** CHOCKING EXPERIENCE FOR ME AND MY WIFE ** I went lately to this dealership to get my wife the Mini she dreamed of for so long, so I made a deposit on a car contingent on some conditions to buy it The salesman was someone by the name of Hugo MONPETIT that from the first interaction looked like bothered to make the deal, not looking to negotiate and even telling us that making a deposit means nothing because if he finds another buyer he will give it to them... After a couple of weeks, we couldn't finalize the term for this month and the purchase has to be postponed, so he started by claiming that accounting can't reached for the deposit reimbursement and to comeback another time, the week after, my wife called him, he took an impolite tone, interrupting her while she speak, contradicting her, declining any request and asking for documents from the SAAQ to release the deposit... (didn't knew cars salesmen can be auto-proclaimed policemen or court-judges) I called him, he didn't answer neither on his cell or work phone, so I called the Dealership Manager John that was professional in handling the situation Hugo called my wife on the pretext he needs the credit card number just to argue again about how he was impolite and that we're the worst customers he had in his life (the conscious incompetents always do that) Clearly he wasn't taught manners, professionalism and client service, hence the rating of 2 starts to this dealership until they educate this poor person to be polite and reach the BMW/Mini quality standards

My experience at Mini was great! Anthony, Catherine, and Violette worked with me, and were all extremely helpful, knowledgable. Anthony also always answered all my emails in timely fashion. As well, they were very thorough at delivery to explain all the features of the car. Although we had some minor issues at delivery, the team acted very fast to fix this and were very understanding. Most importantly, the Countryman SE all 4 is an awesome hybrid vehicle that I would recommend to anyone!

Kinda disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm toward an interested customer. To put in context I was very interested in a Mini Cooper John Cooper Works. So a day before going to Mont Royal , I went to see what Mini Brossard had to offer me (as we know we should always know our plan A, B & C). There for I had a monthly price option for a car that they ( Mini Brossard) had to bring over from Ontario. So to keep up with the experience. Went to Mini Mont Royal had a talk with Sells Person , he briefly explained me what the car has and how good it is. Went for a test drive for a car with the same specs as the one in Ontario except the colour. After that went inside to talk numbers. I explained them that the other dealership is ready to bring a car that I really liked from another Province and the price they give me. That’s when the experience just went down. I was ready to listen what they had to say and was ready to do a compromise and go with the car they already had in the lot and sign the deal the same day. But unfortunately what I had is a lack of effort to even try come up to a price or show me how much I’d be paying. And simply told well there’s nothing we can do go sign there. The monthly price difference was a good 100$. So all that to say (not to be bad or anything ) Mini Brossard has a better pricing and they are also ready to work and try to come to a reasonable price.

The sales staff were awesome (ask for Sati) I was given an excellent trade-in price for my junker and they set me up with the sweetest ride I've ever had. I've owned a BMW before and have had it serviced at the same location, owning a MINI and going there is a whole different experience. You're part of the family and you're treated like a person. They even treat your car like a person and when it comes out of the repair shop(because you've been driving like and idiot) it looks brand new and polished every time. In short: a very disappointing experience. When I came to Canbec, I admit I had some expectations of what kind of service I was hoping for. I had dealt with their service department in the past, and I loved the experience so much that I drove by two other BMW and Mini Cooper dealerships to visit them. But unfortunately, they failed to meet even basic expectations. Regardless of the fact that I had booked an appointment with them to test drive a very specific pre-owned car they had, nothing was prepared (not even a sales representative assigned). They first assigned me a rep who turned out to be exclusive to new cars, I was then snubbed by the second salesman who interrupted me after 30 seconds only to tell me that he may not be the best person to help me, and finally got assigned Fay who was really nice and clear yet had no idea what I was in for so had nothing lined up to offer. It took 25 mins to get the car out of the lot, and after the test drive I decided to go for a Mini Cooper instead. Fay then referred me to Hugo and explained to him what I was looking for. Had a good experience with him, found a nice car and when came the time to discuss the price, the negotiation went down between me, the sales rep and a sales manager that I never met. I was quoted a price for two cars I was interested in, and when I asked for a printed copy of the offer I was told that it’s not something they do so I took notes and promised an answer within 24h. I called the next day, spoke to Hugo, put a deposit on one of them (that I had not seen yet as it was gonna be delivered that night) and booked an appointment to stop by and see the car that night. I was informed by Hugo that he will not be there, but that another rep will have the file on hand and can answer all my questions. I went in, decided what car I wanted and was given a price that was 2000$ higher than the day before. I spent more than an hour there insisting that the price the day before was different, and I even told them the exact reason why it was different (based on the negotiations from the day before). The second sales rep discussed this again and again with his sales manager (who I’m told is the same from the day before), was even able to reach the first rep who did not remember the deal from the day before and eventually the final price was still a 1000$ more. I should have left, but I liked the car and knew that there was no other like it in the market so I caved and took it. Papers were signed the same day with the delivery appointment set for Friday. I came Friday to pick up the car, signed all the necessary documents, reviewed all the features of the car with them, and left to work. I was called, emailed and texted frantically two hours later asking me to call them back urgently. When I did, I’m informed that there’s an error in the contract and that they installed the wrong license plate and asked me to come back ASAP. I couldn’t, not only because I had work, but also because the car had the wrong license plate on it and was a risk. Thankfully, they sent someone to take care of the papers and the license plate during my lunch hour. Next time I’m shopping for a mini or a bmw, Canbec will be the last place I visit. Not the experience I was expecting from a dealership this big, and definitely not the premium service I was hoping for.

Absolute worst service ever! 3 years ago, I leased a pre-owned "certified" countryman and I had nothing but problems since day one. During the first year alone, the car needed to get serviced 5 times for water pump leaks, spark plugs, coils, etc. There were other problems throughout the last 2 years but the cherry on top is today, 3 years later, 3 months before my lease ends, my car needs to be serviced for a total of $650! I have been in contact with both the service and sales department for the last week to get some kind of deal worked out (the hourly labour rate is completely ridiculous). The service department has been directing me to the sales department and viceversa and basically no one can help me. Instead, they are trying to force me into a new lease!! Now finally the service department called me to offer me a 10% discount which is a complete joke. In the past I have dealt with Kia, Honda, Mercedes and Audi and I have NEVER received such unacceptable service.

By far the worst dealer (aka Stealer) of any manufacturer of vehicles out there. My BMW was serviced with jobber parts on there BMW side of the service center, and I was charged full BMW cost for non OEM parts. Service denied everything after brakes failed within 500km. Tried to get my Mini serviced their last week, was told no, then yes (when Mini Canada had to step in and inquire as to why not), and then no again when booking my warranty service. Shut The Front Door Mini Mont-Royal, you don't need your customers apparently, perhaps THAT is why nobody buys there Mini's from you and that BMW west island (owned by BMW Canada) is taking away your dealership.

They quoted me 3.5 hours labour for the same job Mini Brossard quoted me 2 hours to do. The only reason I got it done was because Mini Brossaed had no availability that day. To top it off, when I got the bill, they had charged me $80 more for the same part! Good thing I had the printed quote from Mini Brossard. The sad thing is, both dealerships are owned by the same company, so there should be no discrepancy. I would not recommend this place, nor will I ever go back. Beware of shady tactics!

Abysmal doesn’t even begin to describe this dealership. Brought in an end of lease bmw to trade for a new mini a month ago, and here’s what they’ve managed to screw up in 4 weeks: the bmw is still not noted as being paid off by mini, and is STILL UNDER MY NAME even though I haven’t owned it in over a month. When I took possession of the mini, they gave me the wrong spare key, and said the batteries were probably dead. No, your sales guy gave me the wrong key. When I went to have the key reset (again, they insisted it was a key problem), Ramy said “I can’t just reset it like that, it takes time!”. A mechanic walked by and asked him if he cross referenced the VIN numbers to make sure it was the right key, and Ramy rolled his eyes and said “it’s not that”. It was. They gave me someone else’s key. Unreal. Waited over 2.5 hours for a tire change. Was told the car was in the wash, and an hour later was told “it’s really in the wash now, haha”. Ramy in the service dept is incredibly arrogant, and inept. A set of tires were supposed to be ready “as of” a certain time, I arrived shortly after that, I ended up waiting an hour and a half because “the guys who get the tires were on lunch”. He loves to pass the buck, and nothing is ever his fault. Same with John, the manager. Avoid this joke at all costs. Taking the bus is a better option than buying from them. The only redeeming quality: their mechanics are really down to earth, nice guys. Note the proliferation of 5 star reviews lately....interesting. Rather than fix the problem, they try to gloss it over. Caveat emptor.

Most reviews you read are from people still in the 'honeymoon' stage of a new car...meaning they just picked up their brand new Mini and the dealer even asked them specifically to put up a review and voila the one or two liners that are useless ..'awesome, great service etc' Be nice to read a review from a long time client/customer. Here is one: I have owned 3 Minis over about 11 years, A Copper S, a John Cooper Works and a Mini Countryman S. Aside from the Dealer which I will get to in a sec, Mini used to offer many features standard but over the years charge extra for almost anything, furthermore the options add at up very quickly in costs $$$$ The "Starting at..." you see in Ads is just to get you in the door. In addition, Minis value wise over the years have plummeted. Minis themselves are plagued with problems, these vehicles simply are not built to last and I know so many people inside that will tell you " Four years and they are finished " I could list the issues I had in the cars in the first second and third years ,but this review would never end. Go to Consumer Reports or a reputable rating reviewer and Minis rank very low for reliability...check for yourself, don't shoot the messenger ! Mini spends more money on branding and marketing than actually improving their vehicles. Standard safety features at Toyota for instance , Mini charges an arm and a leg. So if you are a first time buyer beware, you have been warned . For the dealership itself Mini/BMW : The word 'deal' is not in their vocabulary , not kidding. They simply soak every penny out of you they can in Sales and the only deals are usually Factory incentive not from the local dealership. They will bend over backwards for you if they know they are getting the most they can out of you otherwise they don't bother with you. I would never had gotten a 3rd Mini but I was going through a divorce and needed a safer car for my son and got baited. My Countryman was ending its lease, first and last lease I will ever do, regardless I made it very clear to John the Sales Manager I wanted Cost plus minimal on a new Mini, would have been my 4th.. He never, in 6 months got back to me once , no calls , did not bother returning emails or my messages!! One of the Salesman told me off the record to not bother, they don't deal, just soak customers because most of their clientele don't buy they lease and through a company so they are not motivated to offer any deals to the buyer because the buyers are not directly paying. Dealing with John ,the Mini Sales Manager, on returning my Countryman early, I set up an appointment for an appraisal , confirmed the day before, showed up at the dealership and he never showed up. The secretary called him and told him I was waiting, never showed up. I left him a written note , never heard from him ...zero , and he is the sales manager so that tells you a lot. Simply horrendous. Good things I have to say: there are some to be fair. Service at BMW Canbec is notoriously terrible, simply read for yourself but at Mini I would say it was average to good. The mechanics do good work and I had no issues dealing with anyone in service and I was there often !! Having said this, I own a Ford Mustang GT and Lasalle Ford Service is comparable ...so more industry standards are met than anything, but not below average . Returning the vehicle on my lease, Michael on the BMW side who handles all returns of Minis and BMWs included, actually returned calls unlike Mini, he was professional and thorough so kudos to that employee. Mini Mont Royal ...ahhhh walk away, actually run...to either Laval or South Shore if you are set on a Mini....the other dealers respectively. Mini Laval I dealt with and preferred them but it was simply to far to drive up for the service always required, but Mini Laval was always cheaper and quicker. Mini Mont Royal is just shady and like Sales overcharge usually unless you are very on top things as I was. What did I end up buying ? Like the majority of previous owners , a GTI like everyone else lol !!

I brought my mini as there was a triangle warning with an ! showing in my dash. They did not know what is it for. I agreed to run diagnostics and they told me that there is a leak somewhere,l that can fry my computer so had the electrovan replaced, sway bar bushing replaced, the alrernator belt needs to be replaced and there is a lamp that is busted. So these were all replaced. When i got it, i put it straight to my covered parking few meters away from the center and because i trusted them, didnt really checked everything (this is my fault) then when i used it during the night, my fog light arent working, one license light is still not working. the fog light was were working when i brought the car to the center. Weird because they said they checked it all ???? so i returned the next day, they were able to fix the fog light but the license light isnt still working they said its busted, well i thought that was the one that was replaced, because one was working before.
