Cheap tire swap, very quick. They had it done in an hour and a half tops although I believe it was done around the hour mark. I asked them to run a battery check for me and they did and honestly reported the results back to me (which was that my battery is fine). I've usually gone to Canadian Tire before but I preferred the service here a lot more

Incredibly condesending male front desk worker. I was adhering to all public requests for entering the premises. I was still "scholded" by this employee for entering the halifax location for a price quote. Maybe you should answer your phone before you cast your first stone. Will not shop at Scotia Tire and recommend others aswell.

Great service, gave me the best prices on tires in all of HRM. Beat another retailer by almost $150 on the same set (2) of tires. But seriously, why don't you guys have a key drop off? I feel like taking a star off for something that should be expected for any garage. There's only so many places I can hide my keys when I drop off my car. Thieves can catch onto this!

Amazing service. I hit a pothole and my rim was bent, causing the air to leak out of my tire. So I drove it to Scotia tire on Robie on Friday evening after work and left the vehicle there. They fixed it Saturday by noon. Rates were very reasonable. I was very happy with the service.

Avoid at all costs as this business will not stand behind their product. We have been customers at this shop for about five years (maybe more), choosing them because we wanted to 'shop local' when we moved back to Halifax. We have had great service overall (for any small / inexpensive fixes that have been required), but the first time we had a real issue, they refused to address it. We will take our business elsewhere and hopefully find one that values loyalty and stands behind their product.

Overall experience once I got to the location is good. but when they answer the phone I strongly recommend they specify the location. I ended up at Dartmouth location n they directed me to bedford n finally made it to halifax. Even though I was 30 mins late after all this. They still honored my appointment n got it done in an hour or so.

I have only been here 3 times. The first time I had run out of oil in my car and was asking if they sold any. They topped up my oil from bone dry and didn't charge me a cent. My second experience was in requesting a wheel alignment; they did an assessment and let me know it wasn't worth it as my wheel bearing needed replacing; again didn't charge me a cent. My third experience, brought my vehicle there to have my washer pump replaced, after two appt's and them ording and running around to find the part, we discovered the specific part was 4 times as expensive. They changed two of my bulbs while in the process, and the charge, not a cent. This business is a shining example of customer service and I am a solid customer of theirs as a result. I would highly recommend them for anything you needed done!

Great service for my car but the customer service could be better. I never recieved a phone call that my car was done (2nd time this happened) and I waited about 5 minutes in the office area for someone to come in from the garage from what just have been a team building smoke break.

It was early December and I had just gotten a new car and was about to leave on a trip. I needed new rims and snows. Despite being slammed with seasonal changeovers, they understood my predicament and worked me in the same day. Now that is service. They've done other work for me in the past and have always proven to be fast and reliable.

Female at the counter was very friendly and helpful, however I was very disappointed to hear the techs revving my engine as they brought the car in, and had to return to have them fix their mistakes. Also, it costs almost $100 to have 4 tires put on rims here... I should've asked before it was done, I would've gone elsewhere.

I bought 4 new winter tires in the Fall (nov2015) and then 4 new summer tires in the spring (may2016). When I dropped off my car to get the new summer tires I got my car back with a broken rim and told to go get it fixed and then bring it back and they would install my remaining tire. After driving around with my dummy tire to machine shops and then having to pick it up and transport it back to Scotia tire it was a very unfriendly experience. Other tire shops in town will send out the rim for repair and provide a much more complete wheel and tire service to its customers.

Have had various work done here (front-end suspension parts replaced, spark plugs, MVI, tire changes, alignments, tire purchases, etc) over past several years. Always a positive experience, and they are straight-forward and practical with the recommendations on repairs/parts as well. Previous MVI for example required exhaust work, but they recommended to go to a exhaust specialist instead as they wouldn't be able to do a low-cost repair in their own shop. They also provide options on parts/tires etc so you can get higher-quality stuff that lasts put on.

I went into Scotia tire for the first time based on a recent recommendation. I was just getting new winter tires but they spotted an issue with a recent break repair from another shop in my home town. They were super professional in how they handled it, making sure I was safe without casting shade on the other shop (who reimbursed me for the cost/error. I didn’t catch the owners name but he and his staff stayed late 2 nights in a row to help me get back on the road and also accommodate my rushing between work and to pick my son up from daycare. It wasn’t an expensive repair and I’m sure it was a super annoying one for a busy tire place right in the middle of the busiest few weeks. Super lovely team and I was immensely appreciative.

I had a slow leak in a tire that suddenly worsened while I was on vacation in Halifax. I stopped by Scotia Tire and they had the puncture repaired within half an hour at a great price. Very impressed with the speed, price and professionalism. I highly recommend Scotia Tire.

I had just left work, still in uniform to get my tire fixed. Had a screw in it. I was there for maybe 20 to 25 mins most. They came out to me and gave me my keys back. And thanked me for my service. I looked at my receipt. They had done it commentary. I was almost in tears. I wanted to say the staff here are amazing, friendly, kind, and go out of there way to help. Thank you for making my day that much better!

After having a dealership quote me $1800 for a brake job I had a friend do my brakes, replace a wheel bearing and a ball joint for $800. Suggested I get an alignment. Brought it in and dropped it off and 5 minutes later I get a call saying the other ball joint needs replacing and they won't do the alignment until I agree to it. So my friend who has over 30 years of dealership and personal experience as a mechanic missed it but the 20 something guy working there didn't. My trust in having vehicle work done is now close to zero. Won't be back.

Went in for an oil change, an MVI, and a tire change. They were fast with the tires. They said they could not do the other work because their mechanic with 30 years experience couldn't open the hood. I opened the hood myself in the parking lot without difficulty despite having no automotive experience. My gas tank was left open. I can only assume that he flipped that lever instead of the hood. Update: I heard from the customer service department fairly quickly. John was very courteous and wanted to make it right. I appreciate that. I still would not recommend this location, but that experience may not be indicative of the whole company.

Awesome place. While I was on vacation in Halifax I ran over a screw which resulted in my tire having to be replaced the staff was very courteous and friendly. The cheapest and Affordable Tire they had was not in stock but the staff was kind enough to give me the next tire up in price at no extra cost which I thought was great. The next day they were very accommodating been checking my tires my tire pressure in my car in general for the long 5-hour trip I had head of me. Job well done guys and girls and I will definitely come and see you should I have a problem during my next Halifax trip

Went there to have tires put on, Scotia tire took my car in the shop Bay and before coming to ask me how to put my car in reverse cause you pull up the lever as it is a Manuel transmission, Scotia tire decided to take my whole gear shifter apart cause they could not get the gear to go in the reverse position. Never consulted me to even take my gear shifter apart, never asked me how to put in reverse, to top it off after they put my tires on, they hand me my keys with all my gear shifter parts....WOW!!! Totally unacceptable and I will never be returning there again, unprofessional service.

Bad experience with a flat tire repair. Could not locate lock nut however in same place as all other similar vehicles. Had to then show up to locate lock nut only to find it sitting on the lot completely deflated (can’t be good for sidewall). Further, car got delivered back to me with a massive dent/scratch above the wheel well; I did confront them on this issue and there was no admission of fault. Location on bedford highway is waaayyy better.
