I had to take my car into the shop today after getting stuck on the side of the road, Nissan indicated to me in writing that this was 100% because whoever last touched my filters didn't install them properly. Again, I have all the codes as well as documentation they haven't done service on my car recently but that Oil Changers does my oil and filters. As a result, I called your manager Matt at the Kingston location on Princess and told him I would be coming in person to his location to discuss compensation for the damage done to my vehicle by his staff. I called him at 2:15pm and said I would be there ASAP before 4pm when he said he would be leaving. So I left work early, further lost income, in order to go meet him and arrived at 3:15pm to be told he had just left. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour for a manager to leave when a customer has informed them in advance they are coming by to meet to discuss a repair issue. He agreed to meet me, he did not call me back to change this or even tell his staff to expect me. Absolutely shameless customer service. I then tried to find your head office phone number and after a long search was met with a nondescript voicemail that made me think it was a wrong number. Of course, your receptionist also didn't answer the phone and still hasn't returned my call. I even tried calling the other Kingston location but Matt wasn't there either. Seems highly suspicious that he claims to his staff he had a meeting he didn't know about an hour earlier. Especially, when the customer always comes first!

Got an oil change back in June. Passing through from Saskatoon on route to Waskesui. Last one in to be serviced on a Friday evening. When I drove off from this parking lot, I could hear a dragging sound. When I got out, I saw that no longer was my bottom plate secured, the bolt had actually been completed tourqued off in addition to some oil leaking. We were the last ones in that evening, so they were already closed. When I brought this to the owners attention on Monday, via phone he said he reviewed the cameras and denied their staff taking any part in the damage. He sent me to a location in Saskatoon as I don't live in Prince Albert and they also said everything with the oil change itself was up to standard, which I agreed, looked proper. The owner called me the following day to say he was content with the visit, when I stated that I however was still upset that my vehicle was damaged, he got angry, started to raise his voice and said "what's the big deal? tons of people are driving around with zipped tied plates under their cars." He stated they had video evidence that my vehicle was intact upon exiting, however refused to have this footage sent to me for verification. This establishment damaged my vehicle and did nothing to acknowledge their wrong-doing or make any efforts to remediate this issue and retain a loyal customer who has been servicing her vehicles with Great Canadian Oil Change for the last several years. Greatly disappointed.

He'd a great experience here this week as we were travelling through Medicine Hat. We had to make a quick stop for an oil change and definitely picked the right place. These guys are professional and transparent with all the work they do. Extra services are offered with a good explanation of how they benifit the vehicle but no sales pressure was given. They offered drinks and colouring books for the kids while we waited as well. There are large monitors mounted outside the driver window so you can see everything they are doing while working on the car for an added level of transparency. Over all I highly recommend this place for a quick professional oil change.

They do "sell" extras (flushes, synthetic oil, new wipers, etc but never pushy I have had the oil done on 2 cars for over a year now and plan to continue. It would be nice if they stayed open later one night or maybe 1/2 day Sunday.

I took my VW here in mid June for an oil change. Two months later it started to act up so I took it in for repairs. The mechanic just informed me that the oil clearly hadn’t been changed in a very long time and was the cause of the issues. Not sure what they were doing while I was sitting in my car for an oil change but there’s no possible way my oil went from brand new to a thick black sludge that’s gumming everything up in two and a half months.

I would highly recommend this auto shop! They were able to accommodate me on the spot. I flew in fifteen minutes before I had to be at work and informed the staff I had a maintenance indicator on my dashboard. They reported that it would probably be the oil. I asked them to phone me when it was done. I saw a voicemail from them not much longer and was happy to pick up my Mitsubishi on my lunch. There were quite a few staff on the floor and no shortage of help, they were also all very kind. The notification on my dashboard was cleared and I was HAPPY! It was a lot more expensive than Id thought, with taxes I believe it was almost $90-$100? But they gave me the whole 9 yards and I couldn't be any more pleased with the service. I will definitely be back for my next oil change. :)

Took my car there for an oil change a couple days ago. Driving home from work today and my oil light came on. Pulled over and popped the hood to check the oil level, dip stick was bone dry, looked under the car and saw oil dripping onto the ground. Had to buy some oil to get me to a Midas down the road. After looking at it the guys at oil changers didn't tighten the oil filter on properly which caused all the oil to leak out of my car which then sprayed the entire bottom of my car with oil. Don't think I'll be returning to oil changers.

Commercial Vehicle drivers beware! Apparently at this location you need to start an account even if you've been to other Great Canadians. They said they accepted my fleet card before they started. Once they were almost done they broke the news that I didn't have an account and would have to pay out of pocket, which is fine in some cases but some companies it's not even worth pursuing.

Fantastic service from start to finish. It's hard to get excited about an oil change, but the service I received from Great Canadian Oil Change really warranted me writing a review. The first big thing is that they are open Sunday, which makes my life easier when I'm working throughout the week. On arrival the team offered me a complimentary drink and then worked through the service. I like the fact they have a screen with cameras that show you underneath the truck and the guys doing all their checks. I will certainly be going back again.

Sent my wife to Oil Changers for an oil change and in the process the staff asked if she wanted to change the engine air filter. My wife thought it looked clean but agreed to the change. She didn’t know what a clean or a dirty filter looked like. The filter had 9 months and 6,000 kms on it - the Subaru manual says to change every 24,000 kms. When you are dealing with a good shop, you don’t have to worry about these situations happening…

I cannot even give one star, because of the experience I had this location. In the passed, I have had great experiences, and now, I will do everything in my power to make sure NO ONE I know goes to this place. I had an oil change done at this location at the beginning of November, fast forward to two days ago when the engine in my car went, and I found out that technician who did my oil change in November, took my ,money, and didn't do his job. So now I am out a brand new car, and have to fork out $10,000.00 for a new engine because it isn't covered under warranty. We called to ask for documentation that this oil change was done, only to be called an idiot by the manager several times, and told we were just wasting everyone's time. So if you want them to take your money, and not do there job, by all means, go there.

Be careful if you don't know much about vehicles they will rip you off. My wife went there and they told her her vehicle needs the wrong oil. It says right on the cap what oil it takes . Put the wrong oil in, way over charged her. Stay away.

Had a very bad incident here a while back. Brought my car in for a simple engine oil change. All was good paid for everything took it home. Drove it for a week or two and checked my oil and it looked strangely red. Drained a small amount and they had put ATF in my engine instead of synthetic engine oil. I went back and showed the owner the situation, he spent almost an hour on the cams looking back while I waited only for him to find a video of them doing my car, he said from the video that the tech filled it from the 5w30 hose so he would not Honor anything since they did nothing wrong and it must have been my fault that there was ATF in the oil. I was friends with one of the workers there at the time and found out about a week later that whoever fills the tanks filled one wrong and put ATF in it. I used to go here often to get a quick oil change but after the experience and the way the owner handled himself and dealt with the situation I will never go back or recommend anyone to go here

Id give half a star if I could, only for fact they did seem to do the oil ok. Avoid getting anything done except oil change. Decline all extra services like filters, wipers and bulbs. They will not take responsibility for anything they cause that happens due to their shortcuts in process. They don't know proper ways to do some of the extras they offer and when done wrong, as what happened to me, it will cost you hundreds. Others have also mentioned this, only wish I'd read before going there.

I have never had a bad experience here other than the line up but that just speaks to the quality if service. Last week i went in because my car was tellingme it needed an oil change. I had switched to synthetic oil so i actuall still have 2000 kms.to go. I didn't realize but tge service tech explained it all to me. He then checked the oil, topped off by half a litre, and opened the door for me to go! No charge! You can't beat that kibd of service. You rock Great Canadian Oil Change!

i went to get an oil change on Aug 1st the attendant ask if i would like my Tire pressure checked and i said yes while the attendant was checking my tires he broke a valve on one of the tires and then attendant try’s telling me it’s not his fault. i came in with a driveable tire the valve was good when i came in well then the attendant put a spare tire on didn’t even appologise at all and kept on saying he didn’t do anything wrong well that tire valve cost me 115$ i got it fixed from fountain tire here in estevan. i would never go back for an oil change at great canadian oil change estevan ever again

Went in for an oil change on Saturday, the service provider was thorough and pleasant to deal with. However, they had very minimal knowledge on how to work on my Mini Cooper. They struggled to know how to change the oil filter, didn't necessarily know what type of oil to use, and did not have the proper gasket in stock which they did not notice until the oil change was already complete. They reused the old gasket and told me to come back if it was leaking, but that they would order one in on Monday. I called nearly a week after, and they stated that they did not order one and it would be fine to use the old one if it is not leaking. The manager (I assume) that I spoke to was quite rude, and made it sound like I wouldn't be receiving a new part and I should just stick with the old one because it would be inconvenient for him to order the part from the BMW dealership in Calgary. The phone call ended with him stating he would call the BMW dealership and get it ordered in, but it seemed like he had no intention of doing this.
