix it i drove my car home but had to take a different route because of the traffic and the location of the shop everything seemed find like usual and for some odd reason one of the mechanics followed me to take that detour i didn't really make much of it he probably couldn't turn the car around for some reason even tho i saw them do it previously but maybe he was done the car at the same time as mine so i'm guessing he was test driving it to see if the job was done properly though it was weird didn't really make much of it. but get this when i started my car late that night it wouldn't start. after getting a new battery and alternator the previous month and driving my car fine for a month or so; i had to narrow down the problem to the shop i called this morning on the 13 of January 2017 only to find out that the guy who did the work on the 12 of January 2017 is now on vacation for a week. So this was my experience with wonder auto & tire if i could give less then one star i would the only star that belongs there is for the nice lady that answers the phone.

The manager, George, showed us true Canadian hospitality when he realized what we'd been through that day and refused to take our money for a small repair; something we never see in the USA. If we could, we would come here for all our auto service needs.

Took my car in and before approving the work, decided to get a second opinion based on the high quote ($740 to fix my windshield whipper linkage). Another garage quoted me at 1/2 the price and when I followed up with my dealership they agreed that I should be paying only about 1/2 the price quoted by Wonder. Not to mention, the mechanic I chose to do the job (for $300) reviewed my previous bill from 6-weeks prior and said that I was definitely "gouged." Very disappointing and frustrating. We won't be taking our car(s) here again.

Went there for my MVI said there was 3400 dollars in damage that needed to be fix. 18 parts that needed to be replaced in order to pass insection. Took for a second option else where half the list they found nothing wrong with and the other half they are doing for less than half the original cost. Never go here if you want a fair and accurate assessment of your car.

My Jeep had serious trembles in the steering when driving over bumps and became a serious issue.. went in one morning to get it check out at Wonder Tire and the guy who took it out for a test drive said to me when returning “you shouldn’t drive that crap”. My Jeep being a brand new Jeep Wrangler I’m not happy hearing that from an employees mouth and if you’re going to comment on my vehicle be professional about it. Then goes on to tell me the problem is replacing my tires for $1100.. Common sense is telling me it’s not just my tires so I take me Jeep else where and found out the obvious problem was my steering was completely shot and to mention my tires were in still amazing condition for another couple years.. Wonder Tire gave me awful service and couldn’t even find a major problem that could have caused a serious accident. Highly don’t recommend this place.

I received the quote over the phone, and made an appointment with them based on their price point for struts and installation. I took a day off work to get my struts replaced on my Dodge Ram. They rolled my truck in and just before they start the work the guy at the desk says we made a mistake on your quote it's actually way to cost you 200 more dollars. There was no attempt to honour the original quote which he admitted was given to me or even meet me halfway. It was basically if you want the work done today and it's already here you'll pay that amount otherwise you won't. Bait and switch tactics don't work on me so I asked my keys and left. I still don't have the work done yet, but I will find someone that once they settle price they honour it.

Went there to get warranty on brakes because I was selling car to nephew and needed service. I was assured warranty would be good when ownership transferred. It wasn't as my nephew discovered. Also noticed estimate changed halfway through installation. Said they forgot an almost $300 part. When I asked about the gift card they promised they gave me a card with 25 written in ink on it. Haven't tried it. Cheers

This is more pf a 2.5 out of 5 stars. Friebdly people. However, I have had two issues with this place. 1. They killed my battery when replacing my Altinator and I was force to pay for the battary when it wasn't my fault that the battary was killed. 2. They told me my issue was the Power Steering Pump when in fact it wasn't. The problem was the Tension Pully completely siezed up. If I went with them it would have cost me double. Furthermore, tire changes are way too expensive here. I don't think I'll ever go there again even though the people are friendly and always get me in when I call.

Had our old car in several times for an issue and after charging us twice but it still kept happening, we were told "We could take a car apart and put it back together and still never find the problem." Are you serious? Isn't that your JOB?? Took the car to the dealership and they figured it out in minutes. We used to go here based on a recommendation from a friend. We realized that this person didn't have a clue when it came to cars. I refer to this pace as "Wonder-how-they're-still-in-business Auto". Seriously, go anywhere else. Anywhere.

I didn't even make it to Wonder Auto.The person i was speaking with on the phone was extremely rude. He's deffinitly not meant for a customer service position. I would never trust a company too fix my vehicle who highers rude employees. I needed my two front Routers changed.Just the routers. He insisted that the brake pads would have to be changed too. They were just changed a month ago.This is beside the point. I asked about the routers. Thats it. I contacted four Garages and got quotes. Wonder Auto's Price was the highest out of all them. And it was quite high compared to the others, even the dealership. Too expensive, and bad customer service. I Wonder what would have happened if i had actually taking my car there.

They looked it over, explained and showed the actual parts that I will need replacing and did everything in their power to keep my costs low. En route to a funeral in New Glasgow, my recently installed, brand driver side front tire came off my vehicle just before exit 23 into town. Wonder Auto repaired the damage, and thanks to the kindness of tow truck driver Bill Mahar who went back and retrieved the tire from the snow covered highway median, reinstalled the tire and torqued the other three. From my initial conversation with George concerning the condition of my vehicle, I felt secure knowing my car was being repaired by honest, competent and friendly people. Such was the very positive experience I had with Wonder Auto in New Glasgow.

Just got back from there 1 month ago when I took my car there to get inspected I was a month early and didn't realize it till they told me so they still inspected it and told me what was wrong and just said to bring it in when it is due. Fast forward to this week. Got 2 out of the 3 things done that they said were wrong with the car and was going to get them to change the brake hoses I was going to supply the part. They call me tell me my brake hoses magically are good but need a control arm bushing so $214 later and I am never gonna be back there

I whent to wonder auto cause my breaks were sqeeking, they charged me over $300 for a ford escort, When I got the car back, I took it on the highway and pressed the breaks on a off ramp and the pedal started vibrating. What upsets me the most is the mechanic took it for a test drive before he gave me the keys and this is a very noticeable, loud, and unsafe vibration. I am asuming the mechanic machined one of my parts and did a horrible job making it uneven creating a vibration when in motion, ruining my new breaking system. parts were under $100 When I priced them and the car was only in ther for 1 hour including part delivery time. I am unhappy with my visit to Wonder auto

The starter on my car gave out at 4pm on a Friday before a holiday and I called, panicked, because I had never had anything ever fail on a vehicle, and had no idea what to do. The woman who answered the phone was fantastic, and set my mind at ease. She recommended a towing company and started a work order. When I had my brakes replaced, they did only what I asked, and didn't try to push me into anything unnecessary.

Friendly enough, fairly easy to get an appointment, prices are competitive. However, on my recent visit for a safety inspection and brake job, they installed the wrong brake pads. After I brought it to their attention, they did fix it within a couple of days, but it does not instill confidence that they didn't install the proper ones the first time or notice that they didn't fit properly. I probably will not return.

These people went above and beyond for us, what a great experience we had! We were on vacation from the US and had accidentally hit a raccoon with our car. They took us right in to assess the damage. After looking at our car, they said it was an insurance job because there was a lot of damage. I contacted insurance company but since we were in Canada, it was going to take days for an adjuster to look at it and we had to be back to work on Monday. These awesome people at Wonder Auto offered to fix just what we would need in order to make it home(a radiator) so then we could have insurance company fix the rest. They called around and got prices on rental cars for us so we could still enjoy our vacation while waiting for the repairs and even drove us to the rental car place! I was blown away by their hospitality and will forever be thankful for all the help they have us and hoiw nice they were. We made it back to Connecticut safe and sound all thanks to them, and at a reasonable price too. The world needs more people like them. The owner, mechanics and receptionist were all amazing. Couldn't recommend enough and I'll never forget them. We loved Canada before, but after this experience we adore it.

I went here to get an alternator replaced and two weeks later the brand new alternator failed. I took it back and while replacing it for a second time wires were damaged. i had to take it to dealer and spend another 1000 to have what they broke fixed. Avoid this place
