Above and beyond service! I had a tire with a piece of metal stuck through the tread. I took it to Canadian Tire which is only a few blocks away to get it repaired. The staff member looked at it (didn't touch it) for 2 seconds (literally) and said - "Can't fix it - too close to the sidewall. I can sell you two new tires though." I called around for a second opinion and the guys at Big O asked me to send a pic to them. They thought they could fix it, but would need to inspect it in person. I took it right down, they took a look right away, actually inspected it and determined that the metal had not actually pierced the tire. They remove it, tested it for any leaks and declared it fixed. All in about 10 minutes. I told them I would pay them and they said, "don't worry about it." A great outcome and managed very well by the team at Big O. I will be doing all my tire business there in the future.

Ok bought sensors in my winter tires and they didn't put them in. Which meant another trip to the shop... I did question it when I went back to get it torqued... so I had to find my paperwork to prove I had paid for it. Note: they'll take the first 10 in the morning and got them in during the day or you can make an appointment.

Had a great experience here, technicians here are professional and efficient, they go very straight forward with you and get down to business, after just a cup of coffee time my flat tire is fixed and ready to roll! Wow! I found them by walking by the previous night. I was approached when I’m checking their hours outside of the building. One of the technicians greeted me and answered my questions. He made me feel that I was taken care of. Their pricing is very reasonable, my car dealer could easily trick me into replacing my both rear tires for $1000. Will definitely recommend this place to my family.

They are super busy as they seem to be the best place to get tires in town. They do more than just tires though. For me, they replaced all the suspension, levelled my Ram and threw new wheels on it. It looks amazing and the service was good. My only issue was that they seemed super busy all the time and there was limited staff. They could use another front-end staff but otherwise my experience was positive and I will be using them again!

Let me say this not many places now a days offer old school service and approach. I am not an older person but when someone goes out of their way to give you good service and help you while being the best they can be I can only say is awesome! I had a flat tire and after going to Kal Tire in Coldstream I was promptly told I needed 4 brand new tires as they would not replace just one. My tire was not even fully flat AND it was a new set of tires and used 4 months during this last winter season. I refused to buy another set of tires so I had to change the fire to my spare myself. Over an hour later I was driving home when I noticed it felt like the spare was flat. So I pulled into Big O tire on 27th. I asked Len if he could fill the spare with air and after doing that he offered to try to fix my original tire. I told him that the last guy said it was ruined. To my amazement Len not only fixed my tire but the put it back on my car and then Didn't charge me!!! Who dies that anymore? I tipped him as it was a Friday and he was so lovely. He restored my faith in humanity! So all my essential services for my car are going through this mom and pop shop! Thank you!!

This review is long overdue. For months I have been in-and-out of this shop, with my car, my wife's car, and my buddy's truck. We have bought tires, had alignments done, wheel and tire balancing, mounting, and unmounting. The guys behind the desk are top notch. Super friendly, while many auto shops are gruff, these guys are so welcoming. Today, not needing any work done, but missing a few center caps for rims I purchased ages ago, they pulled down bins full of center caps for me to rummage through with the hope I could find a matching set. Unfortunately I couldn't find a set, but they went above and beyond for me yet again. Unbelievable service. There is no place I'd rather have my tires, rims, or alignment done. Thanks guys!

I had a nail puncture my tire and was turned away at Mr. Lube. You’d think at my next stop, the dealership where I purchased the car from would help, but they turned me away too. Of course it was a Saturday too…hard day to get anyone’s help. I was almost out of options, but heard of a business called, BIG O TIRES, which happened to be open on a Saturday. Even they didn’t take walk-ins, I explained my situation to Tony (Manager) and the urgency to get my tire repaired so I could pick up my son. He managed to fit me in 30 minutes after they opened, even though they were booked for the day. Tony assigned his best tire repair man, his name was Jackson. My car is very customized, including the wheels, but Jackson said it was an easy job for him. I was so grateful for their help and Jackson’s professional talents with cars. I will definitely be back again if I need tires or an emergency occurs with one of the ones, just purchased over-the-summer. If you want a service centre who is willing to help if they can AND have you leave feeling valued and cared about, choose BIG O TIRES at 1319 Quadra Street and ask for Tony Tummilia, Sales Manager. If you’re lucky you’ll get Jackson to service your vehicle. Thank you fellas, sincerely grateful!

This place is great! Everyone is super friendly and professional and all covid 19 protocols are followed! I went in mid day and they were able to schedule me an apt for a full inspection the next day. Although I knew what I needed to get done they did an inspection anyways just to be sure. Was able to schedule my car a week later to get the repairs done. Struts, ball joints, control arms and a full alignment. The price was fair and they were honest about everything! I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of at all. Anyways long story short this place was awesome and will now be my mechanic for all things! Thanks again TJ and team! ????????

I had a brake job done by Big-O approx 10 months ago at their Johnson St shop(now @ corner of Pandora & Quadra). ???????? In the last week I’ve had a progressively increasing clicking progressing to scraping sound from my front right wheel to where, yesterday, because of continued scraping sound we didn’t even do our usual drive to Ogden Breakwater for favorite evening walk. I went online to find a place to install a headlight bulb. I was looking for same day service. This was about 3pm. When I found Big O Tires their website had a chat function. The response was quick and positive sounding. Within minutes I was directed to call a service advisor. Lukas was friendly & got right onto solving my problem. He got the bulb from his warehouse and asked me to be there for 4pm. When I arrived I was quickly served. By 5:15 pm (past closing time) my car was ready. Lucas had done the work himself and answered my questions about the job. This is a busy place but the staff were friendly and although appeared to be tired from the day's work maintained a positive & professional attitude throughout the time I was there. My wife got new tires on her car recently and needed her lug nuts tightened. Big O Tires was near her office and they were happy to do it and didn’t charge. A week later she had a noise coming from her car. She took it to them last minute and they were again happy to help. They took off both front tires and eventually found a rock in the dust guard. Drove up from Edmonton AB, and my front tires we're pooched by the time I got to Vic. Popped by Big O tires and asked them if they had anything used that could be mounted quick and easy and they followed through perfectly. They took me to their tire storage room, helped me pick out a pair of tires based on my needs and budget and told me I could come back and have them mounted later THAT DAY! even though they were quite busy (A job a few shops in Penticton refused to do in the same day when I passed through previously). A mount and balance of decent used tires cost less than $200 and I left with a smile on my face. I would recommend them to anyone due to their fantastic customer service and professionalism.

Most recently, I picked up my vehicle after having my summer tires put on - when I arrived, they let me know that I had a bulge in one of my summers but that they had just sourced a quality used tire for an insanely reasonable price and put it on for me. Nov 12, 2021 I had the worst customer service experience of my life today at Big O Tires on W. Broadway. To provide some context, earlier in the week I brought my car in to get my winter tires installed, which they did without a hitch. However, the next day one of the tires was flat so I stopped by their shop to have them take a look. They didn’t have space to put the car up to examine the tire so they filled the tire with air and said to come back in the morning if the tire went flat again (actually the day after due to the next morning being a holiday and they were closed). The tire indeed went flat overnight and I had to get it towed to the Big O shop on the holiday. I wasn’t with the tow truck when they delivered the car to the shop, so I didn’t see where they left it, which happened to be to the right of one of their parking garage entrances. When I arrived this morning at the shop I saw that my car was “first in line” as it was closest to the garage doors; however, it wasn’t directly in front of the garage door, and it needed to be moved so that the tire racks could be relocated outside. It was at this point that I heard several employees start cursing (F* this, F*that) and when I explained why my car was not located directly in front of the garage door because that’s where the tow truck left it, they (at least two of the employees) shouted with invective and further expletives (“…Move your F*ng car!!”). After this tirade of verbal abuse, the driver of the car parked next to (and slightly behind) me generously offered to move his car back so that I could go in front of him (after hearing me say that I had the car towed there the day before). As he started moving his car back and I began repositioning my car, one of the employees lashed out again with “move your f*ng car!” even though it was obvious that we were in the process of rearranging vehicles. Once the car was in the garage, I was served by a more respectable employee who explained why the tire was losing air and what was necessary to repair it. All in all, I have never encountered such unprofessional and debased communication from employees of a public business toward a customer. If this encounter had been videorecorded and posted on social media I can say with confidence that it would have been shocking and appalling to anyone with decency. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Big O tire shops again!

Booked an appointment over the phone a few days ahead. When I told them I had an appointment booked, I was given a hard time because I wasn't on their schedule. Turns out they booked me incorrectly and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by coming in. So they tried to fit me in like I was a walk-in and didn't even apologize for their mistake, took about 3 hours for them to do the job for an oil and air cabin filter which doesn't even take my regular mechanic in Vancouver 1 hour. Charged me for 3 hours of labor lol. Overall unfriendly customer service and some eyebrow raising pricing. It's too bad, the Big O in Vancouver is amazing at customer service, which led me to bring my car in this Victoria location. The experience is day and night.

5+ stars for Big O Tires - highly recommended! My hot engine and oil light came on while driving downtown Victoria. To make it worse, I was under time constraints to catch a ferry home. So stressful. I walked to their tire location. They called over to the service manager, Neal, at their mechanical location, The Downtown Garage on Pandora. When I got there, the mechanic immediately came out to have a look and ran diagnostics on the engine. They couldn't fix it that day but were extremely professional and helpful. They followed up with me as promised and the vehicle was ready as soon as the part arrived. Neal and his people were fantastic, I was so grateful for their understanding and service. These guys helped me immediately - checked my tire and deemed it to be not repairable (huge gash in the sidewall - thanks curb!). I will not be using Big O Tires again - they only performed part of the job I requested, while trying to charge me the full amount. When I requesting my work online, I noticed there was an option to add on an oil change for $40, so I took it. When they told me the work was done, I asked about my oil change, and they hadn't done it or even noticed I'd requested it. They did, however, still try to charge me for it. They apologized and said they could do it the next day once I pointed it out, but when I phoned to double check the price they said it would be $85 - significantly more than having it done as an add-on to my tire change or at a competitor. Additionally, the staff member who assisted me was surly as soon as I walked in, and seemed annoyed at having to interact with me. I'm still giving 2 stars because they were able to quickly get the correct tires, and installed them correctly.

He had a tire ordered for me right away, took my rim and had it put on so all I had to do was show up and get it swapped with my spare. Out of all the garages I've dealt with, Gary was the best. He didn't treat me like a "girl that doesn't know cars" .. which a lot of the other garages had. I explained how I needed it to get home to Halifax after my training so he made sure to get it done quickly. If I'm ever out in BC again and need tires, I will 100% come back here.

I am new to Victoria and needed an inspection done for my BC registration and they were able to fit me in within a couple of days. I have a Mercedes, and went to the Big O on Broadway hoping to save a few bucks on a set of tires. Got great ties for a great price. That was a year ago. Now I needed a new set of wheel because of curb rash, so I drove to see them and they came up with a better solution so I wouldn't have to downgrade the quality of my mercedes wheels. These guys are straight up!! The do not ry to rip you off and seem to put customer satisfaction ahead of money. See these fellows if you have tire problems!

more like Big A-hole tires. I took my car in to get my winter tires swapped which are already mounted on the rims. This was the 4th year in a row that I took it to OK. I'm waiting and the mechanic comes out and tells me he can't take the tires off because one of the lug nuts was misthreaded. His tone was rude and he used foul language before I said a word. It was extremely unprofessional. I responded with, you're a tire shop, can't you simply break the lug and replace it? They tell me no. I explain that they put the tires on my car 2 months previous and that the tires have not been removed since. They should fix it or send me to a shop that does. The manager offers to do NOTHING. He tells me I cant prove that his shop misthreaded the lug nut and to be on my way. He doesn't offer to send me to a shop that can give me a discount or fix the problem that their mechanic caused. He doesn't even offer an "im sorry for your trouble or misfortune". Im writing this today because I need to buy tires. Can you guess which shop Im NOT going to?

I needed four new tires and called to find out what tires they recommended for my vehicle and how much it would cost. They were super efficient in getting me the information, explaining which rated tires I should buy and booking me in quickly so that I got an advertised tire rebate. They asked my name and gave me theirs. I started working with Tony and ended working with Gary. They very carefully and clearly explained the warranty and the services they offer for tire rotation and repairs. They passed along a tire rotation record to help jog my memory with the receipt. It really feels like this shop wants to look after you. They want you to come back for the free tire rotations and repairs. I have four wonderfully quiet and smooth new tires. My 12 year old SUV feels brand new again. Because of this fantastic service, and convenient location, I think I'll head to their new maintenance shop for any future tune-ups. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about Tony and his staff at Big O Tires. I have been taking my cars there for years and have always received excellent, friendly service. I’m self-employed and, like so many others, have lost my job because of Covid-19. Yesterday I noticed my rear left tire completely flat; it wouldn’t take air. I took it into Big O today praying it could simply be repaired and not have to be replaced, as I hadn’t a spare. Unfortunately, it was toast, and I was told I’d need a new one. Tony produced a tire and was kind enough to say he could have it put on for $100, which was around half the usual cost (I’d already had one replaced a few months ago for $190). I said they should go ahead as I had no choice, but it was plain for all to see that the news was upsetting. When the job was done Tony came out to say, essentially, that the tire/installation was free ... that I could pay them when I had the funds. I was almost overcome with emotion, and thanked them profusely. Shout out to the tall fellow with dark hair who helped me at reception, put the tire on himself, and offered warm words of encouragement. Much appreciated.

I had recently replaced my spark plugs, and while the engine runs, no engine code, it wasn't smooth. Went to a national chain and was told it was my continuous variable transmission CVT, only my model does have CVT. Mike at Big O drove my suv then talked to me about when he was able to confirm, spark plugs fine, no air leaks and asked if I removed the battery, I had and that reset the computer, so any adjustments the computer made over the years were gone. Mike cleaned the throttle body and now it's so much smoother, and over next few months will get better as the computer makes adjustments. Great to know the reason, otherwise I would have replaced the spark plugs, look for air leaks etc.

I used the online booking request to get my tires fixed (slow leak). I got an email confirmation right away and had some one contact me shortly after. They were able to book me on for the time I requested the next day! I dropped off on time and it was done early (even thought they seemed super busy!). Kevin (who contacted me via email then text about the appointment) was super efficient and communicative! Gary working the front desk was super polite and knowledgeable, and I was stoked to hear the team checked all tires and gave me an update on tires in general and a few other questions I had as well! The price was great too, slightly lower than competitors. We’ve gone there before too with another vehicle With issues and had similar service. They are honest and transparent with prices and labour and are super easy to chat with. Although the location can seem kind of tricky sometimes to get into, they make it easy for you to park and leave too. We will be going back and recommend!!

The person on the phone was very nice and didn’t seem to mind helping me find the right set of winter tires, no matter how long I tied him up on the phone for. When I got to the shop for my appointment it was clean, and everyone was very friendly. They didn’t mess around or waste any time. They did the job right. There’s lots of ways to be picky when you put new tires on and I am very happy with how they mounted and balanced my new winters. They feel nice and smooth driving down the highway. After having horrendous dealings with another unrelated tire company in town that will remain nameless I was very impressed coming to Big O Tire. Will be back for sure. The man at the front desk even made me laugh as he took my money ;)

I went over to see them last week as my front tires were starting to make a sound from cupping. They are mud terrain tires. They suggested I get them rotated. Its a temp fix for the issue. I then got a quote for new tires. I asked if they could rotate my tires. It was a busy day. They said no problem. 40 Min later I was on my way. I had purchased a full set of tires from them in the past. They did not even charge for the rotation. The tires are riding better and when they start to mess up again I will see them for the new tires. Thank you for the great service!

Brought my car over to get a flat fixed. The mechanic tried to explain that the tire cannot be repaired. The explanation was quite cringy as he tried so hard to convince me that the tire in not repairable. ( I am also a mechanic ). The person at the front was just as terrible. He was more concerned in selling me a used tire. Even tried to sell me 2 tires that are "almost" the same size. I ended up bringing my car to another shop. 30 mins later job is done. No issues. No BS. The only thing good I can say about Big O is that they didn't charge me to install the spare tire. And I was really surprised they didn't try to. Customers beware. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion from another shop if you have any doubts.

Garnet saved the day for me and my family. I had rented a car in Kelowna and we were spending a few days staying in Vernon and skiing at Silver Star. On day 2, the driver's side wiper stopped working and the snow was falling steadily. I pulled in to Big O and Garnet confirmed that the assembly had become stripped. He looked for a replacement but the new part would have to be shipped in from the coast. Garnet got creative and swapped the two wipers. And he was able to tighten the stripped wiper arm so that it was operational. Also note that Garnet was going to drive us up to the mountain if he couldn't get it working. Now that is going above and beyond!

Friendly to set up appointment . On time. Reasonable price for my out of province vehicle inspection . When I took my vehicle after inspection I head a 'Snap' and pulled over. The guy who installed my rear wiper blade forgot to take it and dispose and it slid from my rear window and luckily caught on the new wiper but could have fallen off at high speed and caused concern for a tailing vehicle . Just a bit sloppy but no harm done.

Purchased a set of Winter tires for my BMW X3. one week later, I received a call from the shop asking to "Check the tire size" of my car. The tires installed were the wrong size and I was asked to return for replacements. (They needed the tires for another customer) after spending another 1.5 hours at the shop getting the error corrected, I was offered no compensation except I got "free use of tires for a couple of weeks." one week later, my Tire pressure monitor sensor lit up. One tire was low. Not a big deal, but I noticed the chrome caps I had put on when I bought the vehicle (one year ago) were replaced with black plastic ones. Will I go back? No too likely.

Service was excellent. They recommended a tire. I checked out reviews and it rated extremely well, as they suggested it would. Pricing was reasonable so I asked when I could come by. They said, "any time". I arrived 45 minutes later to find them very busy but they fit me right in and I had the car back 45 minutes later. Doesn't get much better than that!

To preface: I only decided to pay Big O Broadway a visit, due to a cordial reply I received to an inquiry. It was actually quite welcoming and insightful so I do thank the management for that. 'Ye Olde Drive-Thru Tire Shop" There should really be a sign outside that says 'Abandon all hope, all ye who enter', unless you drive a base model Kia or Toyota matrix with the basic stock specs for balloon tires and winter mode, (which they'd probably upsell you on regardless) this 'merry' gang of chaps will only attend to the tire specs that they know, anything else they are righteously clueless about or would rather banish from existence. Weirdly enough even my OEM factory specifications were rejected. "NO, THOSE WON'T FIT" A resounding bellow told me all I needed to know about this hole in the walls "guarantee to customers". Never in my days of automotive modification have I heard such a resentment towards a tried and true wheel specification, let alone the lack of enthusiasm to even want my coin. What irked me the most was the absolute dismissal of my knowledge of the specifications I had planned for, and the many examples of setups I could dig up for reference. They decided it would be well worth their time to blather on about their skepticism for how the tires "wouldn't fit" when a simple google search of the specifications on the exact same wheels render countless imagery of the exact setup working. Clearance isn't rocket science, it's simply understanding the rotational diameter in relation to the fender, of which I had a grand canyon's depth of clearance. "TRY A DIFFERENT TIRE SHOP" Usually if you have a customer on hand, it's up to you to make them feel welcome and or listened to, and neither of those were addressed in my brief time there. 1. Order a set of tires that they deemed would fit 2. Reschedule, once said tires are ordered. I had a much more pleasing and smooth experience with 1010 tires SE Marine Drive and their decades ahead tools and helpful attitude. They found a new set and ordered it in an instant without any qualms or needless inquisition about fitment. PLEASE READ: Covid Protocols were NOT followed, whether you believe in this pandemic or not it's important to follow the nationwide business protocol that requires all employees to wear a mask during hours of operation and all the more reason to, while interacting in close proximity to customers. Though I do understand how it can be hard to work with a mask on especially during physical exertion, at least wear one when you're interacting with customers. Thanks for letting me roll through, but that's really just about all that was accomplished.

Like many women, I've had a lot of demoralizing encounters with mechanics in the past. You will not find that here. The staff at this Big O is always super friendly, super respectful, and treats me exactly the same as they treat my male partner. I'm honestly not much of a car person, but any time they've done extensive work they explain it in a clear but not condescending way, so I leave feeling confident they've done their job, and having learned something. They also do great work without trying to sell me on doing more than I need, are efficient, and have always been accommodating when I've needed emergency appointments. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone from the staff and to manager i booked an appointment for buying all season tires and i booked it September 19 2020 02:30 pm and they already confirmed it and e mailed me it was confirmed i do deposit too and one of the staff call me that i suppost to go in the shop 9am so i was rushing to go in the shop as early even thou i have a lot of things to do before that and after that they already finished changing tires to my car one of their mechanic hit my car to the other car i have videos and picture to proof what happen they talked to me they will repair it at the end they didnt and they want me to pay only for 267$ or i will go to their recommended shop to go and i dont have that to do that so i demand 300$ just to finished that one but the thing is THE MECHANIC WHO DID THAT DIDNT REACH ME TO SAY SORRY AND THE MANAGER WAS RUDE HE JUST WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE MONEY IS THAT THE TYPE OF SERVICE YOU OFFERING YOU JUST WANT TO OFFER THE MONEY AND NOT TO SAY SORRY OR SOMETHING "the manager talk to me " " So what we gonna do?" that's it ? and after transaction "YOU GONNA SAY TO ME WE'RE GOOD ? "your staff cant handle the situation " i know not every customer is always right the thing is how you can handle the situation to satisfied them I WOULD NEVER GO BACK ON THIS SHOP IT WAS AWFUL AND VERY DISAPPOINTING " AND I SAW THE MANAGER TALK TO HIS STAFF TO KEEP IN SILENT BECAUSE THE OTHER OWNER DIDNT KNOW THAT HER CAR WAS HITTED TOO
