Took my 2006 car in for an a/c diagnosis. They were helpful, warned me that it could be upwards of $1,200 to repair, unless it's just needing a recharge - - was told all this up front. Diagnosis, re-fill, and explanation came in around $300, a/c works well now - - overall, good experience! There will always be people with a bad experience, as you can see in the other reviews - but frankly, they were upfront and honest with me, and I'll be returning for service in the future.

Terrible customer service! I got a nail in my tire on my way to work yesterday morning and since they are close to my office, I thought of bringing my business to them. I explained to them that I needed a tire repaired or replaced as it had a nail in it. Without even looking at the tire, they told me they would likely not be able to repair it. I asked if I could leave it with them for the day to look at and assess fixing it or getting me a new tire. They said sure, bring in the tire….it was still on the vehicle. I asked them if they expected me to take the tire off the vehicle myself and they said yes, leave us the tire only we do not want the vehicle. I asked for a recommendation in the area for another shop that would look at it and they could not give me one. I ended up finding another tire shop myself and they sold me a new tire. Their gain and your loss. I would never recommend this tire shop to anybody.

I don't get the one star reviews here; I guess some people just can't be satisfied. Fairview Tire treats customers like family. You don't stay in business for 30+ years if you don't. While they aren't always the "cheapest" in town, you get what you pay for, and they do honest work for reasonable prices, and fix (rare) mistakes quickly and without question. Don is a refreshing change in a business filled with dishonest operators.

I have been taking three vehicles for regular service and oil change. Last time I took one of my vehicles for service(break job), they provided me with a quotation and scope of work.Upon completion of the work, not only that they did not honor their quotation, also quality of work was much less than professional workmanship. I talked to the manager/owner with a very unsatisfactory response and lame excuses. I would never take my vehicle there again and I would suggest buyers be aware.

First experience with them. Oh , they are pro !!! They are pro !!! They told me price around 120$ and gave me invoice for 740$ for tires rotation and front brake pads changing. If you want to grab such "bargain deal", you should go there right now. I don't want even to know they ever exist.

I had been emailing Don back and forth continuously over the course of around a month. He answered all the questions I had and more. He's very friendly and he replies almost instantly. The location; everyone was accommodating, friendly yet professional. They fitted my rims with new tires and sensors. The job was done really quickly too. Price was the best I could find throughout Burlington and Hamilton. I had no issues whatsoever with the service I was provided. They did an excellent job! I would give them 5 more stars if I could. In prime tire change-over season (beginning of winter) I had one tire that I needed put on a rim (It is important to note that I didnt purchase this tire at Fairview Tire). After being turned down by two other tire shops; one of which I had purchased ties at many times before, Fairview Tire AutoPro did it on the spot, in 20 minutes! I would highly recommend them.

Regarding invoice:FT083478 00, this is work done on 2006 Vibe with your original tire installation: you should not be in business installing tires and correcting your mistakes. Car was reported to you as vibrating on hwy, with potentially one rim bent, which you identified during a prior visit for the same issue. This 2nd visit, you replaced the rim, yet forgot to fully balance all of the wheels? Car was shacking a lot more after your visit! We decided not to go back, mainly due to your incompetent professional approach. A proper tire place isolated the problem: two wheels bent and all requiring significant attention. They reported high road force on all wheels, i attached yours and theirs invoices.

For over 20 years my husband took care of everything/all to do with our vehicles. He passed away three months ago and for first time I had to deal with simplest of car maintenance, low air pressure in my tires. So after a series of events from going to Costco and finding extremely long line just to fill tire for free, to stopping at gas station to find too cold and not free, somehow led me to Don's shop. My anxiety level was very high when he found that there was a leak due to a nail in the tire. His years of experience with people must have sensed my stress and he was quick to explain what needed to be done, was professional and gave me future tire advise and put my mind at ease. FRAUD WARNING They overcharge for the hours it takes them to do work and tack on additional parts that are not broken while using scare tactics. I took my car somewhere else and the difference was a $450 repair bill vs $1,200 at Fairview. 2 hours of labour vs 6 hours labour here. Car works great 1 year later so additional parts were definitely not broken.

Have had good experience here until recently. Not the fastest shop, but, felt I was getting a fair shake and they didn’t go overboard with the pressure for other work to be done. This past Saturday (May 26) I came back after my last visit in the fall to (I thought) replace a squeaky (not worn) front brake pad they had diagnosed previously. Work did not NEED to be done, but, I was getting tired of the squeal, oil change while I was there as well. So I drop off and go for a walk, come back and to shorten this part, they were not positive which brake (or front or back) was the issue, all the brakes look good lots of wear left on pads, no scoring so I decide to just go with a brake service and live with it. Couple of hundred bucks later I pay and drive home, notice a little shudder in the brake as I pull to a stop, nothing big - after all the mechanic did a test drive right? It quickly got worse after I went out in the afternoon to do some shopping. To the point it sounded like damage was being done. Called back to Mike and he said I was out of luck for the day as the mechanics were packing up, best he could offer was Monday afternoon. I asked to drop off in morning and get a loaner so I didn’t miss work, he was able to do that. Did not drive the vehicle at all on Sunday as I could not trust it or let it deteriorate any more. Made it there after an anxiety filled drive, turning heads ever time I touched the brakes. About midday I called in (no call to me yet) and Don informed me that one of the bolts for the front left brake was completely missing and had not been properly tightened before they returned the car to me and offered his apology, surprisingly only damage was scratching on the inside of the wheel rim. Very surprising because the noise it made on the agonizing drive there was extreme. So disappointed on a couple of fronts 1) mechanic checks, for something as important as brakes wouldn’t a second check by another mechanic/tech be a good idea? 2) on Saturday afternoon there should have been an offer to see the vehicle right away, even if it was only Mike to assess if the vehicle was safe to drive (I told him at the time I was concerned) 3) after finding out it was their fault, understanding how it put me out, there was nothing more than the apology offered. IMO comping the service or future service costs should have been offered.
