Never write reviews but after reading the reviews for this shop I need too! I have been going to these guys for years! I love this shop. I remember 7-8 years ago, being quoted over 800 dollars for a repair at another shop and these guys fixed it for under 150, since then I haven't gone anywhere else. I have never been taken advantage of. Repairs are always done in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable cost! I dont trust my cars with anyone else!

Great service, very fair pricing. Where else would the fellow at the service desk say “that is all you need, I would love to sell you more, but you don’t need anything else”. Kudo’s to fair and honest guys. I recommend them, besides they have a giant rocket in front of the building, with a great story behind it.

Absolutely terrible service, and awful work on my vehicle. Had a clutch replaced on my car, 400 dollars cheaper than competitor shops in the area. Should've been my first warning sign.. After about 10 months, I needed my engine swapped (obviously unrelated). My mechanic doing the swap noticed my clutch to be considerably worn. This mechanic owns a very reputable shop, far beyond Ace Tire. I let him know that I had just had it replaced 10 months ago. He informed me that there is no way this amount of wear was from 10 months of usage, even if heavily abused. Also, I know how to drive stick. I no longer had my original invoice, and required one from Ace Tire so that I could have my current mechanic contact the manufacturer and conduct the labour associated with a replacement covered under warranty for one year. ACE was in denial, very defensive in thinking I was questioning his workmanship.. even though I had not. I was extremely polite trying to deal with this guy and he was belligerent and stopped answering me altogether. My last message to him was simply telling him my intentions of trying to have the clutch replaced under warranty and that I was currently out of work due to covid and things are tight, and I'm just doing my best here. He ignored me so I went to the BBB. EVERY REPORT THIS MAN SENT TO THE BBB WAS FULL OF BLATANT LIES. He said he asked to inspect the part before giving me an invoice. Thats bull, he never asked. He stated he repeatedly asked. Also.. why? Just give me a damn invoice and I'll deal with it. He said he didn't have the invoice, it was gone, because he moved to a new "system". Wow, how professional. There is a lot more to the story as well. Thanks to this scum bag business, ill have to replace my clutch at full cost. Beware of this man. I wouldn't be surprised if he touched up someone else's used clutch and put it in my vehicle. Absolute trash. EDIT: Response to your professional response. You're out of your mind. I know how to drive stick. My motor was wrecked on a timing issue. Nice redirection of blame. I'd like to reiterate not to use this guy as a mechanic. He will used salvaged parts to fix your vehicle and claim they're brand new, I'm sure. I ga e him the benefit of the doubt, but as you can see in his response below, he admits he didn't even respond to my nicely worded Facebook message, simply asking for a new invoice. Is it difficult to provide an invoice for a defective part, bud? Why do you need to see it? I had a reputable, licensed mechanic telling me it was worn. Why would i want to be without my vehicle longer than I had to with the motor being replaced? You're out of your mind. Provide the invoice like LITERALLY any reputable business would. Pathetic customer service. As for your keyboard warrior comment, I'd be more than happy to stop in and let you know my feelings about your poorly run business to your face. I'll be sure to do so next time I'm in town. Also note, nice professionalism using my entire name in your response. I'll make sure to see if you are allowed to do so.

Honest mechanics, quality customer service, and accurate work that they can (and will) stand behind. They come highly recommended by other mechanics and previous customers. Not only were they able to diagnose a tricky issue that has eluded several other professional mechanics and shops, but they managed to do so at a good price point and with plenty of communication as to the what/why/how in relation to my vehicle. I can tell you definitively that If my vehicle has an issue I cant handle, I'll be sending it over to the guys at Ace Tire & Auto. Believe me when I say that you should too.

The owner is a jerk! My mother and my 3 year old daughter popped by to see the rocket ship in front of the shop and have her photo taken. The owner came out and yelled at my mother and terrified my daughter. My 3 year old was still upset about the man yelling at her days later. If you didn’t want people coming to take their photo with an iconic Cambridge landmark why he he’ll did you buy it and erect it in front of your shop! Might be a good mechanic but a horrible human being!

Jim and Martin have been looking after my family's cars for over 15 years. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Jim is the most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. If I or my family have any sort of car troubles we only have to pick up the phone, get the vehicle to the shop and everything is handled quickly and prices are beyond fair. These guys are terrific. I must admit Jim was a little scary when I first met him but it didn't take long to get over that feeling and realize he's a great guy. I stumbled upon Ace Tire when I needed an emissions test a couple of years ago and chose them because they were close to where I work. What a great find. I've been taking my car to them ever since.

Jim and martine are the best mechanics ever the only place I go, they are honest and upfront and always take the time to explain thing if you ever have questions and will fit you in when you have emergencies aswell. For example, in my first week of university I had gotten into and accident, my parents called when they got there and we dropped off my car, they made my car drive able for a fair price in a timely manor. They are honestly amazing!! I suggest them to all of my friends when they need thing done to their cars and they alway come back and tell me how great they weren't

They did the work fine and in a reasonable time but the guy at the counter was a total douche. Not friendly at all. I also brought my own part and when the part didn't fit they shopped around for a new one were quoted $50 from the place I got my part from, didn't get it from there ( so they prob got it cheaper somewhere) and then they charged me $79.99 way to live up to the stereotype and rip me off. Not to mention they cut corners when putting my brakes back on and didn't properly grease them up. Now they creak like crazy so I have to take them apart myself and grease then up. Will not be back, I do not recommend them.

If there was negative stars I would've chose that for this shop. Horrible service, the guy in charge was very rude from the second I walked in (I went there because of a referral and was expecting good service) he wouldn't give details about what was being done to my car but I was okay with it as long as he knew what he's doing. When i asked for my AC to be checked I was not told there was going to be any charge for just checking. When they told me it will cost $120 to fix my AC I chose not to because I was not prepared to pay that much money that day, the guy in charge said I still have to pay $80 because they checked my AC. So I asked why i we have to pay without me being warned about this charge from the beginning, he started yelling and said he's not working on the car anymore. He was very very very rude. Was not expecting that at all. Very disappointing. thanks Edit: maybe next time try talking to your customer, understanding their needs and telling them about the costs before hand and not throwing it at them after you've done something without permission. Anyways you just lost a household of 4 cars as your customers. Cheers.
