After having botched my attempt at installing my own rotors and brake pads and inadvertently having drained my brake lines, I limped in to Midas Richmond, sans brakes,. I had called Mr. York Fung up ahead of time, so he was expecting me. To install front and rear rotors and brake pads and for a brake flush he quoted me $504, which he explained with a straight face, encompassed 3 hours of labour. I am no mechanic ( obviously) but I know it does not take a well equipped shop 3 hrs to do this work. Anyway we got into a heated debate and to cut a long story short Mr, Fung refused to do any work on my car and sent me on my way without the use of my brakes. Fortunately Budget auto services is less than a KM away. Was meant with a friendly hello ( this was now 2.15 pm on a Saturday BTW) and sue we can do the work for you...including the brake flush. I was out of there with all the work having been done at 3.30 pm. and the total for all the work was $324. I am most disappointed that a reputable company such as Midas, can see fit to appoint a dubious character like Mr. Fung as a franchisee. His card states "manager" but I assume he is the franchisee. There are far better options in Richmond for your auto work-take your car to a place where honest people work and get the service we as consumers deserve. I feel so strongly about this issue I am going to take it up with Midas Canada as well as write an article to the Richmond Review, outlining my experience here. STAY FAR AWAY.

I am absolutely finished with midas, I always come away feeling cheated, like I have been pressured, I have another more honest and reliable mechanic without all the arm twisting. Stay away. this is absolutely the worst place to take your car, they never listen to the customer and always overcharge In addition after being harassed by calling my cellphone, and leaving a very angry voicemail, I standby the above. I recently visited my honest mechanic ( who is in Richmond) some minor issues Including a brake service and he did not charge me a penny.would be glad to pass him along to anyone who is interested.

York at the front desk is a friendly guy very straight forward. The shop did a great job installing an aftermarket performance muffler on my BMW. The only downside is the popularity of the shop as the wait was a bit long but understandable with the amount of customers coming in and out. Would recommend.

The staff were great and I appreciated the thoroughness of the services provided. I dropped my car off and had a leisurely hour to kill at the nearby mall before returning to see that everything I needed had been completed. I appreciated that there was already an invoice ready to go when I arrived which told me exactly how much they would charge me and confirmed that they were doing the things I'd asked for on the phone. I also really appreciated that there wasn't any upselling - having taken my car to many places in the 'quick lube' category of shops, it was refreshing to feel like I didn't have to defend my decisions as a car-owner.

I had 2000$ work done here with a new catalytic converter and 2 oxygen sensors. It kept having problems and I returned twice to address the issue. All they kept saying to me was they replaced it with a universal converter and can’t do anything about it. What about warranty or guarantee on workmanship!? Beyond rude service.

Took my electric Scooter in for a tire repair. Had a screw in the front tire and it would not hold air for very long. I phoned 3 other Tire Shops and they said they couldn't help. Midas had the tire fixed and plugged in about 5 minutes. Great Service!

Wasn't busy on a Monday morning, my vehicle was served within 30 minutes for an oil change. Price was reasonable as well. Would recommend if you need a quick oil change on a weekday morning (Saturday is presumably busier).

So unprofessional and unhelpful. We had winter tires stored there, and my husband called about picking them up, and the old man just said that he doubts they’re even on site anymore as the previous owners probably “took” them when they left. (Excuse me?) Didn’t even bother to look for them. So I found the receipt with proof they were stored there, and my husband went in person, and that same old man refused to go find them! He said, “they’re not here!” So my husband went and asked a younger guy for help, and he happily went and found them. When I went to pick them up, the old man half heartedly pointed in the direction where the tires were sitting, and I had to go and find them myself. (For the record, he pointed at a wall of tires, meanwhile mine were on the opposite side of the effing wall, outside.) Want to guess whether he helped me load them into my car? This place is garbage since it changed owners. I would NOT recommend it to anyone. Worst Midas I’ve ever done business with, by far.

We live south of Richmond and for good reasons, we go to Vancouver! Read the bad reviews for this Midas and still went ‘cause I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Boy, was I wrong! The owner was really nice at first, but that changed after I got my assessment. He’s really pushy with the premium products and tries to squeeze all the work done in the same day no matter how busy it is. I had no problem coming back another day, but they insisted. Anyway.. I paid him partial cash like $1200 and he put it all in his pocket! Umm.. *cricket sounds.* Maybe he don’t trust his workers or the cash register. Owner or not, that’s REALLY sketchy and unprofessional. Like where do you think we live?! The Ghetto?? Lol. It’s Richmond, yo! ????????‍♀️ Pros Free coffee (I don’t drink coffee. Lol.) CONS Lack of Trust and Professionalism. Business comes first THEN customer needs come second. (Even when you mention your concern.) Thanks but no thanks! ✌???? Save your response for someone else. I received excellent customer service from this location. The assistant Manager Walker was very polite and Justin the technician took his time and made sure that the job was done correctly. York the manager gave me a good deal for the work that my car needed (A/C and Fix inoperative sunroof). I highly recommend this shop. You will receive the best deals and the best technicians will service your vehicle. Plus their location is conveniently close to many amenities (superstore, Lansdowne mall etc.)

I can't comment on the quality of the work performed at this particular Midas. Because they never got ahold of me. Midas has an online appointment request system, in which you can enter your information and request that a customer service agent get back to you, to help you set up an appointment. The success of these services, obviously, is dependent on how well they work. No one got ahold of me, so I took--and will continue to take--my business elsewhere.

I have a 30 years old Toyota Camry, and I thought I should get an oil change and regular inspection so I came here and wanted to know more about my car, have been here 3 times by the way. First time (Sept 2016), oil change and inspection, they found out that my car had several major problems such as transmission or some other things that costed me over $2000 to get it fixed; second time (Nov 2016), just when I thought that there wouldn't be any problems, my car died at the parking lot, so, I towed it to here and wondered why it happened, they told me that my battery died, it costed me over $900 to get it fixed; the last time (Feb 2017), I wanted to get snow tires because it was still snowing and I knew it wouldn't be stopped until march, they found out that my alignment had a little problem, so again, it costed me another $900. I have spent so much time, energy, and money on this car and I thought there wouldn't be any major problems and guess what, I visited another car repair shop nearby and they told me that there's oil leaking on my front wheel and it's happened for years. I also brought the recipes to another place and they told me the repair was definitely overpriced. So here are my questions: Couldn't you see the leaking after I brought my car here to get the snow tires? Secondly, I've spent over $2000 at the first time and yet my car died 2 months after, I know you can't guarantee that this car would run forever since it still has so many problems, but didn't you see it coming? What's the inspection doing then if you couldn't see the coming problem? Charging starving student for nothing? You changed everything in my car except for the starter but my car is 30 years old, which makes my car is more thirsty because you changed 4 cylinders to 6? To be honest, I have no ideas how cars work and I trust those technicians because they are experienced. York is a friendly guy (so I'll give 2 stars) but this place is kind of ripping off those who don't know anything about cars. I also lost some coins(approx. $30 after the third time). I know I shouldn't have put money in the car but I guess I just trusted them too much. This car is a gift from my grandpa who passed away last year and I wanted cherish it as much as possible so I wouldn't mind spending thousands to get it fixed, but one thing I can't stand is being an idiot getting ripped off by them. My only advice is don't ever come here if you don't know how cars work.

As always, this location is just great. Even if it's part if a chain, it's really a family business I've been going to for over 20 years after being happy with another Midas location in Toronto for a decade before that. Now run by the two sons of the original owner I knew when the current ones were just kids or teens. They greet me by name even if I only go mostly for seasonal tire change twice a year and yes they sometimes find other stuff to fix but they explain all the options, show exactly what has to be done right under the car and offer timelines for urgency or lack thereof and in the past when a car was older, have provided creative custom options to keep costs down inline with the life expectancy of the vehicle. I really like the fact that I can just show up and get things done or schedule something for later. They appear honest and thrustworthy since they are in for the long haul and it appears to pay off in customer loyalty.

Been going here ever since my mechanic retired who was a friend of the family. So far I have been satisfied with the service. I really enjoy working with the weekend manager he is much more pleasant to deal with then the other two guys who run the shop during the week, they can be very cold, but that's just a feeling I get. I bought new shocks for my car, a hefty expense, and they come with a warranty of 5 yrs or more and the top plate broke within a month and they had the balls to charge me for the installation... they should kick that back to the supplier as it is not my fault not theirs that we had faulty equipment. They shouldn't lose money but neither should I. It's a first come first serve garage, I normally go early and repairs are done quickly.

Where can I start? Well as a woman let me tell you.. they will give you the worst service and take advantage of you. PLEASE STAT AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Ever since I took my car here they just ruin it. A few weeks after getting new brakes (well supposed to get “NEW” ones) I had to go immediately back to them after my breaks didn’t work. I almost smashed into another car, I asked them to do it for free because it wasn’t fair but they again fixed that but now everything sounds in my car. I took it to the Honda shop as I have a civic and guess what now they don’t want to do anything to my car because they said looks like the parts I got from Midas we’re not good quality so they don’t want to take a risk and fix it. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER DONT EVER GO HERE.

I had a serpentine belt that was asking for attention during the cold weather, and before I went on a road trip to the mountains - it was prudent to get it repaired. I was in the Richmond area and called a couple local places and when York answered the phone he was able to shuffle some of the day's work to take my SUV in for an immediate assessment of the situation, called for prices on parts and provided me with a quote - with the willingness to finish the job and get me back in the road by mid afternoon. York brought to my attention a few other items about my vehicle that could use some attention, one of which I added to the work of replacing the belt tensioner & belt ... and the others weren't critical - so I will save them for another day. While sitting in the waiting area for a few hours and I witnessed his professional interactions with customers and mechanic staff alike and got a sense that this repair shop had a good reputation for being reliable with the repeat clients, the quotes provided, and the general demeanour of customers paying their bills and driving off happy. I would call on them again, if I need anything else repair or diagnosed. A pleasure to deal with.

Old school mechanics. Honest. They really helped me out. First time I went here they replaced a bulb for me, free. Assistant told me just come back to them if there's anything next time. I sure did. There was a leak under my car so they oversized the hole on my pan and replaced the drain plug instead of replacing the whole oil pan: this saved me a lot of money. Finally I have a chance to share my experience with everyone if who want to bring your car to service at Midas. As from their website “ expert brake repair, scheduled car maintenance, exhaust repair, new tires, oil change, steering repair, suspension systems repair, wheel alignment, and more.” guess what! My car just a brake job but end up I have to gave up my car. Here is my story; I took my car to Midas Richmond for a brake job. After done I drove it from Richmond back home where my house in Burnaby. As soon arrived home I have to rushed opened door cause my car smoked look like almost into flame. Smell badly of the rubber burned. All my neighbor out see if anything they can help! So of course I have to called Midas Richmond to let them know what happened. Then they said it properly just need an adjust. I said the car still smoke out from underneath and unsafe to drive. So they said wait for half an hour then drive to the closer my house whereas Burnaby then someone can have a look to fix it. I have waited for half an hour then careful see if I can drive! But at that point the car seized up. I gave them a callEd again to tell them my car cannot drive anymore. They not even offered a tow truck for me as I am the one have to called ICBC tow service to get my car to the nearest Midas to fix. Not Yet finished as when the Burnaby Midas looked into it and they could not open the part or take it out either! They said the Richmond had it in wrong side. So took them quite long to get it out and ordered a new one to replaced it. A small brake job become a big job while this is the only car in my family. We don’t have car to go to work during pandemic. We have to relied on public transit. Another week gone by and part came . I got my car to Burnaby location fixed again. After took the car back Just same afternoon only few hours ; the car start grinding on the back brake again!!! Then I called the Burnaby and told them that it cannot drove again. They said bring back on Monday , I said I am working can’t bring it on Monday but can bring in Saturday . They said okay Saturday. But since from June 27 until now none of them call me back either say how is your car or concern or wonder how is the car situation ! Since then my wife and I have to used public transit instead cause this is the only car for both of us. As for customer satisfaction Midas should contact me instead now I have this feedback for them!

Went for oil change and check up. I specifically mentioned to check battery (Yes, it's on the paperwork.) Report said battery was fine. Battery went off 3 days after, and completely died in a week. Would not admit they made a mistake, and still trying to sell me an overpriced battery change. What's the point of having a report if it's not even good for 3 days?

I have used this location a few times before without any issues and have had excellent service until my last visit unfortunately. I brought the household vehicle to get a switch from winter to summer tires and a wheel alignment on june 18 2020. I was first surprised when they insisted on me driving the vehicle up the alignment machine even though i signified to them the on top of being a very recent driver, this was not a vehicle i was used to driving very often. Oh well, it was slow but i managed. I had my 4 tires on rims in the back of my car, which had been very carefully loaded by me and my partner the day before after we had washed the car. When i returned, they told me it was done and only had one tire left to load in the car, they informed me i would have to back off the alignment machine as well, which again i found weird. When i got home, my partner went to open the trunk and immediately noticed a very evident chip in the paint on the back bumper with black marking. The black marking/ dirt came off revealing the gap in the paint. Now as i said we had cleaned the car the day before and this is a second hand vehicle we examined quite extensively before purchasing. We know with absolute 100% certainty that this gap in the paint was not there June 17th. Additionally, we take extra care to not mark that area by having a white sheet that can be unfolded to cover the area when we load and unload items. Additionally, the tires were not wrapped in bags like they usually had been in the past when i had gone to this location or other garages. I called the next day and brought back the car to voice my discontent and show them in person what i thought was negligence and i was met with a very closed minded attitude of denial which can be summarized as basically; we do this on cars that are worth way more than yours for years and we have never ever ever damaged a bumper, it was probably like that before you brought it, our employees are capable and they wouldn't have trouble lifting a tire, a tire could not possibly make a chip like this because its rubber... he then proceeded to say that anyways, the tires were wrapped in bags when loaded and couldn't have come in contact with the car. As you can clearly see in the picture in the garage entryway, there is no plastic on the tires, which i showed to him. I then asked what he could do for me to fix it or patch it, he said they weren't a body shop and to just go to the Mazda dealership and get a correction pen for scratches by matching it to the color code inside my door. Needless to say, i'm less than impressed with their ability to deal with customer's grievances when what was obviously a small accident happens. When i entrust my, or any vehicle to a business, i expect it to be cared with the utmost attention. That things happen sometimes is understandable, but to not take accountability for it and jump straight to deniability in 5 different ways is really off putting. At no point did they even consider that they might be in the wrong or offer to fix it in any way. I had until this incident no qualms with their services but i sadly no longer feel i can entrust a vehicle to them with peace of mind. TLDR: Went in for a routine thing, came out with a scuff mark in my paint.

Horrible experience. Read on: Brought my car in for routine changing of winter to summer tires. Job was done and was problem free...well...sort of. First, seems the air caps for two tires were broken as in they had no caps. Basically just hollow threaded rings. Midas staff were careful to remove them to put air in the tire, then put the five cent broken part BACK ON THE CAR! WTF, c'mon, this is basic quality at the lowest level. Second point of order, within a week a ball joint went in my car. The mechanic that repaired it said midas should have picked up on this while changing my tires. Third point of order, the midas attendant working the front desk moved my car from the Midas parking lot into the bay. Somewhere in that distance of 30m, the front of my car came into contact with something white, causing a scuff that chipped the paint. Perhaps the white van it was parked next to. Nevertheless, a $1000 body job appeared out of thin air. The midas attendant dodged responsibility saying not his problem, didn't happen INSIDE the garage. Outstanding customer service! Now on to the complaint about Midas Corporate Consumer Relations. I complained to corporate headquarters about what happened, remaining fair and keeping my cool in the correspondence. Not only did they dodge me for a few weeks with correspondence, they sided with the shop that caused the damage, dodging any responsibility. They also claimed that the franchise owner contacted me but I did not return the calls. This did not happen. No one from Midas called me. Again outstanding customer service at the corporate level. What happened to customer service? I mean this is the classic case that no mechanic wants to get caught in, I understand that. But to dodge any responsibility and ignore me. This is crap. They didn't even try to buy their way out of the problem offering a free oil change / and or refund. They just shrugged their shoulders mumbling 'oh well'.. Moral of the story is, Midas attendants at this location can't drive and don't have an eye for quality or a care for customer service. However, they seem to be competent at doing the work; but again don't expect above and beyond quality (Think tire caps). Also, you can't depend on their corporate services to help you if a problem occurs. I thought by going to a national brand I would avoid issues like this. This makes me weary of going to midas ever again, which is a shame because there are probably some Midas' that strive to be the best. If I can't count on the corporate level, how can I find comfort at the local level? It would be nice to have written a better review about Midas, but for now this problem is unresolved, so this review is what happens to unresolved issues.

DO NOT COME HERE!! I brought my car in to replace my fused headlight for my Infiniti, Shawn told me that they replaced the xenon bulb yet the headlight still would not work because the issue was that my socket had fused. I asked Shawn to quote me for the socket and he told me that the part itself would be $700 not including the labour so I declined the service. I brought my car into another shop and they were able to get the headlights to work and in fact the socket was NOT fused so what really happened was the technician at Midas just didn't know how to properly install the bulb thats why it wouldn't work. Extremely disappointing because they tried to sell me a $700 socket for nothing. Another issue that happened was Shawn told me that my tie rod end inner and outer were loose but he re-assured me that it would not be a safety issue but as weeks went by my car started making noises and I felt unsafe driving so I took my car to another shop for a diagnostic to find out not only were my tie end rods inner and outer were no good but my wheel bearings were very loose which DOES make my car dangerous to drive. I would not recommend anyone to visit this shop.

Good oil change but they up-sell you unnecessary services. They're pretty much con artists and the mechanic asked me if I wanted "winter or summer air" in my tires and I played along. My lug nuts were also torqued to the point where I couldn't even get them off with a breaker bar. They're just trying to meet their quota at the cost of their customers ignorance. Steer away.

I knew my brakes had to be taken care of for some time . The Paradis Brothers do a great job running this place like their father before them. 3 summers ago I passed by for a breaks evaluation which included some lifetime warranty Parts. I also went to a very well-known highly reputable place and they were useless slow backwards and unclear about almost anything other than the price which was much higher. So when the brake light came on and I heard some real bad sounds on my front end discs I resolved to go in there right away and they took me right away. Since I came late in the day they started the job to look at the brakes put the car on the list and made the brakes and completely accessible and visible and one of the Paradis Brothers called me over to see the condition on my brakes. - it was good to be called into the garage and be allowed in the garage to see what was actually going on. you said leave the car and come back in the morning they would call me but I needed the car so unbelievably they gave me a loaner car. And not a total junkheap either but a reasonable car. they called me at 10:10 in the morning say my car was ready but I wasn't ready for another couple of hours myself. I asked for some discounts because it was a lot of money to drop first pads and brakes and calipers and discs and the whole works even if it was a decent enough price for the whole works. I said senior discounts you said no I said handicaps he said no, after all they are a franchise and have limitations of what the franchise lets them do. But then he said wait there is a coupon on the internet and it was $30 off plus of course the taxes on that $30 so pretty damn Fair. I picked up my car after the noon hour and I had to be west of Montreal as far as Vaudreiil dorion. And I had both highway driving and city streets driving. I was warned to take it easy on the brakes for the first 500 km to wear them in nicely but I'm never hard on the brakes anyhow cuz I shift including downshifting and when necessary I will slam on the brakes and let the ABS kick in if it's an emergency but usually never the case. The brakes felt good in fact they felt very good. Certainly a big improvement over completely ruined brakes and totally worn out brakes. and the brake light wasn't coming on anymore was for the past few days. Everything seems right. They took me in quickly and took care of my car quickly. They gave me a loaner car without charge. they were very helpful and quite friendly and showed me my brakes. I am pleased with the service and I'm pleased with the treatment. There waiting room is exceptionally clean. And they offer free coffee. There's 6 Bay garage is an ongoing concern with everybody in the garage working hard. They used to be known as Midas Muffler but since they do other things there's simply called Midas and there a franchise. However the brothers Paradise run the place and do a great job and their dad ran it before them. Compare to the prices I would pay at a dealership I not only get better prices I get a better warranty on the pads. Although they told me that everybody only guarantees the discs for one year I did not know this. They know their stuff! If I compared there oil change fights against Costco for synthetic they're more expensive but they are far less expensive from car dealers and a bit less expensive from other garages. I posted a ton of pictures and you can see how clean the place is and even when the garages are full it's exceptionally reasonable in cleanliness. I watched people pay for their service and say thank you for the work that was done. - so nice to see. Great manners great business and good work with very reasonable prices and people are taking in to do the work on their vehicle right away or as soon as the next day is available. I was completely pleased with my transaction and recommend people go here for their brakes.

Been coming here for a few years only because it was close to my house, but I have to say that I'm sick and tired of feeling like I am being scammed and cheated by these mechanics. Manager tried to get me to replace my breaks when they were not even broken. Luckily, I went to Canadian Tire for a second opinion, and turned out that it still had 50% left. Manager tries to use big fancy words to confuse the customer in order to upsell products that you don't need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST COMING HERE. Beware.

I went to this location for their oil change and tire rotation special. When I went to pick up my vehicle I noticed that the tires had not been rotated. The Manager’s explanation was that they only rotate the tires “when needed”. He then got his crew to rotate the tires while I waited. In my opinion not fulfilling a service that you’ve paid for is borderline fraud. I will not be returning to Midas.

I do oil change and filter replace couple times there, but they charged me differently every-time. Only oil change, no more. Why???????? Same car. And the coupon downloaded on the web is useless, they will do some tricky calculation on the bill and you will not save any money in fact. But the coupon brought you there already.

My first time and last time doing business there. It seems like a reputable garage with many stores. Went for a wheel alignment and expected just a wheel alignment. However, they told me I have a defective tire rod and can't continue the alignment unless I change the tire rod and ended up costing more than what I expected. That tire rod was changed recently too. I understand the province seems to be easing on the measure of sanitation. But there should be some health sanition as no mechanics were wearing any masks and one mechanic continuously cough and at close range . For the price I paid, I expected more. Didn't have a great experience with the price I paid.

Left bolts loose after completing job on water pump. Brought my truck back cause it was leaking after 5 days only to have them say it was another bad part and would cost another 530.00. Took truck to a different mechanic whom tightened the bolts on the water pump and no more leak. Nice try Midas, I should get half the fee for labour back for only doing half the job!

I came to Midas a couple months ago as my brakes and roters needed service. Over the phone I was quoted an extremely low price (to get me in the store) then to my surprise, I was told by Midas that all roters and break pads needed replacing. I insisted that I take my business elsewhere, and they began to quote me a lower cost, which should have been offered in the begining. I asked several times for them to give me back my car but they first wanted to convince me to have my car serviced there and began to justify why they only offered me the more expensive cost. As it turns out, only my front roters needed to be replaced, not all like Midas had said. And as you can imagine, it cost me less than half of what Midas offered to me to get this fixed at a different shop.

Came here for an oil change and filter without an appointment and was in and out within half an hour. This is a first come first serve place but if you call before going, they'll give you a rough estimate of the wait time. They also changed out a filter after removing and showing it to me (it was almost pure black). Prices are really fair and they have free inspections (which I think they perform without you asking for it) The mechanics love cars and are very knowledgeable in their craft All in all, they made a really great first impression on me and I will specifically come back to this specific Midas branch for my next maintenance

I have used this location a few times, on December 29th, 2020 I came in and they told me I needed my front brakes, rotors and calipers done. I did these as told, expecting they know what they are talking about and recommending. Fast forward to the past couple weeks my car has been acting up and struggling with braking and I didn't feel comfortable. I didn't feel great about Midas' visit the last time and the vibe I got from the person running it. I took it into another trusted car shop with higher reviews, and low and behold I have worn down my front rotors in TEN MONTHS. He was absolutely shocked as my car had only put on 10,000 km!!!! He asked where i drove and if I ride my brakes (which I do not). It turns out after looking at my bill from Midas that they didn't put on new brake pads, he said if they had been 50% or below he would have changed them regardless to not do this to the customer and there is no way in the world my rotors should need changing again!!!! I am SO MAD and disappointed by Midas in Richmond, BC. I cannot express it enough, I got completely ripped off and wasn't cared about. The guys running it a few years back were so much better. I cannot say one good thing about this place now. They are terrible at communicating what is happening, even when I got my brakes done, I had to call like 6 hours later to see when it would be done, and they had it sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours before that. DO NOT GO HERE! I don't know a ton about cars, but I am willing to learn and keep all my receipts and read reviews and I know I got ripped off. ON top of that this new places rotors cost me almost NINETY DOLLARS LESS.

There a couple of things not related to the mechanical work, however I feel like I need to mention them as they are bothersome. First of all, my glove compartment was messy as if someone was looking for something. Second, the car was extremely dirty on the outside, like it was driven very fast on dirt and water. Also, the carpeting and mat on the driver's side were full of black scuff marks, probably grease. As I finished writing this I stepped outside and checked on a small repair on the plastic lining in front of the driver side rear tire, that I was told was done and it WAS NOT. This is extremely disappointing, to be told that something is done when it wasn't.

Terrible garage, overpriced and incompetent mechanics. Had the suspension on my van replaced and they put the shocks on backwards. Had to go back twice before they actually adjusted and installed the shocks properly. They did an allignement after the suspension job, but now a year later I figure out they didn't actually allign the car and all my tires warped. Avoid this garage at all cost.

I had gone there for an oil change in 2016 and guy behind desk told me a bunch of issues about my car. He said those issues need to be taken care of for long term maintenance of your car, etc. What he was referring to was the mechanics findings indicated on Midas form. The way he explained it i saw a combination of a money grab with trying to up sell me unnecessary service on my car. I usually go to Brian's Auto in Tsawassen but thought to give Midas a try because they're close to my home. What I like about Brian's is they only tell you what you really need to know. No manipulation or up selling.

I went to midas to get my tire fixed. My tire had a nail in it. The mechanics told me they couldn't patch up my tire because the nail was in the sidewall. I took their word for it. They then, without asking me, took off my tire and assumed I would be purchasing all brand new four tires. They were extremely pushy, to the point that I did not trust what they were telling me was the truth. They also charged me a service fee to put on my spare tire, only to refund me when I called and complained. I took my car to country tire in surrey and the mechanics not only fixed my tire, but also told me the nail is not in the sidewall at all. Bottom line: Don't go to this location. They're a bunch of crooks.

Service was excellent, I spoke to York on a Friday afternoon about a wheel alignment for my 2008 Ford F350. He booked me in for Monday morning. at 11:00 am. When I arrived at 10:45, York was busy with a customer, Justin came in right away from the shop, asked me if he could help me, I explained to him that I had an appointment at 11:00. Great and reliable and I'm a regular customer. It's a first come first serve in this branch. Some of their other branches are by appointment. Once they get to your car, they tend to be fast and efficient. I gave the place 4 stars only due to an incident I had with them. They repaired an air leak in the same tire twice and assured me it's fine -twice- when it wasn't . I found out the hard way when i was traveling and had to find a garage to replace the tire. Mistakes happen but there was no apology and I was charged again to repair it the 2nd time a day later. I mentioned it to the front desk at a later visit but he just pretended he didn't hear me, lol. I think it's a one off thing, to be fair. Otherwise, they are reliable but a bit pricier than the competition.

Not only did they try to charge us an arm and a leg for a new muffler, they also were super irresponsible and left one of my tires loose. We are from out of town and they were aware that we were driving a lot, this could have been dangerous. The next shop we went to showed us how loose the tire was, we are lucky it didn’t pop off when we were driving. Very disappointed with how everything was handled. Will never return.

During peak season they accommodated me for oil change where canadiantire refused me once they brought me to their store. In addition the oil change and prices of other services are 30% cheaper or so compared to canadiantire. Also I just had to wait for an hour at midas whereas i had to leave my car for a day at canadiantire

Went there once for an Oil change, they found extra work; random filters that need to be changed, potential leak (not true). Ended up paying 150% more than what I came in for. Cant be trusted. I got my brake pads and rotors replaced here and one technician left the caliper untightened and it fell off on my long distance drive. I would've preferred to not drive the Coquihalla within only 3/4 brakes functional. Midas reimbursed me for the services to get it repaired, but there is no reimbursement for safety.
