Got new tires mounted by the guys at Frisby in Kanata for my Cobra. They did a great job, tires were mounted on my new Shelby American chrome rims they did them properly and there was no damage or scratches. The wheels were balanced perfectly and the car drives fantastic. I dealt with Norm, who was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Will not hesitate to go back and reccomend to friends and family.

Very poor service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff was smoking something in the shop bay then started yelling at a woman with her kids for stopping in the parking lot. I noticed the manager was beside him doing nothing about this. The staff seemed to be very uneducated with no manors or respect. I suggest active green+ross their shop is very clean and staff is well educated and informative.

Great place - friendly staff. I got a couple of tires repaired here after Canadian Tire down the road tried to con me into buying $500 in new tires after saying they were unrepairable. One wasn't even leaking it had just lost pressure in the cool air! Frisby fixed the supposedly "unreapairable" tire for around $20. Thanks!

I have been going to this place since I was a student. Back then, I brought my car in thinking that I just needed my wheels balanced. It turned out that both of my front tires were completely shot and needed to be replaced (the steel belt had snapped inside). I didn't have the money to get new tires at the time, so instead these guys GAVE me two used tires, installed and balanced simply telling me to come back when I had the money for new tires. From that point on I was a customer for life. Every time I'm there I get the same level of service. I currently live almost an hour away, but still make the trip to see them - they're that good.

I have been using Frisby Tire for 5 years since I noticed dealer cheated me by telling me my brake pads were only 3mm thick while they were actually 7mm after a few months. Frisby Tire never hard sold me anything. They tell me exactly what problem my car has and fixed it at reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Update: They had me come back again and fixed the issue so updating the review to 3 stars. Would give them five stars if they had fixed the issue the first time I went back. Might consider going back to buy my tires here. Recently got my brakes replaced here and very disappointed with this place. I don't know a lot about cars but new brakes are not supposed to squeal everytime you brake. I took it back to them and they claim that there is nothing wrong and that they can't hear anything. I guess I will have to take my car elsewhere to see what's going on and fix whatever they did to my brakes.

These guys know tires. Whether it's for purchase, installation, or just balancing, they have the equipment and knowledge to do it right. Their prices are decent and their staff is friendly enough. Most recently, I went in to get new tires put on existing rims and then those wheels swapped with the ones on my vehicle. They did the work while I waited and performed the work quickly.

My rear tire blew out and got here 30 mins before they closed and took me in and were quite understanding but that is not the reason why I am giving a 5 star rating. While I was waiting, this client with a Jeep needed new tires. He couldn't afford even the lowest and read trying to get smaller tires to compensate. The representative explained to him not only the damage it could do on his vehicle but also the safety concerns. He really had the best intention for the client. At one point, he recommended trying Kijiji to see if the client could find a better deal on used tires. He even have him tips on what to look for on used tires (thread wear, age of the tire, getting proper size, ect). He even went to show him on one of their tires on the wall where exactly to look for size and date. Really impressed!! Highly recommend these guys!

Told them I didn’t need the car back for a few days so they could take their time, but they had it done within 2 hours. Troy was quick to assure me that they'd find a set to replace those that were lost. Came in once to do alignment. Was told I need to change ball joints. I Did not change them, came in again few weeks later to check shaking thinking they would tell me to change ball joints again and possibly more with no work done and this time they didn't notice ball joints. I asked why they said there was no mechanic this time. Why would they check shaking with a non mechanic? In the end they balanced my tires with no permission and charged me 60 bucks. Never coming back here again

I got new tires installed on my car at Frisbees today. I must say that I was not only very happy to experience their great customer service but also witnessed it. As a woman, I’ve often been treated poorly at garages. Service techs assume that as a woman they can mislead me and overcharge me. There were 2 other women who brought their cars for check up and repair. They were treated with honesty and kindness. The shop didn’t even charge one of the women who had brought her car in for something. Great work! Looking forward to returning.

I've used Frisby tire in Kanata a good number of times over the past 30 years. Overall they have been good and professional, completing work as promised. Sometimes there is a significant queue of work particularly in spring and fall. Management seems to care and willing to intervene to leave a positive customer experience.

Warning. If you want to make a warranty claim, be prepared. You better have documentary proof that you rotate your tires every 10,000 km., that you get wheel alignments regularly, etc. or , based on my experience , you will be out of luck. I was told I could pursue the matter with Michelin if I wanted to, but otherwise I was on my own. It felt to me like their opinion was that I had damaged my own tires (??!?). "Derrick" asked, " What do you want us to do about it?" My answer was that they should stand behind what they sell. They wanted to know how they'd " get their money back" . That answer gave me all I needed to know. You can respond with any mumbo jumbo you like Frisby , the last point sums it up for me. There is no $$$ in it for you, so it's just tough beans for me. Nice.

On two occasions I was given quite a few tire replacement options, had a chance to review them with the stuff to choose the right one for me. Service is fast - you leave a car for 1 hour, and you get a call in 45 minutes. I also like the nut torque check after 80 km - not a big deal but nice to have for those who are used to take their cars to official dealers.

I stopped even trying to buy from Frisby after two experiences I had with the Kanata outlet a few years ago. The first time they didn’t have the tires I wanted in stock and when I asked if they could order them they were reluctant to even try at first, then they said they couldn’t get them. I ordered the same tires from my local mechanic with no issues a couple of days later. The second time, when I decided to give then another chance, they told me the winter tires I wanted were no longer available. Again I went to my local mechanic who promptly ordered them from me with no problem. Both times I tried to buy from Frisby it was like a bad version of Monty python cheese shop skit. It was like they had no interest in selling anything they didn't already have in inventory.

Ever since I got new tires (08-17) from this place I have to put air into two if the four tires every 3 months or so. I went back earlier and they just put air into those tires - not fix it. Either the tires or the service that installed them, are failures. Go elsewhere. Update: Now 40+ months later, no contact to resolve. So they are NOT taking care of clients.

There was an incident where a truck spilled a load of nails on the highway and dozens of vehiles were effected with multiple flats. 15 minutes into a 9 hour drive, my car began to shimmy as if the alignment was out of whack. I pulled into Frisby without any appointment and spoke with Norm the manager. While I was prepared to have an alignment done, Norm was honest enough to explain the cause was likely a build up of snow in the tire rims due to a 40 cm dump the day before. He walked me to the car, took the time to point out where the snow had accumulated and recommended that I simply put the car through a car wash. I did, and it worked. Norm, thank you for your honesty and your help. You have certainly made me a fan of Frisby. And I will tell this story over and over again!!!

Oh dear. I must be the odd man out and hopefully just an unlucky one-off case. I took in a rim for a snow tire replacement on Dec 16 and finally took back the tire and rim, Jan 8, 23 days later - still not replaced. I will spare the details of the 3 phone calls and 2 visits before I finally took back the unreplaced tire and rim. Frisby needs to do a bit of work on communication and inventory control. When promised delivery dates expire as they did 2x in my case, Frisby needs to set up its communications process to call the customer as the promised delivery dates expire. It should not be up to the customer to initiate that process. Before stating something is in stock and having me drive 40 minutes only to find that it isn't Frisby should actually check stock on hand. When a customer comes in to make an inquiry there is a paper trail for workorders and on-line trails for ordering. They should not have to go rummaging to find information. ALL information should on line in one file and one place. Troy, I hope you read this. I am not angry just disappointed and I hope you take this information to help future customers. I, regrettably, will not be one of them.

They saw that I was currently in a difficult position, with a pressing need to get my car back quickly. They easily could have taken advantage of this, but instead did absolutely everything they could to get my car repaired as soon as possible, at an extremely reasonable cost. They kept me informed at all steps of the process, including before taking the car in, so that I had all the facts I needed for making decisions. I was involved in an accident at the light right there today(not at fault), and pulled over in the Frisby Tire Kanata parking lot to exchange information and what not(it was the closest).. the other person involved went in to Frisby to ask for a cellphone to take pictures. An employee(who had no reason to be involved) came out with what looked like the manager, and started talking sh*t about my family! Saying we’re scumbags! I have two young children (under 6) in my car, who of course I am worried about their well being. He continued to talk sh*t about my kids and that they’re fine... he knows what type of people we are! How unprofessional and disrespectful! I was not concerned about the damage to my car, but to my kids! Again he was extremely disrespectful to me and my family (with two young children(6 & 2years old). Do not go here!!!!!! These people are disrespectful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don’t deserve any business, especially people with families! Clearly they don’t care about the well being of children!

Took my 2016 Avalon with very expensive custom rims in for a slow leak. It was a cracked rim. They bought in a new rim the next day but knocked it over in the shop and it got scratched. They offered to replace the rim or give me 50% off. The scratches were so small so I took the deal. These guys are very honest and fair and very professional in regards to customer service and I highly recommend them!

I brought my car in for a realignment, they charged me a diagnostic fee without doing the alignment then they told me I had to fix one of my controller and they would do it for $300. I knew this sounded this fishy so I bought it to 2 very trusted mechanics in the city who just laughed and said the controller is only slightly bent and the wheel alignment could've been done. Do not go to this place .... Definitely crooks.

so i stopped in one afternoon because i had a nail in my tire and i purchased a warranty, i was told that a nail isn't included in the road hazard warranty which they said it was when i bought the warrenty... which left me frustrated, then on my way out an Indian man and his wife were leaving, and the manager proceeded to call them a bunch of cheap Indians and said that he hates Indian people... i was just trying to get my tire fixed. will not be going back there anytime soon.

I have gone here several times over the last few years and always been happy with them. They are always friendly and patient to explain things to me. I have always felt like they were being honest and fair. They have even given me advice for solutions that did not involve giving them money which I find rare these days. Another bonus is the waiting area is clean and comfortable with a decent view and TV so I can wait while they work on my car.

Great place for service! They were able to provide me with a spare used tire when someone slashed one of my tires and for a very low price. Anytime I have brought my car here, it is always ready on time. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone for tire related issues - from flat repairs to balancing they are excellent! To the previous poster @MikeSmid - If you can't get a hold of a business by telephone, it's likely because they are actually very busy. Calling them sleepy heads and giving them a one star rating is very ignorant. Are you an ignorant person? Might I suggest taking a long, hard look in the mirror and maybe you'll learn that it's not all about you. Perhaps if you weren't too lazy to see them in person, your review might be an accurate depiction of the great service they do provide.

I have used Frisby Tire Kanata for over 20 years; periodically for wheel balancing, rotation, repair of a flat tire most recently, repair to tires on my garden equipment, and to locate rims for a utility trailer. Service desk was always welcoming, top notch work, estimates very close to charge, and always ready when promised. If a problem was encountered (locating hard to find rims) they would inform me quickly and provide an new date when known. Excellent firm, glad to have them nearby. I give five stars because it has been consistent good service over such a long period.

I'm sure the service is great but I had to go elsewhere as they weren't open during their registered business hours.. Store is open at 7:30 am I tried calling multiple times for over 45 minutes with regards to a flat tire but have had no success talking to anyone...If you have a emergency I advise waiting till past noon to give these sleepy heads a call or try Gary's automotive up the road Cheers

i purchased 4 Nitto tires for my car last season. after driving on them for only 4 months my TPMS light came on and I realized one of the tires started loosing air quite fast. After taking the wheel of the car i noticed a huge split down the tire and a couple smaller ones too(picture below). It appeared to be weather cracking so i checked the Date on the tires. 1 of them was 5 years old, 1 of them was 3 years old and the other 2 were 4 years old. so i purchased *BRAND NEW* tires and turns out all of them are 3-5 years old and probably stored somewhere unheated which would explain the weather cracking. after getting in contact with a Frisby location and bringing the tires in to show them i was told i would get a call back within the next few days to discuss a warranty of sorts. after 2 weeks of hearing nothing i decided to call back and was told the person who deals with Nitto warranty's was on vacation and probably wouldn't be back for another week or so. After almost another 2 weeks i decided to call back again to figure out what was going on i was told that all they could do was offer me a small discount of 1 tire to replace the one that cracked, and said that's the best Nitto is willing to offer. So after waiting 1 month for a call back that's all i got? Frisby is the place that sold me the 3-5 year old tires not Nitto so they should be the ones to replace/warranty the tires. Instead they tell me that's all they can do. I spent $1400 on performance tires for my vehicle and that's the service i received? I wouldn't recommend shopping tires at Frisby tire at all if that's the service they give out. I was very disappointed and will not be shopping from Frisby Tire ever again. some pictures below of the tires they sold me.

I showed up without an appointment and a flat tire (we took it off the car at home). Dropped the tire off and got a call about 10 minutes later saying it couldn't be fixed. They had a new tire on hand and said they could have it ready in half an hour. Went to pick it up and was just going to take it home to switch over ourselves but they said they'd put it on for no extra charge. I had two small kids in tow and was worried they wouldn't sit still long enough, but they said they'd have it switched over in half an hour. Not even 15 minutes later the car was done and we were on our way home. Was very impressed with how speedy the service was, especially without notice. They managed to fix my stressful situation and I have the bonus of not having to change a tire tonight. Will definitely go back!

Had my new tires installed on my new rims, was booked in and they did a excellent job, no scratches on the new rims . had a tpms fault on the way home and went back and they guy who handled all my paperwork went right out and fixed it, now thats great service to be honest. i will definatly be a returning customer and will reccomend them to others :)

Went to multiple places to find a fix for a puncture on my vehicles run flat tire. All of them said that I have to replace the tire even though it was just a little screw in the bottom. Frisby fixed it for 40 bucks and it’s as good as new! Saved me 300 dollars. Thanks guys!

Had to replace a tire that blow up on me. The gent at Frisby said that it would cost over $450 to replace. I told him that when I bought them it was less then $250 each. "He said that was the price". So I called my mechanic he said "I can get you the same one for $244. I don't know a lot about the tire industry but I would guess that they get their tires from the same place. If that is true the mark-up that Frisby charges seems out of line with the rest of the industry.

When I was at Costco yesterday, I heard a weird noice from my rear passenger tire. Asked a gentleman to help me figure out what it was. He noticed a large screw in the tire and suggested I drive slowly to the nearest tire place. I went to Frisby’s on Hazeldean Road, and explained my problem. I was told to leave my vehicle, they could maybe look at it tomorrow. The gentleman then just walked away . Now I am 77 year old female, with no other means of transportation, and pretty much helpless with tires. I called CAA from home, because tire was going flat, young gentleman that put the spare on could not believe that Frisby’s would not give me few minutes to even look at it, as they are in the tire business, it would be quick fix for them. Extremely disappointed with the service I received !!

Great Service! I called a number of places as I was putting a larger diameter tire on my new car, and only after speaking with Troy did I get the information and peace of mind I needed. They installed the tires with rims for cheaper than other quotes, and had me back in the shop two times after the install at no charge to check for rub and to ensure everything was good and tight!

Dropped off some tires to be installed on rims 1 day ahead to ensure they get done for when I finish work later the following day. They called in the morning to say their machines couldn't do the job correctly and there was a risk of damage to the tires. Appreciate the honesty but really??? 1) they couldn't tell me this when I dropped them off? And 2) their business is all about tires so....again really? You dont have the proper machine to do the job. My rims and tires were nothing extra special but they still claimed they couldn't get them done. This will be my first and only attempt at going to Frisby tire for any work.

I was reading Frisby Kanata's reviews. Just want everyone to know not everything is wonderful. Let's just say I'm not tickled pink with them. I got a quote for 4 new tires for my truck at $246ea for a total out the door price of $1198.34. This was Nov/03/16. Now in fairness to them the quote was good until Nov/15/16. I was called by them and told the earliest they could be installed was Nov/28th. They also said at the time my size was not in stock and would I like Discoverer AT/4's instead. I thought about it and called them back and told them no I wanted the AT/3's. I go in for my appointment Nov 28th they don't have my tires. It would have been nice if they let me know they couldn't supply the tires I wanted before I got there and was not in dire need of tires. Instead they offered up the AT/4's(that I had said 3wks earlier I didn't want) at the same price. When I paid the bill I was thinking that seems expensive but didn't have my quote with me. This morning I went to register my Cooper rebate and realized that I had paid $20 per tire more. I realize this is on me for not checking everything over. I work in retail and it drives me nuts when customers scrutinize invoices. I work on honesty and hope others do too. By the way if possible buy AT/3's in my opinion a much better tire than AT/4's.

UNBELIEVABLY UNTRUSTWORTHY. They quoted me for a job that costs $1500 and used scare tactics that made me believe my car was pretty much un-driveable until it got fixed there. Little did I know, I took it to another garage and GUESS WHAT? $250.00 later, my car is as good as new! The mechanic said that what they quoted me was TOTAL BULLSHIT. These guys just try to SOAK you if you're a female and are alone. Never going back there again.
