Wonderful guys especially Tyler Hillis! While visiting Calgary (from Seattle), got a flat tire. Looked them up on Google and made it to this place. Friendly welcome and took my car in fast. My tire was completely destroyed. They quickly ordered a new one, put on a spare and did not charge for the service. Went back the next day and got a new tire. Reasonable price. Efficient. My wife ended up getting a flat tire on her way home from work last week when it was -30 outside. I was just stepping into a prescheduled meeting and needed to find help as quick as I could. Great place. I called when I knew they'd be slammed with winter tire changes. I had my tires put on at a oil change place and they were not right (bad vibrations and pulsing). The person I spoke to at Tirecraft started to book me in for the next day, but decided I should come in asap because there might be a safety issue. NEVER USE ‪#tirecraft‬ CENTRE STREET. We went in for a free brake inspection and they broke off 7 bolts they claimed were rusted on and they charged us $150 to repair them. Instead of perhaps calling us after the 2nd broke to ask if we wanted to continue with out FREE brake inspection. Last year ‪#OKtire‬ was selling me new tires and replaced 2 broken bolt for $1.50. AWESOME #OKtire. YES $1.50 versus $150 for damage THEY CAUSED! Not to mention the oil change we had requested hadn't been done either when we went to pick it up.

Stop searching for an auto shop because this is the one for you! The customer service is amazing at this shop and it keeps me coming back for all my vehicle needs. They have great communication from scheduling you in (which is usually right away), to letting you know what needs repairs or replacing. Not only do I get my regular maintenance done here, this is also my go-to shop for when my older vehicle has broken down or needs repairs. I have been going to them for several years now for my tires, oil changes and minor maintenance. I'm very particular about where I take my truck and who works on it, as my brother is my usual mechanic and I get extremely paranoid when he isn't the one working on it. The crew here did a great oil change, completed a full inspection, found the outer tie rod that needed to be replaced, and then proceeded to repair it, all in the same afternoon. It was a long wait, but it was a super busy day, and worth it. The price was reasonable, and the guy who runs the shop was pleasant to chat with. Highly recommend.

I described what I needed the tires for and Alim provided three options, talking me through the pro's and con's of all and ways to get the same quality tires & wheels but cheaper. After I had chosen a set, I was able to drop the truck in and have it back within 24hour hours.When I collected the truck, it was already running and warm which was a very nice touch as it was -30degree C. Tyler's shop lost our trust and we won't be going back. This week my daughter and I both took our SUV's to this shop for our tire swaps. When my daughter picked up her SUV she had to pay an extra $80 for a new valve stem that "cracked" in the shop. When I picked up my vehicle I was handed one of my locking lug nuts and told they couldn't get it on, and there must be a "burr" in the lug nut. Tyler didn't take the time to try to fix it before charging me full price. We had been using this shop for 2 years. Please go elsewhere, to a shop that is trustworthy and professional.

He also went out of his way to ensure I was kept up to date as we went. Once the inspection was done, he gave me the run down and there was some work to do in order to pass the inspection. I rescheduled and had the vehicle back in the following week. Again, amazing communication and great workmanship. I feel confident that my vehicle was in good hands. Last weekend as I was leaving Calgary I noticed a loud noise that I initially thought was a rock in my wheel. It t turned out to be the lower air dam intake duct that was hanging and dragging that wasn't put back properly after an oil change. After driving past a few places that were closed we drove past Tirecraft and saw the OPEN sign. Unfortunately they had also just closed but Tyler took my vehicle, fixed it, and got us back on the road refusing to take any money for it. Earlier in the week, I had a set of tires installed for another car that I own at the Chinook Tirecraft and didn't get the same level of service. Ward Tirecraft was able to squeeze me in next business day to mount and balance my new winter tires (purchased elsewhere) and do a wheel alignment. They were easy to deal with over the phone, especially since I had to be at work before they opened and after they closed. They even changed my burnt out taillight as requested on the key drop envelope! I had concerns about some minor vibrations after and they told me to come on in. After taking it out, they very respectfully explained why I was experiencing what I was experiencing due to the material type and design of the tire. It gave me peace of mind and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They were very reasonably priced and excellent to deal with.

Single worst experience with any business ever including even car stealerships. Owner is ignorant, a bald faced liar, and reserves no time for the customer. He made a shuttle available but then never made the appointment which was fortunate because they couldn't even get the product delivered correctly. Had to reship product 3 times because of mistakes include wrong color, not getting all of the required parts, and even shipping to the wrong part of the country. An order that was supposed to take 2 weeks ended up almost 2 months late. He even wanted to charge more after the fact. Ordered online instead which was over $200 cheaper and took a weekend to receive with no issues whatsoever. Even BBB recommended taking them to court.

These guys and this place really helped me out. A wheel actually fell off my truck half a block away from this store. Someone walking by told me there was a tire store a few door down. I walked down and went in and asked for some help. At the time, there was only one person on staff, so they couldn't leave to help me, but he lent me a hydraulic jack and a tire iron so I didn't have to mess with the ones in the truck. The vehicle is ready when they say it will be ready. And Tyler he's always willing and able to answer any questions I have no matter how ridiculous they may be. And a real bonus - they are located on the number 3 bus route, so I can leave my car hop on a bus to go to work downtown and pick my car up on my way home. Got a flat tire a block away from this place and thought I was in luck given the reviews. I walked in and the guy literally just stared at me without greeting me at all. In the middle of our conversation the phone rings and he picks it up and starts talking. No “excuse me”, or “sorry, I have to get this”. Just picked it up and ignored me. Really professional right? Told him I got a flat and asked if it could be fixed today. He said they are busy today but I could leave the car here but there’s no guarantee that it would be done today. I needed the car for the night so asked if they could just pop on the spare tire and repair the damaged tire and they said it then might take a couple days?? Not sure why but it would take longer doing that but seemed like they didn’t want my business so I called a different place to get it done there. The place was a few km away and I didn’t want to drive on the flat. So I started to put on the spare tire myself. I’m thinking this might have been a bad look for them “a guy changing his own tire in front of a tire shop” cause the guy comes out and starts saying I can’t do that in their parking lot because of liability problems. Was I supposed to drive back on the road and do it there? I told them I would be 15 minutes and he literally yelled at me, “Just be quick and don’t damage the other cars, Jesus!” And went back into the store. I don’t know what I could’ve done differently here. I felt like I was patient with them given how rude they were when they first met with me. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I’ll definitely be taking my future business elsewhere and would never recommend this place to anyone.

Best service in town! This is the second time I’ve been to this Tirecraft. Both times offer competitive good pricing, fast service, reputable and reliable products. The staff are extremely well managed, mannered and professional. Even when it’s slammed with the first snowfall and everyone’s still running summer tires they’re happy to help as and where possible. Will be using all the time every time!

Hourly rates are more or less the same across the board for reputable mechanics so bargain hunting can leave you on the side of the road in a hurry. These guys get a lot of work done in a relatively short period and will not hesitate to accurately tell you which repairs can wait. I feel extremely confident that my fleet will experience minimal downtime and my babies are well looked after.
