I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. I had to go here in a pinch this morning. Not only were they “speedy”, but they are super reasonable and don’t try to up sell on stuff you don’t need. They were super friendly and got down to business even though I didn’t have an appointment. Definitely go here if you need any car repairs. The name says it all. Got there at 11 a.m, walked in no pre-booking, got me car fixed in 30 mins. Update: better to identify the issue of your car beforehand and stick with it, or you will lost unnecessary money on inspection and "suggested replacement".

I had a good experience at another Speedy location for my windshield so I went here for some muffler issues. I can't say enough good things about them. The owner himself helped me out with some custom fittings that they're able to do on-site. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. I'll definitely be a returning customer.

I've been to this place. Mechanic was honest but the receptionist not ! He was trying to handle the conversation and manipulate me .. The prices are not competive despit what some reveiwers wrote ! Also they will charge you some mandatory inspection fees the first time you go there no matter for what the problem with your car is .. I was thinking canadian tire was charging too much until I went to this place !!

This Speedy is simply horrible, on multiple occasions the car fix was either performed incorrectly, or the wrong fix was recommended - money thirsty business, they don't care about honesty. Also, it appears that inexperienced mechanics are working on your vehicle performing the minor tasks ( tire change, oil change, etc) - in my case they left the cap off the oil causing it to leak out within two days after. Advised me that my whole (original) exhaust needed to be replaced for one minor hole - i was later advised by a proper and honest mechanic that the original exhaust system should ALWAYS try to be repaired prior to replacing, because after- market exhaust systems will continuously rust out within a few years. Hands down - will never use the services of speedy again. Simply put, this is a bad business.

I have a new "Go To" for when my CRV Honda needs service. My experience here was as good as it gets. I went in needing a full brake job. A thorough test drive and diagnosis which the mechanic confirmed with me while the car was on the hoist. I authorised the work order and the car was ready on time as promised. They were able to reduce the bill a bit which was appreciated. Two weeks later I am still delighted with their work and will return !

Mike and his crew are fabulous. I've dealt with them 4 times and each experience has been great. I can't say that about any other shop I've used in Ottawa in 35 years. Helpful, courteous and not looking to up sell on the work. They do what you ask and charge reasonably. I do much of my own work, and rely in them when I'm in over my head. They are happy to lend advice and give direction in addition to doing excellent work. In addition, most of my.car buddies use Mike too. Because he's dependable, reliable and affordable. Seems about average for this type of shop. When I visited, the guy at the counter seemed overwhelmed with phone calls. He wasn't able to give any estimate for the service I inquired about. The closest thing I got when I visited at 8:30am was "leave the car with us and it might be done by the end of the day."

Very impressive place... the owner provided consice answers by phone, they looked at my exhaust system the next morning, and brought me over to explain the options while it was om the hoist. They recommended a replacement part, ordered it immediately and I was out of there in about an hour and half. Friendly, fast, and efficient, couldn’t ask for a better, more reasonable experience... I highly recommend!

I called just to see if they could do an alignment for me which i only need the toe set on my truck ( I used to be a mechanic so i know that's all i need). The guy on the phone recommended that i go the dealer since his machine is to small for trucks.. As a passed mechanic you don't refer clients to the dealer.. Maybe it's time to update your machine to be able to do alignments on all vehicles.

I would really not recommend going here. They forgot to re bolt my brake callipers. They missed a broken sway bar link. During inspection. I was in absolute shook when my mechanic showed me I was driving without any front end brakes driver side. please be aware.

Make sure you communicate everything with the person at the desk. My mistake and I was charged 45$ examination fee despite not being told how much it would cost BEFORE they provided me with one. When I contested the fee, he told me they have to pay their employee's wages. Since when is that the customer's responsibility?? I won't be returning. ** UPDATE ** they've offered me a free oil change to help make-up for it.

Had all my winter tires on for 2 weeks and woke up one morning after the first snow storm of the year to a flat tire. I called around to see who could take the tire to get it reseated and speedy was the only place that said they could have it maybe done by end of day. Every other place was 4-5 days! So, I bring the wheel there and instead of just dropping it off, we went into the shop to see if it could be fixed first. With nothing obviously wrong other than a minor ding and some rust they reseated it, banged out the ding, and I was out with the tire fixed in 15 minutes. I do all my own work on my car so I don't go to garages all that often but if anything big ever comes up with the car, speedy will be the first garage I call. (They also take back old rotors and oil too!)

I had a blowout with my tire over the long weekend which damaged the wheel rim. I contacted Speedy Ottawa West over email on their site and they took it from there. Even with the garage closed on the holiday Monday, and the wheel rim having to be ordered, all was repaired and I was back on the road by Wednesday afternoon. I knew I was in good hands when Mike said he found me a perfectly fine used rim for my car, I knew then that I wasn't going to be gouged. This will be my go to place for all my service needs moving forward.

Very quick service, I had to get an oil change on the way to work and they were able to accommodate me right away. Mike was great, and the technicians were all very professional. During my short wait, I had an opportunity to watch the staff at work. The one thing I noticed was how cohesive a team they were, everyone was helping each other out, and they were very efficient. They topped up my washer fluid, checked my tires and ensured everything was okay at no extra charge. While they didn't admit it, they fixed my tire pressure issue as well. Highly recommended. I had been holding my tail pipe on with a clothes hanger for two years, waiting for the muffler (lifetime warranty) to wear out as well. I finally decided to get it repaired, although the muffler still sounded O.K. After seven years on the car, they ordered a new muffler without even looking at the old one; and it was all on their computer - I didn't need to show my receipt. Friendly folks, good prices, and fast work.
