I took the vehicle in for some repairs as they were first on the list when I googled. They quoted me approx $1,400.00, went back to collect the vehicle and drove it to my regular mechanic and my invoice was $179.00. Never go there again.

I only go to Mineke for an oil change since its advertised at a low cost. First time I ever went Tom at the front desk was lecturing me about minor repairs. I understand this is their job to inform you about repairs. I told him my husband would take care of it at home. His response was that my husband could do the oil change then. I told him it was cheaper for them to do it, then it would be to buy the supplies and time to do it myself. He said they don’t do just oil changes. But the sign says otherwise. Why advertise oil change then tell me to do it myself? I guess they don’t want my money. I decided to give them another chance and again Tom was rude. I also waited 30 min after my appointment time before they got my car in. I’ve had quite a few oil changes since this and every time Tom ruins the experience for me. If it wasn’t for the good price I would go somewhere else. I have to say that the mechanics are very nice and accommodating. Today Tom completely ignored me I will be going down the road and paying 10 extra dollars just so I don’t have to deal with him anymore. By Tom your old grouch

I have been using Meineke on Freshwater Road since it first opened. I have never had any issues with them and I always feel very comfortable and looked after whenever I need to bring my vehicle in for servicing. Colin is the service manager and he is one of the most knowledgable and friendly service personnel in the business. I can't recommend this business enough for your automotive servicing needs!

Used for the first time recently. Just a minor job required on the car, but extremely helpful, fitted the car in on the day without an appointment, and didn't try to upcharge for parts I didn't need or request (the price they gave me was just what someone else in the trade had told me it would cost to get done). Would definitely recommend and will be using again

Very bad experience with this . I just went for small issue and I spend $700 but still not issue fixed and still they want me to spend $200 more I don't know what they are trying to do making money or fix my car. I will never go again there and I will also recommend my family and friends NEVER GO THERE .

My wife took our Jeep there with Cylinder 1 missing. They changed the plugs to the tune of >$500 and indicated to my wife that they looked like they were the original plugs and that it was a wonder that the car would even start. Plugs were new last October. Vehicle now runs rougher than ever, missing, backfiring and with warning lights coming on and off and the staff keeps screwing around with excuses as to why they had not fixed it right the first time.

Super great spot. Went there a few days after changing my oil as I had scrapped the bottom of my sedan in some snow and a piece of plastic was hanging down. They did a quick fix for me for free as I had to go out of town right then. Friendly staff. Have gone there a few times now for routine work and top notch work on the car.

A man gave me an appointment for thu Nov 23 and I was on time , however, he told me your an appointment would be on Friday, although, I told him that I have a paper which I took from him shows that the appointment on Thursday ,not fridy, he didn't care for wasting my time and told me to come tomorrow , in addition, he didn't show any respect to me as a customer and to my friend who was with me trying to explain to him that our an appointment is on Thu . Later I called the manager to complain against him, however, I found out that the manager is the same man who refused to replace my auto winter wheels , so at that point I realized why he wasn't care for wasting our time. My comment about it is ( the manager should be more responsible during his jop tine than other workers ).

Took my car in to have the wheels balanced and they told me the vibration was coming from the brakes and that I needed a full brake job quoted at over $850. Instead I changed my winter tires/rims to my all seasons and the vibration was gone (so it clearly was an unbalanced wheel). I don’t even think they took the time to check the balance of all four wheels because the lug nuts on the front of the car were noticeably tighter than the rear. I checked the brake wear myself and the front brake pads had over 8mm left on the indicator with plenty of rotor life left as well. At the end of the day, they tried to charge me for service that wasn’t needed, and failed to fix the issue that I brought to them.

Had my summer tires put on at the beginning of summer, that was all good! I get back in my car, to find my oil life reset to 100%, but they didn’t give me a oil change nor did they tell me it was reset. They put a sticker on my windshield in the corner saying to service my vehicle within 600kms. I am not going back to Meineke and do not recommend for anyone else too either.

They had me pull right up and checked my tires - turns out all the nuts were loose on my drivers side tire and it could have fallen off. Terrible customer service, I will not be returning! I told them when I went in for an oil change that I am aware my front brakes desperately need to be done (I go to a different place for any real mechanical work) so just an oil change. They asked if I wanted the brakes priced out I said no as I already have the parts and I go to a different place for that stuff. When they brought my car in to change the oil the guy working the front desk basically came in and yelled at me saying that I better be getting my breaks done TODAY. He was extremely rude to me and I especially didn't appreciate it given the fact that I had already explained what was going on. Maybe he was just upset I didn't want to get the work done there? Anyways I don't recommend going here unless you want to get treated poorly.

This is the only place in town which refused to give a price on rotor and pad change of my car over the phone. They wanted to have a look at it and charge 50 bucks to tell me what needs to be done, while during the last tire change, it was clearly mentioned that the brakes need changing. Very good experience all around. I can’t believe the one star ratings as it doesn’t sound like the same place. I had serious brakework done and then an oil change. I could talk to the mechanic and he was very friendly and informative and allowed me to make the final decision, After hearing any pros and cons. However, at other places, I have had similar good experiences at first but future visits didn’t turn out so well. In my opinion a garage should try to resell themselves on every client visit.

Had an inspection completed at this facility for my car (earlier this year). Advised car is a write off, listed to many issues. Took it to another garage and passed inspection no issues. Oil Changes are best price in City, however it's much better to build a relationship with a Garage that you intend to go to on a regular basis.

Terrible service. I literally watched one mechanic hammering away on my tire. When I was about to say something the owner stopped him. Was also quoted one price by Tom (labour included) then the day of another manager was there and charged me a much higher amount. I had mention to the white haired, elderly manager that Tom had told me there were 2 parts he could order and said they were similar in value so he would order the less expensive one. The other manager didn't care. This girl works hard for her money. I will be finding a new mechanic. I also informed Meineke Headquarters. It is kinda sad because I had been using them for years.

Had a clutch service done here. They left my front wheels loose. Dented my oil base pan and oil filter. Left my control arm bolt loose which became seized. I do a lot of in town driving so I didn't realize it was loose until I took it on the highway a few weeks later and my car started shaking violently. I went back to the shop and they said they wouldn't do anything for me. They are not honest nor do they uphold their end if they mess something up. Never going back to this place. UPDATE: my clutch is also starting to not respond now due to them improperly bleeding my clutch fluid.

Seriously avoid this location at all cost! Their customer service is horrific, they refuse to take responsibility for a error they made on my SUV during a simple oil change resulting in me having to pay extra to repair the damages caused by their mistake!!! The owner refuses to speak with me. Can’t even give a customer a phone call to discuss the issue, instead only allowing his son the “manager” to speak on his behalf!!! I was not looking to have Meineke fix or replace anything else. All I was asking was for them to take responsibility for the mistake! Instead they are treating a long term customer like garbage! So beware a 30$ oil change can in fact cost you a lot more!!! Avoid at all cost. Their customer service speaks volumes!!! They delete any negative review left on their page trying to warn other customers of my horrible experience!!! That should say it all. They know they can get away with scamming customers!!! Go anywhere else and pay extra!!! I should of never tried to have a quick oil change!!
