Excellent service by very qualified mechanics. They won't try to up-sell you stuff you don't need. I've received quotes from other garages for the same repairs and De Castris always comes up less expensive for the same (and sometimes better) quality parts. This is a family-run business that has been around for decades. I've been a customer of theirs for over 10 years and I have always been totally satisfied with their work and prices.

My family has been going to this garage since 1999, they have always been the best and most honest mechanics around the chateauguay area. Went in for a suspension issue, they were able to find more damaged parts than another mechanic and did it for less!

(Translated) I had my winter tires installed and then they informed me that my rims were a bit dented due to a crash while driving. I thought it was weird because it never happened to me. Driving to the garage everything was fine which I found it funny at first. After the tires were put on, the car started to roll with a funny sound. I suspect them of having damaged my rims during the installation of my winter tires and I will return to confront them. (Original) J'ai fait poser mes pneus d'hiver et ils m'ont ensuite informé que mes jantes étaient un peu bosselé à cause que j'ai eu un choc en conduisant. Je trouvais ça bizarre car ça m'est jamais arrivé. En conduisant pour me diriger au garage tout allait bien que j'ai trouvé ça drôle au début. Après que les pneus furent poser, l'auto commençait à rouler avec un drôle de son. Je les soupçonne d'avoir abîmé mes jantes durant la pose de mes pneus d'hiver et je vais retourner les confronter.

Came in for a warranty repair. 10 days later, I inspect my car to see that the parts are already rusted on at least 50% of the surface.. I call them back to insure they put new parts on my car, and they make me feel like the bad guy from the get go. I also checked on my receipt and it's not even the right Part Number on it (compared pictures with authentic NAPA parts online). Those parts are worth 90$ each, I can't believe they would rust so much in 10 days. Also, got charged for almost an hour of labor even though it took them 20 minutes to ''fix''. Definitely not recommend this place.

Was referred here by a friend. Went in with a gas tank problem. Would cost me $500 to change the gas tank. Was told the car was worth about that price and he'd buy it off me for that price, so I sold it to him. Saw the car for sale the following week for $2000 dollars. Since I have nothing good to say about this, I'll let you make up your own mind about their morals. If they're able to do that, it kind of makes me wonder about the rest of their transactions. (My friend has stopped going there since, I hadn't told him about my situation)

Only good if you go there for simple things like oil changes, tire installations, shocks, mufflers, and anything that does not require diagnostics.
