Went there two separate times withing the last month to get my wipers fixed and they lasted less than 2 days both time before they stopped working again. They are wind shield wipers, not a full engine block repair. Not to mention I got charged fully both times. So I'm dealing with this great weather we are having with no wipers. Awful service for such an easy fix. I'm taking it into my own hands and buying the parts to fix it myself. Im tired of getting over charged for such a poor effort, they are just wipers. No attempt or effort to reach out to me has been made and now I've spent over 300$ on getting them fixed and I'm still at square 1. ????

Never going here again for any car repair, or to even get a simple estimate for work, girl that works at service (new employee) couldn't be bothered with me, poor attitude, wanted me out of her face judging by her movements side to side and looking the opposite direction, and telling me to come on Saturday and wait till they can take my vehicle, get it looked at, then tell me a pruce. I WAS a client there, no more, found a better garage that will treat me like a human being, and provide me with excellent service. This garage service at this Canadian Tire is awful! Also prices are ridiculous!

I always buy cookware from this place and look for sale price. There is always something on sale. Lacoste is a good quality frying pan. But T-Fal is not good for me. Variety of cookware is available always. Their garden section is very good and big too. Sports items are also available and have a good selection. Automobile section is only open for limited time. Need to schedule a head of time. We always buy auto cleaning accessories from here. Hardware accessories collection is good too. Good customer service. Store is always very neat and clean. Lots of parking lots including para parking. There are few automatic checkout which I don’t like. Recommend others to try this store

Second time I buy tires online from this store, second time I am having trouble. Its a logistic nightmare between their Toronto head office managing online transaction and this CT location dealing with the physical transaction. I was hoping for a good online/retail transaction but so many issues and always new excuses (which most of the time are just to get rid of you) trying to explain why you should be waiting some more or why tired are not in stock. Wasted a week, 3 trips and several phone calls and finally told to come in store to get my tires. Tires couldnt be found and I was told to wait for another phone call. I strongly recommend going somewhere else for tires online like 4tires(.)ca or PCMTires where youll have a much better experience and client service.

McMurray auto is at 8332 Manning Avenue on the corner of Manning avenue and Queen St. just behind Rona. When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

Edit: I had to bump it up to 4 stars as I was impressed with the new young gentlemen in the auto parts department. They were so good and friendly and helpful. Still not recommend the auto repair service. Original review: Not only auto part prices are significantly higher than basically any other major auto part seller, but also the auto service department is very bad. The only friendly staff was the cashier guy there other than him nobody even says hi to you or even talk to you at all. The staff are just not friendly or even polite. I have been there 3 times and I will never go back. It's just not a place you want to go buy things specially for your car.

I rolled into fort mac with a disastrous car issue from another mechanic shop on canada day, next day I called all around town and apparently not a single shop seemed to have any time or mechanics available due to a long weekend (weird for a friday...) and after trying everywhere I gave the auto repair office at this location a call and they booked me in same day and had the issue located and parts ordered to have it fixed by saturday. Very professional shop, fantastic customer service with the offering of different price points for options of repair, fantastic choice for stranded travellers or locals in need, of all canadian tire locations this one can certainly truthfully claim to be Canada's garage.

Brought my car in to check a steering problem. They looked at it for a few hours, said I needed a 300$ part (steering shaft) and suggested I could find it cheaper elsewhere. I did, and had it installed only to find out I DID NOT EVEN NEED THE PART. It is non-returnable since i had it special ordered, waste of hundreds of dollars. Once I saw the old part it was very obviously still in good condition, not sure if they even looked at it. What I actually needed was a rack and pinion. Will not be bringing my car back.

**Redacted review. I feel that it's not fair to criticize a company or a location due to one isolated incident. Overall, this CT location has always met my expectations in the past.** On May 5, during my visit to this location at approximately 4 PM, in-store pick-up at the parts department was not this location's strong suit. Waited 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging me waiting in front of the department's cash registers. The gentleman working there was too busy sorting stuff in a red bin to be bothered by another customer asking him a question. After asking someone walking by for help and being told that she's doesn't work in the department, she calls him over. A sigh later, he asks me what I wanted, took his merry time to retrieve my order (solid 15 minutes), and another lengthy 5 minutes to process the paperwork. No exaggerations; not impressed.

I had our winter tires removed and replaced with our summer tires at this Canadian Tire Auto department. On the drive home, an audible metal on metal noise was heard coming from the front passenger's side wheel. Once home, I called the auto department and explained the situation to them. The technician told me that most likely the lug nuts were over tightened and to bring it by the following day for them to look at it. I decided to loosen the lug nuts myself rather than risk further damage by driving the car back to CT. When removing the lug nuts, 4 were hardly tightened at all while 2 were so tight, I had to strain to loosen them. After tightening the lug nuts, no more noise was heard. Apparently they DO NOT use a torque wrench to tighten lug nuts. Not only could they have ruined my wheels, they could have caused a lot of damage that I would have had to pay to repair. DO NOT use this Auto Department for ANY of your car's needs. The prices may be low, but so is the quality. I am going out tomorrow to buy a torque wrench to check the rest of the wheels as I doubt they tightened them properly as well. UPDATE: Turns out all the lug nuts were tightened to different torques! Not one was tightened properly, they were all either over or under. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR.

Website shows items in stock, you get to store, items nowhere to be found, staff don't know if they're inventory, misplaced, etc. These incidents sadly not isolated either. Unfortunately I did not take the guy's name who we spoke to. But I think he might be a manager or at least a superviser of the auto mechanical side. He was really unhelpful and quite frankly, rude. I just asked him a question on how to find out what the Amp's is of my vehicle so that I could buy the correct fan belt, as one of your other employees told me that the Amp's makes a difference in the size of the belt. And they then sent me to your auto mechanical section, where I then had to ask this specific guy to just give me information,(not to do any physical work) he's answer to me was,"how do you want me to do that?!" And then he had numerous other sarcastic things to say. We then were not able to identify the correct fan belt and because of that, we could not support you by buying the fan belt. I just want to say that I will not be supporting Canadian Tire fsj anymore!

I bought a hose that had a 5 year warranty and after 1.5 years it ripped it got a hole in it. I lost my receipt but I went to exchange the item for something of higher quality. After 30 minutes of standing and waiting while the service rep looked for the item code and searched for the transaction, we found that I purchased it with an old bank account that I didn't have the card for anymore. The service rep tried to phone a manager but they would not come to the desk. She finally called them and they refused to honour the warranty. I will remember this experience when choosing who I do business with in the future.

I was driving my car back home from Edmonton to the Yukon. My car had a fuel line rupture at the gas bar next door to the Fort St. John Canadian Tire. The auto shop was closed for the day. Audi Canada agreed to tow the car back to Edmonton for service. Unfortunately, I had to fly back to Whitehorse for work. The Canadian Tire Duty Manager, Lonny, was very helpful. She agreed to hold my car keys and give them to the tow truck driver once they arrived. She wouldn't accept any payment for this service. Very neighbourly. Very northern. Canadian Tire Fort St. John helped salvage a very bad trip. Thanks.

AVOID AUTO SERVICE DEPARTMENT BY ALL MEANS. My newly installed winter tires on a 2016 Toyota highlander picked a screw driver. I was told the tire is beyond repair. Behold they were more interested in telling me I need to buy new sets of 4-tires and estimates about other things I didn't come for. Ridiculous and absurd. I got the tire repaired for just over $20 in under 20 min at Garage Pete Demers - I recommend this guy. Won't be return to CT ever.

And usually they stand behind their products and exchange anything that fails prematurely. Besides Certified 2 ton car floor jack 009-1039-6 I bought here snapped off at the lifting arm. Luckily no one was injured Oromocto CT wouldn't exchange because i couldn't find receipt. (Understandable but disappointing) If there is something of significant value (ie large price tag tools) you are looking at getting watch for sales or talk to the manager as he/she will usually offer you its recent sales price. Also best price around for laundry detergent and paper towels. All in all very nice store and I'm happy to shop here mutiple times a week.

Ok yes automotive fella is kinda rude, but stick to your guns and push the issue, that battery warranty is a pain for them, he's really not that bad. Just smile, it wont hurt you i promise. Management has always been punctual when/if requested though sometimes they are busy, and you may have to wait a few minute, thats not a big deal. Maybe you were impatient when you walked in nay sayers. I like this place, and will continue to give them my business.

Took it there for fuel pump in july, idiots fixed battery and radiator for starting failer. Coat 1500$ 1 week later starting failer again and was told bring it back to fix it for free. So stupief me trusting these places took iy back. No im told t ignition module price 816$. 1 day later and 2300$ for my 700s car, starter failer. Fml call and im told it is the fuel pump.. If they tell you they have something in stock in the back be willing to wait 10 -20 mins to be told they have none. ???? Yeah. Not a math master but pretty sure between 1 and 21 doesn't equal 0. Otherwise its a Canadian tire not near as good as most others in Alberta.

Absolutely terrible service! Not sure if they're understaffed or if the staff is just undermotivated but don't expect any help at all whatsoever. And this was during the summer.. I can't imagine how they get through the holidays.

Curbside pickup was very easy and convenient. The auto shop has friendly staff that is honest and didn't try to upsell me. In store it looks like any other Canadian Tire.

The isles are so narrow now you can't get your cart through and if someone else comes in the other direction you're both blocked in. Maximizing floor space with useless items now and not what you want. No staff to get items up on walls. It feels like Zellers. Which is sad I used to like CT
