I always bring my car to Gordons and always get great service but today was exceptional. The work on my brakes was taking longer than expected so they drove me home so I didn't have to wait at the garage any longer. I got home only to realize that I left my house keys on the key ring that they had. Not only did they bring my house keys back to me in record time, they'll be dropping my car off once it's ready to spare me the trip. All with a smile.Thanks, guys. Horrible experience! TWICE! Changed tires with them last year and my car started vibrating. Took it back and they told me that the person who installed the tires was a junior and didnt do a good job. Had to wait for them to fix the issue. Even though that was the case I decided to go back to them this year. Called in in the morning and the guy said come in any time in the morning and we will do it for you. I go in at 11 am and they say they would not touch it until 1 to 2 pm!!!!!!! Lady at the cashier was extremely rude. Will not be going there again for sure! Bad technical and customer service.

The technicians have always been very professional, and a couple times Bruce himself has served me at the front and he's been friendly, attentive and I've always left feeling well taken care of. I don't often write reviews, but I noticed a previous review, and felt I had to add my impressions of Gordons. I have my own business, and know how much work it takes to build things up and manage good client relations and the businesses reputation, and I feel Gordons are doing a bang-up job! I don't know who you are "Ben" but a google search brings up nothing, and your Google + page looks dubious to me. Are you for real? Your rant looks a little far fetched to me. Just wondering! ;)

Gordon's Goodyear has been for the most part, my exclusive car and van repair center, for both tires and auto service since 1994. Their service is excellent, and unlike some stations, they will only do the work requested. But they will point out when they feel something should be looked at or serviced down the road to prevent problems. Three vans I have owned have been serviced by them, two Dodge Caravans and a Kia Sedona. My ex had her Volkswagen Golf looked after. They stand behind their tire products too, repairing flats and blowouts for free. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and don't work on commission like some shops, so they are truly customer focused. BONUS: When looking to buy a new or used vehicle, they can advise you which ones to avoid, due to recurring defects or service issues. The best in town in my books!

I've been using Gordon's for a long time, always liked talking to the old man, who isn't around anymore. Unfortunately I haven't had great service as of late and today's experience has lost them my business and my families as well. My battery was draining and the car wouldn't start. I suspected a fuse or the remote opener was responsible, and I told them this clearly on the phone before dropping off the car. The car wasn't ready until the next day, which I found out by phoning them, not the other way around, and was told that the problem was the remote control starter (I don't have one). The problem would have to be fixed by someone else as Gordon's doesn't do this. Why they couldn't tell me that BEFORE taking my keys wasn't explained, but I walked out with a car that was in the same broken state as before and me out $103 for them to tell me some fictional problem. Nothing I said mattered and the Ahole who worked on my car didn't even have the respect to come out and tell me personally, instead relaying the message to the woman out front as if playing some stupid game of broken telephone. Never again!

Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Brought two cars in to change tires on two different days. One car was ready in 45 minutes the other 5 hours!. If you stay around they work on your car. If you tell them you'll be back when its ready well.. you get the picture. Eventhough we store our tires there it made no difference. It should. Otherwise clean and comfortable place to wait. Used to go to Merson but I was not happy with the service I was getting. Glad I made the switch for now. I'll see how long it takes to change back to summer tires. I just had my tires changed at Gordons. There was a noise coming from my suspension so I asked them to take a look at it. I arrived at 7:15 am and they were done with everything by 9:30 am. The car was sitting in the parking lot. I waited until 10:30 am to see what was going on and I was told that the mechanic had written an estimate for repairs but that he had a "meeting" to attend and that he would be back to discuss. I waited until 11 at which point the mechanic had yet to return. Clearly, they knew that I had stayed there to wait for the car and they could have talked to me right away. It was absolutely inappropriate to wait over 1 and 1/2 hours to talk to the mechanic while my car was sitting in the parking lot. This is blatant disrespect for their customer's time. I will not be returning to this garage in the future and cannot recommend their services.

It's one of few garages in Montreal which is really organized and well-managed. Staff are very welcoming and professional at the same time. You can really trust on appointments time and plan based on that. Another point is you can take an appointment online, but you should create an account for that.

Fast and efficient place to bring your car for tire/ oil changes and other minor repairs. But it gets very busy during the winter tire changing season, so it is best to make an appointment - as opposed to lining up at 6 am and forced to take whatever time is available. Also helps if you have them store your winter/ summer tires for about $150 per year.

Took appointment at 7am they gave it at 1pm on same day. The problem I mentioned was steering alignment and passenger side tire is making a noise. I went at 1pm and mechanic (I think it’s Toni)told there is no problem with the steering alignment. Just changed the position of tire and After coming out the problems mentioned for steering alignment and tire alignment were solved. Professional.

Just book an appointment and they will fix it. I was amazed at the availability of parts and their willingness to get the part for you. The staff at Gordons are all very polite and very pleasant. Haven't experienced the service in person; have tried to, but there are no way to get an appointment for tire change. This is so 1985. In 2016 there are a zillion ways to schedule people, from web to apps. I give it two stars because of this, actual work may be stellar, but no appointment capability is so lame.

Today (Dec. 12, 2021) I had a scheduled brake service that should have taken between 60-90 minutes, but instead took 2.5 hours. This is because the brake parts had not been ordered in advance, even though I had made this appointment 1 month ago. I was then told that even though they were ordered that morning from Napa Auto Parts and that they would be delivered quick, they were actually not on the initial delivery. This caused an additional delay as they had to be ordered again. For appointments such as mine which are made in advance and with knowledge of what parts are required, why are the parts not ordered beforehand? And again, as with my previous review, poor mask wearing habits on the part of all staff.

Gordon's was our 'go to' garage for years. They used to be amazing. They were very reliable and honest and offered great work and competitive pricing. However, in recent years, the service has gone completely downhill. They also don't care about customer loyalty. Although they claim that they do a thorough check, when changing tires and having a seasonal tune-up, I discovered that they really do not. Their negligence cost me a lot of money and time. Also, my husband had mechanical work done in the summer and later discovered that the work was not done properly. That too resulted in a waste of time and additional repair bills. No apologies or compensation from Gordon's. We stuck with them longer than we should have, but recently found another mechanic. He even squeezed me in yesterday, for my winter tire installation. WIth Gordon's, I would still be waiting. Do yourself and your car a favor and go somewhere else.

Make sure you go to the "Pneus Gordons" at the corner of Cavendish and St-Jacques with bright yellow/black signs. There are other tire shops that use the name "Gordon". Besides for tires, this is by far one of the best places in Montreal for suspension diagnosis and alignment. The front desk client service staff are friendly. The mechanics are professional and constantly on the go. The garage is well-equipped for alignment. This 10 (12?) bay shop operates like a well-oiled machine. As a shade tree mechanic/hobbyist, I've been trying to figure out a obscure suspension issue on a friend's car for weeks. After replacing everything that seemed to be wrong, and aligned twice elsewhere, I brought the car over to Gordons for a diagnostic opinion and possibly another round of alignment. With just two quick braking tests in and out of the bay, a mechanic identified the hidden culprit which was not obvious in a typical suspension check up when having all tires in the air. He was also kind to give me a brief lesson and discussed all options of repair and alignment. The labor rate is very reasonable, and especially considering the high level of expertise. If you are looking for a trustworthy shop for tires, suspension, and alignment, I think Gordons is the place to go.

After having gone to the dealer for an oil change, I was given a workorder for $500 of work. Sceptical I went to the a nearby local St Laurent Garage that had been recommended by many. There they told me the Dealer's workorder was warranted, and they would do it for $100 less. Later that afternoon, they call to tell me that I have only 6% brakes left, and that they were afraid for my safety. They would do the emergency work for another $800. Why not leave it now, or they would come and pick it up from work and deliver it back later. They even called my son to let him know I was in danger. Spidey senses were going off... So, yesterday I went to Gordon's to let Bruce access the work and workorder. Well, it seems that the only item on my list that warranted changing was... you guessed it... the oil. That means that, I paid $400 for an oil change, but could have paid $100 more. As for the brakes... well they were at 60% not 6%. And that garage had showed me a picture of the computer eval. Bruce (the owner) was truly amazing, even though this is their busy period, he still took his time explaining every thing to me, and told me "don't worry about it, just chalk it up to experience." I love this garage, its clean, you can make an appt to come in, and they have a wifi work area. You can go into the garage itself and eat off the floor. If you are looking for fair and Honest, go to Gordon's and see Bruce!

I recently took my car in for a synthetic oil change and to put on my winter tires, I was sure to mention to the gentleman at the counter if they can check the fluids because a few of them were nearing the minimum line, if not already there. He assured me that it is part of the package when receiving an oil change. I left the car for the entire day, and when picking up the car, I asked if they were able to check all the fluids and the counter attendant assured me that they did and made sure to top off my windshield washer fluid. I thanked them while making my payment. I returned home, happy to have serviced my car at a "trustworthy" garage. I was recently refilling my windshield washer fluid, about 2 weeks after getting my car serviced at Gordons' and I noticed that a few of the fluid reservoirs that I had asked to have checked (and filled if needed) were below the minimum line. I didn't realize that I had to inspect the car right after stepping out of Gordons' to ensure that they did what they were paid for. I am very disappointed in the dishonesty and carelessness of the service team there. Already, as a woman bringing my car into any garage, I feel weary that they will try to fool me. But I would assume that if one sees a reservoir near empty, they would drain and refill, or simply just refill. Needless to say, I am very unimpressed and would not recommend Gordons'.

Excellent experience. I purchased a new set of summer tires from Gordon's and noticed after a few weeks that a tire was leaking. I brought it in and the issue was fixed for free. The other tires were also checked for a similar problem. Staff were all very friendly/helpful and the work was finished in good time. Would highly recommend.

They found a used rim that we thought might fit on my friend's car after his tire blew out and needed a new tire and rim to swap out instead of getting his car towed. when it didn't fit, we brought over the rim from the car and they swapped it at no charge and refunded him for the used rim.

I have been happy with them in the past but for tire change appointments I will go elsewhere. Despite making an 8 am appointment, at 8:45 my car is still sitting outside I remind them. After waiting over an hour (they had said I would likely be out within an hour) they check and say 2 tires are done. At 9:19 I am told it’s ready.

Staff is amazing especially Tom! But the time they take to do a service is way too long and very expensive considering how long it takes. The first time I went to get my tires changed they made me wait for an hour and then told me the tires can’t fit on the car. The second time I went they made me wait for an hour again and told me one of the mags is damaged... they then told me they will get the mag repaired and it’s been gone out to be repaired since the past 7 days. There are other tire shops out there that do these services fast, cheaper and perhaps even better. I wouldn’t recommend going to Gordans unless you want to leave your car at there shop for 8 days to get one mag repaired and tires changed...... maybe this was in my case but overall the company provides good service.

I have been going to Gordon's for over 20 years. As a teenager I did all of my own auto repairs (all, engine replacements, axel changes, brakes, tune-ups). Anyone can do the work. I deal with Gordon's because they are straight. They have always given me options and good advice. They have never ripped me off. They do excellent work. If they have ever been more expensive than the cheapest guy there is a reason. If they take longer than a business with fewer customers in the busiest season there is a reason. I want a garage that I can trust above all and Gordon's is that garage. Bruce, your father is proud of you and so are 99.9% of your customers... we keep filling your bays.

Awesome---Friday night of a long weekend I blew a tire on the highway and was towed into this place. Saturday morning they couldn't have been more helpful. Couldn't get a new tire on the long weekend so they fixed me up with a used one that could get me home, about 700 km away. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat. Thank you to Bruce and his guys. You were a lifesaver.

They are a bunch of crooks. Went in with an issue where my windshield wipers would clean the windshield and stop around the middle of my windshield instead of the bottom. They checked it and told me that my windshield wiper motor is broken and needs to be replaced for over 400$ for parts and labor. Across the street mersons offered me the motor + labor for less than 300$ (without taking a look at the problem as per my request). I still didn't think it was the motor, since my windshield wipers still worked, they just stopped at the wrong place. I had it checked at another garage on the same street (A/Z Atlas) they fixed it in 15mins by simply tightening it. Charged me about 25$ for doing that. *UPDATE: The Mechanic from another garage said that the way my wipers were re-installed couldn't have happened without human intervention. Gordon's is the only place that checked my car prior to this.*

Had a horrible experience this past weekend. I originally called in and as told that it's about a 30 minute wait for an oil change. When I got in Bruce advised me it's about 45 minute wait which I figured would be OK since a few cars may have come in between my call and the time I arrived. After about 45 minutes I walked up to Bruce and asked him when my car would go in and he stated that it would be another 30 minute wait because they had some issues with two other cards in the lot. About 45 minutes after that I walked up to Bruce again and he said any minute I will be going in. Notice that he did not come to me to give me an update on why it's taking so long or apologize for the delay, I had to go to him to follow up and find out what is taking so long. 5 minutes later he asked me to drive my car into the bay and the guy did not start working on my car for another 10 minutes. To add insult to injury, when I went to pay for the oil change, Bruce who is the owner's son charged me more then usual. When I asked him why the difference in price between now and the previous times that I came in to change my oil he said that prices went up recently on oil changes. Bruce never apologized for the making me wait longer then he originally stated nor did he apologize for not setting the right expectations from the get go. What he did do is charge me more for making me wait close to 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. Obviously Bruce and Gordon Goodyear business is all about taking and milking the customer's money for as much as they can and not about building relationships. Bruce you really disappointed me and knowing your father I am sure that this is the opposite of what he originally intended for the business. He was all about making money by building relationships, you are obviously all about the money and don't care about relationships with your customers. Bruce if you do not change your business style you'll probably end up taking down the business that your father spend so long to build up within one generation due to your greed, lack or engagement and interaction with your clients.

I can’t believe that there are reviews that this is a trustworthy garage. Although my experience was some years back it left quite a bitterness within me. They are as shady as you can get. I had my brakes done there (Pads and New Discs) . After 2 weeks I felt that something was wrong. I returned to Gordon’s and they assured me that nothing was wrong. The so called mechanic told me that the discs looked brand new and in great working condition. Well I wasn’t satisfied. I went to my Honda dealer . They told me that the discs looked as though they were from a junkyard. I again returned to Gordon’s now to have another mechanic tell me that the discs are in very poor condition as he stated “You must be some horrible driver to do this to the discs in such a short period of time”.May I say that these two trips to Gordon’s and one to my dealer were all in the same day HMMM?? They however machined the discs free of charge acting as though they were doing me a monumental favour WOW . That lasted for a week at most . I had to get the job redone at Honda . Never had a problem like this before or after (44yrs driving) Absolutely would not RECOMMEND FOR ANY MECHANICAL WORK. Not only did they rip me off but they compromised my life and the life of others . THESE ARE BRAKES FOR GODS SAKE .

Wonderful Tire selection, professional mechanic's to make needed repairs at honest competitive prices. Friendly atmosphere with customer waiting area .WiFi and lots of morning news papers. Counter with high stools to work with your laptop while you wait. Very bright and sunny area. And next door to Tim Hortons. All work is recorded on their computer so if you don't remember when you last had an oil change, they do ,so all you have to do is call. And for new car warranties on oil changes they can print out that information any time if needed you don't have to go to your dealer

First time here, and what a great experience even without an appointment. Super organized and on time. I wasn't sure where to go for the early morning winter tire line up, but I was met out front by a guy who showed me where to wait before they officially opened. The waiting area is warm, has wifi, and spaces to plug in and work. I was about 10th in line and was done by about 9am. A bit more expensive than expected, but they also had to transfer onto my rims. Still worth it.

We recently had a warranty issue with the tires on our Audi. They had been purchased and installed by another tire shop while we were living in Western Canada. Bruce and his staff treated us with professionalism, respect and class, taking the time to understand the issue and quickly responded by getting the manufacturer to cover half of the cost to replace our tires. We've since returned to Gordon's for additional work on our second vehicle. First class service.....we'll be a customer for life!

Brought my car here on a Sunday afternoon because I had a flat tire and needed it fixed. I like the fact I was able to walk in on a Sunday without an appointment. I was seen right away, and I like the use of volcanization to fix a flat. My experience would have been 5/5, but when I left I realized that my wheel was left slightly damaged due to the way my lugnuts were removed.

They do not even know it is not OK to change only one tire, if a tire is damaged, either both front tires or both back tires have to be changed. Also, it was hard to explain them what needs to be done. If you have problem with your tires, you can choose another place.

Just awful! My wife took our car into Gordons for a specific problem, a problem that she explained very clearly over the phone. She dropped off the car and keys and told them again, in person, what was the matter. Later, when it was time to retrieve the car, it was explained to her that they aren't able to take care of that particular issue but were happy to give her the number of someone nearby that could - and then charged her nearly a hundred dollars for their trouble. I guess that's what women have to deal with. An upfront and honest mechanic would have told her straight up that they are unable to do the work, and not go about dishonest tactics like this.

It's early in the morning and very cold and about 30-40 people standing in the line to get in. I can see the clerks inside since an hour ago, but they are not opening the doors to let the people in, and still treat their loyal clients like the cattle. It will be the last time I ever go there, although it would not be fair if I don't mention that they used to be amazing in service and friendliness, and I knew most of the Bill Gordon's family, but it's sad to see that after all these years they don't have a Take A Number system for the clients so people can at least wait in their cars instead of out in the cold, while waiting to be served.

We were in Montreal and had a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon .Had CAA come to put spare on. Tire was damaged beyond repair and were facing a 5 hour drive on the temporary spare to get home. Most repair shops were closed so on the recommendation of the caa guy we called Gordon’s Jennifer answered the phone and was friendly and very professional We arrived at their store 20 minutes before closing. They didn’t have a new tire in stock but had a good used one to get us home. They had us fixed up ready to go in no time Store was clean Staff was very friendly Highly recommend this business Huge shout out to Jennifer and the rest of staff for getting us fixed up and on our way home safely

Extremely satisfied with the service I received. I brought my car in to get an issue with my clutch fixed and they diagnosed the problem and ordered new parts quickly but when I went to pick up my car I noticed that the front bumper was smashed. I assume it was a snowplow that did a careless job judging by the scratches but the people at Gordon's were kind enough to replace the bumper with the matching colour. Very bad service, unskilled mechanic, 20 years old tire changer and balancing equipment. Went there to change a tire on BMW m-style wheel(500$ rim). Mechanic scratched the wheel trying to fix it on the changer machine from inside even tho it's supposed to be fixed form the side of the rim, moreover he did it twice as he could not put the tire on the rim the first time and he desided to change the changer machine. After I felt vibration on the steering wheel I went to chek ballancing of this wheel to a different place and need to do re-ballancing. After that vibration desapered. At Gordons even tho they have Hofmann(very good brand for changer and ballancing machine) equipment, it is very old and they do not know how to work on it. Any Canadian Tire will do better job. Dear sir. Your response are just general words about nothing. Don't you agree with me that the equipment in your store is very old? In that case I will ask your permission to pass by and take photos of the changing and balancing machine with the model # and to add these photos to my feedback. I am a person who is quite familiar with Hofmann equipment and their models, as well as know how to properly work on this equipment. Photo of scratches of my wheel I have already posted. Any person who knows how changing machines work will clearly understand that these are the marks of the changing machine. If you think that this is a sign of skilled and experienced mechanics, sorry but I can not agree with you.My goal was to give honest feedback to your service after my visit and I hope you can look closely at the quality of your service and equipment so your clients can have better experience than me. Popular spot because of their long history and the great service. Expect long lines for the walk in in periods of high demand but prices, quality and work ethics remain top notch. I was quoted a lower price on a new set of tires because of a typing mistake but once the issue came up at the time of settling the bill they made me whole without even flinching. I was highly recommended by a colleague to change tires at Gordons. I was very pleased with their service in the beginning. However, after I stored my tires with them for two seasons, they informed me that all my 8 tires were worn out and needed to be replaced. I only have 53000 km. All the tires were originally purchased from BMW brand new. I looked at the tires and they were really in bad shape. Thus, I asked them to scrap them and purchased new ones. But I keep asking myself how can it be possible that those Pirelli tires last only 26500 km (one set for each season). It doesn't make sense! The only thing I can think of is: don't ever store your tires. Something fishy is going on. Recently, I saw the exact model 4 summer tires on sale on kijiji which were supposed have been scrapped by Gordons.

They were recommended to me by a friend who deals with them all the time. I should have listened earlier. I've been to other garages and been given horrible service and quite the run-around.
