Our car broke down hours before we were supposed to leave the island for Texas and every shop on the island was full and couldn't help us (it was tire season which meant a several day wait everywhere) but these guys specifically did everything possible to get us on our way even though they were booked and we got off the island that evening as planned. They definitely didn't have to do all that extra work, but they did, all while being super kind. My mom is now convinced islanders are the sweetest people in Canada. Definitely would recommend this shop to everyone and anyone; they know their stuff and they have such big hearts.

Matt was so helpful. Originally went in for a MVI which was done quickly and at a reasonable price. A week later my car broke down and contacted Matt who thankfully was able to take my car in that day. There was constant communication and the work was done well and quickly. Back in summer when visiting PEI we had to have our van's ball joints changed and after calling around a few places, Midtown Auto Repair was an easy choice. Matt was awesome to deal with; super friendly, great communication and very informative in making sure we understood the basics of what was being done. I went there to get an inspection done of my vehicle. I made an appointment prior to that and I arrived to my appointment early. The moment I arrived I was very graciously greeted by Matt. The business owner. He was very polite and they took my car in 15 minutes early. During the time I was waiting Matt told me about the WiFi and gave me the password(which is posted on the wall) Matt and I talked and he is a very easy guy to talk to and he seems quite smart. My car passed inspection needing only minor work. The work took 40 minutes including the inspection. His computer system wanted to charge me for an hour of labor but Matt put it to just 30 minutes. A very kind gesture. Unfortunately they had no inspection stickers. Happens I suppose. No big deal. Matt told me that I could stop by anytime, or that he would be willing to come to me to drop it off. A very kind offer. I just told him that I'd drop by to pick it up. I drop in about 15 minutes after they open. I didn't even get a chance to get out of my car before Matt ran up with my sticker and paper in hand. He said to me "no need to get out of your car" with a big smile on his face. He scraped my previous sticker on and applied the new one all without me having to do anything. The mechanics are great, and the customer service is even better. They have certainly earned me as a life long customer.

We went to Midtown Auto Repair & Tire without an appointment because our door couldn’t be opened. They took our car in immediately and fixed it in less than 20 minutes which I was actually kind of sad about since I really enjoyed watching TV, having WiFi, and watching a cute boy repairing my car. We were visiting PEI when we developed a serious problem with our brakes. These guys saved the day for us. They repaired our brakes and we were on our way. They did an excellent job at a very fair price. We highly recommend this garage. Thanks MidTown! Update: when fall arrived and I was switching over to snow tires I realized that they had my lug nuts on way too tight...they need to learn how to properly torque the lug nuts to spec. They definitely didn't torque mine!
