bad bad bad. They think and talk with the benefit of their wallet in mind, not what is best for consumer. I got 1 tire fixed no drama there. After that time I talked with them, about what to do about a dead unreparable spare tire. We came to the conclusion that it would be best for me to get 2 tires to mount on my truck and then cycle one of the old ones in to the spare. (so 2 original, identical, ones for the front, 2 new-to-me used ones for the rear -- all 4 where the same size and a old one for the spare). They gave me the cost, and time lines, and all sorts of information, and then when it came time to mount it, it looks like they were too busy to do it, so they made up some excuses that made no sense as to why they count not be mounted. It leaves me wondering, why told me you could do it in 2 phone calls and a personal visit to the location, knowing all the information and then back out last second. They said they could do it (as long as they see money signs) then they chose to cut and run leaving my high and dry. Now I have to find some other tire shop to mount my tires. GRRRR. Update 1 : Google "can you mount different tires on a truck" and first hit is popular mechanics -- 6 common tires myths debunked --- number 2 myth specifically says when replacing 2 tires on a truck, put the best set in the back. Update 2: Already called a larger chain and confirmed they are happy to do it for me, and don't anticipate any issues.

Rims were purchased at this location and always felt a vibration. Tires were rebalanced several times. The diagnosis was one bad tire. Replaced tires and issue persisted. I was diagnosed with play in the transmission and broken strut. Funny thing, I have no issue at all with my second set of tires and rims. Bought a new set of rims (Kijiji) and I have no longer issue.

What a scam! I took my 1 year old tire in for an easy repair and they tried to sell me on 4 brand new ones for $500+ more than Costco charges. Said there were 4 holes, but there were 2 small ones. Said they couldn't guarantee a fix and wouldn't do it, only option is to buy a new set. Canadian Tire did it no problem and gave me a 100 day warranty on the repair. Blatant attempt at turning a $30 sale into $1500. Despicable!

I changed my tires and got a set of winter tires here. Staff where friendly and price was reasonable. The best thing I enjoyed was the waiting area they had. There was good coffee, cable RV, comfortable seats and even computer desks and phone. It was great for me working on my laptop while they were working on car. The only weird thing that made me give 4 stars was that, they asked full payment for tires up front in cash. So, I had to go to bank and get the money before they could start working on the car.

Got summer tires exchanged for winter tires. Had a specific request to not use impact wrench as my wheels lug nuts were aluminium. They followed this and did exactly what they were told. As far as I'm concerned I will be taking my car there whenever I have tire needs.

It was Sunday and Harper’s was closed so, I took my car to another place in town to get my flat tire looked at. They said it had to be replaced and so, I told them I would book it in at harpers; as they are my normal tire shop. I called harpers and let them know what was told to me and booked in. I was fully prepared to pay for two new tires at a price of $840, as both rear’s have to be replaced and you can’t replace just one. After looking at the tire, they called me and said it could be easily fixed and no new tires would be needed.... I couldn’t believe it. I went from looking at an $840 bill to $50. It’s really nice to know there’s still honest people out there who do quality work.

I won't be dealing with this company again. The three major screwups in the last 2 years are: 1) Billing me for entirely the wrong services, and only catching it when I called to question the invoice 2) Balancing my tires incorrectly - causing a shudder in the steering column. Only discovered when I took my car to a mechanic and they rebalanced the tires, fixing the issue 3) Not returning my tires to my car when I told them I no longer wanted to store my tires with them. (Accidentally returning them to storage) - Didn't notice until halfway home, now need to do another trip.

When I went to get them put back on rims I found out one of the tires was ripped and unusable. When I took the tire to them they denied it and did nothing to help. Don't trust Harpers Tire.

The first time I tried Harper's my contact was with the manager via email. I was quoted for a set of tires. The manager suggested a different brand of tire that more suited my application and cost less money. He did not push on my his suggestion. Thank you! I noticed that they also do full mechanical services. My second visit was to repair my truck. Customer service was consistent. They are courteous and accommodating. I found their technical staff very thorough. They check manufacture's recommendations and recall information. This resourcefulness saved me a repeating visit for the same issue. I found their pricing reasonable. Thanks!

I have never had any problem with this shop. Everyone has done their job well and been courteous. I also think it is great that the management responds to every Google review honestly..... the days of 'the customer is always right' is an archaic and narrow view and I love the responses he or she gives publicly when folks, many of whom probably never even set foot at this location, try to hurt this local business by being trolls. My wife and I always use Harper's Tire for our seasonal switch overs and when we buy tires. They have always been very polite and on time with everything. We also used them for a 60 point inspection on our SUV and we very pleased with all the information given to us. Will always go back.

Brought my car here today for an alignment, was quite happy with work done, staff member I dealt with was helpful and communicated very well. Was not happy at all with the price and charges added. They charge $140 for a 4 wheel alignment, which is a tiny bit high, but I was okay with it. However I was also charged on top a $70 "steering wheel angle sensor reset fee" and $16 in shop supplies. I trust they really did need to do the reset, and probably used some shop supplies too. But $70 to plug a tool in and click reset and drive around the block and $16 for some liquid wrench and such to free my bolts? Not stoked, should have been patient and gone to the dealership where I would have paid about $100 less. As far as I can tell all they changes was set my toe and rear camber, and its a nearly new car that has been away from salt and snow most of its life, I know for sure that my bolts would not have put up much of a fight. I understand that my car is slightly more complicated to do front camber adjustment on, and can take a little extra time and money, but the amount they charged me to not do that, and the amount they quoted for if I wanted them to put in that extra work was unreasonable. I had my review set as slightly higher, but the passive aggressive and customer blaming way the manager responds to bad reviews has put a really bad taste in my mouth and moved me from a 2 star to 1 star.

First time here yesterday. Glad I came for a quote on tires and brakes. Apparently the last place felt I needed brakes but am no where needing them. Did get new tires and I think these are the best winter tires I have had. Cheaper than the last place. (Who also said I needed brakes) this will be my new go to for my vehicle. Honesty, professional and quick. I even wanted the ‘better’ winter tire but was told they don’t wear well and suggested tires that were 2-3 hundred less. Impressed. I was recommended Harper’s Tire and am so glad I checked them out. Had to come back the next day. Noticed my signal light was having issues. Tom seemed to know right away the issue and offered to fix it right away. Turns out he checked all my lights and I had a few that were not working. Good thing he caught it so I don’t get a ticket or in an accident. Thank you Tom and Harper’s Tire.

Snow tires removed May 18, 2017 before trip south. Service seemed good, great location, and they had time to work me in. The problem? By the time I got to Denver, the lug nut on the right front tire was gone and the tire loose - dangerous! Had to take time out of road trip to spend in Honda dealer getting the car checked and the tire and lug nut put on correctly. I've had the Honda dealer in Calgary do the tire changes every year for 10 years and this is the first time a lug nut or tire hasn't been put on well. When I called Harper's to tell them about the problem and they need to get their mechanics to tighten the nuts and tires well, the guy said you have to drive for 150-250 km and come back for a re-check to be sure, etc. etc. No other mechanic we've been to has ever mentioned that, but then we've never had this problem before either. So it just seems like Harper's has a nice excuse to cover up for their shoddy and potentially dangerous work. Won't go back there again.

Bad workmanship and bad customer service. My car had a low tire pressure indication. I took my car to this location and they said that its Tire pressure monitor was defective. They replaced it. Next day I got low pressure indication again. I went there again and told them about it. They said that another tire pressure monitor was defective and needed replacement. I was not satisfied with their statement. So I took my car to Toyota dealership. They checked it and told me that someone has installed an after market tire pressure monitor which was not working. They replaced the monitor and gave me the defective one. I went back to Harper tire and told them the story and gave them their defective monitor. I asked for reimbursement of my money but they refused to accept their mistake. The guy said that he would talk to the manager and call me back tomorrow but I never received that call. I have learned the lesson that never go there for any mechanical or electrical problem. Note: The reply from Harper tire is not correct. I was not offered any in store credit. They were given the opportunity to fix the problem when I had this issue next day but they tried to cover up their mistake and tried to charge me again to replace their defective part.

took my car in for brake warrantee. they sold me the high end pads and rotors. warped twice within two years. second time in. they told me they would replace the rear pads and machine the rotors. I told them I just wanted the fronts done the backs were out of warrantee. they told me it would be no charge and they were bending over for me. got the bill and they charged me. I told them I am not paying for work I didn't ask for. he asked me " if I thought this was fair" I told him I won't pay for it!! got the car back, damage to the rims and drivers door. go somewhere else, they are dishonest and damage your car.

I bought 8 tires and 4 rims. I did not push on the price as l asked what would Harper Tire do for me to get my business. I was offered free tire rotation and summer and winter change over. and 1 year free storage. I did not take Harper up on storage, as I wad not sure if l would be in a year. However that was not in writing. So when went in to my summer put on they charge me over 200% the going rate. And the person on the front desk was immediately rude when l question the charge and refuse to contact the manager. Rude, rude, rude. And no honour in their word. Go somewhere else where they appreciate customers.

Dropped my car off for an inspection on the 22nd. I was tempted to give two stars since it was completed in a timely fashion; however, the shop techs broke my sunroof by collapsing 1 corner and getting it off the tracks, did not notify me at pickup, and later refused to do anything about it. Guy at the front desk's defence was originally "it was one of the failure items" even though I tested it before I dropped it off (perfectly functional), later moving to the classic "well I didn't do it" and refusing to tell me who did. This *extremely* unprofessional, even for a tire shop. I've notified my friends who regularly attend the second location and they will not be returning. If you like to get your car back in better shape than the way it went in, avoid these goofs. Hit up the other numerous shops on the block – ones that are not tire shops. You'll have a much nicer experience. Heck, even their reply to this review shows that they are not willing to take accountability for their mistakes. Why would I write up such a detailed and long-winded review if I didn't even visit the shop? Do you think I have nothing better to do with my time than notify people about your garbage workmanship?

I don't generally take the time to write reviews, even when I have had a positive experience. The team at Harper's Tire are second to none. When they say they value family, it shows in their internal culture. Culture starts from the top down and they treat their team like family. As a long time client, when I call to get something done, I know it will be right the first time. While they are not the cheapest price in town, the value you get for the small premium pays dividends. I would highly recommend Harper's for all your vehicle needs - from oil changes to tires and brakes.

Never again over priced and they did a shitty job, did not reset the TPMS system and I ended up having to go to canadian tire for a TPMS reset, and they told me the tires were not balanced, stay away!!!!

The technician purposely turned off my dash camera and took my car on a 10k joy ride. The reason why I know about it is by reviewing my video recordings and checked the odometer. The video showed my car being parked at their front door by me and all of the sudden it teleported inside their shop... The car should be in the shop at all times for the thing I needed them to do. Base on my experience I say stay away from this place. Expensive, dishonest and very careless!!!

Warranty ran out on my Jeep so switched from dealership to Harper's after seeing their story on the local news. Very friendly out the gate from moment I arranged appointment over email, to picking up Jeep. Did a mount/install of new tires and manual transmission servicing ($100+ cheaper than dealership for the latter!) and only took until early afternoon. Hoping to use this outfit from now on for all my Jeep needs- thanks guys!

I came here to get a tire patched. After taking my car in I was told it was not repairable. They told me that I would need to replace the tire which would have been fine, except that I have all wheel drive and my tires need to all match. They said that they had never heard of the type of tire I currently had on my car and tried up selling me to four new tires. I decided to put my spare on and think about it which was a good idea because the tire I needed was a Michelin defender, I did not need 4 new tires.

This is my first time dealing with harper’s tire. I took my vehicle for an oil change and tire rotation, when I picked up and make payment I double checked with them whether the rotation was done and I was told yes. When I got the key and got to my vehicle I noticed the rotation wasn’t done because I had previously marked the rear tires before drop off. I challenge them on this and the response “ OH WE FORGOT “. This is despite the fact I paid fully for the job that never done. If I hadn’t marked the rear tires I wouldn’t know. I would advise your organization to have a proper check list in place to prevent such carelessness.

I always get my tires here. They fill them with nitrogen so there is never any pressure deviance. Last time I was in, I didn't mention that my rear windshield wiper wasn't working. When my car was returned, the wiper was fixed at no charge. I find their staff to be friendly, efficient, and honest. .

The staff at Harper’s Tire are awesome. They’re always friendly on the phone and try to help you out the best they can when it’s the time of year to swap tires and everyone is doing it all at the same time. Their customer lounge is great and kid friendly (had a 2.5yr old and 6m old with me last year). We’ve been using their storage service for at least 5 years and their tire swap service. We’ve ordered tires from them too. Their swap and storage prices are great. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone in need of something tire related for their vehicle.
