These guys are great! Super efficient and honest.My father in-law was told by his previous mechanic he would need his brakes changed in 6 months. 6 months later we brought the car to Speedy and they tell us the pads are 70% and don't need to be done anytime soon. Will definitely be going back the next time major work needs to be done. Side note: to the people below who gave 1 stars - how can you give 1 star when they didn't even get the opportunity to provide you service? You give them 1 star because they wouldn't let you borrow a tape measure or give you a quote over the phone? What a joke

So I was given my mom's car (awesome) but ended up with a really bad fix (not so great) They not only got me in really0 fast but they were super helpful and it actually cost a lot less then I was anticipating. I was recommended to go there by a stranger and I'm so glad I took their advice. I was actually really apprehensive as I am currently not working and money has been so tight but I had no choice. They could have charged me for a whole new muffler and I wouldn't have known any different but I ended up only needing a new clamp which cost much less. From everything I observed while there, the staff are hardworking, honest, and all-around great-I'd definitely recommend them. Thanks so much guys!!

This place has a great team of pros. I've brought them custom exhaust to install and no problem. I tried to buy a cat and y pipe today and they insisted I save the money and they would fabricate a new pipe and repair it instead. Finished in mere minutes! Came here after Meineke down the road gave me an absurd quote and said the job would take 2 hours... Speedy legit lived up to their name and were done in 45 minutes at half the price and I looked at the work.. My exhaust had come apart and they used proper stainless steel clamps and shim to put it back together. Great place, super friendly people. They actually deserve the high rating that they have.

Perhaps the best customer service I have received and observed in a long time. I didn't have an appointment, but they took my car in for me and fixed my muffler in less than an hour. Being a woman I didn't feel unsure about the service I was receiving and paid a fair price. HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY Dropped my truck off to get brakes replaced (not knowing what condition they were in), after about an hour I received a call letting me know that they had lifted the truck up and inspected it and determined that the brakes were in good condition and it was unnecessary to replace them, all of this free of charge, I didn't have to pay a penny. Many places would take advantage of a situation like this and do work on the vehicle just to earn a quick buck, so you can go to Speedy Auto knowing that you're leaving your vehicle with someone you can trust who isn't going to do extra unnecessary work on your vehicle and upsell you just to earn a few extra bucks.

My wife took her Toyota Venza in to Heffners for an oil change and to see if they could find the source of a noise she could hear from under her car. They found nothing. After a couple thousand mile drive to Florida and back, the noise was very noticeable. I searched for the best repair garages in KW and Speedy on Fairway Rd had 4.8 out of 5 after 139 reviews. I suggested that she take her car there and today they squeezed her in on short notice and determined that a couple of loose bolts were the culprits. They replaced the bolts and asked only for a good review. You can bet your life that Speedy will be our go to repair shop from now on. It only took them about ten minutes and a couple bolts to recruit a new customer. They only have 5 stars available, or I'd give them more.

Amazing experience, they really care about the customer and they're fast. I've gone there twice and both times they were quick and reasonably priced. Update: I recently went there to have my shock replaced and they noticed a coolant leak. They told me they were unable to find the part and not to drive it if possible. I was very disappointed as I felt that the person I spoke with made it sound as if the part was impossible to find. It's hard enough having an old car but to have a mechanic tell you it's nearly impossible to find is just very disheartening. I think I'll return to my previous mechanic as they were always able to find parts for me despite my car being older.

Claimed I needed to have my flex pipe on exhaust replaced to obtain safety certificate. Extra Charge $200.00. The vehicle was then checked by Toyota dealer who tested the car, and certified that there was no problem with the flex pipe, forcing Speedy to then issue the safety certificate, with profuse apologies from their manager and the mechanic who worked on my car. The crooks, likely dupe most unsuspecting customers. Beware!

Wow. Best service ever !!!! I desperately needed my brakes done. Over the Christmas I could hear them grinding and new years day was the first day we were able to find the time. I had called a couple places that closed around noon and one. When I called here they were so accommodating !!! They closed at noon but still made the time to get my car in and fix the brakes. There was no extra charges !!!! I will most definitely be going back there for any future services !!!!

I have tried a lot of shops in Kitchener. I have lived here my whole life. I have been buying and fixing cars for 40 years in the area. Two years ago I tried Speedy Auto Service for a quick snow tire change. They did that so well that I was impressed enough to go back. Next I tried them for brake work. I was going to do it myself but did not have time, so I thought they could do it. They found the problem immediately and fixed it at a fair price. I was pleasantly surprised again. Recently I dropped in, just passing by to set up an appointment for a heavy rattle on starting of the engine. They took me immediately, fixed the problem in 5 minutes and charged me nothing. I am going back with all my service needs. Jeff behind the counter is considerate and very helpful. Steve is an amazing mechanic that takes a great amount of pride in his work. My muffler has been making alot of noises for a couple of weeks now. Been busy with work so couldn't make to my regular shop. I was passing Speedy and decided to stop in to have my car looked at. Spoke to Jeff at the counter who is very professional and understanding. He didn't hesitate to get my car in and after a few mins my car was out. Turned out my muffler was loose and all that was needed was a bit of adjustment. Jeff came back advised that my car is all set to go and it was a "NO CHARGE". I have dealt with what used to be Minute Muffler then turn to Speedy Muffler with the original owner Ron and still go with the new owner same mechanics which are all top-notch guys on Fairway Road in Kitchener I have been dealing with them for over 35 years and I get all my service I've done on my car there from transmission power reverse flashes 2 engine oil change and filter changes tire rotations brakes tire changes from Summer's to Winters they do it all at speedy and they do it well they do it right the first time and their prices are fair and I can honestly tell you from dealing with them for over 35 years they are true to their word and they do great work. Many of my family members go there and have for 35 years or more again I would highly recommend that place for any kind of work on your car. Just ask for Jeff acting manager.

I thought I reviewed these guys before but maybe it was under Minute Muffler. I started going here years ago when I had car issues but I had just been ripped off by econo lube so I wasn’t sure I’d ever find a mechanic that I could trust that I didn’t know personally. I checked out the reviews and there were so many good ones that I took a chance on them and I’m so glad I did! I believe my first visit was for a problem with my power steering. I happened to run into a mechanic relative just before the appointment and he told me if the guys charged me less than x then I could trust them. Appointment time came and it was less than he said so I let down my guard and haven’t regretted it since! Since I first went the guy running the place retired, the place changed hands and names, the office has had a facelift, some others have moved on, and yet it’s the still same awesome core group of guys every time I go. They have gone above many times and whenever I have a problem I know my guys will take care of me. They’re always super busy and their location is tricky but they have always managed to get me in and I’ve never seen them turn anyone away. They prefer you drop off the car for the day but they’re not opposed to booking you in for specific times if you don’t have that luxury. I know this is long but with how well they have treated me they deserve far more from me than the typical “great guys, reasonable prices” type of review. Although that’s true too. tl/dr: Give them a chance. I highly doubt you’ll regret it ????

I booked an appointment online and showed up at the appointment time. They immediately took my car in and within a minute I was told that I didn't need a new muffler, just a piece of galvanized pipe welded in. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Great job!

Took my wife's SUV in as it was making a weird noise that sounded like it was coming from the front. Steve the lead mechanic took it out and he wasn't sure either, he put it up on the hoist then suspended the tires and let it run while having a look underneath. turns out it was a sticker in the driveshaft the was coming off and as the shaft sped up it was ticking against the driveshaft housing. When i asked what I owed, Jeff at the desk said no charge!! Awesome service no one does anything for nothing these days. these guys go above and beyond.. Thank guys!!

I emailed about an appointment Aug 30 2020 (Sunday night) and got a response back from Spedy/Jaimie by email on Monday next day at 7:12am. I had to reschedule and was 15 minutes late for the rescheduled appointment. After a short wait, they took me in anyway. I had a muffler clamp came loose on the weekend when going over LRT tracks. I located it and moved it out of the way and temporarily tightened it but using just jacks and no propane left on my torch on Sunday night, I couldn't get at it easily or warm it up to expand one side to fit over the rear exhaust pipe. The technician saw the piece that was loose when I explained it and after 10 minutes he had the clamp back on, when the car was on Speedy's hoist. Jeff got me the car back, fixed, and no charge for the short repair. Super service and and unexpected bonus. Great customer service and quality!

“At speedy youre a somebody” i guess this phrase only applies when you leave a good review. Stay away if youre looking for an oil change the tech who did mine torqued the drain bolt too tight and to my surprise the threads from my oil pan came off with the bolt. Been going to these guys for a few years and not even an apology from them let alone saying they would fix the problem. If amazon didnt sell oil pan thread repair kits i wouldve been looking at 1000$ to get a pan replaced at a shop. Thanks guys truly superb mechanics with excellent customer service.

My brakes failed several days ago with no warning. The car was towed to Speedy where they found that the brake lines were corroded and needed to be replaced. As always, the staff were very kind and professional and the car was ready for pickup within a few hours. I had done some online research of costs and their price was in line with estiimates I had seen. Speedy is definitely the only company I would take my car to for repair service.

Where do I start....This place should be investigated by the government of Ontario for their shady practices. I recently moved here from BC so I needed to get my vehicle safety inspection done in order to have it registered in Ontario and get my Ontario license plates. I googled a place and they were closest to my house (turns out that was very unlucky for me). I booked my appt and had the safety done today. Cost me $141 after tax and his team of thief's miraculously found numerous issues totaling more than $1000. He said I would have 10 days to fix everything he claimed was wrong before he would approve the safety. If not fixed by then I would have to get a safety done again for another $141. Rather than listen to this scam artist and allow his clearly incompetent mechanic (Steve H) touch anything else on my vehicle, also taking into consideration I just had a safety done in BC in March which they found zero issues, i decided to take it down the street to another far more reputable service shop. What a great decision this turned out to be. Not only was it $17 cheaper for the safety inspection as well as an E-Test-something Ron and his scam artists don't do, yet they feel okay about charging you more just for a safety inspection than the other place charged me for safety and e-test, anyway what do you know, this place didn't find any issues (just like the Canadian tire I used in BC) and passed my vehicle without mentioning anything that Ron tried to scam out of me. Of course after confronting Ron (the biggest thief and owner of satans garage aka Speedy Auto Service Kitchener) about refunding the $140 he stole from me he turned red and said he would not give me the money back. You could see all over his face this has happened before, and will happen again. Today I saved over a thousand dollars even with the $140 he took from me by going to a far better and more reliable automotive service centre. If you take your car to Ron be prepared to pay far more then you will else where and be prepared to pay for things that don't even need to be fixed. Ron has to keep the lights on so he will rob you blind if you let him. Thank god I had the day off and had the time to go elsewhere, or Ron would be laughing all the way to the bank with the unnecessary repairs and money he would have gotten out of me. Like I said do not take your car to Ron. I wouldn't even bring Ron a lawn mower to fix. Would be cheaper to buy a new car then ask Ron to touch it. Somehow 3 different auto centers since March have done safety inspections on this vehicle and 2 find zero issues and Ron and Speedy Auto find over $1000 worth of issues. That right there says it all. Do not go to Ron. Save your time and money.

The week prior I had a oil change at Mr Lube where they told me so many things needed doing on my car. Panicked I went straight to Speedy to double check. They reviewed the concerns and put me at ease. No charge. Guess where my next oil change will be? I bought an older Vibe which needed a safety. They were very good. While it cost a lot to get it up to spec I never felt I was being ripped off.

STAY AWAY... I called this shop asking for a quote to replace the transfer case in my vehicle, which is a major repair and costs a few thousands dollars. The guy on the phone asked me how I know there is a problem in transfer case, and I told him that I had the car checked by a couple mechanics, and they both verified that there is an issue with transfer case. However, I told him that I am shopping around for a reasonable quote and I talked to other mechanics before him. He asked me how much the others are charging, and I told him that it varies from mechanic to another, and this is why I am calling.. I mean why would I tell you how much they other mechanics charge?!!. I have dealt with many mechanics, but this was the first one that treated me like that. When I call a mechanic for a quote, I expect a quote only, not an interrogation! He was rude to the max!! Anyway, I am glad that he showed me their true colour before I decided to spend a couple of grands on their business.. so thank you for that :)

Thursday night, long weekend ahead my rear Brake lines went. Called my dealership and could not get in until early May. I then remembered my friends at Minute Muffler, now Speedy. I left a message to call me Saturday and by God, Jeff called at 7:15am... long story short, had my SUV back by 10:00am with two new flex hoses in driving condition. Before any work was done they called to explain what repairs were required and what the cost would be. My car was ready very quickly (dropped it off at 8am and ready by 11am). Also I need to point out that throughout the entire process (first call to picking up the car) the ENTIRE Management (Jeff) and Staff were very friendly and polite. This is very rare these days. Great job. Highly recommended

Just brought my car in with an antifreeze leak.... They through it up on the hoist. found it was a clamp, replaced it, topped off coolant at no charge. These guys are always helpful and accommodating....as well....They can be trusted. Been going to them for years and would recommend them for anyone needing a trustworthy service center for your vehicle.

I called today to get a quote on a windshield replacement, I told the guy on the phone I had called a couple places to see what the cost would be. He gave me a quote then asked if I wanted to book with him. I said I'd like to call a couple other places to see the difference in prices he said " fine, go waste other people's time!" Great attitude towards a potential customer! The man on the phone was either too arrogant to care or to dumb to know that bad customer service equals bad reviews!! I won't recommend this place

Had a splash guard hanging. I brought the car in to get it fastened back on. Expected to pay $30 at least. Guys grabbed the keys, put it on the lift and fixed in in 5 minutes. Charged me nothing. Great guys.

never come here. was looking into getting a pipe for my exhaust, had to measure a few things out in the parking lot and i simply asked if they had a tape measure i could borrow for 2 mins. buddy told me he only has 1 measuring tape and they're using it out in the shop. really? gladly went to part source where they let me borrow a tape measure and didn't even bother to come back here to buy the pipe i needed. try good customer service if you want any service.
